9 of the Best Places for Pizza in Jacksonville | Eater Miami

"Pizza and beer are the stars of the show at Moon Dog Pie House. The fun pizza joint is known for its specialty pizzas that can be made as a New York-style pizza or a Chicago-style pie. A few fan favorite options are the Cuban pizza which piles on all of the traditional sandwich toppings onto a pizza crust with Cuban mustard sauce, and the Hawaiian Farmer, which has ham, pineapple, and some shredded coconut for a tropical twist. Moon Dog also boasts a wide variety of local beers, with brews from Intuition Ale Works, Pinglehead Brewing Company, and Veterans United Craft Brewery."

Google
Zach rocked it!! Fantastic service, great suggestion for my cauliflower margarita pie and kept our drinks full!! Mom got 2 slices of Pizza and they were HUGE!! Delicious, oh and LOVED the genre of 80’s-90’s pop!! Highly Recommend and we WILL be back!!

Google
Loved the funky atmosphere. Our server Zach, he offered great customer service, very attentive, knew the menu well with suggestions. The food was yummy! We started with zucchini fries & cheese bread. Followed by a large pepperoni pizza, a meatball sub seasoned really well & the Windy City sub with tasty au jui . I can’t bc wait to go back; I hear the wings are the best!

Google
Took a little to sit down, but it was a youth baseball game that was celebrating. We wanted the Chicago deep dish, and it did not disappoint. Samantha was great and quick, and checked on us, even though it was super busy. Cant wait to come back. Thanks guys

I’ve walked past this business but never stopped in. But now, I’m so very glad I did. The NY pizza is exactly how I had it in New York. Ordered the thin crust slices but had no idea how big it was. I had more than enough to enjoy. The service was top-notch! Not only from the server but also from the Manager. My compliments to all the staff for making the experience magical! Absolutely ♥️♥️♥️ the ambiance - reminded me of Woodstock, NY. All and all, I give Moon Dog Pie an A++++

Google
Can here in a Saturday night for the first time with my family and I. The service was impeccable. Our server was super sweet and very helpful. I love the fact that they box up your food go you instead of just handing you boxes to do it yourself. The wings were the best wings I’ve had in the state of Florida. They’re cooked to perfection. Perfectly crispy and cooked just right, I don’t have any pictures because my family and I at them too quickly. We also got cheesy bread, a Chicago style pizza and the NY style. Everything g was phenomenal. The Chicago style was particularly fantastic, This is my. We favorite spot. Just for the wings alone! Great job!

Google
One of the best pizza places in the five counties. This place is so underrated it's a crime. The pizza is top notch. The prices are fair. They have great meatballs and meatball subs. The Planet Pepperoni Bread is one of the best things on the menu. I have no idea how other people would prefer other places over this.

Google
The service is really good at the restaurant. We just happened to wander into it and I like all the little cute sayings on the wall in chalk by an artist. The FOOD however, is very very mediocre and plain the pizza barely had the cheese melted on the top and the ingredients were just like something I’d make out of a Chef Boyardee Box 📦. I would say on a scale of one to 10 the pizza gets a one! I’m sorry to say I cannot recommend the restaurant and it’s a little pricey for the terrible food. The Diet Coke was good!

Virginia W.

Google
Our server Susie was fantastic 👏!! She was very knowledgeable and even made me a cherry Coke (not on the menu). Definitely recommend the free bird calzone and the Alfredo sauce! Yum yum!

Yelp
First time ever visiting and dining at Moondog Pizza House! Pretty good crowd for a Wednesday, but not overcrowded. Started off with the Wednesday special, 10 chicken wings for $10. Probably some of the best chicken wings I've had in this entire area, hands-down! Extremely large drums that were perfectly coded with my chosen sauce! Flats were also very large. I also tried a slice of their cheese pizza just to see how it was. Extremely large slice, thin crust cooked perfectly! Really good flavor! Can't wait to try some other other specialty pies like the Chicago deep dish, pizza style! Being from Northwest Indiana, which is extremely close to Chicago, I opted for the Italian beef sandwich. It was as good as you're going to get without flying to O'Hare on a winter day! Great brisket, excellent roll like it had just been baked and pulled out of the oven! And the OU was fantastic! Will definitely be coming back for another one of these! My wife got a chicken calzone which was gigantic and really, really good! The place filled up pretty fast and got pretty busy, but our waitress and the entire staff did an excellent job getting people seated quickly and getting their drink and food orders in. I will definitely be returning to this place in the near future. One of my top pics in the Mandarin area, for sure! If you haven't ever paid a visit to Moondog pie house, do yourself a favor and give it a try! I really doubt if you'll be disappointed!

