A kitchen firing on all cylinders — let down by the front of house. Monti’s delivered one of those meals where dish after dish lands with quiet confidence. Not flashy for the sake of it, just thoughtful cooking, excellent ingredients, and plates that look as good as they taste. The flash-fried calamari set the tone immediately: tender, impeccably crisp, and paired with crispy fried lemon slices that were nearly as addictive as the calamari itself. Salty, citrusy, and bright — the kind of detail that signals a kitchen paying attention. Both burgers were standouts. The grilled lamb burger (gluten-free) arrived precisely medium-rare, juicy and deeply flavored, with creamy feta and cool cucumber tzatziki providing just the right contrast. The sirloin burger, topped with house-made bacon, blue cheese, and salsa verde, struck a similarly deft balance — rich without tipping into excess, the herbs keeping everything lively. The lemon tagliatelle with Dungeness crab was a highlight: silky pasta, generous crab, gentle heat from chilies, and enough lemon to keep the dish vibrant without overwhelming the sweetness of the seafood. This is a plate that disappears faster than you expect. And then there were the skinny fries — crisp, rosemary-flecked, and unapologetically indulgent thanks to the blue cheese. Not an afterthought side, but something you actively compete over. Dessert was a quiet triumph. The lemon olive oil pound cake, moist and fragrant, paired beautifully with honey-roasted grapes that brought warmth and depth, while the vanilla crème fraîche added just enough tang to keep the sweetness in check. Refined, balanced, and deeply satisfying. The wine choice didn’t disappoint either. The Guadagni Family Wines Sauvignon Blanc (Dry Creek Valley, 2024) was fresh and expressive, and the fact that Monti’s offers four Sauvignon Blancs on a compact list is genuinely impressive — a small but telling sign of a wine program run by people who care. Visually, the meal was as strong as the flavors. The photos say it all: clean, composed plates with real attention to presentation, without drifting into pretension. The catch: service. We waited a full 15 minutes before seeing a server and ultimately had to ask the host for help. When our server arrived, the opening line — “I’ll only be your server for the first half of your meal” — came before any apology or welcome. Add being seated at the table closest to the restrooms despite ample availability elsewhere, and the front-of-house experience simply didn’t match the quality of the food. Bottom line: Monti’s kitchen is doing excellent work, and we’ll absolutely return for the food and wine. Next time, though, we’ll be much more assertive about service — because a meal this good deserves a smoother landing.

In my dockers and USMC sweat jacket i felt like i didn’t belong here. I felt uncomfortable. I was by myself, so I got sat at the bar, which is totally fine. I ordered the Montecristo sandwich and a bloody Mary. The bloody Mary was way way too strong and unbalanced so much so that I barely finished half of it as for the Montecristo sandwich? See for yourself in my photos below. They use Gruyère cheese of which I found zero n my sandwich a strange sort of onion jams that was sweet. The brioche bun was not cooked enough, and the jam made the back of the sandwich very soggy and un appetizing. I’ve had several Montecristo sandwiches and I have to say as much as I hate to that this was the worst.. I really don’t like giving bad reviews but I’m not going to lie. Most likely will not go back.

Mediterranean promise, uneven execution Lunch at Monti’s felt like stumbling into a local favorite just as the lunch crowd hit full tilt. The bar was packed, and though we sat there with a good vantage of the room, service fell through the cracks — the bartender seemed overwhelmed by drinks orders and couldn’t quite guide us through the menu. We began with the Tuscan Kale & Quinoa Chop Salad: bright, crisp greens, bracing lemon-vinaigrette, and well-judged feta and capers. It was the highlight of the meal — fresh, balanced, and unmistakably Mediterranean. For mains, we tried the Grilled CAB Flat Iron Steak and the Roasted Salmon. The steak came out cooked decently, but lacked distinction — the mustard-butter and rosemary fries failed to elevate what was otherwise a safe, uninspired choice. The salmon was serviceable, plated with couscous and pomegranate vinaigrette as advertised on the menu — but it never quite asserted itself; the flavors were muted and the presentation forgettable. Monti’s remains charming — its patio, Mediterranean atmosphere, and ambition are evident. Yet today the dining-room bustle and understaffed service compromised the experience, making a promising start unravel slightly by dinner.

