Best Kid-friendly Restaurants in Denver | Eater Denver

"Housed in an old chrome boxcar just minutes from DIA, this blast from the past is covered in 1950s memorabilia to occupy curious kiddos, who also get coloring materials to pass the time along with a menu just for them that features dishes from chocolate-chip pancakes to buttered noodles. Adults, meanwhile, have their own extensive selection of classic diner fare to choose from, including all-day breakfasts, chicken-fried steak, chili burgers, BLTs, and more." - Eater Staff

This is an authentic all American dinner. We have visited 3 times and Every single plate we have ordered has been perfectly cooked. It all comes out in a decent time. Here, portions are perfect and one of the best features is the price. The service is amazing. It has been Great experience this week and I am def recommending this place to friends. I will comeback for more next. Year. Great job.

Google
Stopped by this diner and it definitely delivered on huge portions, yummy food, and that classic retro feel. The place has an old-school charm. We ordered the chicken and biscuits and the country fried steak with pancakes. Both were hearty, flavorful, and seriously satisfying—pure comfort food. The pancakes were fluffy, and the gravy on the country fried steak hit just right. If you come hungry, you won’t leave disappointed. Service was okay—not bad, but nothing standout. It got the job done. Overall, if you’re into big plates of classic diner food in a fun, throwback setting, this spot is worth a visit.

Food was fresh and came out fairly quick. Tasted great ! I ordered the frito pie burger with a side of mac N cheese. The burger was nice and warm and tasted very good as well ! Apple pie was the perfect amount of sweet as well as savory. Our server was the sweetest lady too ! ! !

We recently came here for lunch and here’s what I thought. Atmosphere: Moonlight Diner is cutely decorated on the inside. They have a lovely outdoor porch with mist fans in the summer. I will say the booth fabric NEEDS to be redone. I noticed several booths had cracked upholstery or holes in them! Restrooms: They had men’s and women’s bathrooms. The women’s bathrooms had 3 stalls. The bathroom was clean. Service: The service was great. Everyone was so friendly. Food: We loved our food. You can never go wrong with diner food. I got a simple grilled cheese and fries. The grilled cheese was perfect and I LOVED the seasoning on the fries. My husband got their mushroom burger and really enjoyed it. We got a chocolate milkshake to go, which was so good. This is a great place for breakfast and lunch and is conveniently located close to the airport. Prices were very reasonable.

This was suggested to me by a friend of mine so I decided to try it out. My first visit was unbelievable. I couldn’t believe Diner food still existed today and was good. The atmosphere was amazing really really classic Diner. Everybody was so friendly and the portions were good for the money. So I decided to invite my friend who suggested it and take her for my second visit, family friendly fun fantastic food all in all I’ll be back again.

Google
5-stars for good food and good vibes. Happy sunny and warm. Friendly conversation with our waitress and a warm suggestion to try their Moonlight Pork Green Chili. It was phenomenal. I thought it was an awesome mix of flavors and spices for a chili having never tasted before. Do try if you like spice and flavor.

Google
The menu offered good, hearty breakfast food. The service was excellent. The ambiance was a nostalgic 50's era setting. The prices were reasonable. There was plenty of parking. The bathroom was clean.

Google
This dinner has yummy food (especially breakfast) at great prices. The ambiance was great and staff were fast and friendly. Lots of seating and parking. Went here with my friends from work and had a great time. I do recommend!

Yelp
We just arrived to Colorado and got our rentals and decided to try out a place near the area, plus it had great reviews. The business was easy to find and had good parking in the back. Once we arrived the staff quickly greeted us and we were seated. The menu had various options and everything looked delicious! Plus the atmosphere had an old school diner vibe. With everything on the menu, I ended up ordering the Breakfast Burrito. Which had everything, and topped off with the green chili. The food arrived quick and everything my family and I ordered was great and delicious! The prices were reasonable with the amount of food provided. I would definitely want to try this place out again before we leave.

Yelp
Worst service EVER!!! No one seems to be in charge. It was horrible! I do not recommend this diner. *one star

Yelp
Great local spot with huge portions for breakfast/brunch! I had the Mountain Man and it was amazing but huge portions! Vanilla milkshake great too but heavy, gotta have the power to finish the whole thing.