Yelp
V's pizza is better, extremely long wait times await you here. This is my second time at Moon Dog Pie house and the first for this location.... The day we happened to come they were slammed with people. The interior had a skate- board punk vibe to the place. I sat down and orderd a pizza and it took over an hour to arrive to the tables. I ordered the Goat pizza and the Shroom pizza.... First off the pizza waaay took so long to get to the table. It was not worth the wait whatsoever. I still don't know what peoples obsession is with this place. They must just love waiting in extremely long time for food. I don't know what type of cheese they use on their pizza either but it's a very rubbery type of cheese. It definitely didn't taste like mozzarella. Between the disgusting cheese and the bread it took forever to eat one piece. I ordered two 10 inch pizzas and they look like the crusts were frozen not the hand tossed quality you get down the road at V's pizza. The pizza crust here is extremely dense and you can only eat one slice maybe a half of another one and you're already full.... If the crust was hand tossed and made to order, it would be light fluffy and airy not a ton of bread. On a good note, they took so long with the delivery of the food to the table that the waitress started comping us for the food because it was taking so long coming out of the kitchen. **Overall, they claim the pizza is fresh made to order, yet the crust is not hand tossed. Get ready to wait for an eternity. If you come here. This is a second bad experience at a completely different location for the same business. I will not be back.

Yelp
Trivia Tuesday nights! The pizza was good, but the zucchini fries were delicious pretty chill atmosphere. Not a lot of beer options. Service was friendly and attentive. Would come back again, this time for the $1 wings on Wed
google avatar

Yelp
Panini was delicious. Definitely enough to share especially if you order a salad before hand. Love the lunch specials. Cool atmosphere and good service. This location has a great patio with fans as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Got some wings and zucchini fries to enjoy at 2nd bay brewing. They were nice and crispy, good flavoring. Zucchini fries were a great paring with our beers! Can't wait to try the pizzas...once I'm off the "diet".

Yelp
Very nice casual vibe and decor. Seated with a very informative host and immediately took drink order and presented very informative & well laid out menus and told us the specials. Unfortunately went a bit sideways from there ( 86ed the Italian sausage with peppers & onions). Apparently he was assisting the only server in the middle of lunch hour in a very busy pizza shop and cover the counter and door. The server was fighting for life, but did not give up. Good job. Now the main event, the 2 slice special. Looked good and as David Portnoy says "No Flop"! The salami diameter pepperoni slices immediately drew my attention as well as sliced "Italian Sausage "? There was no taste of the sauce or any other of the ingredients. I had such high hopes on the many recommendations I have got from friends. Saving grace was the thin crunchy crust. I would come back and try one of their sandwiches.

Sophie B.

Yelp
Food could have been better didn't taste too good, had to send back certain food all in all won't be going back.

Katherine L.

Yelp
#1 Do not order an appetizer to come out with your entree. They charge it as a full-size entree. I've done this before and was NEVER charged for a second entree. #2 The restaurant was empty. The waitress was behind the counter. It took her a full five minutes to look up and acknowledge me AFTER the cook in the kitchen told her I was there. #3 She had three tables on the patio. I can't speak for one of the tables, but I sat there so long waiting for her to come out with the check that I considered leaving, which would have been very easy because the patio has an exit to the street, and I could see she wasn't in the restaurant. Of course I didn't. I got up, went inside, and got myself a to-go box. THEN she saw me and gave me the check, Dinner yes. Late lunch. No.

Yelp
We were excited to try this spot. My daughter can't have dairy but my son and husband wanted a pizza night so I loved that there were many dinner options. We came on a Friday night at 6pm and it was full. Thankfully we got seated right away, the hostess was very nice. Our waitress was sweet and helpful. The decor was fun and wild. We ordered a cheese pizza, mushroom pepperoni, and the goat cheese pesto pizza. It was good, solid 4/5. I felt the pesto was a little too potent, so it was hard to eat. The desserts looked good, maybe next time.

Yelp
We were so disappointed today we have eaten here for the last 6 yrs. I got the same thing I always get the coos-coos Cuban . One piece of ham no cheese and a small amount of pork. I was told by the manger they aren't making them fresh anymore. Service was poor as well. Eating out is to expensive for poor service and bad food

Andrew P.

