Pearl Pride Party - Review - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"There might not be an official Pride parade this year, but that doesn’t mean the party isn’t happening in Weho this weekend. If you’re looking to dance, serve looks, and get a little wild, snag a ticket to the Pearl Pride Party at Montrose West Hollywood rooftop this Sunday, June 27th. It runs from 1-8pm, so bring your best poolside kaftans and big floppy hats. Tickets start at $30 for GA and go up to $125 if you reserve a cabana. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Marix Review - West Hollywood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Ho-hum. Another crowded, decent restaurant in West Hollywood. Amazing how in a neighborhood so notorious for high restaurant turnover rates, such a plethora of wildly mediocre ones reign supreme. Let’s talk about what works first. The space at Marix is actually very nice. You’re never quite sure if you’re sitting indoors or outdoors, and that’s appealing. The service is extremely diligent, particularly given how difficult (read: drunk) a crowd they deal with on a daily basis. Oh, and those famously strong margaritas? Pretty damn good on a Saturday afternoon. But unfortunately, that’s where the good times end. As much as we want the food to be great here, it’s just not. You’ll see “Tex-Mex” plastered all over their signage but we have a hunch that’s just because they wanted to sound different. The menu reads like a catered college graduation party in Cheviot Hills. Fajitas, burritos, tacos, and every other type of Mexican food Aunt Carol from Toledo will recognize. Even jalapeno poppers join the party for those still clinging to their undergrad taste palettes. The vibe at Marix teeters uneasily between laid-back neighborhood oasis and a Bryan Singer after party. Which is fine for Marix, because however run-of-the-mill the menu is, the neighborhood absolutely adores this place. And that’s certainly no easy task. At Marix, food is an afterthought but come for the margaritas and the atmosphere and we can’t help assume you’ll be walking out happy. Everybody else seems to be." - Brant Cox

Montrose at Beverly Hills (Los Angeles Area, California) 7 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"It simply shouldn’t be possible for some of the world’s most storied nightlife to exist just a couple of blocks from a genuinely quiet neighborhood, but West Hollywood is proof that it can happen — and the Montrose West Hollywood, tucked into a residential street three blocks south of the Sunset Strip, makes the most of this contrast. It’s an all-suite, residential-style hotel, and while its recent interior-design makeover leaves it looking stylish, it’s not a 24/7 nightspot like some boutique hotels. (And with bars and nightclubs like Rage and the Viper Room a few blocks away, it certainly doesn’t need to be.)" - Tablet Hotels

I stayed at The Montrose Beverly Hills recently with my friend for her milestone birthday. I usually stay in big chain hotels because I know what to expect from it, but I’m really glad I didn’t make that same decision in this instance! The Montrose is a gorgeous hotel with a uniquely contemporary design. The location is perfect. It’s in a quiet tree-laden neighborhood, yet it’s just a few-minutes walk to Santa Monica Boulevard! We enjoyed the free coffee hour in the morning and the free wine hour in the evening. The rooftop pool is absolutely breathtaking. We took in phenomenal views all the way to Downtown Los Angeles while we lounged. What makes this great hotel absolutely fantastic is the staff. Everyone is so friendly. Ebony is a superstar! She made our check-in process so easy. Any concern or question that we had, she took care of right away. There was a small issue with our first room, Ebony quickly got us into another beautiful room and she made the transfer process seamless. She was so kind throughout our stay and greeted us with a bright smile and wave every time we passed the reception desk. Ebony went above and beyond to give us a magnificent experience and we really appreciate her!

I recently stayed at the Montrose at Beverly Hills and had a wonderful experience overall. Tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat while still being close to great local spots and cafes. We booked a one-bedroom suite, which had an excellent layout—especially for our group of three. The space was well-designed and comfortable, offering privacy and plenty of room to relax. The rooftop pool and bar were definite highlights. With beautiful views and a relaxed vibe, it was the perfect place to unwind. The hotel also offers complimentary coffee and drinks from 5–6 pm, which was a nice touch. Service throughout our stay was consistently friendly and helpful—they even stored our bags after checkout. A couple of downsides: the air conditioning in our suite wasn’t working during our stay, and the bedroom lighting was quite minimal, which made the space feel a bit dim at night. That said, these issues didn’t take away from the overall positive experience. Another perk was the location—there are fantastic cafes just a short walk away, including Dialog, Drip, Dolce, and Bravo Toast. Would I stay again? Absolutely. The Montrose offers great value, a stylish setting, and a low-key luxury experience in one of LA’s most desirable neighborhoods.

