Google
This is a nice corner cafe - kind of built into the adjacent hotel. They serve the usual kinds of coffees, and they have a nice selection of cookies, cakes, sandwiches etc. which looked real delicious. I got my cappuccino which was nicely foamed up. Overall a good place to go for a coffee and snack.

Excellent coffee! Tamika was so kind and very helpful. Great staff and great coffee, I highly recommend this place. Thank you from your friends at ETSC.

Ke’asha was so sweet, friendly and attentive! We were greeted the second we walked in and LOVED the ambience. Our food and drinks were ready within just a few minutes. And the coffee and food was great!

Came for a cup of coffee but experienced more thanks to Ms Tamika. She’s very welcoming and kind. I’ve never had coffee at moonshot but she made my experience one to remember. I also had a cream cheese danish and it was mouth watering……her recommendation by the way. Thank you Tamika

I noticed that there was nobody in this coffee shop every morning when I came down from my hotel room. Now I know why. I ordered a coffee iced latte and it was probably the most mediocre coffee I’ve ever had. They did not stir it up at all so the first taste was pure sugar, but it was just the smallest amount at the bottom and then the rest was what tasted like almond milk. The coffee didn’t actually have any coffee flavor . The fun part is that they charged me 11 bucks for this coffee that was not even good. So disappointing… Now I know why the places is empty every morning. Stick to the free coffee in a little while it’s actually better.

Caffeinated Confident

Google
True coffee bar with a diner feel. We rated the single origin drip 8.3, the single origin espresso 8.4 and the Roxy 8.5. Moonshot had some great looking pastries/treats and sandwich also. If you are ever near the Sounds Stadium definitely stop in and try one to their specialty drinks.

Google
Coffee was ok, not worth the price definitely. But the worst part was the frittata I ordered. It was so salty and if you look at the photos it is not what a Frittata should look or taste like.

Shannon

Google
The coffee was really nice and everyone seemed to be pretty friendly. The waffle was a little sweeter and more dense than I'm used to, but was still pretty delicious.

Yelp
I kicked off my Spring with a Moonshot. I'd been pretty curious about this section of Downtown as a place for locals rather than just tourists but I could never find the time or reason to make it over. On an early Tuesday morning in early Spring, I decided it was time to make it happen. As you might guess, parking was an issue. No lots. Scant street parking. Threats of bail and jail for any wrongdoing. I was starting to understand why this was a tourist spot. I circled a few times and managed to snag a meter spot as someone pulled off. If you want to come here, you have to *really* want it. I walked in and wasn't greeted. That's a personal pet peeve for me wrt coffee shops. I sighed, tried to make myself more noticeable and eventually was waited on. Remember, I came in the morning. Despite the time of day, Moonshot was out of bagels, muffins and juice. I sighed again. I was here and in the words of Denzel, I was leavin' with somethin'... but dang. I was really working for it. I finally settled on an iced ube latte. At $6.50 I thought it was a tad overpriced but I was too tired to fight by this time. I paid, waited, got my drink, and I left. I was pleased by the visually striking vibrant purple of my concoction. I was equally pleased with its creamy sweetness. Given other preceding circumstances, this would be a 4-star review. But given the (first-world) problems and headaches along with closer (to me) coffee shops, 3-stars it is. YMMV.

Yelp
Cute little spot in the Marriott TownePlace! I will be honest, I didn't expect much of a hotel coffee bar but I would absolutely stop by here even I wasn't staying at the hotel. The ladies behind the counter were very kind and chipper. The breakfast quesadilla was stuffed to the brim with bacon, green chilies, and more. The brown sugar vanilla iced latte was lovely, and they make many of their syrups in house. Would return, and is a big upside to staying at the towneplace!

Yelp
I was hopeful and excited to find this cafe on the 1st floor of my hotel, but the reality of it was disappointing. The "cappuccino" that I was served had quite literally NO foam in it, the milk was scalded, and the espresso was burned. I asked about making a modification to one of the breakfast items, and I was told that all the food options were pre-made. The ambiance was pleasant, and the people were nice, but the actual coffee and food were DEEPLY disappointing.