Nice food, lively crowd. Lots of hard surfaces so hard to hear when it's full. Food was tasty. Staff did a great job despite clearly being a little understaffed. Good oysters, great baked cheese.

Google
Little picky note/question - Lamb burger, is it lamb only or mixed with some ground beef? It’s good but might not be exactly what the menu is saying🤔 Regardless you can tell from all the other good reviews that this is a solid place everyone loves, so I won't waste time.. Dog friendly. I recommend artichokes and mussels. Great price, great service, and great vibes.

Google
Great food and service! We got the flash fried calamari and the fried lemon slices that came with it was surprisingly good! We also got the lamb burger, beet salad, kale salad and monti cristal sandwich! No complaints here

Google
5-Star Review for Leo at Monti’s I want to share a heartfelt recommendation for our server, Leo, who made our visit to Monti’s yesterday absolutely wonderful. I was out shopping with my daughter and my three-year-old granddaughter, and he truly went above and beyond from the moment we walked in. Leo seated us in an extremely convenient spot for a toddler, and throughout our entire meal he was thoughtful, attentive, and respectful. He read the situation perfectly—he could tell we were trying to chat and were struggling to make decisions on the menu, so he offered suggestions without rushing us or hovering. Even though he had several tables inside, and we were his only table on the patio, he never once forgot about us. His attention and timing were exceptional. I was a little nervous bringing a three-year-old to a nice restaurant, but Leo made the experience so comfortable. He engaged with my granddaughter each time he came outside, which made her feel welcome and made our meal so much easier. I cannot say enough positive things about Leo’s service. He is an excellent communicator, incredibly considerate, and represents Monti’s with true professionalism and warmth. Our experience with him turned what could have been a challenging outing into such a pleasant memory. Highly, highly recommend asking for Leo!

This is a place we go to regularly and it's good. The staff is amazing! They really make the place welcoming. The food is good and the atmosphere is great. Come try it out if you haven't yet. The pasta is amazing, the pizzas are really good as well.

Yelp
I consistently have a great experience when I dine at Monti's- today was no exception. Both the host person and our server were friendly & efficient. I love the new look of the restaurant. If it wasn't so windy today we would have dined on their lovely patio. My friend and I shared the pear pizza- delicious with a nice thin crust. The beet salad was to die for- caramelized beets, avocado & nuts. The prices are a tad on the high side but the quality is always there. I look forward to coming back for the beet salad!

Yelp
I took a large group here and the service and food were excellent. The shared plates were a big hit. The flatbreads and the octopus were exceptional and everything else we tried were very good. Everything was very good including desert. The one exception was the lamb ribs that were just bad. They had a very strong off flavor and I really love Lamb. They promptly removed that dish, took it off the check and offered to replace it with something else. I would definitely return here to dine again and see it as a go to dining experience.

Yelp
The recently reopened Monti's is a great place for Mediterranean cuisine! The menu has a good selection of dishes featuring fresh and seasonal ingredients. My friend and I ordered: - Deviled eggs which were topped with fresh dungeness crab - Lemon tagliatelle with dungeness crab was well balanced with chilies, garlic, parsley, and a lemon zest - Picatta of local black cod, which was nice and tender and flaky, and topped with lemon butter, capers, and fresh dill I enjoyed all of these menu items and would order all of them again in a future visit! I also tried the Pomegranate fizz cocktail. It was a little too alcohol heavy for me even with adding some extra soda water to it too. I think I'll stick with wine during my next visit. Overall, service was really good. Our waitress and the staff were constantly checking in and refilling water throughout. The ambiance is very modern and open, and they did a great job with the remodel. I enjoy how you can see in the kitchen now and how the restaurant is laid out. Plus, they still have plenty of outdoor seating with heaters.

Yelp
We stopped at Monti's for a quick afternoon break before hitting the shops, and I'm thrilled to say I loved the new look and decor--it's fresh and inviting! We started with the mushroom soup of the day, which was deliciously rich. The fries were perfectly crispy, and the Spreads & Bread platter was a delightful assortment of flavors, with the hummus and whipped beet feta being standouts. The sweet & spicy eggplant paired wonderfully with the zaatar bread. To top it off, we couldn't resist the espresso martinis, which were exquisite! The staff were exceptional, providing warm and attentive service throughout our visit. Always ---a fantastic spot for a relaxed bite and drink!

