This place is a consumer’s worst nightmare. I live in the area so I pop in every now and again. I’ve been buying tequila Fortaleza since 2010 and now it’s all the rage. Stores like this one are the brand owner’s worst nightmare. Around release date of the Winter Blend 2024 I asked if they had any in stock on the day I was told it might roughly drop in. The employee was bothered by me even asking ad said it was up to the manager would could buy one. Months later, they still have it on the shelf at a price even higher than the reseller Facebook groups. Today they have a Blanco lot 150 for $250 and that doesn’t even resell for as much online. Imagine owning a business and confusing your customers about whether or not you could buy something from them and then price gouging a limited product so high that it’s collecting dust almost 6 months later. Total turds.

Google
Incredible selection of hard to find beers and styles. I was only in town a month, and returned again and again. Prices aren’t bad either! Well done! Pictures are a few of my finds here that I very much enjoyed!

Vince Salinas

Google
Great selection of beer and whiskey. Some hard to find bourbons are priced well above secondary but if you need a certain something in a pinch.

Grace Lin

Google
A lot of interesting and rare found brand of wine!

Google
this is a sister store of a similar location in downtown Lafayette (CA). giving it three stars because of their competitively priced and decently diverse collection of wines and beers. There ARE things here that one is unlikely to see anywhere else...having said that, what one is unlikely to find here is a shred of ambience or customer service skill (traits shared by both stores). No welcome upon arrival, no thanks for visiting upon one's exit. Surely they get robbed from time to time, but so do banks, and you can usually find a smile and a hello there. Cannot truly recommend this business, but if you are desperate...its cheaper than other local, small liquor stores.

Google
Best craft beer selection in CC County. If they don't have what you're looking for, ask for Dave (the mgr) and he'll check on availability. Competitive prices. Great tequila selection. Also spirits from Bulgaria 🇧🇬 and Poland 🇵🇱. renaygarseeya-

Google
Great place for craft beers. Employees are nice and have good suggestions. They get regular deliveries of rotating brews, especially local ones - I can always find them fresh, canned or bottled within the past two weeks every time I visit. Best of all, they'll sell singles of any pack, just break it up!

Google
Just pretty old and dusty inside. Just went to pick up some items for a friend, but they didn’t sell what my friend wanted…. No one actually spoke when I walked in, but the guys spoke outside (construction workers)

Yelp
beware of the scams, wether through Uber Eats or in person, the prices are unbelievable. Drive down a couple of blocks and you will save more than $7 dollars on something worth $20 dollars.

Yelp
I came here with my dude in Nov 2019 before a Raiders game as we wanted to pre turn up before the game. The dude is a huge tailgater so we wanted to grab some alcohol to sip on while we tailgate. Anywho, the dude informed me he would come here with his dad before games. I was honored to be apart of the tradition. I LOVE going into wine and spirit shops as I love to add bottles to my collection. I viewed the whole shop while the dude was looking at beers for him. I went over to the owner to see if they had Electra to give to my dudes grandma as she loves wine. The owner said he doesn't have it and I recommend to him to carry that and Stella Rosa black which he didn't have either. I got a sweet wine for the relatives and chatted with the owner for a while. The owner informed me with each purchase you get a free bag of ice! Which you cannot beat and free gift wrap. I absolutely love this shop! I definitely will be coming back if I am in the area as it is located in the Bay. If you have a chance to stop by. I would recommend. They even had HUGE bottles of wine/alcohol. I think it's fun for collecting. It was very clean inside and the owner was very friendly too!

