Romantic, cozy waterfront restaurant with wine, sake & Japanese-fusion small plates.
"Queen Anne has a ton of sushi spots, from casual takeout places to restaurants that specialize in conveyor belt sushi, and even somewhere that’s licensed to serve poisonous pufferfish. The best sushi in the neighborhood, however, is at Moontree Sushi & Tapas. We’d come here just for the spicy tuna (either in a roll or on top of crispy rice), which is the best in town, but you should also take advantage of their lunch special. It includes a plate of excellent nigiri with fish like salmon, hamachi topped with scallion, and sea bream in a black pepper marinade." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley, gabe guarente
"Moontree is our favorite casual sushi spot in Queen Anne that's good for a quick dinner, and it’s located just a block away from Climate Pledge. The atmosphere is chill (though that changes if there's a Kraken game), and you’ll find some great versions of fatty tuna belly and uni. If nigiri isn’t your thing, the izakaya-style snacks are excellent, too. Spend some time with the very tender chicken karaage, or the crispy rice rectangles topped with spicy tuna that we’d eat by the bowl-full in front of the TV." - gabe guarente, aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

"This Japanese restaurant in Queen Anne is our favorite spot for a casual sushi delivery meal, and they happen to have some of the best spicy tuna in town. Get some in maki roll form, but don’t miss it also topped on salty crispy rice as an appetizer, alongside cornstarch-skirted pork gyoza, chicken karaage, and fried cauliflower with truffle aioli. It’s hard to be too upset about interceptions and questionable pass interference calls when truffles are involved." - aimee rizzo
