My wife and I stayed at the Monument both for business and pleasure. We agree it was one of the finest hotel experiences we've ever had. It started with our arrival, which was close to 1:00 AM. I accidentally booked the wrong dates. The staff couldn't have been nicer. They helped us find a room (the last available in the hotel). The room was great. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with a lovely shower and full-sized tub. We had a SECOND bathroom in our room that we didn't discover until our last day. It was adjacent to the front of our suite that had a sofa, television and desk. The desk was very convenient for my wife to connect and do work. Our room also had two balconies, one in the front room and a second off the bedroom. We had breakfast each morning on the top floor of the hotel. The combination of buffet style offerings with a cook to order menu was excellent. There were fresh pastries every day, baked by a bakery that's part of the hotel. Chef's kiss to this. We happened to be at the hotel on Valentine's day. They had a guest bartender from Paradiso, one of the top ranked bars in the world! We had an incredible experience talking to the bartender while enjoying unique, innovative cocktails. I HIGHLY recommend staying at the Monument. In addition to all the above, the location is perfect. Next time we're in Barcelona, we will 100% return to the Monument.

Perfect location right on the best avenue of Barcelona and the room we got had a terrace overlooking it. The restaurants are great and it has a three star Michelin restaurant which in my opinion is very underrated. It serves excellent food but it's not on this World's Best list so most people tend to de-prioritize this. The result is that it's easier to book this and you should because it's the best. The rooms are another story. For the price we paid, our junior suite at the corner was scandalously small and uncomfortable. A series of small rooms really, instead of a big nice room. But I guess this is how it needs to be in a heritage building in the best location, so it's not the fault of the hotel.

Monument hotel definitely deserves 5 star. The service was phenomenal and their staff truly showed hospitality to us. The hotel is well located and made us feel very safe. There are 2 Michele restaurants on site. Breakfast offers many choices and food was great with excellent presentation. I had to mention Carlos - he is the best server I've met in Spain. Also the doorman Jorge - he made us very welcomed when we were in and out of hotel and gave us information about the culture and town. Concierge and housekeeping team too. I can't say enough great things about them. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here for our first visit to Barcelona and couldn't have asked for more. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic for exploring the city. The rooms were large, luxurious and clean. It's easy to recommend this hotel.

I had a great stay. It is conveniently located in the main shopping area and within walking distance to major sites. When I checked in the bathroom was flooded from upstairs 😵 but it was fixed promptly. The staff are all nice and helpful, I was able to leave one of my luggage at the hotel for few days while I visit Southern Spain which I am very grateful of. The michelin starred restaurants are definately worth trying out (book early!). The room was spacious enough and had a little balcony for some fresh air too.

We stayed in many 5 stars hotels around the world, but honestly nothing compares to Monument Hotel Barcelona. ||The staff is absolutely amazing and it makes luxury feel comfortable. ||The suite we stayed in was incredible and the views towards Passeig de Gracia were unparalleled. ||Definitely a great hotel we will return to.

I wanted to give 5 stars, the view from this hotel was amazing and the extra king size bed was so comfy. The shower could give plenty hot water and the sink was also big enough. I wasn't feeling well unfortunately but because of this amazing room I could still enjoy the holiday. But the reception staff don't know the basic things... We asked if we could reach to the airport by a 24hour train ticket , a male staff said we had to buy another ticket because 24h one doesn't cover to the airport. We wasted time at the station because of his advice but actually we didn't need any additional tickets. It should have been pretty basic knowledge as a hotel staff so I deducted one star. I wasn't pleased to see some orange stains in the bath towel after I used it. And it's a great hotel but our room didn't have a dressing table so ladies should bring their own mirror if you want natural light and chair while putting on makeup. But I will come back here if I'm visiting Barcelona again, the view of the room is absolutely worth it and the room itself is just superb.

It feels like it's right in the middle of Ginza. World heritage sites are within walking distance, so it was convenient to go anywhere. The staff at the rooftop bar were the most energetic and responsive. The refrigerator was fully stocked with complementary items, which was helpful because I didn't have to go out of my way to buy one.