Yelp
THE best liquor store in the area. They have the really good stuff - Revision, Bare Bottle, etc. They used to have Pliney, 8 bucks a bottle, limit to two. But because there is so many other great beers now, they dropped it to 6 bucks a bottle (what you pay at the actual brewery) and no limit. I always see Plineys here now interestingly. I originally had a 5 star review but bought 8 Bare Bottle beers here yestrday and it turns out six of them were from May/June (it's mid-Sept right now) and they were flat as paper. If I'm paying 5.50-6 bucks a pop, I expect fresh beer. This is the first time this has ever happened in the years I've been going here but I am going to say paying 44 bucks for some beers and finding most are flat is not good. But that's the first time I've ever encountered this here. I think they must have either found some in the back that they forgot about and put out or Bare Bottle was trying to get rid of some old ones - either way, check the bottom of your cans for the dates before buying.

Yelp
Admittedly I was in a rush going through there so I didn't have time to peruse the aisles more. But what I did see was quite impressive amounting to a great selection of beer. A good variety of microbrews as well as mainstream brands. But I was actually quite impressed with the microbrew selection!

Yelp
Look at the brewskis I picked up today! King Crusher/Claim Stake, Shift/Bay Area Brewers Guild, and Hustle Culture/Canyon Club. Where are you going to find random beers like this?!!! No wherz! These are light beers but flavorful: Lager w/aged beechwood, dry-hopped Blonde and a Hoppy Lager in that order. Looking for the candy store of beer (or wine)? Here it is! Gotta frickin' drop by!!! Cheers! Got some beers to drink.

Yelp
Small business which is full of hidden gems and hard to find alcohol all at amazing prices. Highly recommended this place to everyone
google avatar

Dustin T.

Yelp
Went here and my drivers license expired a few weeks ago. He just told me I couldn't buy alcohol. Didn't even bring up the option of using other forms of ID, so I just went to Costco instead and they used my other valid form of government ID. I'll just support the big box stores!
google avatar

Yelp
Beer enthusiast's heaven!! Amazing selection of unique beers with great prices. I easily spend 25 bucks every trip and stock up on new beers.
google avatar

Kevin K.

Yelp
Stellar beer selection at a great price. Love being able to buy singles and not having to always grab a 6 pack. You can always find a few hidden gems in the fridge that are worth taking home!

Yelp
Beers, wines, spirits galore. Finding a spot with craft brews I mean more than 3 breweries can be challenging. This place has about every local brewery + more. Isles and isles of beers, wines and spirits and fridges packed with cold brews and non alcoholic beverages. They also carry candy and chips, lotto, and tobacco. Definitely a one stop shop for all your recreational needs. The people who work here are every knowledgeable about their products. You can tell they care. I was even offered a complimentary bag of ice to keep my brews cold on my bike ride home. Great Prices, Quality liquor.
google avatar

Yelp
Wait, wait, wait. I haven't written a review yet? Must be all that good beer, champagne and prosecco I have been purchasing. The prices are great, the staff is knowledgeable and it's close to home. From La Marca to Chandon to Veuve Clicquot, hands down, this is the place to go. You can't beat the prices or the selections! Did I mention they have tons of beer and wine..
google avatar

Ruoxu L.

Yelp
This place has quite a selection of rare finds of whiskeys at very reasonable prices too!

Jane P.

Yelp
They have different varieties of beers and wine. I love my IPAs and it's enough to choose from for even the most picky beer fan.

Yelp
We made glögg on Saturday as a kick off to the holiday season. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulled_wine I thought that we could find all the necessary ingredients at Safeway. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough port. Actually, they had enough port but not enough in our price range (i.e. as inexpensive as possible). Jac C is smart and suggested we check next door at Monument Wine & Spirits. There we found a much better selection and much better prices than Safeway. It was worth the extra stop. Excellent selection of beer, wine and liquor and competitive prices.
google avatar

Javier P.