Yelp
Came in on Saturday, November 30th around 6:30 pm without a reservation. The restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. The host was super accommodating (didn't catch her name) and when the party she was helping was taking too long to gather their party, she reminded us that she did not forget about us. Also when we were seated, she asked us if anyone had offered us bread and she went ahead and grabbed some for us. I felt like she went above and beyond other hosts and displayed great service. The restaurant itself was modern like the rest of Montgomery Village. It was cozy and I really appreciated the music was background music and I didn't have to yell to talk with my company. Food was overall good and fresh. This is my order shared with me and one other person: Flash Fried Calamari - great serving size and I felt like it was a lot for two people Tuscan Kale & Quinoa Chop Salad GF - also, great serving size and it could be an entree for one person. The kale was not tough to eat and there was a good portion of the fixings. The dressing could have had a little bit more flavorful but overall it was a good salad. Lemon Tagliatelle - Dungeness crab was a good amount - Sauce could have used more tangy Overall good experience. I would go back to try the cocktails and the other things on the menu.

Yelp
Finally was able to visit Montis after their renovation. We went for dinner and drinks at the bar. It was Saturday around 5:30pm and bar was completely open but by the time we finished up it was completely full. The food was really good especially all the pickled vegetables that came with the lamb burger. A little disappointed with the Pineapple Express cocktail- I didn't taste the pineapple, it just tasted like a spicy margarita. Overall the staff was great and it was super cute inside. I'll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu.

Yelp
I've been coming to Monti's even before their recent renovation and was dying to finally return. Recently went with my family and then another time with my boyfriend. Upon first glance coming back, my eyes were pleasantly stunned by the new decor and the new lighting that transforms the space that used to be dull and dark into something bright, airy, and reminiscent of an East Coast coastal restaurant. Not only did their interior change but they also removed and added items to their menu. I will have to say that the only problem I had with the menu was that they took off the old truffle oil mushroom pizza they used to have that was one of our favorite orders. The new menu, however, didn't leave us hungry as we still found old favorites as well as new items that piqued our curiosity. So far for appetizers, we've all tried the Roasted Beet Salad, Calamari, Charred Octopus, and the Dungeness crab Deviled eggs. Out of all of the options we have ordered, my absolute favorite was the octopus- it was perfectly done and had an incredible seasoning to it that makes my mouth water if I think too long about it. For entrees, we really enjoyed the Short Rib pasta and the pork belly. The short rib pasta honestly blows the pork belly out of the water due to the sauce of the pork being a bit too vinegary and acidic but both are still incredible choices to go for. As for desserts, we've tried the Flourless Chocolate Torte and the Warm Bourbon Cake and both were not necessarily appreciated by our party but they both looked incredible. If you have never tried this place or if you have been and haven't returned yet, I suggest you make reservations as soon as you can because the food tastes much better than it used to and the menu feels better than what it and it's sister restaurants used to fall on with the same seemingly uninspired items.

Yelp
Went to the new Monti's yesterday. Interior is much nicer in person than in photos; relaxed atmosphere, light and bright with a nice view into the kitchen. Outdoor seating is ample but not closed off enough as before which, frankly, was better. Improved menu with greater creativity, very clean restrooms. Good service though value wise you can spend as much as any other Stark's restaurant though you don't have to. "Appetizers" are very large so easily could be entrees as they are enough for four people as appetizers. Lamb ribs were excellent but too much fat not rendered enough. Calamari were crisp and fried in very clean oil but despite that had a more fishy flavor than one would expect. Spreads and Breads are great though bread and whipped butter is complimentary which is nice as that is usually not the case anymore. All the entrees were large portions and all were excellent. Flat Iron steak, Buckwheat pasta dish, Black Cod and the Lemon Tagliatelle dish.

