I can't believe this is my first time eating at Moon - I've passed by it countless times, as it is right on US-1.
I stopped by for a quick bite with a friend before heading out for the night. We weren't super hungry but we needed to eat.
She ordered the Tom Yum Kai Soup (Thai menu) which looked really well made, I didn't try since I'm not a fan of coconut based soups, instead I opted for the miso soup ( Japanese menu) which was as good as every other miso soup I've tried -- and we shared steamed goyza ( pork dumplings) and Shrimp Shumai from the Japanese menu.
We also split a pot of hot green tea which came in a very cute ceramic kettle.
When the dumplings came out they were really cold, we let our server know and she asked us to remove the sauce ( I guess so they could nuke it in the microwave...) I really would have preferred we got a fresh batch, but I guess not.
The shrimp Shumai were alright, the dumpling itself was very thick and almost sticky - I've had much better at different sushi spots.
Our order did come out very quickly though, which I would usually count as a plus, but in this case with our cold dumpling incident, I wonder if they just keep popular items hanging around near the microwave.
Also one note, the parking situation is pretty inconvenient. It's a tiny shared lot with Starbucks, and 3 other local businesses. We had to wait maybe 15 min to park.
Overall, nothing terrible and nothing great from Moon. Maybe skip it... unless you get a crazy craving for sushi/ Thai food while in traffic on US1
