Despite the dish (Pad See Lew) looking fairly plain, I was surprised with its flavor! Especially with the addition of a little extra soy sauce packet. The staff was super kind and my order was competed very quickly!

Google
We have been ordering from Moongate for more than a decade and the food has never disappointed! If you are craving classic Asian comfort food this is the place! Online ordering is easy, delivery is lightning fast, and the food is hot and tasty!

Google
The food is always pleasant whenever we go here, but service has always been suboptimal. Our server is usually very blunt and demanding and seems distracted and uninterested, frequently sitting at tables to scroll on her phone. Just recently my friends went out for a little pick-me-up, and a friend of mine ordered. And when that special time came, they didn't bring out what he ordered, instead bringing out a dish with similar pronunciation. Our waitress didn't take a moment to check in with us after leaving our food at the table, and it took a couple tries to get her attention. Once she finally came around to our table, my friend politely corrected his order. And our waitress, instead of being understanding of the mistake, began to scold my friend for several minutes. She told him he didn't know what he ordered, asked him to repeat a couple times, and then went on to fully lecture him on what he was supposed to say to get the dish he asked for. For clarification, he never said the name of the dish they brought out instead. Very disappointed as the food is good and it's a cute local restaurant; this was not our first time visiting, but unfortunately looks like it will be our last.

Google
Ordered the Drunken Noodles, which are labeled on the menu as "Hot". I even asked for "extra spicy" when I ordered. Whatever peppers they were using must have been stale because I could see lots of pepper flakes in the dish but I couldn't taste them at all. On a spice scale from 1 to 10, this was a 1 or 2. I understand that a lot of folks can't handle spice, but please don't describe something on your menu as "hot" if it's not actually hot!

Michaela Starling

Google
Ordered take out and my order was hot and fresh. I tried the sesame tofu with white rice and side of spring rolls. Everything had good flavor, I loved the sesame sauce here. Was thoroughly impressed with the dinner portion and the fact that it was served with steamed vegetables. The spring rolls were crispy and delicous. My only regret was that I couldn't finish it all! Highly recommend and hope to visit again or try delivery.

Google
Disregard the comments about the service at this restaurant.. this isn’t the type of place you go to be waited on hand and foot, it’s the type of place you go to have your socks knocked off by the best authentic Chinese cuisine in the Front Range. Everything I’ve had from here has been absolutely amazing. I recommend, in particular, the Thai peanut curry or the drunken noodles.

Google
A nice authentic place. Went for a birthday dinner and were pleasantly surprised by how much food we got for a very small total. The atmosphere was peaceful and the service was quick. Had really tasty soup there (although they definitely have an interesting take on Tom Yum), great chicken and lo mein. We left satisfied. Maybe I wouldn’t order the boba slushee again, as it was previously frozen, which made the boba balls very soft and not juicy, although the drink itself was good. I think this place can really benefit from either making their boba fresh or taking it off the menu altogether. Will definitely come back! :)

Google
Love taking my lunch here if I need to save some cash I can eat for as low as $10 but some times I like to ball out and order a little extra

Yelp
We live close and Moongate is our go to for classic Asian comfort food. It always arrives, amazingly quickly, hot, fresh, and with a smile. We have enjoyed the Penang, lettuce, chicken, Mushu, pork, peanut chicken, and chicken satay. They are all exactly the way you would want them to taste and yummy. We will continue ordering from them, and so should you.

Yelp
Quick and friendly service! I came here with my family. Small parking lot that is shared with other businesses but we got there early so there were plenty of spaces. We were seated immediately and brought waters right away. The waitress was very kind and knowledgeable about the menus as well! I got the broccoli beef lunch special. The flavors were good! The temperature was still fresh! My family liked what they got as well :) It was nice and peaceful in there. Only one other couple dining and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. I would definitely go back :)

Yelp
I live near by and do take out frequently. They deliver extremely fast every time. The pad see eww is not the best I've had but is the best in the area. Curry soups are excellent as well as the Thai tea. This is mostly what we order. Not over priced and the food arrives hot. I have eaten at the restaurant once and will do pick up often. Its a cute little place in a convient location.