Yelp
Best coffee shop downtown! It's out of the way, not in busy broadway and it's never packed. The baristas are so sweet and the coffee actually tastes like coffee not just sugar. I always get the iced vanilla latte or the iced mocha with almond milk and it's delicious every time! Be nice to the staff and tip them well!
google avatar

Yelp
Chai latte with oak milk was delicious! A little pricey but delicious. Husbands double shot with whip cream was strong and he also enjoyed it. We thought there was food but I guess not on a Thursday or something. Location is connected to the hotel.
google avatar

Yelp
Updating my review to reflect the last few months I've visited - coffee has been very disappointing regardless of what I order - my cappuccinos have tasted solely like milk, and the hot drip, iced coffee, and even Americanos have tasted close to just acidic water at most. I'm not sure why the quality has gone down so much in the last year, but it feels ridiculous paying a decent price for coffee here just to be continuously disappointed.
google avatar

Rebecca H.

Yelp
I was staying in the adjacent hotel and wanted a quick source of caffeine. I didn't want to do anything crazy, so I ordered a drip coffee with oat milk for GF and myself. The person who served me was very friendly and that was appreciated. Unfortunately, there was probably one drop of oat milk in the coffee so it was essentially black. Ick. I wasn't sure what the sugar situation was but no sweetener or flavor was offered. Disappointing.

Yelp
The epitome of a great unassuming coffee bar. This spot is located in the lobby of the Marriott in Germantown, but it's completely closed off so you're bothered with hustle and bustle of bushy hotel lobby. Moonshot Coffee Bar offers all of the classic coffee drinks, both hot an cold and a array of breakfast foods. Like croissants, muffins, and breakfast sandwiches. If you're looking for a place to get some work done, there's plenty of tables and open bar space here for those pesky laptop sessions.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick morning pick me up and their matcha really hit the spot! I'm pretty picky about my matcha, but the flavor was on point and not too sweet! Staff was super friendly too! Kitchen was down the day we went because they were understaffed, so a little bummed I didn't get to try their food.

Yelp
This coffee joint is within 500 meters of my work so I was delighted to see a place I could walk to during a break. I have been here twice. The only complaint I have is the valet taking up ALL the spots out front - even at 7 AM. I know its not the fault of Moonshot, but the hotel. It would be nice if they had valet only during the evenings, then leave the metered spots open during the day for someone who wants to quickly stop in and grab a coffee. All the meters are bagged though and it's restricted. You have to park adjacent to the jail house if you want to park. The theme is bright and welcoming. Pinks and cream colors. The first time I went in, I got my usual, iced redeye with cream added. I also got a breakfast sandwich. The wait time was not bad, the staff were friendly, and COVID conscious, which is great. I think I got a croissant one the first time but a sandwich that seemed to be on a roll the second time. They covered it in poppy seeds that time and, next time I go I will ask not to get that one. Overall a great place, I won't complain about the prices because these new times are scary and we have to be supportive. The price of everything is going up and that is just a fact of life.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick coffee while visiting Nashville. Quick service. The Disney breakfast sandwich was delicious and they have a really great coffee menu. I had an iced coffee infused with lavender syrup. I was a bit skeptical, but it was on point and definitely hit the spot. Would recommend to those who are going in solo to do work or for groups.

Yelp
Visited here with friends during a stay at a nearby AirBNB. Was told food could not be modified to accommodate removing cheese/dairy. Served incorrect food at first. Breakfast sandwiches were ice cold to the touch. One sandwich had a moldy slice of cheese in it.

Yelp
The cutest little coffee shop! It shares a lobby with a hotel, which is also pretty chic. The aesthetics are so cute, the music is a Lowkey vibe. Perfect place to chat with your friend. I brought my computer and did some work in between touring around Nashville while I wait for a friend. Perfect stop! I definitely recommend the ginger shot, although I didn't get food.. it looked realllllllly good. I also got a hot matcha latte, which is also a good idea. Five stars!