Yelp
They have a very wide selection of just about every type of beer, liquor, wine you could be looking for. They also have hard to find and more rare craft beer and liquor here. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wide selection of wine and sprits.
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
I think it's pretty awesome when a place gives you anything for free (well, free with purchase). Spend $5 and you can get a free bag of ice! We stopped in here tonight and I was surprised how bright and open it is on the inside. From the outside it looks kind of dark. It was well organized and even though I'm not a big beer drinker, I noticed the huge selection they offer. Bought a large bottle of Popov Vodka (yeah, very blue collar but I like the stuff). It was a couple dollars more than Cork and Bottle has been selling it for, but they recently stopped carrying this size. Very friendly employees at the front. And free ice on our way out! Mixed drinks at home tonight! And I won't have to refill the ice trays before bed.

Yelp
Monument Wine carries beers joe six pack wouldn't usually look at: imported brews, high end micros like abbey, special edition stuff. there's plenty of beers sitting on the shelves and cases which i didn't peruse. of course, having such an inventory cost $$ and the consumer pays for it. no bargains here. but you can find what you want at.......... 4,5 stars pour: blue frog grog & grill 10th anniversary ale( 22 oz, 10.5%, 9.59++ -stout aged in red wine barrels -tasted more like effervescent red wine than ale, slow buzz. 4 stars 4 stars but wouldn't repeat on draught: -automated ding dong goes off when you enter. (security related) -aisles efficient, nothing gets in way of shopping. -lots of parking.

Yelp
Only judging the craft beer (I don't really drink or know about wine & spirits), this place is fantastic, probably the best around. Everyone who works there is nice and will leave you to peruse the vast selection or offer some suggestions if you want. They regularly (multiple times a week) get in new, rotating local and regional brews, so you'll always find extremely fresh cans and bottles. And they're cool with breaking up packs to sell singles of pretty much anything.
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
Legit craft beer selection! Moved here from Colorado a few years ago. My husband and I know our beers and with this gem here in town, we are truly spoiled yet again. The rotation of ipa', porters, stouts, and lagers are awesome here! I'd rather go and grab a beer here than at any of the breweries in the area. Also, the gentlemen that work there are super cool and knowledgeable.

Yelp
Super friendly neighborhood liquor store. Great selection and prices. Wtf else do you want?

Yelp
***Updated Review*** The old man who owns the place Dave messaged me saying I shouldn't have come in last minute and that "YOU PEOPLE ARE ALL THE SAME". Really Sir what exactly are you implying? When I went to message him he blocked me. Go figure coward. This review is based on the fact that as soon as we walked in the old man at the register says " were closing in 3 minutes what do you want ". I was like we'll damn I don't know what the hell I want now since you are talking to me crazy. The door should have been LOCKED already if your customers were going to get kicked out anyways. Bad customer service for such a HUGE store with a beautiful selection of liquor. Luckily my boyfriend is the soft hearted one and ended up buying something. I sure as hell came back home and wrote this review.
google avatar

Di T.

Yelp
A nice little indie liquor and convenience store. Mostly liquor, beer, and wine with appropriate groceries for basic mixology, plus some snacks and soda. Looks like a great store to pick something up on your way to a party (or to entertain last minute guests) if you live in the neighborhood. Excellent prices, clearly marked deals. Selection of standard spirits are good for the size of the store. Scored a nicely priced bottle of Stoli Vodka and diet Bundaberg for Moscow mules. Wasn't looking for top shelf stuff, but did notice they had St George and a few higher end spirits. They didn't have a few rarer spirits on my list, but I wouldn't dock points from my review for that. I didn't look through the beer or wine sections closely, but I have enough trust in this place that I'd be able to find something to fit my taste and budget no matter the tipple I'm after. Bonus stars for a great selection of mini bottles behind the counter, and a friendly guy who was working the register (possibly the owner) who helpfully double bagged my order. Will be coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is awesome, huge selection, everything is organized and priced, super friendly staff, I will visit this store again when I travel back through

Josh K.

Yelp
Love the selection here, however, I don't care for the political opinions of the older dude at the cash register. I'm here to buy beer not listen to your gripes about our government.

Calvin C.