Yelp
Tried Pad se ew and Thai fried rice. Asked for Thai hot spicy level but got no spice. The fried rice had pineapple and cashews in it which was a bit weird. All in all the food was a bit bland and I will stick to other places for Thai food.

Zoë G.

Yelp
Great place for takeout or delivery. Fast preparation and delivery. Highly recommend the sesame tofu and king pow chicken. Crab Rangoon needs more carb.

Kathryn M.

Yelp
Everything I've tried so far (fried rice, Thai fried rice, shrimp with broccoli, crab Rangoon) were all awesome! Tons of flavor and great portions. The fried rice actually has eggs... so hard to find. I had a delivery order that was supposed to get to my house by 7 but they delivered it to me by 6:25. Highly recommend if you're struggling to find quality Chinese food here.

Rick O.

Yelp
Finally found some Hunan chicken worth eating. Been searching for a long time. Sorry no pix, I was starving. Also got some shrimp spring rolls. Although the peanut sauce was very thick, it was still quite tasty. Ordered online - said it would be 30 min. I stopped by within 15 minutes and it was ready. I'm going back! ** I added "extra spicy" to my order. Next time I'll have to say "extra extra spicy."

Yelp
I tried to overlook the lack of congenial greetings usually found at most restaurants and figured the staff was tired. I left and did not pay when I saw a cockroach on the wall that lead to the kitchen.

Gabriel H.

Yelp
I ordered delivery from Postmates and founEgg shells in my Singapore Rice Noodles. First and last time ordering from here.

Yelp
I've been wanting to check this place out for a while now because every time I drive by during the day the parking lot is full and there are people inside, and this has been consistent for at least two years. Well I finally tried them and I am beyond disappointed. I ordered beef drunken noodles as my entrée. I'm not sure what they're using for beef but it's definitely NOT anything that resembles even the most minimal quality of beef it was absolutely disgusting!! Let's call it "beef food product". And the noodles were not the typical wide, flat noodles that are supposed to come with drunken noodles... they were basically a thicker version of fettuccine. The sauce flavor was OK but I just really couldn't bring myself to eat it because of the quality of the "meat food product". I also ordered shrimp shumai which was OK, nothing special though... just forget about the crab Rangoon's that were absolutely terrible, dry, thick, over cooked.. yuck! What a waste of $30. I'm so disappointed and will definitely not be back.

Yelp
Services quick and friendly. Like all the other reviews pretty bland. Crab rations were chewy. Most places even after you bring them home will still be crunchy. We ordered the side of lo mein noodles that had nothing not even peas or carrots or any sort of something just make it natural. We only got the side of noodles, but I really feel it should have a little more flavor and at least peas or carrots. Vietnamese eggrolls had good flavor, but we're over cooked. It was good in a pinch. I don't know if I can order it too soon..

Yelp
The moon must have played a part in my in-person order to go as the chicken fried was ateamed, and the steamed dumplings ended up being pan-fried potstickers which all kinda threw me off but bummed more for the gact I didn't make this discovery until I got home.

Yelp
Moongate's one of the local Chinese joints on rotation for my partner and I; though they offer more than just standard Americanized Chinese food. You'll find some gentle Thai adventures as well, but it's a reasonably well rounded menu. We don't live far away, but their delivery has been exceptionally quick the few times we've ordered them. Like, delivery time quoted as 8:10-8:30 and it shows up at 7:45 quick. So if you're trying to play 'Beat The Pizza' with your significant other before your food arrives, doing it when you've ordered Moongate may not be the best idea. Their food overall is average, but nothing I've had is bad. It's just not over the top out of this world good or anything like that. The crab Rangoons are fine, nearly crab-less like you'd expect from most places with this item on their menu. The gyoza is fine. The pork fried rice is good, but the quality of pork is average. The Moon Harbor is off-putting to some because it's minced chicken, but I really really enjoyed it especially mixed in with some white rice. Great flavor, great spice! The Panang Curry was average - flavor was good but weak. Needed some more body and more robustness. All in all it's not a bad joint. It's probably not going to be the best you've ever eaten at, but when you're craving Chinese it'll likely hit the spot.