Yelp
lMoonshot Coffee Bar is in the first level of the new-ish TownePlace Suites hotel - but you can access the coffeeshop from outside without going into the hotel. I wish it had been around when I worked on James Robertson Pkway a few years ago! The coffeeshop is charming - very cute inside. There's some seating, but it's not large. We got our coffees to go. My husband got a classic Americano, but I tried their "Snow Day Drink Special" - Cardamom Rose Latte! Definitely a sweet treat over the snowy weekend. They also have a small pastry fridge with some pastries and sandwiches and drinks. I grabbed a lemon poppy seed treat for later, which was sweet and tasty. According to their menu, they also have some breakfast and lunch options. The service was great. There isn't a lot in the immediate area around the coffeeshop other than the detention center and bail bondsmen's offices, but it's a quick walk from James Robertson Pkwy/Musicians Hall of Fame/Capitol/Nashville Public Square Park. I'm not sure if they have any dedicated parking (if they do, I didn't see it), but we were to street park easily and quickly nearby (but that it was a Sunday during the bad snow of February 2021). I'm not sure if they offer any online ordering (Toast, Doordash, etc.), but we were in and out quickly after ordering our coffees, and everyone inside was masked (except for people eating at a table that's a distance away from the ordering/coffee counter), so it felt like you could safely get a coffee during COVID. All in all, a really charming coffee shop with some great coffee, good service, and a lot of style. Stop by if you're in the area or walking around this part of downtown/Germantown.

Yelp
So far, alongside The Well, easily my favorite coffee hits in Nashville! Visited for the first time with some friends, noticed the original eclectic and creative menu ripe for picking, I went for the Cafe ol Fashioned and found it strong, dark, and balanced like a late night business cocktail. The atmosphere fits the classy fancy hotel neighbors vibes well, lots to enjoy here for staying a while, good room for solo or sipping with friends. Wish I could've tried other beverages but now have more reasons to come back to Nashville! Great to see a basic familiar menu on top the changing specialty brews, wish they had the ounces alongside so I know how much to expect. The guys behind the counter were super friendly and made for pleasant interactions during our visit. Can highly recommend Moonshot!

Yelp
I can't currently recommend this place because they didn't really have any dairy free or sugar free options. I'm not sure if it's because they are new? However when I asked about it they didn't seem very accommodating. They had oatmilk, but I'm gluten free as well so other options would have helped. They did say they were getting a new menu in a month or two so maybe I'll try again later. However the wait was really long because they were so busy and they have to make drinks to send upstairs to the partnering restaurant that serves coffee from here. So be prepared to wait. The location is nice, just outside of Germantown and near the capital. Very trendy vibe and it's an extension of a hotel so they have a lot of downtown guests and tourists/ bachelorette party groups. I hope they do well so that this area can grow. But first I hope when they upgrade the menu they remember the dairy free population of Nashville. We are growing in numbers as well.

Yelp
One of Nashville's greatest and most creative spots is this place right here! Tucked inside a Marriott hotel, just on the outskirts of downtown. There is great metered parking along the streets it borders, I have always been able to find a place to park. This place is so stunning and cute with all the open light coming in from the windows, and bright colors. I feel happiness just walking in the doors. The baristas are top notch, so friendly, and they seem to really care about the tastes and flavors they are using. It shows because their drinks are amazing. Flavors I would not imagine to like together, seem to effortlessly work for an amazing drink. I have been several times, trying their signature Guinevere latte, and since tried their season drinks like the matcha mosa, arnold palmer, ube latte, and dirty teddy.