Yelp
Came in here to buy lotto tickets and ended up buying beer instead. First off, this place is great. Great selections on beer and hard alcohol. Smaller selection on wine. Good service and competitive prices for a non big chain store. If you are looking for a bigger alcohol selection than Safeway, come here. If you are looking to buy lotto tickets....dont come here. Will be back.

Yelp
"Monument Wine & Spirits"...are they trying to keep their huge stock of micro brews a secret? I would never have ventured in to this place if it weren't for the friendly guys at Ale Industries. They mentioned that Monument W&S sells their beer, so I figured they must have a decent selection. I had no idea! You'll find rows upon rows of local craft beer, some new, some vintage. It's a beer lover's paradise. Don't be scared off by the 70's facade or messy, dank interior. You just might stumble upon your new favorite beer here! The staff were very friendly & helpful. They even talked me into purchasing another bottle of beer from a new brewery in Oakland (Calicraft). I loved it & was so glad I listened to them! Minus one star for the mold-encrusted bottles in the refrigerated section.

Yelp
Should've written this review months ago, better late than never, i suppose. Wish they had a store like this closer to home. Came here in the winter, in search of St George Spirits' Single Malt Whiskey. We drove ~3 hours to the bay area, armed with a list of possibles; Monument was the second stop, after the first was a strikeout. Although they'd sold out, they thought their sister store would have some; a call later, and a bottle was on hold for us. As thanks, i stopped back the next day for another 18 year old single malt i'd been eying the night before on our hunt. definitely need to come back when i'm in the area, as their selection blows away everything in my area with the exception of BevMo, though they're still head and shoulders above BevMo in that aspect, and they blow everyone away on service. (outpriced Bevmo on a couple things too, such as that 18 year.)

Yelp
Since Untappd hit the scene, my beer palette has grown. Finding a place with a variety of beers you can't find anywhere can be difficult. Thankfully, Monument Wine & Spirits is only a couple miles from my house. With a large selection, knowledgeable staff and decent prices, Monument puts other liquor stores in Concord to shame. They even have some brews that are no longer in circulation. You can buy solo bottles, six packs, kegs or any other thing your little alcoholic heart desires at this place. Prices range on the type of beer, size, place it's from, etc. if you are a beer snob, you'll probably spend a pretty penny here. But if, like me, you just want to try anything and everything, you can get some great deals here. I highly suggest hitting this place up before going to your regular liquor store for a Mickeys. Trust me, you'll thank me.
google avatar

Duncan M.

Yelp
This place is beer heaven. If you're interested in beer beyond the norm, accept no substitute. It's like BevMo with soul. Bonus: they are very reasonably priced. Trying some obscure Belgian will not break the bank. Nor will a great IPA from a California brewery (try the Marin Brewery 'White Knuckle' Double IPA). They also have a great selection of spirits, including Eastern European stuff that a Polish friend of mine loves. For a great rum, try the Oronoco. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Darren R.

Yelp
Great place to get that hard to find beer. One of the only places around I can find my favorite beer (I will not tell you which one, because they routinely run out, and I don't need the competition). Lots of liquor too, probably wine too but I haven't noticed cause I'm usually face deep in the fridge drooling over the plentiful assortment of frosty beverages. Go there but leave me my favorite
google avatar

Jac C.

Yelp
Don't be fooled; this place doesn't look very big on the outside, but there is a lot to find on the inside. There are more Belgian and Belgian-style beers than I could sample in a year and they have lots more mainstream varieties cold and ready to go. They have craft brews aplenty and even Coor's Light if that's your thing. They have a pretty good selection of red and white wines, maybe not as many as the grocery stores but at better prices. They have a few white and sparkling wines chilled and ready to go but if you need it to be ready-to-drink right now, your options are slightly limited. In addition to all the popular brands of vodka, whiskey, etc. they have cases of rare scotch and cognac and other tempting indulgences. The people working there are friendly and helpful, and they seem to be good about checking IDs and not selling to minors, something I fully support.
google avatar

Mr. G.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. They're always getting the good, limited releases and high quality reserves. The staff is polite and helpful. They'll go out of their way to help find what you're looking for. Prices are very reasonable and in line with the market. I try to stop in once a month to see what's new. Never disappointed.
google avatar

Dave H.