I can’t say enough great things about The Montrose Beverly Hills! The whole vibe of the hotel was just perfect—stylish, comfortable, and so welcoming. The décor is beautiful, with such a cool, modern feel that still feels warm and relaxing. Our room was spotless, cozy, and tastefully decorated—just what we wanted for a quick getaway.||What really made our stay unforgettable was the staff. Every single person we met was so friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. Special thanks to Delsa, Edgar, David, Odie, Efrin, Ebony, and Maria—they went above and beyond to make our one-night birthday celebration feel truly special.||The cost was very reasonable for the quality and service we received. We highly recommend The Montrose Beverly Hills and will definitely be staying again whenever we’re back in LA!

Google
Very nice boutique hotel. Although pricey, you don’t break the bank. There’s an awesome tennis/pickleball court in the roof, along with a pool and full bar. The rooms are unique, stylish and comfortable as well. It’s near all the major attractions of West Hollywood, but tucked away into a quiet neighbourhood so you can still relax.

The service at this gem is top notch. Dante at Happy Hour gave us several great dining recommendations and could not have been more pleasant, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in helping us have a great time during our stay. Extremely personable and fun. What a wonderful ambassador he is! We will|definitely be back to the Montreal the next time we come to LA. Thank you!

Google
When we visited in May/June of this year, we found our room to be clean, very spacious and it had everything we needed/expect from a hotel room. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and professional. The location of the hotel for us, was absolutely perfect; within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go! The highlight for us was the Fitness Centre. It was spacious and had all the machines/equipment you could ask for. If we visit Los Angeles again, we will definitely be returning to Montrose at Beverly Hills!

Yelp
I had a wonderful stay at the Montrose. I typically stay with friends in Los Angeles, but decided to treat myself when travel plans were changed. The front desk was very accommodating, and gave me a complimentary suite upgrade and glass of wine because I had had a very awful day. Hector was my bellstaff, and he was very attentive to my bags and even assured me I was going to love that room. The space is beautiful. I do know that hotels have complimentary upgrades when suites are rarely booked, but this space was undoubtedly beautiful. There was a gorgeous view from the balcony, a spacious bed with an enormous television, interesting statement furniture, a reading nook and a fireplace! It did not have a bathtub, and the kitchen is humble but fully equipped. I did fall prey to the room service and plentiful snacks in the room, and the egg sandwich for brunch (which goes until 12!) was delicious. The view from the pool is magnificent, and as others have noted here there is no hot tub. I still enjoyed swimming a few short laps and getting some sun before starting my day. The front desk was very patient about late checkout (I do not know if this is specific to the room), it was complimentary until 1pm. I ended up being able to stay an additional night at the same rate. The valet parking is costly as folks note, but there is literally no street parking nearby that I could find. Also, I had an incredible amount of things in my car after traveling for a while, and they took everything up (before I had repacked - yikes) and down (same amount of stuff, reorganized) efficiently. Overall, because of the upgrade and quality of service from room service, the front desk, and the bell staff, I am giving this five stars. Thank you for a great stay, and the vibe shift! It was much needed.

Yelp
Stayed here for my birthday last October and I loved how spacious the rooms were. The rooftop/pool area is also a whole vibe. Room service at night was extremely slow and had to call multiple times. The morning was much better and the food was great.

Yelp
This place is nothing short of a disaster! Frequent visits from the police, fire department, and occasionally the SWAT team. Currently , To keep their power on they are using a monster generator that's off-gassing and poisoning the neighborhood. Stay here only if you have a death wish or want a cancer diagnosis. It's a true hellhole.

Derek

Yelp
Avoid, loud generator outside rooms, breathing in toxic diesel exhaust, power outages.

Yelp
4th star for the great customer service. Place is a little dated, the pool is the size of a large hot tub. There was no hot tub, which I would have loved after a day at the Getty. But they do have a rooftop tennis court... Cool music themed art everywhere and great location for the Peterson Automotive museum and WeHo dining. Parking is $65 a night, valet only, but they were kind enough to charge our car at no additional cost. Complimentary wine hour in the evening and coffee in the morning. One other oddity is that apparently some people live there full time. They were very friendly and gave us some great dining tips!

Yelp
It's been almost 8 years since I last stayed here. In fact, so long that I didn't even realize that I had ever stayed here until coming to Yelp to write a review! Although so much time has passed since then, overall I would say my experience was pretty much the same as last. This hotel is a bit bare bones but overall cozy and convenient. They offer complimentary wine daily from 5-6pm, unlimited coffee in the morning and they also have a little convenient cafe adjacent to the lobby where you can grab beverages, snacks or order a more advanced coffee drink from the barista. My room had a cute little fireplace which was novel and I found the room to be clean and comfortable. The surrounding neighborhood is absolutely gorgeous it's just a short walk from the heart of West Hollywood. Overall, this isn't really a hotel with a lot of "wow" factor but it's a great deal for the location.