Yelp
This is my new favorite coffee bar in Nashville. I absolutely love this place! From the very kind barista, to their adorably stocked pastry case, to their delicious iced coffee... This is my favorite. I ordered an iced coffee black and an iced chai with skim milk. They use MAD chai, which apparently is a local company. It was the most delicious chai I have ever had in my life. I am going to continue to look for this chai brand, because it was literally so delicious. The iced coffee was also really good. Iced coffee can have a tendency to be a little bit better, but this one was really smooth. I love this place, the aesthetic, the service, and for coffee. I cannot wait to return. It is attached to a really cute little hotel, but it does not feeling the hotel coffee shop.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a charming coffee shop. The ube cream is delicious. It actually tastes like ube. Note: ube and purple yam are too different from each other. The drink was super refreshing. I enjoyed the dirty teddy, but it was too sweet. I had to add tea to water it down. Parking is tricky on the weekends. Street parking is free if you can find one. This is a very cozy dining room area perfect for studying or working. The vibe is pretty chill; outdoor seating is perfect for enjoying the weather.
google avatar

Avery S.

Yelp
Lovely atmosphere and great service! Everything is delicious, fresh, and quickly made. The window seating is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee and pastries as you look out. The menu has very unique but great coffee drinks.
google avatar

Yelp
Just stopped for a coffee when in downtown Nashville. Had a latte with Vanilla and it was delicious. They flavors they offered are very unique. You can get anything from herbal to spicy to floral to sweet. They have a great selection of drinks and lattes. Food menu offered a few breakfast sandwiches. Coffee bar is nice and bright. It's adjacent to a hotel lobby. Staff were not overly friendly, therefore the 4 star review.
google avatar

Julia T.

Yelp
If you're looking for cool funky drinks and a ornate outgoing place, this is your spot! They have really cool speciality drinks. I got the dirty teddy and sweet ube latte. Between the two, the dirty teddy was better. The ube one was wayyyy too sweet. But I was kinda sad because the dirty teddy didn't look anything like it does on Instagram ): oh well, it tasted great! I think this place is really cool, but it's in the weirdest location across from a bail bond shop Overall, it's worth checking out!
google avatar

Tanner Y.

Yelp
Sadly, I have had mixed experiences here. One day produced a really solid americano and the next produced a sub par drip coffee. Also, as a coffee guy, I'm willing to pay a pretty penny for good and unique coffee. However, I have had experiences where the coffee origin/profile was unknown by the staff. I don't fail the staff for this, rather the establishment. When you charge over $4 for a cup of drip coffee, you should train your baristas to know things such as origin, profile, roast, etc.
google avatar

Kevin G.

Yelp
It's certainly cute, I'll give it that. The drip coffee is mid at best, a cortado was oddly sweet (maybe added sugar without asking us)? Breakfast sandwich was a slice of melted cheese and ham on a burger bun, I l'm not even kidding. Avocado toast was so-so. Blueberry muffin was warmed (without asking us), super dry. Can't recommend this place unfortunately

Yelp
Was on my way through Nashville on a road trip and had a huge selection of coffee shops to choose from. I settled on moonshot because it seems like it had the right ambience for what I was going for somewhere quick where I could grab coffee sit down to read or journal for a little bit, but nothing overwhelming or super crowded where seating is packed (even outdoor seating There was a really good flow for Saturday morning and I didn't wait too long for my latte and I noticed others getting their food in a timely manner. They also seem to enjoy it. I myself only got a iced latte. The barista was extremely kind and friendly as well. I got my latte half sweet it was perfect for me. They also do you have a good selection of dairy dairy alternatives. I've noticed some other shops do not. I can't give it a five star is cause. I didn't try the food and I've only been there once before my drop in experience it was a very nice coffee shop. It was cute and done really well. I would recommend it to anyone coming through or spending some time in Nashville. I definitely think the hotel attached is spoiled to have this joint attached.
google avatar

Gena L.

Yelp
Super cute and adorable shop. Aesthetically approved. The staff was super nice. Wanted a super cool coffee and this is where I went and I was not disappointed.
google avatar

Allie D.

Yelp
The staff was so nice to me what the heck!? I needed a place to post up before my flight out of Nashville and it was perfect. The Disney Dad sandwich was delish and the matcha was also good! Felt comfy to read for a few hours.
google avatar

Olivia B.