Yelp
I have been coming here for many years, and the staff makes the time here that much more enjoyable; these are just a few of the staff Melissa, Stacy, omg Shane has gone to Willie's Wine bar he's thee sweetest! I see much more staff regularly, and everyone is top-notch! I sometimes stop in after work. for a quick glass of sparkling, maybe some oysters, Pizzas, or delicious Croque Madame Sammy, plus they have the bomb burger. It's fantastic, as well as a short rib rigatoni. The mac & cheese is fire; sometimes you can come here during the summer, and they have free concerts. You could sit outside. Have some wine and food, and enjoy a beautiful sunny day and great music. This is a trendy restaurant in the area, so if you want a sit-down dinner or lunch, make sure you make reservations. They just remodeled the entire restaurant. It looks sort of rustic and modern. I love the new look. So stop in, belly up to the bar, and get a beautiful glass of wine and some appetizers or a full dinner. Either way, I'm sure you will enjoy this excellent restaurant. Cheers to you and SYOY 11/15/24

Yelp
Came in for dinner with my dad after their recent remodel. It looks great, all the upgrades made sense and it upped the vibe. I love elephants, so I love the new large woven elephant decor. For dinner, we shared Terri's little neck clams. My dad Terry loved them ;) I did ask for bread to go with and unfortunately our sever forgot so that threw off the flow. I don't know if she was having an off night or just a busy one, but we did not feel like a priority. We found ourselves having to reach out to passing servers or bussers to get the bread we ordered, another drink, the fries my dad ordered with his burger and hot sauce. She just was not around, we waited, but had to reach out. Just a bummer to wait to eat your food so you can still enjoy a drink with your meal. It was a weeknight and not super busy so not sure what the issue was. However the food was delicious and everyone was very friendly, including our server when she was around. Back to the food, clams good but recommend a side of bread to soak up the yummy garlicky broth. My dad loves their lamb burger and was very happy to see it on the updated menu. It hit all the right notes. Just bummed the fries didn't come out until he was just about done. I had the swordfish and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It went well with the roasted cauliflower. We will be back and hope our server is having an on day.

Yelp
Although they've raised prices a bit, the food and atmosphere at Monti's is worth it for a special occasion.

Yelp
Great salads, spreads and pita. Don't bother with the calamari. Wish they'd had a bit more meat focused entrees. Nice atmosphere and great patio.

Yelp
Excited to come back and have lunch after their temporary closure for remodel. Lunch service was super busy on Saturday, but able to get a table on their patio. Happy they continue to offer their lamb burger, scoured their menu for the truffle fries but that had been discontinued. Update is rosemary, blue cheese fries. Decided on ordering plain fries with spicy aioli and ketchup (completely fine alternative). Tried their lavender lemonade cocktail, tasty and refreshing during the 100° heatwave. A little mix up with the drink order, but the server straightened it out right away. The service was so attentive, you would never know the place was packed. Glad to have this Montgomery Village staple back open!

Yelp
My wife and I love Monti's! We had dinner there tonight and I must say we had a great time! They did an amazing job on the remodel and the setting is perfect! The place looks amazing and the food is better than ever (it was never bad) highly recommend this place! The service was super friendly and very fast! We can not wait to come back!

Janis B.

Yelp
The place buzzes, but the single waiter trying to serve the whole dining room creates an atmosphere of scarcity - scarcity in attentiveness and service. If you like waiting to be served, this is the place for you. The food is ok, the bus boy and hostess work to as much as they can to make up for the waiter's shortcomings, but that is an unachievable goal. If you are fine "waiting," this is the place for you, otherwise find another place. The value for your restaurant dollar comes up short, if good service is part of your evaluation. Sad.

Judith N.

Yelp
Food great and quite reasonable. Service impeccable. Heaters and umbrellas for eating outside with your pet as long as it is well behaved.
google avatar

Belle J.

Yelp
Heard that they will close for a remodel soon and will have a new set of menu and we decided to come here before everything changes. We had calamari, baked mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, and goat cheese spaetzle. The food was good great. I prefer brussel sprouts from other Stark restaurants more (Willi's Wine Bar) but it was still good. Goat cheese spaetzle was good but I wish they put more portabello mushroom. There were only 2 skinny (to be honest, sadly looking too) on it. The service was very fantastic and quick. Our server and another lady (another server but came to help our server) both were very sweet and made sure everything was great for us. We cannot wait to see what this place will look like after the remodel and menu changes! We'll miss the current menu but are also excited about the new Monti's!

