Love this place!! The minute I walked in I felt like I was back at one of my favorite kbbq spots in Seoul. The restaurant tables were set up in a way that matched the vibes of the ones I went to in Korea. The ramen station and the side dishes really brought me back too. The pork jowl - omg so good! The waiters are great, super friendly and attentive and do their best to meet customers' needs.

Google
Their KBBQ selections were great, and the plating was visually appealing for the meats. Plenty of tables and the service was a bit slow for our big table. There was a variety of beef and chicken skewers available which was great

Google
We ordered from the Pot-lid Grill Menu and were pleased with the meat quality. However, the heavy thyme seasoning was overpowering and didn’t suit our taste. A menu note about this would help future guests make more informed choices, as the thyme flavor was strong and almost medicinal. Service was also lacking. Despite requesting the cast iron grill, the staff heated the regular grill and gave us an AYCE menu instead. After some confusion, we were given the correct grill and menu, but the server seemed unfamiliar with the cuts of meat, which impacted the experience. Overall, while the meat was good, the unclear seasoning and service missteps made our visit less enjoyable than it could have been.

Google
The food was very tasty and their customer service are very accomodating. Shoutout to Minsu and Chris, we came quite late but they still took a good care of us. I would definitely recommend this place if you host parties, group event. You guy will have a great time and stuffed your tummy with some good Korean bbq.

Google
Absolutely loved my experience!!!! Have tried a lot of KBBQ in the area and this is one of my favorites. It’s great for groups, more affordable than their competitors but just as tasty. The steamed egg and sauce options were my favorite. Went on a Sunday night and they were very busy. Service was efficient. Love having different pricing options and a simple menu. Will definitely be back!!

Google
Love this place, good variety of meat and sides. I prefer this place over gen simply because of the quality of service and food. Trung was an amazing server. Very attentive!!

Google
The cream corn is served in the aluminum cup, very sloppy. And the clay pot is chipped all around, is that even safe to eat with? I gave a 4 star on the food because the pork belly and bulgogi taste pretty decent.

Google
LARGE PORTIONS/GREAT VALUE/GOOD ATMOSPHERE: recently came here with a friend and had a great time. The meat portions were large and service was quick. Quality of meat was pretty decent and overall AYCE value is a steal. Their sides (fried rice, steam egg, corn cheese) were also delicious. You have to order banchan individually. Highly recommend to come in large groups.

Yelp
Wish there were half stars bc I feel like this place is a 3.5. And the only reason is that the side dishes were not good at all. A good Korean bbq has pretty good sides. Ample sides. I guess their egg is their signature panchan bc it looked pretty and full but it was funky tbh. It was huge but odd with cheese. The rest of their panchans were not good not even the kimchi this night so that's odd for a good Korean place. Their dukboki was so wrong and tomato saucy. So all those were off putting We got the ayce with the higher quality meats. And tbh I don't think it was worth it. Nice that I didn't have to pay bc it was my bday and I was being treated by my closest women friends but the meats all tasted the same if they weren't marinated so I couldn't tell if the steak was a better version than another meat. All I remember was the malnourished was pretty good. It was marinated. Hut the highlight of the whole meal actually is the ramen lol the cheapest thing ahh but making your own ramen was so fun and the machine does the work and times it perfectly so it tastes so good. Wish I had stomach room to try every single pack lol so bc of the ramen station I give it a 4! Otherwise place is kinda loud n kinda dark. Floors were a bit oily and since it's dark can't tell if the place is that clean or not. Service was ok: wished I ate more. It seemed like a fun place though. Lively. But again not sure if I'd go back since there were so many better Korean bbq places in town But glad I tried. Bc it's fun and heard the meat quality was good here. See for yourself!

Yelp
Food is ok, just your typical kbbq place but the service is something else. We made reservations for 6:30pm, showed up and were taken to a table that already had people seated at it. After the server/host moved the previous guests (which honestly wasn't necessary, we could've sat anywhere else, it wasn't very busy yet) we were seated. The service was slow and we tried calling the server multiple times using the call button with no response. We ended up having to flag someone down and I tried explaining that our call button was either not working or we didn't have someone assigned to our table/section. The server just dismissed our issue and asked if we were ready to order. Yes we were but we were still going to run into the same issue if we needed anything else. The rest of the evening ended up being us having to flag people down to get anything until finally a waitress decided to look into. I have no idea what changed but we ended up having our call button answered sparingly for the rest of the dinner since we were a big party, tip was included. $70 tip for prob the worst service I've had in a while...insane. Food: 4/5 Service: 0/5 Atmosphere: 4/5

Yelp
I think the restaurant has a cute gimmick. I wouldn't necessarily go back for the KBBQ, but it's good to try once. We went for the $39 KBBQ but it only had three seafood options so that was a deal breaker. The beef cuts were delicious and most were tender. The steamed egg was extremely addicting so be careful with that one. We didn't realize there was ramen until the end so we gave that a try but wished the server told us about it. If it's your birthday, they make you wear a hat, sing you a song, and give you Choco Pies. Super cute! The walls are decorated with universities across the nation (maybe just Texas but I can't remember now). It's definitely fun to try at least one. Do try the watermelon soju in a watermelon. Yum! If you care a lot about the quality of the meats, this isn't the place for you. If you want to have a good time and try something different, give Moodaepo a try.