Yelp
CALLED IT!! They up'd their RR IPAs to $6.49. Looks like I'm getting mine in SF from now on. Suggested retail is $4.79-$4.99.
google avatar

Christopher G.

Yelp
TL;DR: Excellent selection of all things booze: wine, liquor, and beer. Now that the Safeway next door is gone, this would be my primary stop for liquor in the area, should that be all I'm shopping for. They have a nice sized refrigerator with a good selection of beer, everything from your basic domestics to more regional and craft type brews. Also contained within are a few bottles of malt liquor/40's as well as white wines and a few champagnes (good for brunch Mimosa's!) The liquor selection is EXPANSIVE. Big. Seriously so. High end or cheap stuff, they have pretty much everything. Only place nearby that would have a selection that eclipses would be BevMo, but this joint is much more convenient for me. They also have a shopping cart near the registers that is filled with "Clearance" items, which, I'm not sure if they are just items that are not selling well or what, but they tend to have some pretty decent booze discounted pretty heavily. The wine selection isn't as impressive as their beer or liquor collections, but its respectable, and fairly priced, for the most part. They also of course have all the other standards, ciggies, lotto tickets, and the like. If booze is all you are looking for, then this place will fit the need quite nicely.
google avatar

Sam M.

Yelp
Buy some beer and get the hell out. This is not some stupid shopping experience. This is a place that sells a amazing variety of beer/wine. You need to do your homework before you show up, no hand holding or asking questions. If you dont know what you want, drive to bevmo. Turn it up and rip the knob off.
google avatar

Benjamin P.

Yelp
For those Beer Advocates out there, this place is a diamond in the rough. For the amount of people that drink good beer in the bay area, the amount of heady beer stores is lacking. Made the trip out here after a weekend in San Francisco before heading back to the South Bay. Well worth my stop, but I did drop $200 easily. Russian River, Port, Lost Abbey, Drake, Stone, Rogue, Rodenbach, Flying Dog, Lost Coast, rare Belgiums and the list goes on. Some of their bottles are a bit dusty, but none of the beers I've tasted thus far that I purchased there tasted like they had been skunked. They have many loose 12oz bottles if you want to try something new and not get locked into an entire six pack if it sucks. I also picked up a snifter and Chimay Goblet which were reasonably priced. I heard rumor that they had carried Pizza Port, so after unsuccessfully searching, I asked the young gentleman behind the counter if they had any and he looked at me like I was cracking a joke on him. Later, a nicer man (probably about 33) said that they had discontinued that brewery. He rang me up quickly and helped me carry my 4 boxes of beer out to my car on a dolly.

Yelp
Beer Heaven. I was amazed to find this place on Monument with such an amazing selection of beer. Most liquor stores are the same old routine but not this one. I strolled the aisles like a kid in a candy store or more accurately, a collector at a trade show. There were tons of bottles in nooks and crannies and I just kept finding more things I wanted to buy. I live in Danville so it's a bit of a drive for beer but believe it or not I went specifically because I needed 6-packs of Coors Light tall cans for a gift and they were the only place that carried them. They had 6 packs of CL talls AND obscure Swedish ales. I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Rodney Lee D.

Yelp
Having difficulty finding the beer you like? Try this place. I'm glad I have a place close by to get my favorite beer fix. Tons to select from and a lot you can single bottle it. Go with you default, or try something different...this is the local place to go to. Wine and Spirits too!
google avatar

Rob N.

Yelp
This is my favorite liquor store in the area. They have a fantastic and wide ranging choices of beers, hard liquor, and wines. It's wonderful to walk into a liquor store that isn't overflowing with an endless supply of IPA's that practically every beer company now makes. Radlers, lagers, stouts, Belgian style, Irish ale and numerous other options to choose from. Their employees are knowledgeable and their prices are good too.