Yelp
Had been ordering from this place for quite a few years - had always been excellent with fast delivery. Last few times, in particular this last time, the food was quite mediocre. Chicken teriyaki was rubbery and the general Tso chicken seemed more like gristle than pieces of chicken. Might have been over cooked. Not much flavor.
google avatar

Cheryl G.

Yelp
Always consistent on flavor, customer service and delivery - we couldn't ask for more!

Yelp
Great food and delivered in 25 minutes. We use them Often and always great results. Fresh, Hot and delicious.

Yelp
Moongate Asian Grill was my sister in-law's go to chinese restaurant when she was living here. She visited from S Carolina for the holidays and wanted to eat here. I am not sure whether she left happy or disappointed but I will give my take on it. Looking at the menu, it seems they wanted to cover all things Asian (except Filipino). They have dishes from China, Japan, Korean, and even Vietnamese. At first I thought this was a Chinese restaurant but now I am not sure. Usually when a restaurant is this diverse, this usually is a recipe for disaster. I ordered the dish One Night in Bangkok (yes that is the name). I mainly ordered it because of the name. But I also thought that softshell crab is always good, right? Nope. The softshell crab was breaded in maybe pangko bread crumbs, garnished with veggies (broccoli, yuck!), and with a side of this curry dip. The curry dip was not good and it threw off the taste. It definitely did not belong. The crab tasted better by itself but it wasn't really that good. I think the breading was too overpowering. I also tried their crab rangoons (wontons) were also just okay. I would like to see this place stick to 1 genre and perfect it. Maybe then the flavor profiles would be more appealing.

Yelp
Food and service are very good, ambiance is average for this neighborhood. The owners also own Kassai, just in the building to the South. Excellent Sashimi and fresh ginger.

Yelp
Chicken lo mein should be pretty basic enough to not mess up, but Moongate seems to have done it. I ate here a couple years ago, thought it was bad, swore to not come back. Unfortunately, I live less than 1.5 miles from here and pass it just about every day. Well it's snowing in April/almost May, and we felt like this was a great Chinese food night for the family. All of the good spots were on a 45 minute wait, so I'm driving home and roll the dice that I can pop into Moongate and grab a couple basic dishes and just hope they can not screw them up. Boy have I learned my lesson. I'm two bites into to lo mein. Noodles are super bland, chicken taste like rubber garbage, and the veggies are all slimy and just bad. They get 1-star for a.) you can't leave a review without giving at least one star, b.) the fried egg roll is good enough with a lot of mustard on it. I'm so pissed about this whole purchase. I go back and forth in my head to get back in my car, drive in the snow, just to return this and get my money back, but I'm 99% sure they just don't give a sh!t after seeing all the other bad reviews and no comments from the management. Can someone please buy them out and put a good restaurant in its place?! I hate that they even open their door for business. They need to go.

Yelp
Moongate Asian Grill is a cozy, casual Asian restaurant off of Quebec and 6th. It's great if you're looking for a cheap and quick Asian fusion meal. The portions are large enough for a full meal with enough leftovers for a hardy lunch. The service is fast and friendly, and your water glass will never be empty! My friends and I ordered the sesame chicken, lemon grass chicken, lettuce wraps, and yushan egg plant. The food isn't exactly authentic, and I could definitely taste the Americanized sauces, but the meal overall was very satisfying. The sesame chicken actually had large chucks of white meat, instead overwhelming fried batter. The Yushan sauce on the egg plant was sweet and savory. Check them out if you're in the area!

Yelp
I wish I could leave a 0/0. I ordered the chow mein, and was brought a soggy vegetable soup substance with RAW and CHEWY chicken. It was horrible! The beef of broccoli is okay - but be prepared for a fun night of stomach aches after you eat here. Steamed rice, was not steamed. It was hard and cold. Yet our veggie and egg rolls were extremely hot and tender. So many better Chinese & Asian restaurants. This was awful!

Louise Z.

Yelp
It's hard to get the cook to make something spicy. Sometimes takeout seems like it's rushed and needs to be reheated and doctored.

Yelp
The chicken wings are absolutely amazing!!!! Super fast speedy delivery... Always hot and tasty

Yelp
Consistently delicious for the two decades plus that I've lived here. Almost too many great dishes to list, but the "Taste of Siam" is absolutely wonderful, and you won't find it elsewhere.