Yelp
Walking in, it already smells delicious! Everyone is very friendly and quick to help you as you're going through your dining experience! Go, go, go!!! Everything we've had there has been just amazing!!! The steamed egg is the best I've had in Dallas so far! The meats are all top quality! As your cooking, they will change the grill out for you before your gets get covered in char! The dragon boba is a must try beverage! Haven't tried their licorice cocktails, but they looked delicious passing by! Who dormant love a good make your own ramen bar!!!

Yelp
Moodaepo is a great ayce option for kbbq. The quality of meat and side dishes are great! Service is a bit slow, but mainly because it seems they are still quite understaffed. Once the waiter comes to take your drink order, you should go ahead and order your meats to get the ball rolling for your table. They do have a make your own ramen Bar, but if the line is super long, and it takes forever. Other than that, all around good restaurant. Pretty chill environment during the week and party vibe on the weekends.

Yelp
Will to pay a little more for high quality meats. They give large portions too. When we went the vibes from all of the staff was weird though. As if they did not want to be there working, at least fake it. Always their bonchon is top tier too! I love their salad and they also serve the potatoes side dish which is my favorite! Most places don't serve it.

Yelp
This place is one of the best BBQ places I have tried. The food it self has 3 price ranges of all you can eat. If I recall correctly it was $24.99, $29,99 and $39,99, or something in that range. We went with the $29.99, and includes seafood the sirloin, pork belly, and chicken were delicious. They have soju, and imported beer. There is plenty of seating, for small and big parties. Each grill serves for about 4 people at the time. Service was incredible, the were always around and changed the grill very often. The place is very well located, and has plenty of parking.

Yelp
I LOVE MOODAEPO!!! Best KBBQ in DFW by far. I have never had a bad experience here. The food is perfect, the staff is nice and very attentive. It's rare that you'll have a burnt pan in front of you causing all that crazy smoke. The facilities are clean, and the food is decently priced for the quality you're getting. I really recommend their pork belly options, bulgogi, short rib- honestly anything here is good. They also have this wonderful kimchi chef so that is something you definitely don't want to go without trying here!
google avatar

Yelp
This is my favorite kbbq spot! It's a bit on the pricier side but I think the meat AND banchan quality here is unparalleled. My taste buds yearn for MDP. The service is always great because you can order with any of the servers and you don't need to wait on anyone specific. The food comes really fast and the grill changes are very prompt. The boneless short rib and fantastic fluffy steamed egg are my favorite!
google avatar

Marcella L.

Yelp
The first time I came here, it was great because we had several servers helping each table and a call system that they were very responsive to. However, two other times I've visited after that, the service was EXTREMELY slow. They are understaffed and there isn't any sense of urgency to respond to the call button. While the staff are very nice, they just don't seem to have any experience in food service. We ordered several things that never made it to the table. They also over charged our kids as adults, so I had to sort that out. The vibe is fun for a young or casual crowd, with music and dim lighting, and it is very colorful inside. Lots of TV's. But the ambience doesn't make up for the experience and I want so badly for this place to be the "it" place. Their other K food businesses are great, so I know they can improve.

Yelp
I will say I do sweat like crazy while in here. Maybe needs to be a little colder. BUT Food and service is 100%. The drinks were great as well, try the #7! I love the new Cajun pork, the ramen bar, and the steamed eggs. The staff is super friendly and attentive!

Yelp
Food was delicious! For dinner they have a $29 or $39 option. The difference is, the $39 has la galbi rib and some other meat choice so we opted for $29. We came as a party of 3 adults and had to wait about 15 mins for a table. The tables have vents that pull all the way down to suction almost right at the grill. The service seemed to slack as we sat and ate. We had to ask for a refill on water pitcher three times at one point, it seemed the longer we sat and ate, the more annoyed our server got. Ramen bar is a cute novelty, you add extra ingredients so taste depends on you. We enjoyed it. Music and music videos playing, very hard to hear with the sounds of the restaurant but the videos were nice to watch if you wanted. There are a lot of options listed for dessert like bingsu and crepe cake but unfortunately they were out of everything and only had ice cream so we passed on that. All in all it was $90 and we split 3 ways and was a great price, we left super satisfied!
google avatar

Adrian C.

