"On Place des Célestins, Monsieur P is well-known to local foodies, particularly for its lunch menu. In the kitchen, Florent Poulard (hence the P), who honed his skills in top houses of the likes of Alain Passard and Guy Savoy, expertly crafts wholesome, forthright dishes that shine the spotlight on local, seasonal ingredients: delicate ravioles of local poultry, foie gras and hyssop or tiger prawns in a succulent jus of shells and heads. Slick, professional service and a knockout wine cellar boasting some 1000 labels." - Michelin Inspector

Amazing food. Started off with an amuse bouche. Onion soup. Knocked it out of the park and the rest of the meal just kept surpassing the previous dish. We did the tasting menu. Have an allergy to shellfish , they were able to substitute the oyster dish for us with an incredible tomato gazpacho. Incredible. Staff was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations on which wines paired nicely with the dishes. Will be coming back to Monsieur P the next time we find ourselves in Lyon.

This is great, upscale restaurant at the heart of Lyon serving up a nice twist on French dishes. Atmosphere is traditional, yet relaxed. Service is very high quality and friendly. Went for a lunch and had tried myself through a few of their dishes. All cooked to perfection. Highly recommend for an extravagant, yet relaxed experience. - Value for money? Yes - Worth a detour? Yes - Best for (occasion)? Classy lunch or dinner - Would I go back? Yes

We loved the food here, and this is a great place. This is the place to go if you want to try the best seafood. We also liked it when the waiters suggested wines. The service is great, and the food tastes great.

Such a great spot for lunch in Lyon! The service was amazing, the wine selection was on point, and the food was absolutely delicious. We had a fantastic time and would definitely come back. Highly recommend checking it out!

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of eating here during our trip in July. Upon arriving we were warmly greeted and shown to our intimate table in a lovely room filled with warm wood tones and carved floor to ceiling mirrors. We both opted for the prix fixe menu. The courses were delicious and beautifully presented. The portions were perfect to satisfy but allow us to enjoy multiple dishes and various exceptional wines that complimented each course. The service was excellent. Our server and sommelier were patient and explained all of the dishes and wine pairings to us. All of the savory and sweet plates were outstanding. Our compliments to the chef and entire staff. We highly and enthusiastically recommend Monsieur P!

Distinctly average with some good dishes, one that was inedible and substandard wine pairing. We enjoyed the onion soup. The oysters could be good but are difficult to eat in the correct proportions. The ravioli was excellent and the only dish with a good wine pairing. The lamb was far too pink for me with fat that was still chewy as it was so underdone. Possibly the most disappointing part was that for every course, one of the waiters would ask how the dish was except for the lamb which I had left most on the plate. If you want feedback, ask your customers during the meal, not in an email afterwards. Extremely expensive for the quality received.

We had our anniversary lunch there, and I took the 7 sequences while my boyfriend took the lunch menu. The really enjoyed my meal, it was tasty but a bit too big for lunch if you are not a very big eater. Service was good, all staff are friendly. Only one thing I think need improvement is the toilet 🚽. It’s a very fancy restaurant but the toilet is not so clean nor have stuff in there which I could use it to clean it for sitting.

Had the privilege to eat at Monsieur P while visiting Lyon, France. What a delightful experience with what seemed to be endless food. We chose the Prix-fixe menu that had 3 starters, seafood dish, meat dish, cheese sampling and two desserts with coffee. I highly recommend the wine pairing for an extra 60 euros. Probably one of the Top 5 meals in my Lifetime. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yelp
We chose Monsieur P to celebrate our wedding anniversary while in Lyon. The meal was first-class in every respect and the finest dining experience we've ever enjoyed. We had the 7-course tasting menu with wine paring. Every dish was perfectly composed, beautifully plated and the flavors were incredible. The dining room was well-appointed, elegant but comfortable. Service was impeccable, friendly and informative (the sommelier was especially terrific, with wine selections that complemented each dish). To cap it off, Chef Poulard came to our table at the end of the meal to wish us a happy anniversary. This restaurant is truly a gem and we look forward to coming back!

Yelp
The food is great . If you are Ann American visitors be prepared to sit in the bar area. There is a lot of foot traffic. The French patrons are seated in the upstairs dining room.

Yelp
The concierge at our hotel suggested this place for a real gastronomic experience in France! The chef is on his way to getting a Micheline Star. Each course hit all the golden spots! It was also the only place in France that we had a great female server!