Yelp
This is my new home away from home in Los Angeles. I have never quite found a place that I would want to return to. Montrose is absolutely a winner. It's the most LA feel with the biggest suites and the best staff!

Yelp
While the location and the property are excellent, the management could do a better job at maintaining the rooms and hallways. For the price they charge, this is the least they could do. We did enjoy our stay here. We booked this place through Costco and that saved us from paying the resort fee and overnight parking charges ($65 a night).

Yelp
where do I begin... I arrived to the hotel to do a friends hair.. the valet saw me trying to get my bags out of the trunk and never asked to help me with my bags or offer a dolly.. even though I was the only guest there in that moment .. I finally had to ask them for a Dolly... and still they didn't help me with my bags until I dropped something and they finally came over. That was wild to me. Then my friend called the front desk to order a vegetarian option of food.. and pretty much the only options were Chips and guac or a house salad.. that's wild that was the only options! we picked the chips and guac, 3 hard boiled eggs and an orange juice.. which came to $55... insanity.... especially because it came as a plate of gross hard chips and less than a tablespoon of guac.. a tablespoon of salsa and a tablespoon of some other random red sauce.. that's not an exaggeration...it was literally a tablespoon if it was ever that much.. plain dish of 3 hard boiled eggs and a cup of orange juice.. for $55! Then we tried to call down to the front desk (Ebony and Maria) to get a bellhop to bring a dolly and help with my bags to my car... and the front desk woman must have forgotten to call for them.. even though there was no one else needing to be helped that I could see. We waited for about 15 minutes and then had to call down again to remind them we were waiting for a bellhop. When the bellhop got there still didn't help with our bags.. we had to load the dolly.. and he then brought it down the hall to the front door. I then loaded my car myself. Then they charged the room $45 for parking even though the bellhop who is also the valet wrote $30 on my valet ticket. Then when my friend tried to address the charge to her room.. they couldn't even honor the $30 cost and accommodate her. There was literally zero care or accommodation or hospitality at this hotel. Amd to top it off the room was noisy as you could hear other guests in other rooms and the room itself was outdated and old and not a very calming relaxing hospitable experience. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel.. go elsewhere!

Yelp
Pretentious, poor service, rude patrons at the bar. We showed up during rush hour on a Sunday and the front desk employee was on a break with nobody to cover. We were told to go get a drink at the bar for half an hour and wait. The bar was mobbed with rude patrons who wouldn't allow space for me to walk up to the bar to order a drink. I'd give it three thumbs down if I had a third hand. Also, ridiculously overpriced, tons of hidden fees that added up to almost as much as the room bill. Just don't go to the Montrose!

Yelp
We stayed here while on a recent weekend trip to LA. This cute boutique hotel is a great alternative to the stereotypical chain hotels, the rooms are spacious and have a non-trivial design choice to them. I loved the location too - it is in a quiet, safe and beautiful part of West Hollywood, away from the tourist traps of LA, but close enough to most of the locations you might want to visit, so that it makes for a more pleasant driving/ubering experience. There are a few breakfast and in-suite dining options, as well as a kitchenette inside the room. Also, the barista is the friendliest I've experienced in a long, long time. The staff at the reception and the valet parking were super helpful and seemed content, which often makes or breaks the experience they can/want to create for the guests. The couple of things that I would've loved to be different are: 1/ somewhat thinner than expected walls (I could clearly hear our neighbors' TV - could be the function of the volume level though...), 2/ our room on the second floor was right above the entrance to the garage, so every time it would open/close, we could hear that too. Both of these did not bother us much as no one in this family has problems with sleep but I could see how this could be a bit more challenging for a light sleeper. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and we will consider this place for future visits to LA for sure. Stay tip: Valet parking only. Ask for a room on a higher floor to minimize the street/garage noise

Yelp
This hotel is amazing! The room is perfect and the staff is so kind. Amber, Franco & Dora are the beautiful people here I have met are so kind and I will only stay here going forward.

Yelp
This hotel is a hidden jewel. As others have noted the staff is incredible. Carla and Odie at the front desk were so kind to us during our long-ish stay due to fire evacuations. Rooms are well laid out, spacious, and reasonable. IAH the food is just OK but I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat and will recommend to business associates visiting LA for great accommodations, reasonable pricing, central location and an all around great experience.

Yelp
We stayed one night to celebrate a special occasion. The Montrose is a boutique hotel with limited staff but they do the job. It's ideal for guests who don't need a lot and just want to sleep somewhere quiet but close enough to walk to some action. It's located minutes away from the heart of We Ho. The pool on the roof is enjoyable albeit small. It is more of a sip and dip pool than a swimming pool. They do have comfortable lounge furniture so on a sunny day, it is ideal for a nap before heading out for the evening. The rooms are comfortable and clean and I love the body lotion and shower gel. Parking is expensive $50+ per night so find street parking if you want to save some cash.

