Dwyane Wade on His New Away Collection, His Summer Travels, and Why It's So Damn Hard to Pack His Shoes

"A casino in Monaco where you can not come in. You gotta be James Bond, dressing to come in. So we were definitely turned away. I respect it—those are the rules."

To be honest I don’t understand the hype. It’s beautiful inside but it’s SO small. I appreciate the art exhibits and the architecture and design but it’s very easy to just walk through in ten minutes if you don’t want to gamble. I don’t like that you have to pay $20 euro to go inside the gambling rooms. They should at least comp you back for that to gamble with it.

The Casino de Monte-Carlo is a world famous name for its architecture, opulence and rich history. It's beautiful and luxurious, both inside and outside. Just went to visit the entrance area. It was so crowded that there was no place even to stand. Still enjoyed my visit, it's truly magnificent.

Amazing place. Structure is one of a kind. Definitely an upscale Casino atmosphere unlike any in the US. Parking lot is more of a fashion show for the most expensive, exotic vehicles in the world. Tables start at 25 euros so it’s not as high as many think. We had a great time, arrived there at around 9pm and closed down the casino at 3:30am. No pictures allowed inside the gaming area, drinks are complimentary as long as you’re a club member, recommend you join online in advance so you get the full experience. Most staff speaks English and don’t be surprised to be playing blackjack next to a super billionaire. Oddly, you don’t tip the dealer like in Vegas. Smoking isn’t allowed in the main area, they have a small smoking section on one side of the casino. The cashier will exchange your dollars for chips. No cash is allowed at the tables. You must go to the cashier and exchange your cash for chips to gamble. Slot machines do accept cash. Overall it’s an amazing experience to be there. See the amazing casino, and the exotic car show.

We lost all money, but it was an interesting experience))) It looks beautiful from the outside and luxurious on the inside. You can visit the lobby for free. Entry to the casino itself costs €20 per person. You need to have a passport with you. Even though they state that an ID card is acceptable, ours was not accepted 🤷🏻‍♀️. Inside, there are restaurants and bars. Cocktails start at around €25. With the ticket, you get a €10 voucher that can be used inside. Overall, it’s an interesting place worth visiting if you’re in Monaco.

Didn't go into the gambling area as they have a pretty strict dress code, plus you need your passport as ID, which I didn't have on me at the time. That said, it was fun to see how the other half live - some incredible cars and glamorous people pulling up outside, and you're able to go into the lobby area for a few photos even if you can't/don't want to go into the casino itself (and you can't take photos on there anyway). Went around 9.00pm on a Saturday night, and it was fun to people watch and soak up the atmosphere!

This famous casino has 2 different operational periods each day. If you want to take a tour and take photos, visit between 09:00 and 13:00 (9am - 1pm). If you want to gamble, visit after 14:00 (2pm). In the morning, you can take a self-guided tour with an optional audio guide. I highly recommend this if you want to see the inside when it is quiet. The audio guide provides a rich background about the decor and the past customers. If you are into architecture or history, this is a must-do. The interior is beautiful and highly detailed. It is a bit smaller than many people expect, but still has substance. At 14:00 (2pm) the photos stop and the gambling begins. The dress code is very casual until 19:00 (7pm) after which more formal attire is required. However, do not be intimidated by the opulence, the staff are very friendly and kind. I had a wonderful time here, without even gambling. The casino is worth a visit for it's grandeur and prestige alone.

The Casino of Monte-Carlo is the life of Monaco! I had the honour of visiting this beautiful building during its open hours in the morning. Outside and inside show the beauty, the opulence, the luxury of this magnificent building. The rooms are really beautiful, the architecture transports you back to you the belle-epoch. The rooms are really large, yet I imagined them to be bigger. It was really worth spending the money for the tour, as many tourists pass this beautiful place not knowing you can enter (I for one passed it a numerous amounts of times and only found out you could visit the interior just a month ago!). It is fit for people of all ages, including children. I will come back as soon as I can for another visit of the Casino!

A true Monaco classic and definitely worth a visit. The building itself is stunning, and stepping inside feels like walking into a piece of history. We expected the casino floor to be a bit bigger, but perhaps most of it is tucked away in the private rooms. I sat down at the roulette table and proudly lost 100€ 🤣 and honestly, it was money well spent for the experience. For a moment, it felt like stepping into a James Bond scene, chips on the table, roulette spinning under the chandeliers. It’s not every day you get to play in such an iconic place. Unique, glamorous, and a must-try if you’re in Monaco.