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere and the slice of pizza is a big slice. Well worth the price. Beer selection is also good and service is top notch.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this pizza place. Being on a lower carb diet, I was worried about coming here for a work gathering. But I became immediately happy when I saw they had a delicious cauliflower crust option! I tried a taste of regular pizza, as well as their pepperoni bread and thought the cauliflower crust pizza was better! Super crispy on the edges and thin. The thinness was actually nice because it didn't take away from the toppings and you didn't fill up too quickly. It was also packed full of flavor. The waitress was awesome and provided a copy of the nutritional information. I hope this can help others that are watching their nutritional intake. My coworker is more strict on the carbs, so he gasped when he saw the crust information. But honestly, he said it was so delicious, he didn't care and would eat it again. Can't get a better compliment then that. We will be back for sure.

Yelp
I went and was ignored for the longest time, finally I got help and ordered. The large pizza came out undercooked, and when I brought it to the manager's attention he seemed annoyed and refused to refund my money because he said he didn't have time. It's important to hire diversity also, we live in Florida full of a multitude of ethnicity's however this establishment only hires European Americans. There's lots of better pizza places around, this is not one of them.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place for kids! Some of the food seems pre-made, but the pizza is always fresh. Very friendly staff.

Yelp
First time visit and Had a fantastic experience with Mackenzie M! We friend and I took a while to decide what we wanted and she was attentive and helpful with suggestions and answering questions. Environment was clean, food was absolutely amazing, service was attentive and kind. Will definitely be back!

Jeff N.

Yelp
Regular spot for me. Love the pizza and the wings are great. Portions are big. I also like that if they make a mistake they own it and take care of the customer.

Yelp
I was wanting a break from cooking for the week, so I asked my family if we could go to Moon Dog for pizza. We were able to walk in and get a table, even though it was packed on a Friday night around 5:30 pm. Our waitress Susie was the best all night during our visit. She was bubbly, kind, and attentive. We were able to order $3 beers and house wine during their happy hour from 3-6 pm and two Chicago deep dish pizzas for $15 each. My husband wanted two, but one pizza would have been enough for him, I, and our toddler. We ordered one with pepperoni, which was $2 more, and a regular cheese pizza. During our wait, Susie brought out orange slices for our son to eat while we waited. The pizzas came out and we dug in. They were thick, cheesy, saucy, and two slices each was enough for each adult . Our son loved eating the crusts! Overall, it was a great visit and we will be back soon for the great prices and service.
google avatar

Marielma C D.

Yelp
We ordered the pizza with goat cheese, and it was delicious! I would suggest replacing the spinach with arugula or smaller spinach leaves, but that's just my personal opinion. Overall, it was great! The cheesy bread was also fantastic, and the service was excellent!

Yelp
Went here two weekends in a row because we had a hankering for pizza. The first visit it was a Friday and we wanted pizza. Luckily we hit the restaurant just right, and were able to score a table and didn't have to wait. I love the eclectic vibe that Moon Dog has. Such great murals, funky items like half a mannequin and bikes attached to the wall. We had a seat, and our server stopped by to take our order. My husband and I ordered beers and the little got some water. Our server was nice, efficient, and friendly. We ordered the cheesy bread to start and then decided to share a medium build your own pizza with bacon and pepperoni. Our cheesy bread came out and was soft, crispy, and cheesy. It was a crowd pleaser at our table and we all scarfed it down quickly. Our pizza came out in about 15 minutes and was served piping hot. It was full of crispy bacon and flavorful pepperoni. I liked that the crust was crispy and doughy at the same time. There is outdoor seating, for those that like a patio setting. This pizza place is located in a great little plaza that has something for everyone (pizza, pasta, Mexican food, brewery, game shop and more). Pros: -Variety of pizza, pasta, and sandwiches on the menu -Quick and friendly service -Good food -Good parking Cons: -Eating half a loaf of cheesy bread (sorry family) Tips: You can use Yelp's waitlist feature to put your name in before you arrive

Yelp
I like this place. Its not necessarily the greatest of anything in the area but, the service is usually good and, they have delish chicago style pizza and a good assortment of tap beer. Salads are good too. Fun place to take the grandkids!
google avatar

Jessica A.