Yelp
Loved this spot! They had some amazing feature drink options and I had the sweet ube latte. It comes with oat milk. The barista said it's best iced so I went with that. It was DELICIOUS! Friendly staff, I love the variety of seating options (bar, tables, booths) and the ambiance is really nice. The music was a little loud we felt like we had to talk over it for our conversation. Also parking is a stinker here. There are 5 free spots adjacent to moonshot. Otherwise it's paid lots or street meter parking. I've said it before and I'll say it again, who has coins??? Anyway, worth stopping by and giving this place a shot! The coffee drinks are great.
google avatar

Jeremy C.

Yelp
I had this place saved for a few days until fate stepped in and made me unknowingly walk by it after a Yelp event at Third and Home. The shop is ADORABLE inside. I was in love with the aesthetic, almost retro-y diner-y feeling of the shop. I went with their Oishii specialty drink, which was an "almond matcha shakerato". Not sure what that exactly means, but that's beside the point: it was DELICIOUS. Smooth and creamy matcha drink with a splash of sweetness. Had I not eaten at the Third and Home even beforehand, I absolutely would've tried their omelette. Instead, I got a carrot cake cream pie as a late dessert. Very sweet and delicious as well. Super cake-y and a perfect choice for a quick snack. Gotta come back soon!

Yelp
Heard through a friend about Moonshot recently opening, so per usual my caffeine addicted self had to come give it a try! Moonshot is one of the many recent coffee shops that are located in a hotel. This makes parking slightly tough but there is plenty of street parking! Upon walking in, the environment was very friendly and welcoming. The color schemes make you feel very uplifted and it is very spacious - a COVID plus. I got the Guineure Latte, which has rose and lavender. The barista recommended it to me and was very thoughtful in figuring out what I wanted. I also got the Sobaya, it's a dish featuring chicken, black soba noodles, and other good veggies. Overall I give the latte an 8/10 and the Sobaya a 9/10. If you're a photo savvy person who loves good food and coffee this is the place for you! Definitely see myself coming back here and was extremely impressed. 4.5/5
google avatar

Dakota A.

Yelp
The ambience was wonderful, it's really clean, and the shop is spacious. Most importantly, the coffee was delicious and not too pricey. Easy 5 Stars! If I live in Nashville this would be one of my spots.
google avatar

Yelp
LOVE IT! Worth a drive if you are staying absolutely anywhere in Nashville. Located on Gay street right next to a hotel you might miss it just driving by. The atmosphere is amazing it's so adorable! I ordered the Disney Dad sandwich on an Everything Bagel....... YUM I keep waking up craving it! Maple sausage, egg, cheese, and jalapeño honey mustard aioli, it was chef's kiss. Cant recommend enough.
google avatar

Yelp
Y'all the Teddy Grahm latte i got at Moonshot coffee was INCREDIBLE!!! The dirty chai had oat milk infused with Teddy Grahm's and then they topped the latte with Teddy Grahm's. The first sip was delicious, but as the cookies softened and sunk to the bottom you got little cookie crumbles with each sip it was truly delicious. And can we talk about this lighting?! The coffee shop was adorable, with great lighting and cute floral decor on each table, creative a light airy space to put you in the perfect mood to start your day!

Sean M.

Yelp
Came in to get a coffee an Joanna helped me so much, recommended drinks. I just moved out here to nashville an she gave the most amazing customer service. She deserves a raise ,and the avocado toast and the waffle was amazing .AJ was nice to my wife and very welcoming

Jessica D.

Yelp
I like walking here for coffee some mornings. The hours online say open 7-3 on Saturday. However I got here at 8AM this morning there were two employees behind the counter and the doors were locked. Maybe the online hours are incorrect? If so that should be adjusted.
google avatar

Hannah K.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this little coffee shop! The service was excellent & the food was incredible. I got the avocado toast and it was unlike anything I've had before. They added peas to the mixture and it really added a fun additional texture & taste experience. Additionally, the latte was delicious and the shop had a fun and trendy atmosphere.
google avatar

Angie N.