Yelp
We went there to celebrate a friends birthday and reserved one of the rooms and there was about 30 to 40 people there so I don't understand a little bit on the Service side. They were a little slow taking our order and getting food out to us, but the food is really good, and the music was really cool and they also catered to his birthday so that part was really nice. I would recommend going there again, but probably not for a big crowd. The grills are larger than other places, which is nice cause you put more food on there to cook, we will return Sunday

Yelp
My favorite KBBQ place in Dallas! Have been here four times for their AYCE $25 lunch deal that is M-F before 3PM. Our favorite meats in order is spicy brisket, garlic pork belly, and brisket! Their banchan is consistent and tasty. The ramen bar is the best way to end your meal. Also love their variety of side dishes like steamed eggs and corn cheese included. Service is SPECTACULAR. The crew at Moodaepo is kind, quick and attentive. They met every single one of our needs (additional orders, banchan, new grill, etc.) almost immediately. The inside is super spacious and a refreshing look!

Yelp
Moodaepo is one of the trendier Korean BBQ spots, but frankly, it was my least favorite KBBQ experience. As we were waiting for the meats to arrive, I was snacking on some of the banchan. The cucumbers tasted rancid, and I immediately spit them out. The kimchi also tasted off. I love banchan (sometimes even more than the meat itself...), but the selection at Modaepoo did not wow me. KBBQ tends to be pretty hectic, so I don't expect the best service to begin with. However, it was extra difficult to flag down a server at this place. That being said, the meats were of decent quality. Overall, I don't see myself coming here again or recommending it to anyone as I think there are better and cheaper KBBQ spots out there.

Yelp
Ugh, I am a little conflicted with Moodaepo. It is definitely our #1 spot for AYCE KBBQ...but the service is slow and horrible. 5-star food but 1-star service. I usually care more about the food anyways and not too much about the service but my entire party of 6 did not have a great experience here because the service was so bad despite loving the food. We really like all the variety and cuts of meat they offer and you can tell the quality here is much higher than other AYCE joints. The boneless short rib is ridiculously good and the LA short rib here is great -- my two favorites here at Moodaepo. At other AYCE KBBQ places you tend to get plates of frozen slices of meats but here we just stay being impressed with the beef belly, beef brisket, pork belly... nothing frozen. They also have a whole ribeye steak on their menu! My party of 6 ordered like 3 steaks. It's hard to go back to other AYCE KBBQ restaurants when Moodaepo is here serving these premium cuts of beef. The egg soufflé here is my favorite! The variety of side dishes is great. They also offer a ramen bar where you can cook your own ramen! Sadly, the service is super slow. The restaurant was not that busy (not all the tables were full) but it took forever to get our orders of meat. They limit you to 4 orders at a time even if you have a bigger party like we did. We had 6 full grown adults sharing one grill and the food came out so slow there were many times we were just sitting around staring and waiting. It was also crazy that when we ordered LA short ribs for the table they would bring out ONE SHORT RIB FOR THE WHOLE TABLE. When we ordered shrimp...they brought out TWO SHRIMPS for the whole table. We had a party of SIX!!! We didn't even get any menus when they sat us down and we had to flag someone down for some. They also charged us a 20% gratuity on top of the total plus tax... usually you have an automatic gratuity charge if there's a party of 6 or more but the fact that they took 20% from the total PLUS tax when it's usually based on the pre-taxed total was wild when the service was horrible. You usually leave an AYCE place super full but my husband actually left hungry because they limit you to 90 minutes of dining but it took almost 30 minutes to get our first order of meats (with the second order taking almost as long). For $39/person (basically $50/person after tax and tip), everyone should be leaving stuffed but sadly that was not the case.

Yelp
I really like the Korean style decor. They have everything, industrial style hood fans, DIY Ramen noodles machines, red hot interior, and vegetables for grill or wrapping meats. I went for Monday to Thursday lunch specials $25 AYCE menu. I took off one star because the price doesn't include basic LA Gaibi. I will try the $29 dollar menu to sample more beef selections next time. The $25 dollar offer a lot pork options like belly in kimchi, garlic, or citron marinade. We loved all the meat cut we got and the beef brisket and beef belly are so juicy and crispy after right amount of grilling. I used the extra garlic sauce from pork belly to grill onion, spinach and oyster mushrooms and it turned out super tasty. Kimchi fried rice and steamed eggs are the bomb and we loved them so much. I appreciate Moodaepo for making such delicious side dishes. The steamed egg looks amazing visually and bubbling like an volcano.
google avatar

Jenn L.