Yelp
Yummmmyyy food and excellent service. The perfect American diner with delicious breakfast with huge portion sizes. Everything we ordered - pancakes, French toast, burger, omelette was delicious and filling. We could mix and match to get a variety of 3 pancakes served with fresh fruit and a dollop of whipped cream. Hash browns were perfectly crispy and came in a huge portion for a side plate. There's a separate menu for kids and they even had crayons and paper to keep kids engaged. Our host and server were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this diner during your travels as it's super close to the Denver airport.

Yelp
We strolled in on a Friday morning - it was busy!! It's a school looking dinner - all silver metal outside. I'm kind of a plain breakfast lover so I was good with eggs, bacon, hash brown potatoes, and toast. You get a choice of wheat, white, sourdough so I got sourdough. The bacon was super crispy - the way I like it. My eggs were cooked as requested. Our waitress was very attentive. She made sure to keep our coffees filled and we never felt rushed even though we sat and did some work for a couple hours. Really enjoyed this place and it so close to the airport here so definitely a good pit stop.

Yelp
Moonlight Diner & Bar is one of my favorite places to eat! It's a hidden gem with a great view of the mountains. Moonlight has been there for 25 years, it's retro design is a throw back to the 1950s. This funky boxcar looks like my grandparents kitchen did, back in the day, complete with turquoise colored chairs & booths on a checkered floor. Very cute, with lots of memorabilia on the walls. There is even an outdoor patio. Moonlight is minutes to DIA, with free parking in the back as well as on the side street. TIP...this place is almost always busy, so I recommend joining their waitlist. On the Saturday morning we went we did just that & our wait time was five minutes instead of a half hour. Moonlight has your classic diner fare, including some entrees & BBQ choices. They serve breakfast all day. And in case you missed it above, Moonlight has a full bar. They have fun drinks like Mimosa & Bloody Mary Flights plus Adult Milkshakes! Our party of three decided on Biscuits, Sausage & Gravy with Hash Browns, the Big Breakfast Burrito and a Side House Salad with Steak added on. The service was fast & friendly. The biscuit & burrito breakfasts were delicious! My husband said the sausage gravy was thick & creamy. Our friend said the pork green chile sauce on the burrito was very good, not too spicy. They are served on platters instead of plates...the portion sizes are big. The best kept secret was my meal. I had the side salad & steak - wow was I surprised how much food I had. Large portions for only spending about $10. We had a great time at Moonlight & I highly recommend this diner!

Yelp
Fun diner, with nice fresh upholstery and throwback advertisements on the wall. I had these signature salad and it had everything in it besides an egg. Even pineapple in it. We had a table of seven, and all the food arrived at the same time. There were a couple water glasses that were empty about 10 to 15 minutes before we were done that were not refilled. Associates, taking our order and dropping off the food. We're all very courteous and polite. My local friends say that they have never had anything from here that wasn't great. They also have an enclosed outdoor seating. Fun place to check out with great Food!!

Yelp
Super cool diner, extensive menu, vibes were good and overall it was just a really good experience!

Yelp
For it being the only establishment around it's fine. We ordered the meatloaf with a side of sweet potato's and Mac n cheese, unimpressive. Along with the Turkey Back Wrap with a side of sweet potato's. The potato's were the worst! Completely mushy. The Mac n cheese was the best thing about the meal. Would recommend the turkey bacon wrap again but will stay clear of any type of fry. At the end we went with an Oreo shake to go and it was delicious! You get that true diner ambiance which is super cute. The service was okay. Everyone was friendly but they were packed and not staffed well.

Yelp
Busy little diner. At least when we arrived for Breakfast on a Monday morning. Parking was somewhat limited but luckily found a spot as soon as we arrived. We were seated within 5 minutes of walking up to the counter. The menu was huge. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner (BBQ) and even liquor. Woah. I ordered breakfast and it was a lot. Was only able to finish about half of it before asking for a to-go box. It was decent. The coffee was not hitting the spot. Probably a 2 on a scale of 5. My son ordered the butter noodles and it was disgusting. That shouldn't be hard to mess up but it was. Service was great and they were quick. The views were awesome. We are from Florida and don't get these kind of views while eating.

Yelp
Stopped by here for dinner after flying into DIAand was pleasantly surprised at the menu selection and food we ordered. Very large menu selection, reasonable prices, and portion sizes are huge (we should have split a plate and add a side if needed). The chicken fried chicken with 2 sides (salad and mashed potatoes) and meat loaf sandwich with clam chowder were all very good. We got seated immediately, and dervice was fast, friendly and attentive. Only downfall was the dinner roll was dry.