Yelp
Stayed here for my daughter's college graduation nearby. We were seeing the midnight movie show at Tarantino's New Beverly Cinema just a couple of miles away and this was a fantastic, central location and home base. We had 4 rooms in our party - each room was very clean, well appointed and had a lot of character. The "hand chair" was the overall favorite. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and nice. No smells at all in our room and the bed was super comfy. The 3 other rooms staying in our party all said the same thing and we all were well rested in the morning. And, amazingly, they put us all in 4 contiguous rooms - super convenient! Overall a very nice place to stay in a killer location - highly recommended based on our experience!

Yelp
Had a wonderful time at this boutique hotel in West Hollywood with a beautifully decorated roof top pool /bar. Liked that it is a smaller venue with the best service at both the roof top bar and check/in and out. Oddie was super sweet and helpful. Our suite had a little kitchenette which was helpful, as well as a little outdoor patio that we got some sun in this morning. The area only allows for residential permit parking after 7, so you are kinda stuck using the valet. The valet service is super quick. The limited food and drinks were tasty, (fries and Caesar salad) and the pours on alcohol were large but watch out cuz the drinks are expensive, $30. I thought worth it but then that's easy for ME to say as we were using my bf's credit card lol....

Teresa T.

Yelp
This is a really cute hotel with some of the kindest staff ever! The front desk and valet staff are true standouts. I really liked the rooftop pool and tennis/pickleball area. Will definitely come back!

Cass D.

Yelp
I recently stayed there for a night on a trip to LA. The service was efficient and very friendly. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious and well appointed. The decor was modern with a slight showbiz edge to it. If you are considering staying on the west side of town this is an ideal location. The big surprise was the delicious food and cocktails in the tiny restaurant. Not a huge menu, but fresh ingredients made up for that. Not having to leave the hotel for a good meal is a big plus. Our stay was a bit pricey, but it's LA and the location is almost perfect.

Yelp
So this is our second stay at The Montrose. My husband wanted to go back because he'd enjoyed it the first time, so I said I'd try again. A few things: there is no info on where the restaurant is. We went to the rooftop walking around trying to find it before finally realizing it was Tone on the first floor. $18 for bad Oatmeal (oat soup more like) isn't great. Neither is $3 apiece for bacon. Ripoff. The parking is $65/night. Another ripoff. The room we were in was on an incline that made it higher on one end then angled down to the door. Fix your foundation. The toilet paper roll holder is in a spot where you can't actually put a roll on. These are all minor issues, but annoying nonetheless. Which brings us to our final night: On Saturday night, there was what sounded like a party going on in the hall on the first floor. We were in room 113 and while trying to sleep, people were outside laughing and talking at the top of their lungs. As partying is not allowed, it's not clear why no staff came by to tell them to shut the heck up. Oh, and then we paid $35 a day for an amenities fee? Like wtf is that even? It was explained anywhere. So I guess that means using the show, internet, electricity and bedding is all extra? Total scam. I'd really like an answer as to what we were paying for. At just under $1000 total for 2 nights, I can't recommend this spot at all.

Yelp
After three nights at Montrose, I felt like a local! The room was spacious and comfortable with an excellent bed that you will not want to leave! I loved relaxing at the rooftop pool and bar and plenty of umbrellas for those loud sunny LA days. The rooftop features a great bar too. The hotel is the perfect location to walk almost anywhere in WeHo, and I easily walked to/from the nightlife scene each evening. Service was on point the entire time and loved the hospitality. I would go back!

Yelp
We've stayed at the Montrose several times. It's ideally located for quick/reasonable access to a variety of nearby points of interest. Each of our stays has been ideal; the rooms are clean & spacious, outstanding desk, valet and room services have been experienced by my family and me. This last trip, on New Year's Eve no less underscored the Montrose's seeming commitment to excellence. We were greeted at check-in by Amber. Amber was attentive, detail oriented and also ensured excellent care of some extended property that the Wifey & I were concerned about, with the additional blessing of Montrose management. I can honestly say this place comes across as a well-oiled machine and I encourage anyone coming to the area to give this fine, comfortable hotel a chance to serve you.

Yelp
The hotel room was very nice and large. I only stayed one night and picked this spot because it was in walking distance to the venue I needed to go to. I can't speak about things like room service or cleaning, but the room was clean and ready for me when I arrived. The shower was great. There was a balcony with a good view and a pool on the roof with an even better view. I got some work done in the dining area and the staff was nice and accommodating. It's also in walking distance to a store, so that's helpful.