Yelp
As someone who's very well-versed in KBBQ (and is also Korean), I was impressed by the variety offered, as well as the quality of the meat. The beef cuts were stunning, especially the boneless short rib. The marbling on the boneless short rib truly blew me away, and was my absolute favorite. I do have to note that the pork was very disappointing. Granted, we only ordered one thing from the pork selection (honeycomb-cut pork belly), but it was very tough and not enjoyable. Nonetheless the beef more than enough made up for the pork's lack, and some of the side dishes (steamed egg, bean paste soup) were were miles above what is typically served. Service was hit or miss but nothing egregious. I definitely foresee repeat visits in my future!

Yelp
I love coming here for kbbq! They have a lot of seating, very spacious for big or small groups. The meat here is very good quality, & they have a large variety of side dishes that are also delicious. I love that there is a vent directly above your grill to suck up the smoke it just makes the grilling experience more pleasant. The workers are very good about making sure your grill gets changed frequently they really pay attention & have a friendly attitude. I appreciate our server for recommending some of his favorite meats to us bc the menu has a lot to choose. I tried the corn cheese it comes in an individual size tin that melts the cheese on the grill it's really cheesy kinda sweet I liked it. They also have an instant ramen cooker with a toppings bar you can bring your ramen to your table and eat it with the bbq too!

Yelp
I came here for dinner because my friend wanted to try the watermelon soju. We had a party of 5. Us 2 adults, 1 kid, and 2 toddlers. Moodaepo meat quality is good, but definitely not for the price tag. We definitely don't mind spending money eating, but between us, our bill was almost $300 including gratuity. We've been to a lot of AYCE and my two toddlers never get charged but here they charge for 4 years old. 4 years old don't eat that much to be getting charged $25 plus tax. Watermelon Soju: If you want watermelon juice only, this is it. It's tasty, don't get me wrong. And it had a watermelon popsicle too! It just barely had any soju in it. We wanted to order a big watermelon and share, but the waiter told us watermelon isn't in season right now so they only have small watermelons. We got 2 for $25 each. Hmmm...it's definitely almost watermelon season though, I just bought a big one from the grocery store. If you want juice, order it! But if you want to actually feel the alcohol, I don't recommend. Meat quality: It's actually pretty good. They were definitely generous with all the thinly sliced meat, but when it came to the LA Galbi, they were giving us one piece per order. They were also generous with the banchan, but definitely not the best we've had. The steam eggs and tofu soup was pretty good though! Oh, the cheese corn was good but the portion is definitely a joke. Literally less than a spoon in each tin. Crepe cake: My kids wanted the crepe cake. Why not? What's another $9 lol. I do not recommend. It was dry. They didn't even like it. Ambiance: The place is definitely nice! I love how they can pull their vents down so you don't end up smelling like kbbq after you leave. They also have a ramen bar! But we didn't try. Moodaepo was decent but would I come back? Negative. Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 5/5

Yelp
After looking at the yelp rating I was very reluctant to eat here. But, I am so freaking happy I did! Didn't eat the AYCE, we instead ordered a galbi jim at $49 (kinda expensive but once you try it you know why, delicious!), mul naengmyeon ( it's the cold arrowroot noodle soup) and last but certainly not least, a perilla leaf kalguksu. Thick, pure sesame broth full of umami. This last dish was so delicious, everything was outstanding. You order at the kiosk electronically, and sit down in the separate area right when you enter and wait. Highly recommend! Wish I took pics, next time.

Yelp
Pros: Ambience is nice and overall meal was good. The robot bringing the food was super cute. Food came out relatively fast from when we first place the order! Cons: you do have to flag down the server most of the time if you want additional side, salads, or meats, which can get annoying. If you're over 11, the price is $40 per person which is more expensive than the other kbbq near by and can be more when you add in alcohol. The first round we got pretty small portions of meats and sides
google avatar

Christa M.

Yelp
If you can eat a lot, this place is worth it. My hub and I were invited by friends for a birthday celebration. It was our first time eating here. The table comes with little snacks to start with. There is also a small buffet with onions, mushrooms, cabbage and eggs. Also several stations to heat ramen. A human takes your order for the raw meats and a robot serves them to you. You then cook everything on your cooktop. There is 1 cooktop per every table of 4. Many times throughout cooking, a server comes to replace the cooktop with a clean one. This tends to get annoying because you have to scrape your partially cooked meats onto the new cook top, then wait for the new cooktop to heat up in order to continue cooking your meats. The meats are preseasoned and all tastes great. The music was a bit loud, so very difficult to have conversation.

