Yelp
My experience is more of a 4.5 star, but I'm not about to Yelp-dock a local business I've experienced once. It's also going to read like I disliked the experience, but I truly enjoyed it. I just think there are a lot of small things that could be tweaked to really deliver the experience to make people fall in love and return.
My primary, genuine concern for this place is the location. This spot is hopefully known to those who live here because it is absolutely hidden and in an industrial park. More oddly, the sign for the coffee store is not actually the coffee entrance??? A polite, very loving nudge here from a graphics and marketing person that if you have to put a sign on the door saying this isn't the location and a staff member has to then show you where the place is, to reconsider the out-front signage. Door signage says "next door" but that next door then opens to a space that, if you walk straight, shows you the coffee storage area, not the actual shop. The door you want is the one on the green building (see photo), go through the patio and up the stairs. The sign for that building lists other businesses but that's the most direct way.
Parking also seems unapparent at first, when coming from the main road but there are a couple spots behind the building.
All that out of the way, this is a quirky place serving good coffee and that's the important part. The cold brew is strong and good. I would tell you if you're a cappuccino fan to ask for more foam in the large size. It was really more of a latte, but, again, it tasted really great and I would return. I do really dislike that I can't add my own creamer (it lives behind the counter), nor is there any other choice for this who still enjoy dairy than whole milk. I'd encourage owners to reconsider both.
The space is clearly respecting of a progressive, LGBTQIA+ community which is lovely to see and it appears to be a place where locals of all kinds can sit and relax without judgement or being stood over and told to buy something. Everyone was friendly and gave off a very nice vibe! Love this! Bonus points for the plants and the cute recipes on the wall.
The space is a co-op dedicated to a few other things (a meat area, some syrups, CBD, and some other neat finds) which hopefully adds to its bottom line somehow as it's a large space.
I wish this place the best of luck. It was a nice, local find and I truly hope the locals keep visiting so it can prosper!
