This place is fantastic they have so many flavors and delicious cones. I love coming here and we get ice cream and a bag of fresh nuts so amazing. But there is a long line every time honestly worth the wait 🥰

Mary Elizabeth

Google
This little place has a TON of different flavors. I had the key lime pie, and it tasted exactly like a pie! So good!! There was a line out the door (even on a chilly day), so be patient with the staff.

Amanda Mohammed

Google
This is the BEST ice cream I have ever had and it was creamy, thick and did not melt so fast. I will definitely be coming back. I had the Lavender Coconut 🥥 ice cream! 🍦 it was thick and rich with lavender flavor all throughout and a tint of purple 💜

Greta Helling

Google
As a local, I want to love this place…but it’s just not good. The ice cream is overpriced and flavorless. In what world are two cones $19? Also, they don’t offer samples. You can find cheaper and more delicious ice cream in New Hope and Lambertville.

Melissa Watters

Google
Sweet place but I wish I would have read the reviews on the vegan ice cream. I had the cookie dough. It was not good, I actually wound up throwing it out and I am NOT picky in the least. Very strange texture, sort of warm and fluffy. Expensive also :-(

Google
This cool spot right on main st has a great selection of flavors, they also have coffee, cookies shakes and more. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The day I went on 6/22 was the heat wave so seating inside was the best option. Prices are also reasonable. Downside is that they don't offer samples but with ice cream you are rarely disappointed, depending on when you stop by you may encounter a line but they have plenty of staff behind the counter socti moves fast. If you're in the area and need your ice fix definitely stop by to make you're new hope visit complete.

After a great dinner (but so great dessert) at Martine's, we decided to hustle to Moo Hope before they closed. This seems to be THE ice cream place in New Hope and they had a variety of interesting and classic flavors. The standout for me was the house-made waffle cones. They were clearly fresh and even a little but warm. They don't have the crisp that a typical waffle cone does, which I like. It was almost more of a cookie than a crispy cone. We got one scoop of cookie dough in a waffle cone with rainbow sprinkles (my favorite). this was a great call because we were able to eat the ice cream out of the cone as if it was a bowl. I would recommend this as a way to split a flavor or two. They also had a few other options (roasted nuts) for snacks. The cowhide seat covers on the chairs at the tables was a nice touch. If you only have time to get dessert at one place in New Hope, stop by this place. It was definitely a place I would return to.

Google
Stop here! If you enjoy ice cream (like I do), you have to add Moo Hope to your list. Right in the main street in New Hope, just a few short steps before the bridge over to Lambertville. They offer a number of homemade flavors to try. I wanted a little of what they're known for, and a little of what I like best, so I ordered a cone with one scoop off peanut butter chocolate and one scoop of lavender coconut (one if their popular flavors). Both were delicious! I'll be trying the lavender coconut again; it was much better than I had anticipated.

Yelp
We visited around 9 on a warm Saturday night. They have a wide variety of flavors including classics like mint chip, cookies and cream, salted caramel and black raspberry chip, and some more interesting flavors. I asked for a sample of the raspberry but they don't do samples. They also don't have small cones - just ginormous homemade waffle cones. My husband ultimately got that with salted caramel and coffee- it fits up to three scoops for $12. It was certainly big enough to share. I found the service a bit lukewarm and the lack of individual cone options less than ideal, but sharing worked fine for us and we enjoyed our huge cone! I wish I had taken a photo!

Craig D.

Yelp
No samples, no sales. Not spending $15 for shakes if we can't sample the flavor first.

Belle P.

Yelp
Smells soo good and inviting..... Unfortunately, that is the only appeal of this place. The ice cream was overpriced and flavorless. I paid $10 for a two scoop with two flavors. Ended up tossing it in the garbage before I got to the end of the street.

BillieLyn M.

Yelp
Had high hopes for this place but it was the worst ice cream I've had. $20 for two waffle cones that we ended up throwing out. Take your money elsewhere, your tastebuds will thank you.

Daniella S.