Yelp
beer special for $2 everyday and all day. that's big plus! food was ok, service was good, great value for the money. I would rate it 3 stars but cheap good and beer, definitely moving it up a notch!

Lori A.

Yelp
This is the poorest excuse for a Chinese restaurant I have seen in a very long time!. The Chow Fun was unrecognizable as such as was the Mu Shai. They were both so bland there was no flavor. The sweet sour chicken and the kung pao chicken were barely passable. I will never order from here again and only wish I could give LESS than one star!

Garrett H.

Yelp
I live within walking distance to this place. I ordered broccoli beef. They gave me a dish that had broccoli but the meat was some kind of fish. I walked back and they told me it was beef and sent me on my way. This stuff straight up smells like fish and when I walked back home I took a piece of the meat and rinsed it off in water. It was definitely fish and not beef. I do not eat fish so this ruins this restaurant for me.
google avatar

Nikki A.

Yelp
Ordered delivery and my food was cold. The vegetable Lomein was very bland. I would have loved a bigger variety of veggies, not just onions and broccoli. The chicken noodle bowl was also very bland. The menu said it comes with carrots and I guess they substituted tomato which I don't eat. The chicken was very tough to chew and was also cold.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
Fast delivery. But the pot stickers were inedible (pictured). The lo mein and cheese wantons tasted likey had been sitting out all day. I didn't eat any of it.
google avatar

Jessie B.

Yelp
Eh....I was desperate and ordered the pad Thai with tofu from DoorDash. The dish was bland and slimy and watery, and tasted and looked with it was quickly thrown together without much thought. The tofu was spongy and had a weird sour taste? I definitely won't order from them again...and now I feel like my stomach is hurting a little bit while writing this.... I would however recommend Aloy Thai. Their pad Thai with tofu is Ahhmazing

Marlene A.

Yelp
The food was good but it did not taste fresh. Like it might have been warmed up. Conveniently located spot.

Yelp
I thought I would treat myself for Mothers Day.I Ordered a seafish dish $16.95.It was so plain didnt have any flavor no spices at all.Just w cornstarch white sause. It was the only thing I ate that day.I have been sick ever since still in bed.I have had food poison before and trust me it was.

Michael A.

Yelp
The plate shows raw spicy chicken wings & the receipt shows they charged for it after being shown it was raw.

Steven S.

Yelp
I was hoping for excellence, but accept that delivery and excellence rarely go hand in hand. This was nothing special. The egg rolls and wor wonton were blandish, the duck over cooked. But like I said, delivery must come with lowered expectations.

Yelp
When I'm visiting my friends in Stapleton, we frequently order from this restaurant. While I would overall give the food and delivery service a solid 3 stars, they really knocked it out of park last night so I'm bumping them up to four stars. We normally get chicken fried rice, crab rangoons, dumplings, and lo me in which as I mentioned before is always passable but nothing special. Last night we mixed it up a little and got the basil fried rice and Thai curry noodles. My friend said the curry noodles were one of the best things she'd ever eaten! My basil fried rice was also really really good and the jalapeños gave it a nice kick without being overly spicy. What really amazed me though was the quality of our staple appetizers last night - the egg rolls, wontons, and dumplings were all FANTASTIC. This lead us to think there may have been some recent changes to the kitchen staff - what a difference. Also, delivery was super, super fast. Can't wait to order in again next week!
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
The food was pretty good and this likely would have been a 4 Star review if we had ordered delivery (which we will do in the future). The calamari felt and tasted like it was deep-fried from a frozen bag you would find in a grocery store aisle. My Pad Thai and my husbands crispy duck were tasty though and had generous portions for the price! The place was unfortunately really dirty though - crumbs were EVERYWHERE. I had to put a napkin on my booth to sit on because I had no confidence that thing had been wiped down in the past week or more. The service was decent and they tried for an ambiance with nice music and decor, but the music stopped and all we could hear was the bad TV in the background that the owner (I assume)'s kids were listening to in the other section. Definitely eat their food, less the calamari, but have it delivered.
google avatar