Yelp
Staright to the point with this review, and not in a negative way. Meats- The selection here is pretty decent. They have selections from beef, pork, chicken and seafood. We ate 95% beef and some pork belly as most of the table was in a mood for beef. Started out with the standard brisket and beef belly, which in my opinion is my standard set of go to meats for KBBQ. The Brisket and Beef belly were on point tonight. What I would say stole the show was their LA Galbi, Bulgogi and their marinated sirloin. The marinades for each one was very delicious and was very easy to cook with. I didn't have to worry about to the thick and gooey marinade like other places which usually end up caking and over-charring, which just flat out kills it. Flavor wise, the marinades blended perfectly with the decent tender cuts of beef. Of the three mentioned above, my favorite of the trio was their La Galbi, followed by their bulgogi and their Sirloin. Definite repeats of the night as well since everyone enjoyed it Banchan- they had pretty delicious standard Banchan. The Kimchi was delicious and I really enjoyed their potato salad! Service- contrary to what others have mentioned, the service wasn't bad for my group. The staff was very attentive and I also enjoyed their quickness in changing the grill plates. I never had to ask for a grill change because they always came by at the perfect time. Price- yes $39 per head can be a bit pricey compared to other AYCE korean bbq places. I would say it was worth the price of admission and the food wasn't too bad. Remember, you get what you pay for! But to my defense, there is the cheap-o KBBQ places and the more upitty ones. I would say choose between Cheap-o if you're ballin on a budget, but splurge when you can because overall it wasn't too bad here. Honorable Mentions *Self Serve K-Ramen bar is a nice inclusion for their AYCE, which is a pretty cool gimmick if you like K-Ramen. I didn't have any this trip, but I would definitely check it out next time so long as I'm in the mood for it. *Grill issue- my side of the group's grill was somewhat slow cooking with the heat turned up. Must have been a burner issue that has to be addressed. The other half of the group just kept having issues the whole night controlling the temp and it resulted in quite a bit of burnt meats. Employees had to keep tinkering with it frequently the whole night. *Robot tray- cool robot the staff loaded meats on to when bringing to the table. Ambience- cool spotlights for dinner with different colors and it was like a Kpop concert in there, minus the actual performers. It promoted a fun environment to chill out and grub. I would definitely come back here for KBBQ again when I crave KBBQ.

Yelp
There are over 50 choices of meats, sides, etc. to pick from for dinner. Although the dinner price is a bit much compared to other KBBQ in DFW, I say it's well worth it, so come hungry and ready to grub! When you're seated, the bonchan is already on the table along with a big bowl of salad. You're welcome to ask for refills on these and order more sides from the menu, such as the kimchi fried rice. If you're looking for a smaller portion, be sure to let the server know so they can bring lesser meats, rice, etc. for that serving. I recommend ordering the steamed eggs. It's super fluffy and big enough to feed two. There are non-alcoholic to alcoholic drinks you can order, as well as some special desserts, but there is an additional charge for these. They sell "boba" drinks but no actual tapioca as a topping.. only "popping boba," which I hope changes in the future. The wait time can get long on the weekends, however, we were seated immediately on a Friday evening. The place is big and it is pretty loud in there, especially with a full house. They will do fun birthday shoutouts and play a song over the speakers for you and your party. You'll even get to wear a birthday cake hat for the time being. My favorite KBBQ thus far!

Jess A.

Yelp
I'm tried many, many, KBBQ places in this area. To date, my go-to choice was Omi, with the now-closed Gui-Rock second. Moodaepo has unseated Omi, which is no easy feat. The meat options are very expansive, and the banchan is amazing. I personally go to KBBQ for more than just the meat, I love all of the sides and it feels like a lot of places dumb it down. Moodaepo does not, from the kimchi to the steamed egg, everything is great. The drinks are also kinda hilarious. We love getting the half watermelon blitzed with soju, it's great to split with a group. Watermelon, soju, what's not to love?

Emily N.

Yelp
I decided to give Moodaepo a try after seeing the summer specials. The summer special does not include galbi btw. The ramen bar was pretty cool and i loved the steamed egg. There is a robot server that brings out the slices of meat. Although I loved the ambiance of this restaurant, I felt like it was not worth $39 per person. I expected more from moodaepo considering the fact that the price point is higher than its competitors.

Yelp
Came in for lunch and was seated almost immediately. The sides were a bit limited, but all the essentials were there (radish wrap included!). They don't start you off with a whole lot, but you can always request more. The quality of the meat is good for AYCE. Really enjoyed the steamed egg (lol, I know, it's not the star of the show but oh well). Service was a bit slower, but when you do get service its good service. If your grill is getting lit (in not the good way), they are watching and will jump in to assist. They're also super good about changing the grills. Pretty good ventilation too! Though not my favorite place, I would put it into my regular kbbq rotation.

Yelp
This spot is fun, loud, with great food and robot waiters! The ramen bar is a nice addition but I'm really here for the meats- which they have lots of! While I do prefer spots where you go grab the meat yourself-this spot brings you your meat fast and by a robot! They also have select boba for an added fee and select sweets. Although I've gone here three times already and they have never had bingsoo available even tho it's on the menu. And of all the banchan-the enormous steamed egg is the best! Also when you order the intestine, they just give you a 6 inch stick of guts instead of one that's all cut up. I love it!