Yelp
Started with raw oysters which were delish 50/50 Beauties from Canada and Starburst from local coast Had the grilled octopus appetizer which we split and I had the roasted pork belly All food was as good as usual and service was v good we will go back

Yelp
My wife and I had a wonderful experience here. Our server Tanya was friendly and professional. Calamari: unfortunately over salty, otherwise it would have been great. Lightly battered and fresh squid. They also fried slices of lemon which was interesting. 6/10 Lamb burger: perfectly cooked to medium, the yogurt and pickled red onions helped balanced the heavy lamb. The pickled cucumbers were tasty. 9/10 Short-rib rigatoni: my wife enjoyed it. 9/10 Chocolate cake and ice cream: can't go wrong with chocolate cake and ice cream. The crunchy coffee and caramel covered almonds were a nice addition.10/10 Overall I would recommend trying Monti's if you have never been. The service, ambiance and food are great!

Mike H.

Yelp
For me 65% of any restaurant experience is the quality of the food. Monty's scores big time n that department! Excellent quality and presentation. Where it fell off was in the service and ambiance. Noisy and service got slow, as it often does once the food comes. Slow to the point we bailed in our planned dessert and just decided to pay and get out. It was lunch on a Saturday--fully staffed? We'd go back but not right away.
google avatar

Yelp
Came to Monti's 1st time after the remodel for takeout. The remodel looks great. We ordered the 'short rib agnolotti', 'lemon tagliatelle', 'fried calamari', and mission fig pizza. The first observations are higher prices and smaller portions. The fried calamari, breaded with dipping sauce, was ok, just did not have a taste to say wow. The lemon tagliatelle was excellent. Plenty of crab, fresh pasta, great sauce (lots of red pepper flakes so has some kick to it). The short rib agnolotti is great ( always get it) but the portion was a joke? Check the photo, hardly anything in the box?? WT.... The dish itself is great, the short rib meat is phenomenal! Highly recommend this if they actually gave you what you paid for? The pizza was good, just on the small size. Love the fig n ham combo!

Yelp
This Warm Spinach Salad was fantastic and delicious! I love the outdoor seating. I've never had anything on their menu that I did not like.

Yelp
We visited Monti's last month for my birthday, and the food, service, and drinks were all impeccable. The stars of the show were the lamb ribs, grilled octopus, and the lemon tagliatelle. The lamb ribs fell off the bone and the pomegranate bbq sauce on them was perfectly balanced, and the charred octopus was cooked perfectly and had an incredible spice rub. The cod was also deliciously flaky and seasoned nicely, and the mushroom pizza was good. The fries were good, although not something I would order again. The lemon and crab tagliatelle was delicious, and you could tell the pasta was freshly made. All of the drinks we ordered were well balanced. The service was also so attentive and helpful; I dropped my fork and it was replaced within seconds; my dad had a small crack in his glass and the drink was remade free of charge. These are things that stand out to me as someone with serving experience! The ambience was beautiful, and I would be happy to return again!

Susie D.

Yelp
Food is always great, yet our service was way downgraded from the service before the remodel. We assumed a shortage of staff. we hope that is the case, as we are bringing guests from out of state there in a few days... to be continued

Joejane D.

Yelp
Had lunch here recently, first time since reopening. Wont go back. Warm spinach salad was tasteless, butternut squash soup was given to me cold, tastless. Somple frenchfries.. COLD, they must have sat on the counter until waitress felt like delivering to table. Monte Cristo Sandwhich, soggy. Hamburger, come on now, do better. That fancy new menu and they cant even serve hot food. Waited way to long to have food delivered. Maybe focus on food prep instead of how fancy u are. Wanted to like it, absolutely did not.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch at the newly renovated Monti's. I had black cod piccata as did one of my friends and it was delicious! She also ordered the soup of the day, potato leek, and really enjoyed it. Another friend had butternut squash ravioli, she said she's had better, and the other friend had the burger. They all shared a bottle of Gloria Ferrer sparkling wine and I had the almond drink on the Free Spirits menu. I appreciate the non alcohol options. The service was excellent and the ambiance was great. They did a nice job on the update inside.