Yelp
This old school flare of a restaurant is what a Diner is supposed to be. Memorabilia of the 50's - 60's - 70's etc all on the wall. Diner style bar, tables and seats. I came here in October and LOVE the Margarita flight and last night my friend purchased the mimosa flight which was just as amazing. I came back for the Breakfast Colorado (braised pork in red chili) that came shredded with eggs & potatoes. melted cheese on the side & a tortilla. DELICIOUS!! This review is shout out my server Zahra. Attentive, friendly, had her favorites to recommend, made my mango margarita and overall made my experience great. Thank you.

Yelp
We stayed at the Gaylord and came to this diner on a busy Sunday morning. We joined the Yelp wait list and by the time we drove 5 minutes up the road, we only had to wait 5 minutes for our table. The menu is extensive and items are reasonably priced. The whole diner is decorated for the holidays, and the servers were wearing adorable holiday pajama outfits. Two of the us are gluten free (I'm Celiac) and the server was kind and knowledgeable. Their potatoes are GF and they also have GF buns and bread. I ordered a GF avocado toast with a side of turkey sausage, and my friend ordered the breakfast tacos. Another friend ordered the Denver omelette. All was delicious! I look forward to coming back!

Yelp
Went here for quick bite before checking to our nearby hotel. Staff are friendly and efficient- service up to par. Foods are tasty, delicious and generous size. Price is reasonable. Ambiance is a typical diner.

Yelp
At the end of our Colorado trip, my family and I decided to grab brunch near the airport. What a wonderful decision it was to come here! The service was immaculate. The diner definitely gave a family orientated atmosphere. All the food items we had were delicious! They gave large portions, and we left with full bellies and leftovers. A few of us decided to take a meal to go. It made a great dinner on the plane ride home. If I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely go back.

Yelp
Old school diner atmosphere with super friendly staff. Green chile is mild but good flavor. Chorizo is not greasy and a little spicy. Shakes looked amazing but haven't tried them yet. Pros: friendly staff, eggs cooked as ordered, tasty green chile and chorizo, large portion, quick service. Cons: corn cakes were really pancakes with a little corn flour in them, not what we thought a corn cake would be from all others we've had. Huevos rancheros was good but the tortilla was just folded into the plate, not much thought there. Needs to be toasted or something.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite diners BUT today was disaster. We were sat right away and that was the last thing that went right. Our wait person was Adriana. took our drink order then disappeared. Brought 2 waters and disappeared. again time passed and she came to take our order. Some more time passed and she delivered our food which was somewhat warm Asked for more water as she passed by us and she never returned . Had to go to front counter and ask manager for our bill. Worst response by manager was when he said " we had a rush". I have been in this diner many times where there are people waiting outside to get inside and service was excellent There were empty tables throughout the diner suring rhe time we were there and at least 5 wait people and the manager on the floPaid our bill and left Hated giving this review but this the the worst treatment of a customer ever. A simple "sorry" could have made this at least a bit more positive

Yelp
Good "inspired by old school" diner. Went about nine on a Saturday and their parking lot was absolutely full, so we had to park on the street about a block away. Not such a big deal, but be aware that there is no sidewalk for much of that short walk. 20 minute wait once we checked in, which went by reasonably quickly, in part because they had coffee and water set out for those waiting. As far as food, I'm a believer that huevos rancheros are one of the basic diner dishes that a place must have in Denver to be respectable. This one was pretty good. Maybe not the best of all time ever, but it was tasty. (Only complaint would be a bit of a dried and tough tortilla for the last third of it or so.) Otherwise, the green chile was good, the eggs perfectly over easy, and the hash browns nice and soft and crunchy. Good breakfast, really. My picky kids ate the vast majority of their dishes (pancakes and biscuits and gravy, respectively) and declared themselves fat and happy. That was the goal, so I feel we won. Service was sufficient and friendly in the midst of a big rush. You may get more talk time when they aren't slammed. I have no complaints on this front. Nice counter/bar at the front which even on a busy morning was essentially empty. If I were alone or with my GF, I'd totally go that option for zero wait. Lots of old framed magazine ads on the walls as well as old metal advertising signs. Definitely trying for a vibe. Overall, if you're in north Aurora and need/want a diner that's not IHOP, this is a great option. It's not in a fashionable part of town, but then what respectable diner is? We'll be back.