Yelp
Food is definitely worth more stars but like many other reviews it's the service that's lacking here but that's only because they are so short staffed and literally having to run around everywhere so they tell you when you get seated to call them down if you need anything. I had no problem with doing that but I can see how it can get annoying to some people. I really enjoyed the quality of the meats here. It's way better then the other ayce places for sure but it is a bit more pricy. The favorites out of the menu has to be the #12 rib meat, beef tongue, galbi, and the steamed egg. There's a make your own ramen bar which is very cool and fun to do but you get so full so it's only good with a big group so you can make one to share it everyone. They do have a lunch special but it is missing a lot of my favorite items so I wouldn't really try that unless I was craving pork which is really rare for me.

Yelp
Came with a party of 8 for lunch. Got the AYCE weekend pricing for $39 per person. The menu is like any KBBQ restaurant and the quality was good. There's a small self service area where you can also make ramen and get vegetables to grill (which is a little cramped, so you gotta reach to get certain foods). Music was a bit loud for lunch time, so was hard to hear people talk. Service was great at first, but they seemed to be short staffed once it got busy.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this new kbbq place! I've heard they were popular elsewhere, but glad they opened up a location in the Carrollton area. They also have a ramen station and dessert bar. They do both AYCE and a la carte meats. Love the amount of options they offer. There is more than plenty meats and sides. All their banchan dishes were delicious too. The quality of their meats were some of the best in DFW. They were super busy for dinner, but we were seated in no time. It was a little hard to get our server's attention, but luckily there is plenty of them walking around to help. Once you put your order in, the meats and sides come out in no time at all. Service was friendly and fast. We were so full from the kbbq, but had to finish off with the ramen. Perfect ending to our meal! Next time we will have to try the dessert bar! Loved the vibes and aesthetic of the place. Definitely recommend this place! 5/5!! We will definitely be returning!

Yelp
My favorite kbbq spot in Dallas. AYCE for a fair price for lunch and dinner. Some of my favorite japchae and Bulgogi! Service could be more attentive but staff are friendly and always get orders right. Love the bright red tables

Yelp
Change is good. I've been eating at the same Korean BBQ joints over and over for the past two years. It's about time to switch things up and check out all that hype at Moodaepo. I was afraid of the wait time given how popular this place has been. Arriving right at noon on a Sunday, my hubby and I happened to be the first hungry customers there. Surprisingly, there was no preformed line or waiting list. We were seated immediately. The waiter shortly went over to explain the menu. They have AYCE for $39 per person. You also have the option of ordering a la carte, which includes their pricey premium meat. The tables were pretty spacious for the two of us. I sat right in front of the grill. If you are sensitive to heat, I suggest sitting on the side as that grill can get uncomfortably hot really quick. We tried garlic pork belly, ribeye steak, brisket, brisket bulgogi, etc. Honestly, the meat quality was just middle-of-the-road. The highlight was cooking up my ramen at the station. Now that's different! Shin Ramyun Noodles with Korean BBQ is simply the perfect pairing!!! Since it was not a full house while we were dining, the service was attentive. There was someone circulating the tables to constantly change out our grills. It was not hard to track someone down when we wanted to place another order. There's a pitcher of water already available at the table, so we didn't have to ask for refills. Music was also not as loud during lunchtime. We enjoyed watching K-pop girl group videos while chowing down. Overall, I will mostly be back if I'm hanging out late at night with a group of friends. It's a great place to mingle. I would rather go a la carte style and get more quality meat in the future. As cliche as it sounds, quality over quantity since there's not a lot of room in my stomach for AYCE.

Yelp
Went here on a weekday and was super excited for a new AYCE KBBQ joint from Cali. Given all the hype I was expecting good service and meat options, and overall it was very disappointing. Ambiance: new and nice grills and suction fans so we were super excited! Service: not great - Very slow to get attention even though there weren't that many customers. Took us 15 minutes just to get our first batch of raw meat. + The cool side was that they had a delivery robot + The Hispanic guy replacing the grills was very attentive - There was no way to enter your own order nor flag the waiter - They failed my water refill test Food: only got the beef and they were overly lean... Also was disappointed they didn't have galbi. Maybe because it was lunch? - tongue was lean, dry and tough - brisket was sliced large and also lean, dry and tough - spicy brisket tasted more like a bulgogi - seasoned steak was also lean, dry and tough + Beef belly was ok but not as melt in your mouth like Gen BBQ Had high hopes and sadly probably will never go back.