Yelp
This hotel could not have been better. Room was spacious and comfortable! Staff was exemplary from valet, front desk, house keeping, to bar. Everyone was very friendly and helpful!
google avatar

Yelp
We've stayed at several WeHo properties and enjoyed the Montrose. Room and bathroom were spacious and staff was great. I deducted one star because the valet glued the ticket to the inside of the windshield, ask them not to do this. I spent 20 minutes scraping off the residual glue! I have never seen this done before.

Yelp
Nice intimate hotel, friendly staff, budget friendly (for Beverly Hills anyway lol) and close to everything!

A favorite for whenever I'm in West Hollywood. Eclectic decor, friendly staff, & spacious rooms. Highly recommend

Yelp
Lobby is cute, but dont buy into that fake facade We were in LA to see a band three blocks away, so perfect location. Our friends had made a reservation and we also decided to spend the night. The front office agent quoted me a rate nearly 150 more than what our friends were paying. I was told that was the lowest available, "even online" she stated. Shame on me for believing her. When I finally got wifi connection in my room, I decided to check the Expedia rate, and of course the lower rate was readily available. I felt scammed, lied to and ripped off. When I complained, the agents response was "sorry, I cant do anything" To add to the misery, our room smelled musty and damp and reeked of cannabis. Later that night, our bed and pillows smelled like disgusting dog piss. So disgusting. Yep, the hotel is per friendly. I welcome contact from the manager, but I doubt that will happen. He/she is probably overwhelmed dealing with other complaints. Too many quality options in the area to waste money on this pig with lipstick

Yelp
Great location just a few blocks from Santa Monica Blvd so walking distance to the center of West Hollywood. The staff is all great, very nice accommodating and friendly but the building itself is one of those weird Hollywood repurposed apartment buildings so it's kinda aging and there are weird smells in the building especially the hallways. It's also not very soundproof so you can hear other people in the hallways and movement upstairs. They put great art and furnishings in the room but my room had this weird bench at the foot of the bed with sharp angular edges on the legs that I kept hitting with my shins, ouch! They need to move that out of the way (room 214). This was my second time and I'm thinking next time I'll try somewhere else.
google avatar

Cesar S.

Yelp
The attendees at the front desk were marvelous. However, my problem started at the Wine Hour. The bartender was very disrespectful with certain guests and it was extremely noticeable. He would accommodate "certain" guests over others and was overall uninviting as a Montrose employee who should be inviting and hospitable to all.

Brittany W.

Yelp
Staff were really nice- that is the only reason for the 2 stars. Room looks just like the photos no problem there....However I must warn you that, the rooms smell HORRIBLE; they state it is non smoking but there are definitely smokers in that building. 2k for three days in a room that smelled like a thrift store. Smh

Yelp
Stayed here for our first road trip with baby. The room setup was great for what we needed. Enjoyed having the suite space with the pullout couch as well for the night my mom stayed with us to watch baby. PROS - friendly staff, very accommodating - food was good from restaurant - fridge in room - comfy bed - dark room for baby to sleep - size of room CONS - $60 valet parking each night - woof - could hear guests above us walking around - wish room had bathtub, was hard to wash baby in tiny sink

Yelp
Y'all. Let me tell you how I was shitting bricks after I paid a pretty penny for 3 nights here THEN read the yelp reviews. Lol. I was slowly dying. So here's my super in dept review. The deposit- it was different on every site I looked at. My final deposit ending up being $150 a night which wasn't horrible, I was prepared for that. Valet- I didn't even try to tackle the $45-50 a night so I just Uber. Weed- it definitely smelled like weed AS SOON AS I walked up on the property, but it's Cali. Who's not getting blowed! I was! Lol I didn't have any problems at all with the staff. So friendly. So accommodating. So prompt. I didn't have to wait for towels, turn down service, or anything. No waits on crediting my deposit back. Nothing. It was seriously smooth sailing. The decor is sooo swanky and I was in love with my room. It was so spacious. The only thing I didn't like, was the closet is super small and the fan in the bathroom never goes off, and it was a bit too dim for me to do my makeup and the fireplace only puts out a very small flame. Overall, I loved the hotel. It was tucked away in a super nice neighborhood and I felt safe enough to walk around by myself at night. And it was close to soooo many things, one really didn't need to leave the area. I'll definitely stay again.