Yelp
Really liked the vibes here and the staff were so great! My oat milk latte was delicious.
google avatar

Nina G.

Yelp
Such good coffee and the guys working there were soooo handsome good vibes too. We went three days in a row!!
google avatar

Amber R.

Yelp
I'm really upset that they changed the drink menu. The Guinevere was my absolute favorite and I was told that they were getting rid of that drink. I did like the Oishii, I'm not sure if that stayed on the menu. I'm shocked people like the new drinks because the dirty teddy was terrible. The food is okay, it was over priced before inflation went up this year but I stopped going there because the atmosphere changed overall. They were never opened late enough and they were kinda airheads, they didn't understand good service and treating all customers equally. The guys that were there last seemed to be more concerned with their looks than providing great customer service. When you regularly patronize a coffee shop you hope to build a rapport with your barista.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop underneath Towneplace Suites. Lots of natural lighting and pastel colors. The coffee is decent, I've been many times but their lattes aren't consistent. Some of the same orders have been super sweet, not sweet enough or tasted watered down. Price point is a little high for the quality. Honestly wouldn't mind coming back but I won't be giving them my money again. The owner or manager (he's in there all the time) is incredibly rude and unwelcoming. Stares at you while you're looking over the menu as if he's ready to take your order so he can get you out. I've been there when it opens at 8am and asks you not to come in until minutes later. Understandable for him but early coffee getters also have places to be. Just not the establishment I will continue to support when there's other local coffee shops down the streets that are much more welcoming.
google avatar

Denise S.

Yelp
Best cafe latte by Australian standards, in China cup not cardboard.Very small food selection. Staff very friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Great little coffee shop. I had the Ube w/oat milk and u date or 10/10. Friendly service and nice ambiance.
google avatar

Lisa D.

Yelp
Moonshot is a precious gem. Coffee is delicious and they offer food items as well. Service was fast and kind. Plus the place is super cute. Bright and lively. I definitely recommend checking it out.
google avatar

Chase H.

Yelp
The Ube Sweet Cream Latte was absolutely perfectly balanced, not too sweet but just right! It is called Ube Sweet Cream after all! Well done Moonshot, can't wait to come back and try the Dirty Teddy!!
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
I love this coffee shop! It's cool & cozy with a variety of tasty drink & food options. They make a mean cappuccino and their Guinevere is SO GOOD (rose, lavender latte). The staff have always been so welcoming and accommodating during my visits (thanks Logan & Olivia!) Definitely a worthwhile study spot & hangout vibe, too!
google avatar

Harry H.

Yelp
I like their espresso. It's more lighter than normal espresso. They need more milk options. Whole is their only dairy choice.
google avatar

Mason B.

Yelp
Such a cute little coffee shop! The vibes are so bright and clean and simple. The coffee is a little bit on the more expensive side but it was delicious and great quality. We got great service and there are a few food options on the menu but we did not give them a try. There is plenty of comfortable spots to sit here as well.. some larger booths even- which can be hard to find at a coffee shop. Overall we really enjoyed having our first cup of coffee here in the morning and recommend you stop by if you're in the area!

Robert J.

Yelp
Cute vibes, barista with the red hair was accommodating and lovely. House roasted coffee from the looks of it too :)

Yelp
This is such a cute, vibrant coffee bar just a block or two outside of the busyness of downtown. It's adjacent to the TownePlace Suites and right in the heart of the capitol district, which places it perfectly in an active area while leaving you with a little elbow room to really get work done or enjoy your favorite book. As far as the menu goes, they have various wonderful selections ranging from decadent coffee, teas, and delicious breakfast sandwiches as well. I got the brioche breakfast sandwich with sausage - which was a gamble for me as someone who doesn't do well with traditionally greasy foods. The sandwich was so filling, fresh, and light -- I felt like I was getting a little healthier with every bite. If you're looking for a great atmosphere for breakfast, or to grab a fresh cup of joe away from the immediate buzz of busy touristy central -- this is a great spot to try.
