I can not say enough great things about this place. In town for an event, and upon reading the reviews, I decided to give them a try. Walked in, and we were immediately greeted and seated by Debbie J who ended up being our waitress. We wanted to try everything out but with Debbie's recommendation we went for a full slab of ribs with an order of brisket with a 4 veggie platter that consisted of Mac n cheese, coleslaw, sweet potatoe souffle, and baked beans. While waiting for our food, our waitress Debbie gave us a sample of their banana pudding. It was so good that we got some to go as well. Our food was good. Brisket was perfect and tender. Ribs were very good, and I liked their sweet sauce on the ribs. Debbie was phenomenal, very friendly, and knowledgeable, she went above and beyond to make sure everything was to our likingth Debbie's recommendation we went for a full slab of ribs with an order of bris

Delicious! I got the pulled pork dinner with fries, baked beans, and coleslaw. It was all so good! Coleslaw was perfect amount of wet and sweet, baked beans were sweet and tasty, and the pulled pork was amazing! I would recommend coming here for a good lunch meal or even dinner!

Have 1/2 hour for lunch. Sick of eating fast food. I called ahead of time placed my order to be ready when i got there at 1:05! Simply put The recommended dish was the beef brisket! I was told “my husband LOVES the brisket-he says it’s the best!” I had pulled pork sandwich (requested extra lean), and onion rings. Omg! This was the best I have had in years. Tiny lil place simple ambiance, clean, and efficiently run! The best! Highly recommend. Can’t wait to try the brisket! Do yourself a flavor and come to this hidden gem!

I was pleased. Perfectly seasoned ribs, chicken, and turkey (its honestly like a brisket and really good). I was so impressed with the kindness of our server too. She said she's a second generation server for the restaurant which shows a lot. The potato salad was dry and the corn wasn't impressive. The sauces were definitely to die for. Decent decoration but nothing to really write home about.

I think it was near closing when we arrived, but we were wet (raining), hungry, and not in the mood for another burger (traveling). We were greeted in a warm and friendly manner. We planned to hurry on decisions but the waitress gave us a good amount of time. Everything was delicious and hot. Our waitress came to check on us several times, refilling our drinks quickly. The portions are large, so we were able to take some home for lunch the next day.

Everything was excellent! Read the reviews and I was happy to find that everything was just as it was reported. Staff was friendly and patient. Laura was wonderful and brought us a sampler plate of sides because it was our first trip. I had my heart set on fried okra but once I tried a bite of the baked beans, I was sold. Best baked beans ever, sweet and seasoned with love and bacon. It paired well with my pulled pork. We arrived an hour before they closed to dine in and found out they were out of ribs so we will be back! The onion rings came full in a basket. They are gigantic so I could only eat one. I recommend sharing them. The coleslaw was too overpowered by mayonnaise but the corn on the cob was good. The hot link was a very mild kielbasa and I would have preferred a chorizo or spicy sausage. Place was clean and staff was pleasant. Can’t wait to go back.

We had good service, and it was right before the 9 pm closing. Very nice waitress and the food was good. Tried the brisket sandwich on toast and mac and cheese. Wings and fries a delicious, but my favorite Monroe's is still on the Westside.

I will start by saying our waitress, Sarah H, always takes VERY GREAT care of us. It is because of Her first and the food second and the family atmosphere thirdly of why we keep coming back. We look forward to coming back. Thanks Much!!!!