Yelp
5 stars all the way! The staff here is class all the way! From the time I parked, to check in, and throughout my stay - everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I've travelled a lot for work and have stayed in many hotels through the country but this was one of my favorites. The suite room was clean and very stylish. I loved the step down into the living room. It's fully equipped with a large screen TVs, fireplace, and kitchenette. The kitchenette has a glass cooktop, microwave, keurig and fridge. It seriously felt like home. I was on the eastside of the building so had a nice balcony view of dtla, and the sunset hills. Make sure to reserve your pool cabana for a delicious brunch and drinks. Although they do have some first come first serve seating, the cabana is the way to go! Overall my staycation was well worth it. I will definitely go back and recommend the Montrose to friends that come to town.

Yelp
This hotel holds a special place in my heart. More than a decade ago, I worked at their front desk as an agent and night auditor, when it was called Le Montrose, but sadly had to leave due to my own inability, at that time, to arrive at work on time. I was genuinely broken hearted because I loved the job and loved the people working there. Fast forward over a decade since then, I've left the hospitality industry altogether and work from home, I had the chance to pay a nostalgic re-visit to the newly redesigned Montrose as a few days add on to a business conference I was attending in San Diego just prior. The opportunity presented itself to pop up to LA for a nostalgic tour of the town after having been for 5 years. First place I thought of staying was Montrose. Lemme tell ya...it did NOT disappoint. Every reason and feeling I initially developed for vibing with this hotel in the WeHo Hills was rekindled and then some. The neighborhood and the hotel partner together to keep the surroundings quiet and serene, so let me make it clear before I continue...this is NOT a "party" establishment. It is quiet, easy going, and respectful of each other's peace yet engaging and approachable. Those considering, please know and respect that before booking a stay. To all my fellow queer travelers out there, WeHo destination travelers, and queer friendly Ally's, my gift to you. Bookmark this review and keep this spot on your list. It is very LGBTQIA ‍ ‍ friendly. Consider this a welcoming safe space. Contact the hotel directly to inquire, or check the trades, booking sites, and misterb&b.com for rates and accommodation deals, dates, and rates. To all my fellow Black / minority travelers, same deal. Bring the kindness and good vibes only and you will be met with some love!! This is a spot you can breathe and relax in. Just bring swimwear for the rooftop pool during the daytime, and a sweater or hoodie for nighttime...the view from up there is POPPIN!! Panoramic view of everything, from Downtown LA to Century City and the WeHo Hills behind and above you, Hotel is nestled in the hill south of Sunset Blvd, several blocks north of Santa Monica Blvd. We didn't even bother leaving the hotel to try and get into space to watch the fireworks. We watch multiple simultaneous displays happen between Downtown and Century City, Mid Wilshire, all at once right from the rooftop pool with wine glasses in hand. The Suite - We stayed in one of their King Suites and had a secluded little patio, sliding glass door and window shutters, with a full view of the street. Came with a full kitchen and mini fridge, dining area and table, fireplace, L-shaped couch, side tables and coffee table, daily replenish-able coffee set up, Keurig machine, 70's inspired gold liquor cart, 2 large flat screen mounted 60 inch plasma screen tv's in the livingroom and bedroom areas, chromecast and streaming equipped on both. Full king size bed, ample storage, closets, cupboards, and drawers for luggage, full walk in bathroom and I mean a full separated room. Full walk-in shower, sink for two, full closet for clothes storage in the bathroom, and another room separating the toilet from the rest of the bathroom. Each room is separated by a stylish sliding barn door design. Towels and malin + goetz toiletries replenished daily and upon request. The entire room was adorned with modern art selections representing the LA and West Hollywood vibe, feel, and culture. The walk-in shower had an Instagrammable wall backdrop, and OF COURSE that got a few snapshots in front of it. Ordering in the area - all the apps will deliver, and they have in-room and poolside dining, market for smaller items across from the front desk, and dining in the lobby floor lounge available, check or call for their hours. The Staff - were a major reason this nostalgic stay was so magical and meaningful for me. I'm now back in NYC, but writing this post with much gratitude! The staff was so lovely to us!! Kind, engaging, fun, and approachable. Multicultural, Hollywood chic, LGBTQIA friendly and "family", nice, real people. Having already worked on staff before, I have a genuine respect for their hard work, but returning here as a guest allowed me to experience Montrose from a whole different perspective. Our every need was met with affirmation, no stress, no combative energy, or haggling, just the most easy going and caring vibe. Had real human and fun moments with these people. Special thank you's to Odalisa (Ody), Scott, and the rest of the front desk team, David, Arturo and the rest of his Valet team, Dante and the rest of them Service teams in the lounge and poolside, your efforts and kindness made this re-visit incredibly special. I'm writing this a little misty and with so much respect and gratitude to you all. Damn well fell in love with this place all over again and you'all were part of the reason why. Sincerely, much gratitude, and with much respect back....Thank you all!