Yelp
One of the best kbbq experiences I've ever had and I've been to many places in Texas, NYC, and LA! Service was excellent. Employees and managers were constantly keeping track of the grills and switching them out. Water was kept full. Everyone was friendly. We had a super sweet Ajumma literally running to refill our banchan. Meat quality was superb. Our favorite cuts were the LA short rib, boneless short rib, and ribeye. Ambience was great and lively. We went for dinner which was $39 per person. We went with a party of 5 and 20% tip was included in the final bill - very reasonable for the service we got. There was a self service veggie bar and ramen bar if for some reason the meat isn't enough. Can't speak highly enough. Best kbbq place in Dallas hands down!

Yelp
Honestly the best AYCE kbbq place ever. The quality of the meat is the best you can come across in ayce, the unlimited side dishes including the BEST steamed egg bomb and make your own ramen bar. The service is also quick and easy because the servers walk around continuously to serve all your needs. If you're not up for ayce, you can also order per meat, which the quality of meat upgrades even more (obviously lol). But either one, they are both so good and yes I can say this because I have tried both. They also have a mini cafe section to the restaurant which used to be the Iota cafe and they sell macarons, crepe cake and some cafe drinks (milk tea, tea, smoothies). The restaurant has a mixture of Korean+American vibe, dimmed light and loud music. If I were to recommend any ayce kbbq place, this would be it!!

Yelp
Been here twice. I love a kbbq place you can easily get reservations at. Be sure to call online to reserve. Their online reservation system sucks Service here is bad. It's hard to get their attention as they are so busy but they don't forget to bring your order or anything. They just forget to check up on you or even make sure you have plates to behind with Good variety and selection of meat. Good quality to for AYCE. I'd consider this the best of the AYCE places but if you're looking for better quality meat, just go to an a la carte place obvs

Yelp
This is the new hype AYCE KBBQ in Dallas, so of course, I had to stop by! I stopped being a fan of AYCE KBBQ after a bad experience with Gen, and I prefer quality KBBQ more (Ari/Burnin92). However, I decided to give Moodaepo a try because they offer "high quality" meats for a fixed price of $39. First, $39 is quite a high price tag. It's $10+ more compared to other AYCE places in the area (Gen, Omi, Manna, etc). If you can eat a lot, then it's worth it, but if you're trying KBBQ for the first time, then maybe not. I see that they charge $29 for kids, which is ridiculously high for someone who can't eat a lot. I think kids' prices should be $15 max. I called to check if they offer AYCE before 5 PM, and they said yes. We came in around 3 PM on a Saturday, and it took about 5 mins for us to talk to someone. The host took down our names and said it would be a 35-45 mins wait. She said they'll text us when our table is ready so we left to go shopping for a bit. After 30 mins, we received a text saying please check-in. We came after 5 mins, and it took 10 mins for someone to acknowledge us. We noticed the owner walking back and forth, but he didn't even bother to take a look at our party of 3 or other guests who were waiting in the lobby area. Of course, he's probably busy talking to the workers but I heard him yell the host's name across the restaurant and I was like "heh... that's kinda rude". Either way, she checked us in and brought us to the table. We sat down at 3:45 PM, it was right after lunch and before the dinner rush. She came back with our drinks and apologized that service is slow due to low staffing, and to be aware of that. I asked if we can order our meats first, and she said sure, but she's not our waiter. She took our order down and I ordered 8 different types of meat just so we have a good amount to start with. We started eating the side dishes, which are pretty basic but they do have a variety. They also have a refillable side dishes bar if you want to grab more kimchi or fish cakes. We estimated that it would take about 10 mins for the meats to arrive, but 4 mins later, a cute little robot came rolling with all our meats. I was surprised at how fast the service was, at least for the meats to come out. However, our table didn't have any sauce tray, and we had to turn on the stove ourselves. The meats were pretty high quality and my boyfriend said it's the best KBBQ he has eaten in Dallas. He said some cuts were better than Ari which I do agree with, especially how much more we get here. We didn't get any seasoned meats, because we wanted to focus on the meat quality themselves. I like the boneless short ribs the most, but their brisket, beef tongue, pork jowl, and bulgogi are pretty good too. Their steamed egg is HUGE, but it was pretty salty. Their corn cheese was disappointing. It came in a small metal tray with corn and mozzarella cheese on top, and we put it on the grill hoping it'll melt correctly. It was hard and not what we expected for corn cheese... Nobody checked on us the entire time unless I get up and pull over someone. We were out of the water and we didn't get our water refilled for 10+ mins. We sat by the wall, so nobody came over to that side besides the robot delivering food. Halfway through, I asked for sesame oil and the server was like "oh, you guys don't have sauce trays yet?". He came back with our sauce trays but I wish they walked by to check on that. I had to get up and call on someone every time we wanted to order more meats or change the grill. For a premium price of $39, I really hope they'll improve their service. I came in expecting slow service, but having to get up multiple times to reach someone can be quite annoying. Their ramen bar is interesting, but they don't restock it enough. There were only Shin and Jin ramen available, but when my sister went during their event on opening week, they had more brands available. They offer these ramen carts to put your pot on to push to your table, but I never saw anyone using them. We went up when nobody was there and since the restaurant wasn't crazy packed around 4:15 PM, we walked back holding the pot carefully. Overall, I do enjoy their high-quality meats, but their service needs to be improved. The owner should also be greeting customers at the door instead of making eye contact and turning his head around. I tried to pull him over to say that we were checking in but he just turned and walked to the back. I'll give it another try when my friends visit, and hopefully, the service will improve by then.