Yelp
If you're a diner fan like me you will appreciate Moonlight Diner Just a few miles from Denver Airport, make it a stop before departure. I ordered the 8 oz steak medium with 3 scrambled eggs with a side of green chile which was very good. The steak was cooked correctly and complimented the eggs which were fluffy and tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. The ambiance was spot on 1950s down to the chrome and plastic seat covers.

Yelp
Second time in and there is a big menu to choose from. Being new to the region there are several things not on the menus where I came from, so hard to choose. And I see their dinner menu has several bbq options that caught my eye. Don't need to come back for dinner....the Big BBQ Breakfast gave me the opportunity to have some bbq for breakfast! Not for those with a small appetite, unless you like leftovers, but I ordered it anyway. Comes with 3 eggs (my over medium eggs were cooked perfect!), hash browns (I subbed country potatoes, a bbq sausage, pulled pork, brisket, toast AND a pancake. Smoked sausage had good hearty flavor, pulled pork was tasty, as was the brisket. Comes with a side a bbq sauce, which has a bit of a kick, but I don't do spice. Toast was great with my eggs and pancake was a pleasant surprise. I say the pancake was a surprise because my spot back home had these very thick yummy pancakes and this at a glance was thin so I judged it before I tasted. Glad I did, tasty even without syrup. Having only arrived in Denver 3days ago and having just started my search for my new spot, I may have found it first time out, thanks to the recommendation of my boyfriend. Janessa was my server both times I've been here, and she was friendly, engaging and kept my ice tea filled up, which is a must! Gentleman walking around, who is either the owner or manager, was also open and friendly and engaging. All things I look for. I'll be back for sure and have no doubt that one of the seats at the counter will have my butt print in it.

Yelp
The Diner food you love and the experience you expect! Breakfast Entree: Moonlight Breakfast Sandwich ($12.00). A hearty basket filled with a sourdough roll loaded with eggs, sausage, bacon, covered in melted American Cheese, and mayo. Plus, Tater Tots on the side. (See my photo). Very filling and delicious! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Service: Quick, attentive, and friendly. They treat you like a friend, and it's what you expect from a local Diner! Ambiance: Quirky, funky, clever Diner decor. Always clean and it takes you back to "the good old days". See photo. Overall: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Moonlight Diner AND the 62nd Street BBq Catering that shares the space. Every time we go to the Diner, we grab some great BBQ and sides for takeout!
google avatar

Yelp
Food is good and nostalgic for sure, and the service is hit or miss. There's one lady there who ALWAYS has an attitude... always, and not just with me. She'll be hanging out for so long that when she brings your food, it's cold. Side note: I know it's a diner, but I do kinda wish they had more authentically healthy options, because they could be an actual competitor with other brunch chains... due to location and proximity.
google avatar

Keith W.

Yelp
Good food, nice staff and reasonable prices, what's not to love. Lived in denver for 6+ years and worked at the airport and it took me forever to finally try it out, kinda regret not trying it before but now I'm making up for it. I decided to get the Big burrito with chorizo since the waitress said it had some weight behind it and boy did it, but I ain't no quitter and it went down after a decent fight. If you really hungry I would recommend it so as to have a big meal for a good price. If you have a chance don't make the mistake I did and sit on it, give it a try. You'll probably like it.

Yelp
Anytime I fly into dinner it's customary to stop at the Moonlight diner . The atmosphere is classic casual with that expected retro ambiance. The staff is friendly and busy! This place has a vast menu so it's easy to find something for everyone. The burger menu has a "build your own" option with amazing options such as green chilies and pineapple. Beware! The burgers are HUGE ! Try the onion rings they really deliver . Also go for a chocolate shake . It's actually worth the calories. Prices are reasonable. If you go for breakfast ( which is available all day) the pancakes are giant, excellent eggs and crispy hash browns. This is the best restaurant located close to the Denver airport. Make it a must do stop for a hungry traveler!
google avatar

Mishell C.

Yelp
At best it was just ok , the server was distracted with her phone as she was having an argument with her boyfriend . CFS was chewy so I pretty much left it on the plate . Sides were good and ice tea was clean and fresh . Being an unsweet ice tea drinker it's rare to get a fresh glass . It's a very cute place and if I was in the area I would try something new

Yelp
In Denver for a few days and was looking for a diner. Moonlight Diner is a legit spot near the Denver Airport that has great food close to hotels. We visited on a early Saturday morning before the rush and was able to be seated outside as we brought out pet with us. Moonlight is a pet friendly restaurant that does provide water for those 4-legged friends. Our server was quick to get our drink order while we reviewed the incredibly diverse menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. They do serve breakfast all day for those who enjoy breakfast for dinner. Food was served quickly and perfectly seasoned. I'm not familiar too much with avocado toast but was ok from our friend who ordered. Other items we ordered were very delicious which made the experience even better. Moonlight does accommodate large groups but be warned parties will not be seated until everyone is ready. Moonlight is very popular and parking can be a challenge during the breakfast rush. Moonlight provided a great time and will be back. Give them a try!
google avatar

Jacinto R.