Yelp
To be fair I only had 2 flavors but both were delicious!! The Oreo coffee one, it's sooooo good and different and well balanced. We also shared the cookie dough one which was good. We will try more on our next visit im sure!

Joe G.

Yelp
This is the worst ice cream that I've ever had. Avoid it. Homemade but not using good ingredients or process, I guess. Not creamy and no pleasing mouth feel. I tasted only two spoonfuls before handing it back.

Caren G.

Yelp
No ice cream is worth $11 a cone. That's just robbery. People are getting a little ridiculous overvaluing their products. Well guess what, we will never go there again. Serve smaller portions that people can actually finish and charge less. And...the ice cream was mediocre at best. Pass!

Nicole P.

Yelp
I was visiting Newhope for the first time, and I said let me try some new hope ice cream we got there and we ordered and there was two gentlemen behind the counter which had no personalities and were very rude. I ordered the coffee Oreo and he gave me plain coffee I said to him do you want to just give me another cup of the Oreo coffee? He said no you have to throw it away so I said OK I'll keep it and throw it away at the end. Instead, he took it and threw it away in my face. in today's economy, you don't do. Very sad management.

Yelp
The most important part of an ice cream shop is the ice cream, yet this place failed to wow me with the quality of their ice cream. The selection of flavors was pretty good, though. The next most important thing is the service, yet the two girls working here failed to act inviting and proceeded to give a rude tone when responding to a question of mine. The ambiance was outdated and unremarkable. Overall, the outrageous prices they charge for rude service, unimpressive ice cream, and a mediocre atmosphere make this shop one that I will not be visiting again. I most definitely prefer OWowCow in Lambertville for a sweet treat served with a smile in a great ambiance.

Mary B.

Yelp
Dirty and old inside. You're not allowed to sample any flavors. First ice cream shop I have ever encountered that does not allow this. So take your chance on a flavor, buy the over priced ice cream. If you don't like that's okay they made their money on you. Staff is not friendly. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Mike C.

Yelp
$9.28 for a 16 oz milkshake. Yes, you read that right. They offer two flavors, same price I guess. Just got one flavor, blue something, was told it tasted like fruit loops cereal... not sure the kids running the business have ever had fruit loops. Definitely will not go back.

Deb A.

Yelp
Nice ice cream stop after walking the bridge from NJ. They have lots of flavors... Delicious ice cream made from local dairy in their premises.

Dana K.

Yelp
The best thing about this place is the location. The ice cream was awful. The place is run down and dirty. The staff, well there's nothing good that I can say about the staff. I will never go there again. It was over priced and like I said the ice cream was awful. I never knew you could mess up ice cream. The place reminded me of something a slumlord would own. There is no pride in this business. I wish I went to Ninas waffles down the street. Lesson learned.

William S.

Yelp
Stopped in with my nephew last week. I had one scoop in a cup and he had two scoops in a cone and the price was $16.99. Ice cream was fine, but how could a larger family afford these prices?

MaryPat C.

Yelp
The ice cream was overpriced and not that good. The waffle cone leaked like crazy....definitely don't get if you are on a date, wearing clothes you like, or don't have a shower close by.

Traci H.

Yelp
Ice cream and service was bland. Was excited to try Irish cream ice cream. Basically vanilla. Do they try it before they offer to the Public? Expensive for for unfriendly service and subpar ice cream. Do your research before wanting a sweet treat in this area.

Shania S.

Yelp
The best ice cream shop on the block! I have come to visit New Hope from time to time and Moo Hope has always been a place that I have wanted to visit and I finally did! Moo Hope comes highly recommended from people that I had talked to around the town so I had to check it out. It was a hot summer day and their ice cream was the perfect way to end the day during my walk around the town. They are open with outside orders only during Covid-19 and the servers wear masks and gloves. The servers were very kind, friendly and inviting! Moo Hope has many different flavors, toppings and combinations to choose from with the option to choose 1 to 3 Scoops, Sundays, or milkshakes! I can't wait to visit again this summer with my friends and try more flavors!

R H.