Yelp
I ate here a couple weeks ago and the experience was overall quite nice. The decor and lighting was nice, and since we came early it was relatively quiet. The food was pretty good - I got the pasta with the short rib sauce - the meat sauce was actually quite good - rare for many restaurants. Now the downsides - not sure what it is with the ownership group that owns Monti's as well as Starks - do these people have some kind of philosophical or religious objection to cooking meat to the temperature ordered? My guests hamburger was pretty rare - even though was ordered medium. Our experience at Starks in this regard was quite poor - i don't understand. An internal thermometer costs about 20$ on amazon. Someone is gonna get food poisoning from eating meat at these restaurants. Also - the size of the pasta was embarrassingly small. When I mean a small portion - I mean like 6-7 bites of the pasta if I had 2 pieces of the small (think like gnocchi size) per bit. For 28$. I get it - inflation, times are tough etc - but gimme a break man. 28$ for essentially an appetizer. That's not acceptable. I was close to asking the server if I could speak to the manager and asking them if they thought that was a decent portion size. To put in perspective - one package of the double package costco ravioli was a decent bit more volume than the amount of pasta on my plate. And since that is about 7$.....yea. There comes a point where we as consumers need to start pushing back about some of this stuff. No - your restaurant won't be in financial jeopardy if you give an adult sized portion for a 30$ pasta meal. Esp with 21$ glasses of wine and a liquor license. The serving staff was very nice - that was pleasant and I appreciated the way we were treated by the staff. They seem to hire well for the serving staff - our waiter at Starks was very pleasant as well. But ownership seems to really skimp in a few areas. I don't understand the logic of this. When you overcharge to the point where people feel cheated - they don't come back. So instead of coming here a couple times a month - so about 20 times a year round number - that's a few thousand dollars of revenue for your business. But instead- you want to save, what, 50 cents per serving on the pasta? Lets see - 2-3000$ per year from a repeat customer - or saved 2$ by giving a portion the equivalent to an appetizer. And you're making a killing selling alcohol. Bummer. Wish I wanted to come back because the pasta was delicious.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Santa Rosa. Tucked away in Montgomery village with great indoor and outdoor seating options. I normally come here by myself like every other week because I crave the skillet shrimp and their sweater weather cocktail so often. It's DELICIOUS. There is bread underneath the skillet shrimp dish that soaks up all of the amazing, fresh ingredients. Bartenders and staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Today was my first time trying the short rib rigatoni and the ahi tuna tartar and they exceeded my expectations as much as the skillet shrimp dish did. I will continue to be a regular here. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Had to check out Monti's revamped. They did not disappoint. Food was all on point and delicious. The octopus appetizer had to be my favorite. I ordered the swordfish for my main course and it was amazing. So much flavor. My father in law is vegan and they were very accommodating with the hummus plate, beet salad with no cheese and they made a vegan pizza. Service was a little slow, but we weren't rushing and they were pretty busy. A must try for sure. We'll be back.

Yelp
Came here for Valentine's Day for a nice dinner, and we were not disappointed! We sat outside under the heat lamp since thats what we were able to reserve. The calamari was delicious and we were delighted with the huge portion. The macaroni and cheese is my favorite! It pairs nicely with the Brussels sprouts. Our server was very polite and checked in frequently.

Yelp
Unbelievable dining experience celebrating a special birthday! The pasta, calamari, salads and drinks were wonderful . The grilled octopus was the best I've had since Santorini! Perfectly charred, fava beans and sauce were delicious !! Service was impeccable including a bday serenade! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Service poor, had to ask for certain things three times. The person that brought our food gave us the wrong plates. When we mentioned it she shrugged and said well that's what I was told. Food was mediocre. Way too expensive $10 for rosemary- blue cheese fries which tasted neither rosemary nor blue cheese. Called several days prior to make a reservation and it was not on the books so we were regulated to the outside patio, which was pleasant. Overall disappointed.

Yelp
Love, love love the new decor and feel of the remodeled Monti's !Glad they are back and have designed the space to have better sound absorption. Enjoyed the new additions to the menu particularly the bread and dips. Great place to meet friends and clients. Staff friendly and courteous as always!