Yelp
Food is amazing however the noise was to much we brought some guests but couldn't hardly hear the conversation I would give it 4 stars when they tone down the noise maybe we picked the wrong time and day of the week to visit.
google avatar

Aimee S.

Yelp
Have always had an amazing brunch, great service, great mimosa & Bloody Mary flights!perfect location after or before a flight. Close to DIA & main highways.
google avatar

Chuck M.

Yelp
Only a 20 minute wait on a busy Saturday morning. The service was great, our waitress never left us waiting for anything. I always get the Denver Omelette when eating here, it's loaded and cooked perfectly. My wife didn't like the eggs or her French toast. Truthfully the French Toast wasn't well dipped in egg since have t agree. All in all this place has great old school ambiance and generally has good food. Great place for a weekend breakfast or brunch.
google avatar

Kimber H.

Yelp
Excellent food and really has diner vibes. It gets pretty packed on weekends so arrive early if you don't want to wait. The line does go pretty fast.
google avatar

Nick B.

Yelp
Needed lunch after flying into Denver, and one of our party noticed this place was on the way out of town, so we stopped. Absolutely no chance of disappointment. A classic looking stainless steel diner structure, all the standard posters about aviation since it's near the airport, and so on. The food, though. The menu wasn't overwhelming, lots of options to consider, but everyone went away happy. Full bar too, and fast and very friendly service.
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
This review is only based on my dinner experience. Service: 5 stars. The restaurant was really busy and our waitress was really good. She was triple seated and had no issue with any of the tables. Ambience: what a diner would look like. Food: 3 stars we ordered nachos minus the refried beans and the green chili and as you can see in the photo the shredded cheese isn't even melted. I'm assuming if we would had the green chili and refried beans the cheese might have melted more than it did. The mushroom Swiss burger was just okay and zucchini sticks were very greasy. I would come back , but only at breakfast since I know it's a lot better than their dinner.
google avatar

Judy L.

Yelp
Portions were HUGE, and not at the expense of flavor for the food. Southwest cakes - cornbread pancakes with jalapeño! These were very interesting and tasted great! Would not have sought out this combination prior to trying it here. Pancakes - regular pancakes were also delicious! Fluffy. Classic. Hash browns - these came with our entrees and were crispy and lovely!
google avatar

Yelp
Super amazing! My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves over here! We love the atmosphere with the Mountain View from your chair! The food is amazing hot and fresh and our server was amazing and kept checking on us even though they were super super busy! I definitely recommend locals and visitors to come here and eat! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Very good breakfast burrito and short stack pancakes. We loved it. Good choice by me!!

Yelp
Very good food and good service. Went twice. One time I got a lunch item which with a turkey blt wrap with spicy mayo. Was very good. The second time I got a Denver omelette w rye bread. It was excellent

Yelp
Sit down and shut up! This is about to get real.....Good! Classic American Diner fare set in a classic American Diner. Big portions worth a visit. My wife and I stopped by in our way home from the airport. Simple, easy, and good

Michael M.

Yelp
I love this place. Good food. Great vibe. Would have given 5 stars but... The last time we were there we had an extremely rude waitress. I get she was busy but.... And I ordered an old fashioned and got bourbon in a glass (half full) with an orange. I questioned the pour and the drink. The response? "I can put more ice in it" kinda snappy. Another guy asked if I wanted another.... Ummm no. She didn't charge me for it at least. I will be back but JUST for food. Was not happy. I never leave a bad tip but she did NOT get a great one. Sorry but not sorry!
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
Great experience and tasty food at the Moonlight diner. I have been there 3 times and finally getting to a review. Twice I had breakfast and once lunch. Servings are very large and expect leftovers. I had BBQ pork sandwich is awesome and smoked on-site. Fries are extra good with some seasoning they put on them. The environment is fun with a 50's dinner style and yes the Shakes are great! The service was good, friendly and quick even though they were busy. The only downside is parking and wait area has limited space and given its popularity the place feels packed most of the times. Recommend
google avatar

Myka S.