Yelp
Serious lack of flavor! I ordered a 2 scoop waffle cone. Cake batter and coffee Oreo coffee (perhaps not the best combination) and all I got was a freezer burn taste. No flavor at all. Waffle cone was like eating cardboard. It smelled great inside but that was as much "flavor" as I got. For me it was a waste of money. Sorry.

Stacy D.

Yelp
Don't hesitate to try Lavender Coconut flavor! It's so good! The taste amazingly blended and smooth.

Kelly G.

Yelp
Moo Hope is fantastic! Such a wide array of flavors to choose from, my boyfriend and I felt like we had to try everything before making a decision. I am not one for chocolate, but their rosemary chocolate was very very good, I might need to come back just for this! What made it even better is that they make their own sugar cones, which make this place stand out that much more. We are definitely going to need to come back sometime soon!

Julio G.

Yelp
Oh my god the ice cream was so friggin good. Huge fan of the lavender and coconut ice cream. Their new flavors are mint Oreo and mango. Both seriously delicious. I opted for mint and my friend had the lavender. It was beyond delicious!!!! I would get a scoop or two of ice cream with topping and some type of candy. The mini donuts were to die for. I mixed it with the ice cream and it was to die for. I preferred the cinnamon and sugar over the powdered sugar. Plus it was better with the ice cream in my opinion! Overall great experience lots of room for groups. Good times and smiles all around. Enjoyed myself today to the maximum! Please enjoy your visit!!! *please vote below if you enjoyed reading*

Yelp
Moo Hope? More like Noo Hope! I didn't think it could exist, but this place quite possibly has the worst ice cream I've ever had. The coffee ice cream was atrocious and the coconut was pretty much just vanilla ice cream. I took two licks and in the garbage it went - such a shame.

Jess K.

Yelp
The iced cream is delicious. That's all that should matter, but it's not. The floors are sloped with no signs which is a lawsuit waiting to happen, the employees were not wearing masks. Additionally, we asked simple questions to a young woman who snapped at us. No lids for when you're taking home iced cream. They need to work on service.

Brooklyn A.

Yelp
Nice service however the ice cream is very mediocre. I wasn't able to sample any flavors because the girl at the window said they're not allowed to right now...not sure how covid would affect tasting samples (even if they limited the tastings) because employees are wearing masks and so are customers but we'd have to take off our masks to eat the ice cream anyway & if the employees are wearing masks how does that affect the sample tastings?? Also Prices are a bit too high, clearly paying for location.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
Really wasn't a fan of the ice cream here. I tried a few of the flavors and none of them were really flavorable, rather I found them overly milky/icy. The service is also kind of terrible (at least when it gets a little crowded). It becomes chaotic mess behind the counter when the line starts to build up. Granted, it looks like there are quite a few young kids working there, but customers should be handled better in this type of business. The person serving me asked 3 separate times what my order was and still got it wrong. This is a perfect location for an ice cream shop, so I hope they can step it up.

Yelp
I've been here twice in the past few months, once in the summer and once last night. When I went in the summer I got the most amazing crumb cake flavor and a birthday cake flavor in a waffle cone that was dipped with insanely good chocolate. Those ice cream flavors were really really good and I absolutely suggest getting them when they have them. Last night, they had a very limited number of flavors. The service was really good and they let us sample as many as we wanted. I wish they had more variety in the limited number of flavors they had, like I wish they had birthday cake instead of two types of caramel (vanilla and chocolate) or two types of peanut butter (vanilla and chocolate) or two types of pumpkin (pumpkin and pumpkin chip) because having two types of one flavor limited even more the types of flavors offered. So, I ordered vanilla peanut butter and cookie dough on a chocolate dipped waffle cone with sprinkles and M&Ms. My friend ordered two scoops of pumpkin and some toppings and enjoyed it. Summer visit: Pros: Great service Amazing cones with amazing chocolate it's dipped in Great portions REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD crumb cake and birthday cake flavors. Soooooo many chucks of cake! Cons: None? Last night: Pros: the lady who served me seemed to probably be the owner cause she was older than their employees usually are and seemed to be in charge. She only charged me for one topping even though I got two, which was super nice. The waffle cone never disappoints, it's really high quality chocolate on it and it's a really good waffle recipe. And it's big. Big portions are always very much appreciated with me. Cons: the cookie dough ice cream had a bit of an odd flavor to it after a few licks. And the cookie dough bites definitely did too. Like I ate the whole thing and I enjoyed it, but in the back of my mind I was like hmm this is a strange flavor. And the peanut butter one was good but not overwhelmingly great the way the birthday and crumb cake ones had been. Though I don't know if any of the flavors they had last night would have blown me away as much. When I went this summer, it was insanely busy and there were tons of staff, so despite the large crowd, your wait time was nonexistent. When I went last night, they had two employees but it's fall so we were the only customers. So both seasons were appropriately staffed.