Yelp
Such a good place to be with the family. One of our friends recommended us this place and it did not disappoint. We had to find the 2 flying pigs which were so hard to find but my daughter found them. Such a cool place!! Loved our server. The food is super!
google avatar

Yelp
Best wings ever!!! Driving down the road, thinking about lunch, and my friend says "We got great wings over there" so we quickly voted to go "over there" and discovered the best wings ever!!! Got a break on the price by ordering 20; can't say enough good things about the Gold Rush wing sauce! Our server, Susie, is the absolute best also...let us taste a few beers and some sauces which helped us tremendously in making the right choices. My friends loved the Blue Moon beer and the cheesy bread; I loved my Barq's root beer; and we even had some wings to take home for later than night! All in all a very enjoyable time; restaurant's decor is interesting; bathroom is clean. A good experience for a first time!

Yelp
Disappointing. The salad tasted dirty. The pizza was mediocre. Teeny tiny bits of ham and massive amounts of onion ruined it for me. I was really looking forward to trying this place. Wamp wamp, won't be going back. The only good part was the service.
google avatar

Ricky G.

Yelp
So far, it is the best Pizza in the area, and Susie and the servers are friendly, amiable folks. We have been there more than once, and each time, it is better. They are worth checking out at this time. You don't see uncaring staff, and everything is worked out. I look forward to next week again.
google avatar

Raynelle S.

Yelp
This place has a fun, whimsical atmosphere . I started with the Caesar salad then we had the Chicago style pepperoni pizza. It took longer than expected to get our pizza but the server was apologetic . The pizza was ok but I wish it had more pepperoni. The cookies and cream cake was rich flavorful. Our server was very friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Yelp
Had this last night for dinner with the fam. Perfect little neighborhood joint that will be in our usual rotation moving forward. Good pizza. Plenty of TVs and the service was friendly and on point.

Yelp
Moon Dog Pie House has been on my radar for some time now. We decided to check them out while our friend was visiting from Tampa. We arrived and were seated promptly. The menu looked great and very promising. We ordered four 10 inch pizzas to have a variety plus some leftovers. Here's what we ordered: Chicago stuffed pizza pie with pepperoni - I thought this one was good, it just didn't blow me away. The cheese and pepperoni were delicious. The sauce was sweet and well balanced. The crust felt like an afterthought, in my opinion. New York thin #23. Philly Cheesesteak pizza - This was the best one of the bunch. The Philly meat was very good as were the onions and green peppers. The thick layer on top holding in all the topping was perfect. The crust was crispy. I liked the cheese sauce base as well. Might be one of the best Philly cheesesteak pizzas I've ever had. New York thin #24 Big Bang Shrimp pizza - I wouldn't normally order a shrimp pizza but our friend really wanted to try this one. It was decent. Lettuce on a pizza is a little weird to me but it did taste somewhat refreshing. The bang bang shrimp were crunchy and sauced well. Enjoyable but I wouldn't order again. New York thin #17 The Pheonix, Buffalo Chicken Pizza - First off, not sure why it isn't spelled Phoenix.. secondly, this pizza had so much potential! The breaded chicken was crispy and delicious but I wanted more of it. The chipotle ranch was a great tasting base and the spiral of Buffalo sauce was good, we were just left wanting more of that Buffalo flavor. Lastly, the crust wasn't very crispy on this one. It would have been better after a few more minutes in the oven. Overall, not a bad experience just underwhelming. I'm not sure that we will be back but if we do return, I will definitely be ordering the Philly cheesesteak pizza again.

Melissa M.

Yelp
Great service! Me and the family are from NY and came on a busy Saturday night. We enjoyed the kids menu options like the chicken fingers! The pepperoni personal tasted like NY pizza. Also they have great entertainment options like, televisions, and at the back of the restaurant was arcade machines! As well as a great atmosphere!
google avatar

Chanelle G.

Yelp
This was a first time visit and my family and I had a great experience! It is family-friendly with a welcoming ambiance. Our waiter, Zach provided outstanding service and our food came out at a decent time. We had the teriyaki wings as an appetizer, which were nicely breaded and very flavorful. I had the pretty bird baked chicken Stromboli and I will be going back for it! It went very well with my mango craft cider. My family tried the Chicago stuffed pizza, the Philly cheesesteak and the Big Dipper specialty pie which is a hamburger pizza. All selections were amazing! Although, we did not try any desserts, they have a good selection to choose from.

Mike K.