Yelp
Half the group ordered breakfast & half ordered lunch items. The breakfast stuff came out phenomenal but the dinner stuff was all bleh. I specifically ordered the double meat brisket with mac n cheese. The brisket was extremely dry so after the first few bites i decided to take it to go & let it sit in the bbq sauce to eat at a later time. The portion was also not double meat because the second portion was all mini pieces of meat. Also, the mac n cheese tasted like it came from frozen. Definitely stick to breakfast stuff when here !
google avatar

Doug P.

Yelp
We stopped in because it was close to the airport and we had an early flight. It's on e of the old Mobil home/manufactured housing style diners that were semi-popular a couple of decades back. The building looks like it's seen better days. The food portions were good. Prices were good. Service was good. Food was average. If you have a flight it's a much better choice than eating at the airport. Overall we were satisfied with our meals.
google avatar

Brandon M.

Yelp
This breakfast was extremely flavorful and delicious and filled the void that I was experiencing after a flight into Denver this morning. I highly recommend this place. I was blown away at how fast the food came out and it was extremely delicious.
google avatar

Jeanine A.

Yelp
The building itself is enough to draw you in. Old school diner vibes inside and out. Great menu. A little dirty though...I try to block that part out...but it factors for sure. They serve liquor. Plus. Great selection. Plus. I've been here twice on two separate business trips and the servers are...I can't find the words. I guess I would describe them as "nice" but not friendly. The food is comforting with some creative options too. It's a good spot with some kitschy appeal too.

Yelp
50s throw back Diner. From the outside in you're back in time with milkshakes and music. Service was awesome and the prices were on point. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and added jalapeños. The beer battered fries came with the meal and were very good. The grilled chicken sandwich was great and not over cooked.
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
I felt the ratio of screaming babies vs. loud adults was slightly off, but the food was good and the service was fast. All sarcasm aside, I'd probably go back.
google avatar

Alphonso H.

Yelp
There is a girl who works there who acts like we're nothing her EVERY time we go eat here. Young Latina who is a hostess. She has the worst attitude and reminds me why I dislike this generation so much. Always has AirPods in and would rather play on her iPhone than help you out. Other than that, the rest of the staff is great. Shout out to the brotha who works there and served in the navy. Very nice man who know how to treat people let alone the customer right.
google avatar

Blaze T.

Yelp
The person taking the order was incredibly polite, and honored my request of having the gravy on the side. They told me about 15 minutes, and that's when I showed up. I saw my food on the counter when the phone rang and the manager said "just one second"... I get it, he's already got my business and ignoring a phone call would be missing out on more... but it ended up being a very lengthy phone call, and there were two other people available to check me out but "my manager took your order, so he will have to check you out" seemed weird, I waited for a while. NBD By the time I got it to my hotel a couple blocks away the breading was almost completely soggy and falling apart; the meat was incredibly tough and would be almost impossible to eat with a plastic fork. The saving grace was the gravy, which was really good; you could dip cardboard in it and have a decent meal.. if I could do it again I'd go with the chicken fried chicken, but only if it were to be eaten right away Dine in, get a milkshake; don't get takeout

Sean G.

Yelp
I stayed at a nearby hotel so this diner was within short walking distance. I indulged in the Reuben one night - it was good overall but could have used more dressing as the meat was somewhat dry. The next night I had the Albuquerque Turkey - again, good, but very big and missing some flavor. I enjoyed my meal each night, but wasn't blown away unfortunately. The staff was great from start to finish and the environment is fun and comfortable.

Yelp
I didn't think I'd write a review about this diner. We had just dropped a friend off at the airport and wanted a diner experience with pancakes and this place was close and looked well-reviewed. What surprised me was the Southwest Cakes: "Cornbread-style pancake with diced green chiles, topped with pork green chile & sausage white gravy...." Topped with pork green chile and sausage white gravy?! The balance of the mild spice and of the savory gravy was really good and made for a very filling meal. I recommend if you're a sausage gravy fan! We ate outside on the patio. Service was good -- keeping our water and coffee filled. The rest of the food was filling and as one would expect at a diner for breakfast. The pancakes we ordered seemed a little flat / not as fluffy as we would have liked, but we would order again, thinking it was just an off batch.

Yelp
There can be a wait and the parking lot is not awesome, but the food and the service are always good. I really like the brisket in a breakfast burrito. The drinks are delish! It's definitely in our regular rotation.