Yelp
Warm and comfortable atmosphere. Great selection of food. A mix of Italian and Mediterranean food that is both delicious and healthy. Vegetarian friendly. I was able to order so much food for my vegetarian family to enjoy and share. Wait stafff is accommodating and attentive. I would highly recommend

Yelp
Ordered the new swordfish item. I was suprised to see that the fish was covered with a pesto sauce. ( Coming from the East coast, I am so used to having it plainly broiled or baked with butter and a lemon provided. ) Nothing against pesto but I thought that it took away from the taste of the fish. Under the salmon, there were cauliflower florets sitting in a red sauce. I know now for future reference. The restaurant was updated nicely and it appeared that soundproofing was added.

Yelp
Made a reservation for my group of 10 a week in advanced on a Saturday at 7:30pm. We arrived at 7pm and were able to be seated early. We had a table outside under a heat lamp. Our server, Tanya was very friendly and funny. She made us feel very welcomed. We ordered a bunch of beers, hard liquor, cocktails, appetizers and mains to share. We were celebrating a friend's birthday. The food was good, but not as great as we remembered and we had more alcohol this time. It was the same group I was with 2 years ago when we first dined in. Still, the service was amazing and we all enjoyed our meal. We wanted to try their other sister restaurants in the area but none could accommodate our large group.

Yelp
Food and cocktails here are excellent! Everything came out quick, the staff was attentive and polite. The restaurant is in a shopping center but it was quiet and peaceful. We sat in the patio and a few folks with dogs were allowed to dine outside which was very nice! Lamb burger was one of the best I've had and I really enjoyed the deviled eggs.

Yelp
We are happy to see Monti's is back as we live nearby and it has long been a favorite. However, we will not be visiting nearly as often with the new prices. I understand restaurants are having a difficult time but so are patrons. Luckily I'm a good cook but, unfortunately, we will be staying home more than we used to if this is the future of dining.

Yelp
We had dinner at Montis the other night. The new decor is beautiful, the service great and the food very good. I have 2 complaints though. 1) The limited menu needs to be expanded. We were going to order the pasta with short ribs and they were out of it. My friend doesn't care for seafood, and has had the hamburger previously and didn't want it again. She has previously had the buckwheat pasta and didn't care for it. She didn't want a pizza, so was left with the roasted chicken. I had the salmon and it was excellent. There are just not enough choices. 2) The wines by the glass are just too expensive. A 9 oz pour of the Sauvignon blanc was $21. That is just too much.

Yelp
Finally reopened. New interior design OK. Lacks warmth." Food was excellent. Service was great. They have a new female Manager who is courteous, friendly and professional. I had the Seared Tuna and it was excellent. I will miss the Petrale Sole, but I guess we all have to compromise. I hope they do well. We will return.

Yelp
Perfect everything. Someone told these people, "hey, what do diners want?" And they did that. Service and all of it...very good. I sure wish I could find fault, but....nope.

Yelp
The price increases have made dining there nearly impossible. Even a cocktail & fries will run $30. 'Wish there was a happy hour.

Yelp
The food was delicious! I had requested a quiet table off to the side, we were offered a nice table by the kitchen, not exactly what we wanted. My partner asked for the more private booth in the corner which at first we were denied however the house manager led us to the booth and the experience changed from nice to wonderful. The service was on point. We will definitely return and try not to be so picky. lol! Sometimes it's really appreciated. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

Yelp
This is for Damien. It is always such a pleasure when we are lucky enough to have Damien as our Server. Even when it is busy, he takes his time to ensure we are comfortable and have everything we want. I like sliced lemon with my water, and sometimes our table asks for food and beverage in a picky way, and he is so understanding and somehow makes us feel as though we are special and delightful even. We always leave and remember days including much later what a great individual he is on top of a high-class Server that could make even the finest of dining spots stand out.

Yelp
We go to Monti's often. They have a nice patio in Montgomery Village to sit outside. Inside is also very nicely decorated and there's a nice common table by the bar. Food and drinks are tasty. They have a delicious arugula salad (get the dressing on the side). Muscles are tasty too. My husband always gets the lamb burger. I also like their non-alcoholic pineapple shrub drink. Kids menu has a reliably good pizza or chicken tenders. Only knock are for the prices. A party of 3 is usually $100. Tough to do that often when that doesn't usually include leftovers. Only