Sheila D.

Yelp
Visited twice while on vacation. Lots of flavors to choose from which is great. Quick and friendly service.

Jenny P.

Yelp
Fun little ice cream parlor! I had the lavender coconut ice cream and it was a nice balance of both flavors! The texture may not be as creamy with the pieces of coconut mixed in, but it wasn't off-putting for me. Pricey for ice cream, but hey it was worth it.

Kat G.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream and some unique flavors. Really loved the pistachio and the coconut lavender. A little pricey, but that comes with the territory. Service was fast and friendly! :)

Diana S.

Yelp
Great ice cream and fun flavors, it is always a win here. I would recommend giving this place a try.

Duraiya K.

Yelp
Been there multiple times. Always the place to visit before walking across the bridge. The pistachio and pecan almond icecream are the best great treat for me. The place is mostly crowded in the evening and weekend. If you ever visit the area don't miss this shop.

megan r.

Yelp
The chocolate rosemary was strangely delicious! We all enjoyed our ice cream. They do offer vegan options, which is nice because one person in our group is lactose intolerant and sometimes that's easier for them than worrying if they took enough lactaid!

Christopher C.

Yelp
Yikes. I've gotten my face pushed into gravel as a kid, and it tasted better than this. I was so unsatisfied with their flavors, i went back to my late great-grandma's house, crowbarred the lock off of her ice chest in the garage, dug out the Schwans ice cream, chiseled three inches of ice crystals off the top, and still found ice cream tastier than Moo Hope's creamy mushy asphalt googoo poopoo flavor. Stay away. Save your teeth, and your sanity. Stay cultured, friends. It does get better.

Katie J.

Yelp
Three stars for an average kind of ice cream place: average ice cream, average flavors, average cost ($4 for a scoop). There is a little bit of smooshed together seating if you'd like to eat there. I wish I had something more interesting to write - it's not a bad place to go, just entirely average and not a place to go out of your way to visit.

Isabel J.

Yelp
It was a very hit Saturday afternoon and we passed by this home made ice cream shop. Of course I couldn't passed the temptation and went inside. The place seems very popular since it was packed. After trying about three different flavors I went with my forever favorite ice cream flavor rum raisin. I consider myself a rum raisin connoisseur since I been eating this flavor since I was about 5 yrs old. Well this ice cream shop did not disappoint, it was delicious and very creamy. This is an only cash place.

Lucretzia B.

Yelp
I pas on this place. They were serving ice cream cones without gloves or napkins, they were serving with their bare hands.

Nadia B.

Yelp
I had to wait in line to get served but it was well worth the wait! I ordered a small Cookie Dough in a cone and got 1 large scoop in a tasty cone. I was pleasantly surprised to taste ice cream that tasted homemade. The quality of this ice cream is not only high but its affordable.

Louise H.

Yelp
Run don't walk to enjoy delicious ice cream here. Added perk: go outside through the restaurant and sit by the river. Never knew this outdoor space was here. Love it on this sunny warm spring day!

Laura H.

Yelp
Good milkshakes but did find Hair in my ice cream after my Oder was mixed up twice! Only reason I'm doing two stars is because of the kind service. A plus is that they have great vegan option

Marlyn V.