Yelp
After wanting to try Moodaepo for a long time I finally got to. I can honestly say I really enjoyed it! We went around 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon, so it wasn't busy at all. Our waiter was attentive, and we never went long without meat. You can order 4 meats at a time. All of the meats we tried were delicious! The pork jowl was my absolute favorite. I think we ended up ordering 3 helpings of it. The only one we didn't love was the octopus, but we probably over cooked it since it was rubbery. There were so many different options on the dinner menu I want to go back to try more of it. I also really loved that they had a self help bar to get lettuce wraps and sliced garlic. Some of the reviews on here aren't great, but don't let that stop you from trying this place! It's well worth the price! We'll back for sure!

Yelp
Was excited to check this place out after all of its great marketing! Upon entering, the atmosphere was cool and the place seemed huge!! It took about ~5-10 minutes for somebody to even notice we were waiting to get seated. We had to go looking around confused for any type of assistance and were overlooked by many workers walking past. There were also other ppl waiting like us. It then took some more waiting after to even get seated despite so many empty tables (staffing issue for sure) Some cool things we loved was the self serve ramen bar and robot waiters that delivered the meat. Service was slow and most of our time at the restaurant consisted of waiting. You do have to order with an actual person before receiving the meat from the robot. The meat itself was pretty good (highly recommend the boneless short rib) but portions were small which w alright given that it's AYCE ($39 big ooooof) Steamed egg was huge and tasty! You do have to order with an actual person before receiving the meat from the robot. I wish they would've also oiled the grate/grill because our meat always stuck to it and we had to replace it often as it charred up quick. Personally, the price with the experience wasn't worth it to me. The watermelon soju was also so expensive and just taste like straight up watermelon juice. It was definitely fun to check it out though! The sides were pretty good but nobody was able to help refill any of them.

Yelp
Very good! The kettle lid area at the front (not AYCE) has better meats, and you get the Kimchi fried rice at the end of the meal, just like in Korea. All meats including the aged pork belly, and boneless short ribs were top quality. IMO this is the closest pork belly (Samgyeopsal) you will get to actually being in Korea in this area.

Yelp
So excited... Moodaepo in Texas! We did an Eat All you can. So... we ate ribeye, LA shortrib, beef small intestine, pork belly, beef tongue. The quality of meat they serve is good . We also ordered corn cheese, steamed egg, bean paste soup, and kimchi soup. There's a station that you can cook ramen and you can eat all the ramen you want. We chose to eat more meat than carbs :) They had robots deliver your meats to the table.Cool! Service was good. We will be back, for sure.

Yelp
Opted for Moodaepo Korean BBQ as my first All You Can Eat Korean BBQ experience in Dallas. Did I make a good choice? I would say YES! It was definitely one of my favorite AYCE BBQs. The vibes were giving an outdoor, open Korean restaurant feel--big enough to seat a lot of people while providing ample space for each party to enjoy themselves. I loved that they gave us a whole piece of ribeye steak and had many good side items with lots of great options (as seen in the photo below). One thing that stood out was the ramen noodles packet station. It's a TRAP to ensure you're full, and I fell for it, making myself a bowl of ramen. They had a wide meat selection, and every meat was well-seasoned, not just a boring piece. We also ordered the watermelon soju, highly recommended to wash everything down. It was a good amount and made for a great night. The service was excellent; the staff quickly cleaned everything and took good care of us. Overall, I love the experience and would recommend Moodaepo Korean BBQ to everyone.

Yelp
We went here for dinner on a weekend and it was super packed, but the vibes were definitely fun. The service was not the best, since they didn't really check up on us and we tried making eye contact with multiple servers to place our order, but they still didn't notice us. We ended up only getting to order 2 times. For AYCE, the meat quality is good, but it was lacking some flavor. The bulgogi and LA galbi could have been seasoned more and I've had better at other kbbq spots. There was good banchan options, but again not the best I've had. The steamed egg may have been the best tasting thing we had and it was super fluffy. Overall for the price, I was expecting a bit more....I would maybe come back to celebrate a birthday, as they blast happy birthday music throughout the restaurant and it's super fun.
