Montilio's Baking Company & Pizzeria

My son's birthday cake was a hit. I wish I knew who made it specifically so I could personally thank them. Not only did she make it look just like the photo I showed them, but it tasted heavenly. Everyone was talking about how good the cake was. It was moist and flavorful. Perfect.

My daughter’s birthday cakes were delicious! Only 3 pieces were left and some took some to go! We were able to get a custom smash cake for our 1 year old and she absolutely loved the banana filling! The other cake was a marble 2 layer cake with whipped cream willing, it was so good! We had to email back and forth a few times to get all the details secured. Everything was done even better than expected. We were so happy with the cakes and service! Thank you to the Braintree Montilio’s team!

They have nice breakfast sandwiches. Do yourself a favor and just go and order it there or call it in. The online ordering prices are markedly higher than what they would charge you there. If you do order online, they seem to be more familiar with Uber eats. They seemed very confused when I used what they indicated was their preferred method, which was via door dash.

I’ve had the pleasure of trying the double chocolate, chocolate chip, pistachio, and corn muffins. Very moist and delicious inside but the perfect crisp crust. The blueberry ring cake is well priced but I would prefer less brown sugar. The layout of the bakery/cafe is very chaotic walking in and being a first time customer, I felt like there was no flow. I felt like I had to rush past the pastry glass because nothings labeled and a line of customers formed behind me. There’s so many pastries and desserts to choose from, it became overwhelming. I felt the staff weren’t a friendly face but they did perform their basic job duties and what’s required of them.

This has to be the most disappointing review I had to type. Montilio’s is my go to place for a quick bite or lunch. I was so excited to show this place to my friend but this is the breakfast bagel he got. Despite being advertised they “cook fresh eggs” this is quite literally decaying food. Will be going to other locations going forward. Staff wasn’t stellar but this is unacceptable.

Montillios.. consistent... and I like that. Delicious treats. The pizza is on point for my taste. Cheesey and the crust tastes fresh and good!! I really like it. However, I have been blinded by the frosting.... I was wondering why my orders have been like... very pricey. I noticed on my last visit.... That if you don't pay in cash, there is something like a 3.99% service charge. Like.... what??? No, seriously, what?? I kept wondering why I was paying so much for a few small items. The treat struggle is REAL!! Didn't even dawn on me to ask. BRING CASH! Parking available, their staff for me, has been quick and friendly.

Best Cafe we've been to in Massachusetts. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great and the prices can't be beat. I ordered the Hashlette omelette and it was smothered in hollandaise. We absolutely loved our server. She really went the extra mile for everyone in the restaurant. This place is the Newcomb Cafe during the day then changes to Montilio's pizza in the evening. Glad we stopped. Great coffee too. Thank you!

Incredibly delicious cakes,pies and pastries. They have the best pizza around as well. If you grew up in Dorchester and still compare pizza to HiFi, which was the best pizza around back then, then you will love Montilios pizza. The breakfast sandwiches are massive and delicious. Montilios has been my favorite place for a good 25 years now. I order from them regularly, and i had them do my wedding cake years ago. I wouldnt recommend any other bakery.
