Moomers Homemade Ice Cream

A true traditional ice cream shop where everything is made from scratch (literally from the cow to the milk to the ice cream). The flavors are rich, fresh, and you can really taste the quality of the milk. They offer a wide variety of flavors, and the service is excellent. Even with a long line, it only took about 5-10 minutes to place our order. I loved that they have QR codes set up in the waiting area, so by the time you reach the counter, you already know what you want. You can enjoy your ice cream in a cake cone, waffle cone, or cup, and if you want to sample more, the flight option (five flavors of your choice) is a must-try.

As a first timer to Traverse City, Moomers was recommended to me as a must try ice cream shop. When I arrived the line was wrapped around the building but I quickly made it to the front to order! The staff were friendly and kind, and getting my ice cream was very efficient. I ordered mint chocolate chip ice cream and it was full of mini chocolate chip pieces, which was amazing! They had a wide selection of flavors to choose from which is great for a variety of customers. The view of the pasture from the ice cream shop was such a peaceful addition to the ambiance as well. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Traverse City!

Moomers Homemade Ice Cream is such a great spot just outside Traverse City! They have a huge variety of flavors, and every one we tried was absolutely delicious. If you visit during the fall, definitely try the Pumpkin Spice flavor, it was my favorite and perfect for the season. All of their ice creams are creamy, rich, and full of flavor. It’s easy to see why this place is so popular, a must-visit for any ice cream lover in the area!

Super cool place to visit. Get ice cream and see all of the cows! There was a huge line but goes very fast. They had everyone's cones in our group done before I even paid. The ice cream flight was definitely worth it to try all the great flavors! Fav flavors: Cherry, cookies and cream, supermoo for the kids Other really good ones: banana bread (real chunks of banana bread), sea salt carmel, and rocky road. Overall great place to visit!!🐄🍦

This ice cream was absolutely delicious. A smooth and creamy mix with fun flavors that worked very well with each other. I had the Peanut Butter Oreo and the Cherry Mobile. The PB Oreo is must for peanut butter chocolate fans. Or Parent Trap. You decide. Cute little shop on the main thoroughfare of Mackinac Island, a must stop during your stay!

Very good place around Traverse City Michigan to get homemade ice cream. Line was long but goes pretty quickly. Kids & adults both like ice cream, lots of offerings. A little pricey for ice cream & not a lot of indoor seating. Drinking water available for free. Would be really special if they did more with the cherries from the area-special types of milkshakes, toppings,various ice creams etc. They did have one ice cream cherry selection, which was good! Another suggestion is to offer demonstrations on how ice cream is made,the history of ice cream, etc. this would be of interest to everyone!

Delicious & creamy ice cream with really yummy flavors like peanut butter Oreo, chocolate peanut butter cup, and Moomers cherry brownie. Healthy servings at a reasonable price! AND you get the pleasure of seeing the cute calves come out to play and eat! 😍 Lots of good outdoor seating, and some indoors. Can't wait to return again!