Eduardo D.

Yelp
First time I went in there a day ago I was like WOW definitely saw lots of good stuff at great prices. Will be back and update review. 5 stars in my book.
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
Monument Wine & Spirits is a great place for microbrews. They have a great selection of local beers. Monument Wine & Spirits is in an unassuming shopping center. It is definitely cooler than 7-Eleven and has great prices.
google avatar

Nick C.

Yelp
Excellent selection of beers and liquors. Only 'OK' selection of wines though. Great customer service - on my Birthday one year, the manager/owner? gave me a small bottle of Bacardi for free! HOLLA! That is an easy way to keep your customers! Only issue- they close ridiculously early (I want to say like 6PM on the weekdays). If you buy from here, you have to plan that you will be drinking much later on.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
Sooooo much choice! Do not come here if you do not have sufficient time to browse... 1000+ beers according to the management, and I can sort of believe it, the store is a maze of beer! Following a tip off in BevMo we headed over and began wandering the aisles. We selected a few interesting single bottles but in no way did the shop justice. Another visit is overdue!! Amazing choice, friendly knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices
google avatar

Josh G.

Yelp
Damn, thank God the lady had to go run some errand that took a long ass time, or I would have never found this place. Was sitting in my truck waiting for her; after about twenty minutes of sitting around with my thumb up my ass I finally thought to myself, "Seems like a great time to crack open a brew." (She was going to work anyway, and I was her ride outta there so I had some time to spare). J-walked a couple of streets to the strip mall only to find Moraga Wine & Spirits. First thing I found was some Stone brews and I thought to myself "No fucking way!!!!" Had the Russian Imperial Stout by Stone and the clerk told me about the location off Monument. As soon as she was out of work we beelined to the one in Concord and I was stooooked. So much beer, so many Stone brews. I was in heaven. THis is the only place in northern California that has such a diverse selection of beer (and most importantly STONE brews!). I will definitely be returning for all my beer needs. Thank you Moraga/Concord Wine & Spirits for making NORCAL a little less depressing - now I can drink my woes away with good beer!
google avatar

Rick J.

Yelp
This place is awesome. If you love beer you'll love this place! This was my first time here after a recommendation from my cousin. Looking for some sour beers in concord was nearly impossible until this place. Nothing like it anywhere. The amount of different types of beer is overwhelming! If it weren't for my girlfriend I could have spent over an hour just looking at beer labels, and could have spent my whole paycheck. Looking for beer and sick of Safeway's selection? Go to monument wine and spirits.

Christopher C.

Yelp
The best in whiskeys under 50 . Period! Thankyou an happy new yr. Mr. Chavez plus a darn good collection of n/a beers
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
A beer mecca of the East Bay. This is the place for hard to find quality craft beers. Bought Stone Imperial Russian Stout and Lagunitas Hops Stoopid bombers here. I will definitely be going back here.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
They have the greatest selection of beer in the East Bay carrying everything from Keystone to Sam Adams Utopias. Every 12oz bottle is for sale, which is great considering the vast selection. Just pick out a bottle from any six pack and they've got the price for it up front. Another great thing about this place is that they hold on age-able ales and sell them at fair prices. Today I picked up a bottle of 2008 Stone Old Guardian. They also had 2009, 2010, and 2011. I've seen no other store that does this. You'll rarely see any special prices or sales, but everything is standard price and not inflated like many other liquor stores.
google avatar

David J.

Yelp
The beer! The BEER!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING beer selection of craft beers, in addition to a good spread of liquors, wines, and the rest. But go here for the beer, no question. I found everything from the specialty Stone brews to a fantastic beer from Iceland! As well as pretty much everything in between :) Craft beer heaven. Highly recommended! Prices are what you'd expect for the type of quality brews you are getting, not dirt cheap but definitely reasonable.