Yelp
Sure, there are the community pools where you can go swimming. The YMCA and even the ocean. Though, that water is a little chilly for our blood! While more and more places are beginning to open up in California, we still can't find that many community pools open right now. Even if they were, we'd still recommend checking out Resort Pass, which allows you to browse nearby pools, spas and other facilities near your home to enjoy for the day. It's available in many major cities across the country and even around the world. There were dozens of options in West Hollywood, but the boutique Montrose Hotel seemed like the perfect option for our family. First, children up to 15 years old are free and adults are $25 per person. The rooftop is gorgeous and even had a bar with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Many hotels will list whether they're kid friendly or not (often designating if they're a 21+ pool only). Some offer poolside dining service (typically with a minimum dollar amount), cabana seating and other amenities like access to the hotel's gym. For our family, we were simply looking for a place to swim that wouldn't kick us out with screaming babies (low bar, we admit!). Montrose West Hollywood was even better than what we expected -- with its shade covering on the rooftop, the gorgeous views of West Hollywood and the Hollywood Hills and the friendly staff. I'm pretty sure that my first lesson as a baby was at my high school swimming pool (that closed due to asbestos a few times over the years). The Montrose Hotel is certainly a step up. Once again, low bar...No asbestos! These dads approve.

Yelp
You know when someone's personality makes them even cuter? Well, the staff at Montrose took our lovely stay and made it even more beautiful! They were super friendly, accommodating, always smiling and I actually looked forward to passing through the lobby and picking up/dropping off our vehicle as every single time we were met with a gracious staff member! The room was spacious with a modern meets fun atmosphere, Sometimes swanky spots around Beverly Hills/West Hollywood can give an intimidating vibe - not here! We have never felt more comfortable at any of our countless SoCal stays as we did at Montrose. We will be back soon!!!

Yelp
Very nice staff . Room was nice . Almost identical look as Le Parc , their sister property near by . Very safe environment if you don't wanna see Hollywood bums near by but Both properties are very VERY loud . You will hear house keepers , doors slamming non stop in AM & PM & very drunk wild guests at all hours of the night . I called a few times and nothing was done with loud drunk guests . I think the staff over all are very passive & not assertive enough with loud guests, no rules enforced. And a non stop barking dog at 730am next to my room was the cherry on top . They did remove the daily fee, but I rather get a good nights rest . Even weekdays there was drunk girls fighting with men . I saw a few guests that were very questionable looking and acting , possibly escorts . The pool stair was broken and I almost cut my foot , it's kinda run down up there, I would not get your hopes up on a nice pool environment. The food is pretty tasty , but pricey for what it is . It's a ghost town in the Restaurant. They are generous with water bottles at the front desk , I would try to tip each time if I had cash on me . The room is very beautiful, it's too bad on the rest of the experience. I would look on hotels tonight and never pay their asking price . I wouldn't suggest to friends or family.

Yelp
Great location in West Hollywood, easy walking to restaurants and stores. Inside was clean, service was super friendly, the decor was fun. Would stay again. Friday night with tax and all was around $320.

Yelp
Very cute boutique hotel clean, safe, on a quiet street very close to the Gay nightlife in west Hollywood. Parking is a bit expensive but underground and safe. They offer a wine happy hour and coffee pretty much all day. Definitely will come back.

Yelp
I liked Le Montrose, but I didn't love it, mainly because of the construction. I think, had I booked my trip AFTER the construction was over, I'd love it immensely. The good: 1. The remodeled rooms are beautiful. Hip suites with plenty of seating. Almost too much decorations, but it's fun. 2. Location. 3. Large bathrooms 4. Free WiFi The not great: 1. Valet parking is $42 2. There is a $20 "resort fee". They give you two free drinks as a part of the fee which is nice, but don't give me the drinks and let me keep my money. 3. The bar /lounge area is really boring 4. The pool are is much smaller than I anticipated The staff was nice. The location was great. The price point was good too. I think right now it's kind of tough to recommend it because when I checked out the lobby had been completely moved to the second floor as the lobby (the real lobby) was being gutted. I can only imagine how you probably don't get a good nights sleep here now. Give it less than a year and give it a try, but maybe hold off on it for now. It could be good or you might now be happy at all. For me, it was ok, but if I would have stayed an extra day it would have been bad news.

Yelp
Nice hotel, quiet street, near center of West Hollywood, easy access to most hot spots, great staff, large rooms with kitchenette and most with balcony. Non smoking hotel. Has pool and tennis court. The only down spot is for long term stays, the laundry facilities are sub par. They should invest in upgrading with more machines and putting in a better location within the hotel. The area is over run with storage and mouse bait stations which is never a good sign. Overall, great quaint hotel... especially if you don't need to do laundry.