Hannah Y.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! The food here is always good and fresh tasting. I've tried Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese here. My favorites are the pad Thai and green curry chicken. So delicious! The place is clean and usually quiet. The service is great and the prices are very affordable. I know that this place delivers and I've heard good things about that. Sadly, I don't live in the area but I don't mind making the trip out there to get food!
google avatar

Yelp
My pad see ew had a large piece of twine in it. It was tied in a circle, but had it been untied it would have been approximately 12 inches long. Stir fried into my noodles. Because it had been cooked with my food, it was the same color, meaning I didn't see it and only discovered it when I chewed it. I contacted GrubHub, and they were very helpful and apologetic, but the restaurant was NOT. They refused to refund even the price of that item! I can accept that mistakes are made in a kitchen, but I'm furious that Moongate didn't care about making it right! I won't buy again from a company that cares so little about their customers.

Sarah H.

Yelp
Don't recommend Moongate . Food had no flavor . I ordered the fried rice it had a lot of extra stuff I didn't ask for (raisens, almonds ) . The wontons was okay.

Jackie S.

Yelp
I ordered the tofu drunken noodles and it was really tasty and savory. But more importantly, y'all the fortunes in their fortune cookies are wild. Did I read the fortune or did the fortune read me?
google avatar

Mariah W.

Yelp
Ordered from here today and the food was pretty average. I ordered crab rangoons and beef drunken noodles. The rangoons were okay. They were soggy and didn't have a lot of filling. The overall taste of them wasn't bad, but I don't think they were fresh so I'd like to try them again sometime. As for the drunken noodles: it was more onions than noodles. Like I'm talking a ridiculous amount of onions. The noodles I did find were good and so was the beef. Overall I would probably only eat here again if I wanted Asian in a pinch.

Kevin J.

Yelp
Not good. Ordered via door dash may 3. Undercooked in seasoned unsauced general tso The crab Rangoon was ok I don't recommend.
google avatar

Danielle J.

Yelp
It's hit or miss here on the menu items I have tried. Their delivery service has always been reasonable in timing and food correct & hot. Portions are good for the price. Beef & Broccoli - really NOT good here Pad Thai - This was listed on one online order site as their popular item and people mention it here as a fan favorite but I found it to be NOT good. It was slimy and bland. Probably one of the least appealing Pad Thai's I have ever had. :( Shumai - GOOD! I get it steamed. You get 6 pieces for about $5 when other places charge more for less. Miso - GOOD! Moon Harbor - GOOD! Satay Beef - GOOD!

Yelp
Cozy place that was once sintering else. Just west of the Lowry neighborhood. Busy, waitstaff of one this noon was on a roll. Brought me extra chili paste for the Penang curry. My wife had sesame beef, Seems to do a high volume takeout business. Extremely varied menu. Will return.

Yonatan G.

Yelp
Incredibly homey, and has some of my favorite pad Thai in Denver! Went here all the time in high school, always feel at home there

Yelp
Worst restaurant experience ever! We should have known when we entered the empty dining room on a Saturday night. We had frequented this restaurant years ago and it was a good place. What has happened? The service was appalling. The waitress shuffled over to our table as if we had disturbed her from a nap. When my husband happened to use the restroom which by the way he said was disgustingly dirty, he found the receptionist and the waitress chatting away. Must've been a very important discussion because waiting our table was certainly not on the waitress 's mind. There was no effort to serve our table, food was literally dropped in front of us. The food was equally lacking. The food took a very long time to come out. And when it did it was either undercooked or burned. The steamed gyoza were still frozen in the middle, the Vietnamese egg rolls burned, the Pad Tie tasteless. This location could be a gold mine but the management seems checked out. Avoid this place!

Joy C.

Yelp
Husband and I loved our meals. He says best in city. Two thumbs. Sesame Chicken and Thai seafood meal.

Yelp
We tried this place for the first time last night, after passing by it for years.... The food and service were pretty bad: rubbery chicken teriyaki and unfriendly service. We won't return but hope it was just an off night for them.

D R.

Yelp
It's been years since I dined at Moongate. I was pleasantly surprised with my recent visit that the food had the same delicious flavor. It also seemed the portions were a bit bigger too.