Yelp
I'm am STUNNED that this place has no reviews considering it always has a packed house when you pass by! Moo Hope Ice Cream is like a local mom and pop shop, with teenagers running the parlor and serving up some delicious treats. The have a hand written menu that changes here and there with some fun flavors like my favorite Salted Caramel Vanilla and then the regular classics. I like the ice cream here because it isn't overly sweet as in some places and for a children's cone ($3.50) you get a HEAPING amount of ice cream in your cone; so save your money and go small. They do have some seating inside, but not too much, not like you really need to in a gorgeous little town like New Hope. The staff is super friendly, and is happy to let you try any flavor you want before committing. Just be warned that the ice cream shop is right next to that delicious little French bakery and you may need to stop into both (thank me later).

Aimee K.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream! There was no wait to be served on a Saturday night because they had about 8 young girls working behind the counter. They were extremely well staffed! They give you generous scoops of their homemade ice cream and sitting on their back patio in the shade was a nice, quiet way to relax and enjoy dessert. My only complaint is that the unisex bathroom was filthy. I'm sure they get a lot of non-customers using their restrooms; however, they had enough staff to spare one person to clean it every so often.

Jay L.

Yelp
This is the best ice cream I've ever had. It's so fresh, creamy and tasty. The owner are wonderful as well as well as the staff.

Shivani S.

Yelp
A cute little ice cream shop with so many flavors and toppings to choose from. I got a scoop of the chocolate rosemary. I really liked it as it was unique. Would love to see a chocolate habanero/chili flavor on their menu.

Cece K.

Yelp
Love this place! I believe it is a family owned business, all the workers are super nice and friendly. Prices aren't bad, it's the usual price for homemade ice cream nowadays. They don't gyp you on toppings at all like other places do! 2 scoop 2 topping sundae is the way to go!! They also have indoor and outdoor seating!

Chrissy O.

Yelp
This place is fine, really. I'm totally spoiled by Halo Farms so close, so I'm hard to impress, ice cream-wise. I ordered a cup of salted caramel, and my boyfriend got a milkshake -- the milkshake took the better part of 15 minutes to make. The server was working on it the whole time, so who knows -- maybe their equipment is slow? My ice cream tasted like vanilla, which was a total bummer given their "we make our ice cream here" boast and pretty steep price (over $5) for the cup. Zero caramel taste at all. If I wanted vanilla, it would have been fine. It was stinking hot that night, so the ice cream was a real treat, despite the long wait and, in my case, winding up with boring vanilla. There are other ice cream joints in New Hope and Lambertville, and we'll likely check out those places before/instead of heading back to Moo Hope.

Andrew R.

Yelp
skimpy portions of overpriced mediocre ice cream. Rude owners. I assumed they were owners. The only two non teenage girls working. Miserable and seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else. All business. If you're going to be out exchanging with the customers you should be a little friendlier and thankful that people are paying you for you're overpriced product. At least pretend. Place was kinda dirty and outside was dilapidated too. I'd be surprised if they stay open for long in a town with other options.

Nicole R.

Yelp
If I could give zero I would and I didnt even eat the ice cream. After standing on line for quite some time because I guess 2 employees assist you at once, I asked for a sample of two flavors from the male employee. Then the female employee asks what she could get me... I couldn't really hear her ...I explained that I was waiting for the sample and wasn't sure what I wanted...she mumbled something and I said she could take the people behind me if needed. She then threw her hands up and turned to the girls behind me, laughed, and rolled her eyes. I apologized to the male employee, said that the ice cream was great but it wasn't necessary for someone to be rude. I walked out. Not sure if an adult owner was there but you may want to let the young lady on today know that she could be more respectful.

Brianna I.

Yelp
Not worth the wait, the money, or the calories. Stale waffle cone and the ice cream wasn't great.

Drew G.

Yelp
This ice cream is average. I'm annoyed I even finished it because - calories. It's definitely not worth finishing. I came with three others and all of them agreed it's not good. Go buy a half gallon at your local grocery store -- you'll fare better. If I threw up the ice cream and then ate it again I'm nearly certain it would taste the exact same -- bad.
