Moonburger Is Opening its First Brooklyn Location in Williamsburg - Eater NY

"Moonburger is a vegetarian drive-thru restaurant known for its cheeseburgers and oat milkshakes. It started in Kingston and has expanded to other locations including New Paltz and Poughkeepsie. It differentiates itself by focusing on a plant-based menu that's appealing to mainstream meat-eaters. The upcoming location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn will be the first to have a liquor license and will feature exclusive collaborations." - Emma Orlow

"With locations in Kingston and New Paltz, Moon Burger is recommended as one of the best burgers in New York — notable for being meat-free — and is suggested as a convenient stop off I-87 if you’re taking the Palisades Parkway to Tannersville." - Coolstuff Team

Delicious burger!! Greasy, meaty, cheese and rich of flavors. Fries were crispy and delicious. Definitely coming back :)

Never had a moonburger before. Loved it! The bun, the cheese, the meat, the onions. It's definitely a fine harmony of deliciousness. I would recommend to anyone who wants a delicious burger.

Love the food. Don't plan to sit and eat though. Only 4 stools at a window counter worth of space to eat. Amazing burgers with tasty fries. If you aren't familiar, this place specializes on alternative meat so unless you are a rabbit make sure you specify "real beef" when you order. Highly recommend.

Moon Burger is a really good fast food option for those who want the feeling of stuffing their face without the heavy stomach. Even after eating a double burger (which, I’ll admit, took a WHILE because it is very filling), I didn’t feel like I normally do after fast food. There’s also a nice friendly touch to this place. The interior is beautiful, and the staff are beyond helpful. You can either sit inside (very limited seating), or take it to go! You can order at the register, order online, or use the kiosk. They have three items. Veggie burgers, fries, and non diary milkshakes. Personally, although I enjoy moon burger a lot, I think I can see myself going there after the bar (they’re going to be open until 2am Saturday’s I believe) for some fries. The shakes aren’t for me (and trust me, I’m alone on that), just because of the non-dairy taste. The burger is delish, but there seems to be something missing… not sure what it is! My friend and I agreed it might just be some salt. I recommend Moon Burger to anyone in town, and I know this will 100% become a staple to New Paltz. Expect to spend around $15-$20 a person for a combo, and not too long of a wait for the food to come out! Looking forward to seeing where Moon Burger goes!

I didn’t know that a non-beef burger could taste that good but it did! The texture, how it looked, and the mouth feel of the burger really made me think it was beef. The look of it doesn’t match the photos but no fast food burger ever does, I think. The burger was oversized on the potato bun. I wished it had more of a char on it (is it possible?) and the fries were a little crispier. Still, not bad for such a treat and have it be a touch healthier (?) The oat milk strawberry shortcake milkshake was tasty although not as thick as a milk based shake (I think). The place really is for takeout although I ate at the small counter indoors. I may try to bring my partner and see if he can tell the difference.

i went here last week as i was stopping in town on my way further upstate. as a vegetarian, this is the best deal on a burger/combo you’re gonna get from a fast food place and it tastes amazing! i loved the double onion style and i like that they smash the impossible patties a little thinner (something i think most places should do to at least make it a little cheaper). the store itself is very small with only a few seats but hey, that’s the space available and there’s plenty of areas around the main street you can sit and eat as well if they’re not open. the service was also great and very quick, everyone was very nice and to follow that last review on here, i’m not sure if i was greeted immediately after stepping in the building, but i was still given amazing friendly service and a great meal, so i don’t think a greeting would’ve been that important either way. 5/5 recommend

The food is great, but the only thing that I don't like is you don't have a option to pick your temperature. I've ordered from them three times and every time I do, when I get my burger it's super, super raw. I have to come back home and put it in a frying pan and cook it. You don't get the option to say if you want it pink, medium or well done. I love my food well done. Since they only take online orders, it would be really great if this is something they could add to their ordering process.

Google
The burgers are tasty, they have gluten free options, my kids love this place - so we go all the time. However, without fail, every single time, there is a mistake in the order. Missing a patty in a double burger, no cheese on the cheeseburger, wrong toppings on the wrong burger. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. They’re also often backed up, running slow, and seemingly overwhelmed. I think they need more people. The employees are very kind and apologetic, but it seems like they don’t have enough people or systems to stay organized!