Yelp
Yesterday we went for the first time. Started with the Astro's Cheesy Bread. Really good. Next, the Zucchini Fries. Another great app. Followed by Twenty Wings. Out of this world!!!! What a great place. Everyone was so nice. The GM came over and told us about the place. We will be customers long into the future. Next time the Chicago Stuffed Pizza Pie!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Normally I would give this place 4 stars because the food is great and so is the service. I have been in a couple of times lately for happy hour and they have run out of the most popular beverages. Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay are staples and it's ridiculous that management isn't on top of their inventory. My friend wanted Michelob Ultra and they were out of that and several other beers. So we stuck to water. The poor server had to deal with this and I bet sales and check averages have tanked. My server was awesome and tried to make it right, but I'm not going to drink something I don't want. Tighten up. How embarrassing for your employees. I haven't had a problem in the past, maybe the managers are new to the business?
google avatar

Viajante D.

Yelp
We got one Big all meat and a Pepperoni medium. It was around lunch 1pm time and service was fine, food was good but I won't give a 5 stars because it isn't a 5 star pizza. On the pepperoni pizza for example, the pepperoni was under the cheese layer, for me I almost thought that wasn't pepperoni at all, me personally I like to see the pepperoni:) on my pizza. The all meat was fine, but meats was hidden as well, something that I didn't like either, because I really like to see what it's on my piza. Last time I went there was 2 years ago approximately. I would go again in the future for another trial. Hope my review helps you to make the best decision and manager or business owner do a few adjustments in a few things for the best of their business. Thanks

Yelp
One of the best pizza places in Jax, hands down. We moved here from the NE almost 15 years ago and there are few pizza spots that are authentic in the area. Not one bad thing on the menu... pizza is great, whole family even eats the crust decor is unique.
google avatar

Theresa O.

Yelp
Grabbed lunch here today and I will be back. Tried the deep dish Chicago style and it was amazing. I am a bit of a pizza snob so the 5 stars is a pretty impressive ranking. The restaurant was clean and they have outdoor seating. Our waiter was on point he made sure we had to go boxes and lids for the ranch we had left over from the wings we got as an appetizer. Best part is they have an agreement with the brewery next door if you are there you can order and they will deliver.
google avatar

Meg A.

Yelp
Moon Dog Pie House is such a fun place to visit. Every time we go I always try to scope out different things in their graffiti. We're fans of their eclectic pies as well, and usually try something different each time we go. We haven't been disappointed yet. The most recent time we went, our server was super friendly.

Nicholas R.

Yelp
Ordered the slices of pizza and decent size. Two slices seemed like a small pizza. Excellent Caesar salad. Also love the area here.
google avatar

Danielle M.

Yelp
Sat down quicker than they had originally said with 4 out of 5 kids. There were no carbonated drinks available, so that was a downer. The food was good, we got the bread as an appetizer & we each got our own pizzas. The service was excellent. It was definitely more expensive than we had expected, when we order pies to take home from a pizza place it cost 1/2 as much. We do realize we pay for service & convenience as well, but still a little more than expected. Overall it was a nice place to take the family & will be back.

Joan D.

Yelp
Always a great stop! Love the decor. 4 of my 6 guests ordered the giant meatball! Never disappointed. Something for everyone's taste! Especially the individual pies. We all have favorites!
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Moon Dog is a pizza place I tend to forget about since I see it more of a restaurant I would sit down at and have a meal not were I would go to pick up pizza but that's what we did. We called in and ordered a 16 inch pie half pepperoni half cheese. The pizza was nice and thin which is how I like it. I also liked that the pepperoni were larger then most peperoni and it was really good. Prices on pizza were pretty good too. Just under $16 for our pizza. We will be coming back since they have so many options on specialty pizzas that sounds very good as well as when I need need A Chicago Style Stuffed Pizza. We will be back soon!
google avatar

Mindy M.

Yelp
I ordered via chownow last weekend when I had friends in town and it was such a great experience! We got the all Meat pizza and the Mac and cheese pizza. Both were very warm and fresh when delivered and the order process was easy. The pizza was loved by all and two large pizzas fed 8 very hungry people.
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
I am DONE with the pizza. They are so wildly inconsistent. The NY thin & crispy crust..... should be THIN & CRISPY! When the waitress tells you they're so inconsistent with the crispness.... Maybe the management should take a look. Their wings are really good though. They usually have good craft beers on tap.