Yelp
The front desk staff is insanely rude, and went out of her way to make my experience more complicated than it needed to be for no reason other than the chip on her shoulder. I was extremely nice and pleasant and she treated me like I shouldn't be there from the moment I walked in. Definitely would not suggest and won't be back.

Yelp
There is major construction going on at the hotel now. During the day, the entire building shakes because of the construction. Very loud hammering and banging noise. Not a relaxing environment. At least they stop at night. The hotel should have notified guests that there was construction going on. I have stayed at other hotels where they advised guests if there was closures or construction. The hotel is in a residential area and looks like a Apartment building. I had a Superior King Suite that was pretty nice except for the cigarette smell (even though it was a none smoking room). There was no balcony even though the website stated it came with a balcony. The room had a full kitchen although it was nearly useless as it had no dishes or utensils. I specifically ordered this room for the kitchen. However, I was able to get room service to deliver a table setting to my room so I could use at least some of the kitchen. There are no ice machines but room service will deliver ice to your room fairly quickly. Parking is only valet and costs over $40 a night. There is also a "resort fee" of $20 a night. The "resort" is a pool and tennis court on the roof. The pool area looks nice and has a great view of the LA area. The location is in West Hollywood which explains the high prices. However, both Sunset and Santa Monica Blvd's are pretty close by so there is a lot to do in the vicinity. On the plus side, the staff is very pleasant and attentive. Normally this place would rate more than 1 Star, but the constructive is so annoying it's hard to justify anything higher. If you choose to come here, ask about the construction. It appears pretty extensive and looks like it will last a while.

Yelp
So my stay was AMAZING! I literally have zero complaints! The only issue I thought I had was resolved as soon as I asked, staff said no problem and made adjustments for me...I'd tell u want it was but it might have just been a "hook up" (lol) and not what they normally do so...lol I don't wanna get your hopes up...plus I'm awesome sauce....so ya know.... This place was BOMB tho the location was on point they had wine at 6 on the house AYCD(all you can drink!) And there where also happy hour specials which included a edamame hummus with a balsamic vinaigrette drizzle that was amazing literally amazing that was kind and friendly prompt service rooms are clean very Posh and really mood setters (if you know what I mean)

Yelp
DON'T TRUST THIS HOTEL FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS. This hotel ruined my birthday and offered me just $90 for my troubles. Read on to find out what happened... I booked a stay for a special milestone birthday. I had booked a suite about a week in advance, paid the full cost in advance, and received a confirmation from the hotel. When I arrived to check in, I was told the suite I had reserved was not available, but I could receive a similar room instead. I asked if the rooms were pretty equivalent in size and amenities, and I was told yes. However, when I got my keys and went to the room, I discovered that the room was a small room and lacked the living room, kitchen, and patio that were supposed to come with the suite I reserved. I was put in a room that cost half of what I paid for and was told it was equivalent to the suite I had reserved. I went to the front desk and complained about the fact that the hotel lied to me, and they said I could get a $30 food credit for my troubles. I insisted that was not enough to cover the change in reservation and the frustration they were causing me on my birthday, and then they said I could also get a $60 parking pass credit. However, the price differential in rooms was significantly more than that. The suite I had originally booked was priced at over $300 and the room I was put in by the hotel was worth half that price. Not to mention, the absolutely ruined birthday experience, given that I could not celebrate my birthday in the suite that I was expecting to have, with a living room, kitchen, and outdoor patio area. The front desk person basically told me, in a rude tone, "Take it, or leave it." Given I had already paid for my reservation in advance, the hotel basically stole my money, giving me a room that was half the value of what I paid for. This hotel completely ruined my milestone birthday celebration and all they gave me in return was a measly $30 food credit and a $60 parking pass. This hotel would be ok to book in emergencies or for a short business trip, but if you're looking to have a worry-free vacation with friends, loved ones, or family, or you're looking to celebrate a special occasion and would like to minimize the likelihood of anything going wrong or dealing with unpleasant surprises during your trip, I would NOT recommend staying here. If a hotel can't get something as basic as a reservation that was paid in advance correct, they are basically stealing the customer's money.

Yelp
I actually really liked this hotel ! I had a suite with a sunken living room. It was well appointed with a working fireplace ! The bed was comfy and the shower was nice. Overall it was great experience ! BUT the major problem for me was room 111 did not have any blinds on one of the windows. It's a first floor room !!!! People can see right into your room. I made eye contact with a guy walking his dog when I was getting changed.

Yelp
This hotel was tired, old and poorly taken care of. The pool area was a disaster. No music, and horrible furniture/design. It was really awkward and just felt like no one cared about anything. The food was really bad too. Whoever owns this place needs to do A LOT of work. The chamberlain was the same type of hotel but MUCH better quality.
