Monkey King Noodle Company Will Open in Fort Worth - Eater Dallas

"Monkey King Noodle Company, one of Dallas’s favorite destinations for soup dumplings and noodle bowls, will open a new outpost in Fort Worth. According to a press release, the location is set to open inside the Foodhall at Crockett Row, joining spots like Oni Ramen and Cinnaholic. This is the second attempt at a food hall location for Monkey King, which opened a short-lived (and now-shuttered) outpost at Plano’s beleaguered Legacy Hall. I had the pork dumplings and tried one of the soup dumplings and have to say that the soup dumplings will have me back VERY soon. That little basket of juicy goodness was 👌. The pork dumplings were also good and the prices were good as well for what you got. See you there soon.

Soup dumplings - Barely had any soup and was a little warmer than room temperature. It seemed as if maybe the dumplings had been sitting around, soaked up the soup in the skin, and was served reheated. I also asked for the chili oil and received a red sauce that seemed like an amalgamation of the bottom of a sauce container with the leftover crumbs of chili flakes. It was not a busy time (early Friday evening), so I was left very disappointed. These dumplings were no better than frozen ones I could have bought.

Best soup dumplings in DFW! My brother and I have been looking for a place after getting back from spending 5 months in China and every place we tried was lacking.. Except this place!! So happy we found it and that it's in a cool Food Hall