Yelp
It's been 3 years since I last wrote a review for this establishment and once again, such a great place to eat! No complaints! this time around, my sister's boyfriend arrived from out of town and we (the family) decided to eat here. The restaurant always has that awesome vibrant decor of art and things hanging from the ceiling. Love it how we were seated undering a hanging white christmas tree. The hostess greeted us with smile and seated us instantly. Our waitress was nice and took our drink orders, which was easy because we all ordered water. She was very kind to allow us an additional five minutes to order since we all wanted something a little different and the menu has since change. When she returned, we ordered the following: the Moon Dog Meateor (Chicago Stuffed Pizza), Space Trash (NY Style) and the Milky Way (NY Style). Moon Dog Meateor - This was a very thick and stuffed pizza! So much layers of beef, sliced sausage, pepperoni, ham, sliced meatballs, bacon and cheese! Very delicious and love it being smothered in red sauce. Space Trash - This was also very delicious! Surprisingly, my father really liked it as it was different with great flavor and balance of seasoning. This pizza consisted of ham, beef, garlic, green peppers, bacon, pineapple, black olives, pepperoni, onions, tomato, and a special blended cheese. Milky Way - I didn't get a change to try this one as I was already full with the other two above, however, on behalf of my sister, she loves this pizza because of the white sauce and the blend of the cheeses, cream and vegetables coming together. Overall, definitely recommend this place to friends and families as the staff, sergvice, ambience and food exceeds our expectations.

Yelp
We have only gotten to go, but last night got a pepperoni deep dish Chicago pizza. It was delicious. The crust had a mellow mushroom style crust, loved that. I really enjoyed the pizza. We are thinking about ordering again tonight to try something different. Prices were reasonable.

Grant C.

Yelp
Do ever find yourself wanting a beer and a nice slice of pizza? Well look no further this is the spot! I've been a couple times and the vibe is always rockin. The service is always amazing, especially this one manager named Carson. He was super helpful and when something was wrong he was there to save the day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
google avatar

Yelp
We have been wanting to try Moon Dog for a while, but everytime we were going to go we ended up somewhere else. Last night we were headed to somewhere else, but quickly decided to pull into Moon Dog instead. We were greeted by a friendly hostess that sat us right as we came in and our server was Lauren who did an awesome job at taking care of us. She was super friendly, personable, and very effecient. She told us all the specials that they had, described some of the dishes on the menu, and made recommendations for us. We ended up getting the wings, lobster artichoke dip, a slice of pepperoni pizza, and a couple of beers. My wife was a little disappointed they didn't have a full bar; only beer and wine. The beers were great for me. And the food was really good; a lot better than our expectations. We are looking forward to coming back again soon and trying the Chicago pie.

Yelp
This is a wonderful restaurant in Saint Johns, just south of Jacksonville. The menu includes various pizzas (or select your own toppings), salads, subs, wings, beer, etc. The decor is eclectic; fun painted walls, signs and junk hanging from the ceiling. The paved patio is enclosed, covered and ceiling fans churn during our seven months of Summer. No smoking inside or out, thankfully. The clientele is mostly families with a smattering of older or younger couples. There is plenty of surface parking along the front and especially the back. The restaurant is in a safe, clean, family oriented area of northernmost Saint Johns County. Now for the food, I have eaten here at least a dozen times and have always been satisfied with quality, flavor, texture, freshness and spice. The service is usually very good even at peak times. Inside is almost all wood, high back booths; outside tables and chairs. Enjoy!
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
We have a group that meets here once a week and they have been great at taking care of us. Parking is available in front or in the back. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The food is very good. Our favorite so far has been their gyros.

Yelp
I have been here twice in the last two weeks and both times the food was outstanding! The second time I got the calzone and I asked her to make it very soft I was almost white and gooey in the middle and that's exactly what they did and it was perfect perfect perfect. I had to mention the perfect three times because that is how I like it and they listen to what I wanted and delivered. That demonstrate through customer service. The spinach and mushrooms were fresh, the cheese was outstanding and the service is beyond reproach. I will definitely be a regular

Yelp
"Why does it hurt so bad, why do I feel so sad..." My hurt breaks when I read reviews that really promote someplace, I go there with high expectations and then I'm left throwing a tantrum like a 2 year old. We're new to the Julington Creek area, so we're still trying find our "go to" places, which led us to Moon Dog. Now, I know that this place is known for deep dish, but I'm from Chicago - the home of pizza so deep you'll lose your silverware in it like a scavenger hunt. That said, I figured that if you're known for deep dish, NY style should also be delicious - not quite. We ordered a pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza and their version of street corn. The toppings were sparse, as if they were running low. In fact, they were so sparse that some slices barely had any at all. The street corn on had a little bit of the cheese topping, not enough to cover the whole corncob. We may have to look elsewhere for our pizza place.
