The 19 Best Sushi Restaurants In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Queen Anne has a ton of sushi spots, from casual takeout places to restaurants that specialize in conveyor belt sushi, and even somewhere that’s licensed to serve poisonous pufferfish. The best sushi in the neighborhood, however, is at Moontree Sushi & Tapas. We’d come here just for the spicy tuna (either in a roll or on top of crispy rice), which is the best in town, but you should also take advantage of their lunch special. It includes a plate of excellent nigiri with fish like salmon, hamachi topped with scallion, and sea bream in a black pepper marinade." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley, gabe guarente

The 13 Best Restaurants In Queen Anne - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Moontree is our favorite casual sushi spot in the neighborhood. The atmosphere is chill (though that changes if there's a Kraken game that night), and you’ll find some great versions of fatty tuna belly and uni. But if nigiri isn’t your thing, the izakaya-style snacks are excellent. Spend some time with the very tender chicken karaage, or the crispy rice rectangles topped with spicy tuna that we’d eat as a snack in front of the TV." - aimee rizzo

10 Best Restaurants & Bars Near Climate Pledge Arena - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Moontree is our favorite casual sushi spot in Queen Anne that's good for a quick dinner, and it’s located just a block away from Climate Pledge. The atmosphere is chill (though that changes if there's a Kraken game), and you’ll find some great versions of fatty tuna belly and uni. If nigiri isn’t your thing, the izakaya-style snacks are excellent, too. The Best Delivery To Get For The Seahawks Game - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This Japanese restaurant in Queen Anne is our favorite spot for a casual sushi delivery meal, and they happen to have some of the best spicy tuna in town. Get some in maki roll form, but don’t miss it also topped on salty crispy rice as an appetizer, alongside cornstarch-skirted pork gyoza, chicken karaage, and fried cauliflower with truffle aioli. It’s hard to be too upset about interceptions and questionable pass interference calls when truffles are involved." - aimee rizzo

My husband and I booked out this restaurant for our wedding reception party and it was thanks to Moontree (and their PHENOMENAL management, staff, and chefs) that brought our dream celebration to life. Their cozy, urban, and elegant interior made for the perfect atmosphere and I cannot say enough good things about the quality of their dishes. Everything is served with the freshest ingredients, their presentation is absolutely beautiful, and you’ll find creative twists on japanese classics with a flavor you won’t find anywhere else. Considering the elegance and quality of their dishes, their price point is a steal! The open kitchen and being able to watch the masters work their magic is an added plus! Their management and staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and the kindness and diligence we experienced with them was a quality of service that isn’t found easily elsewhere. My family and I make the trip to Seattle to frequent this place and they knock it out of the park every single time. It really is worth the trip. Whether you are looking for an elevated outing or searching for the perfect place to host your loved ones, Moontree is my answer!

This is some of the freshest fish I’ve had in Seattle. The seabream tasted like it was caught that morning. All of the flavors were good. Server was attentive. I personally did not like the aesthetic of their green tea pot as it did not match the plating at all. There was a slight issue with out salmon but I said something and they took care of it. It’s about trust and they did a great job responding to our concern. We went for lunch and I highly recommend. Also the aegadashi tofu was the best tofu I’ve had. We mostly stuck to sushi though. Also, this is premium sushi so it will cost more and is not the place for expecting a cheap meal. I thought the prices were fine for the quality.

Google
While looking for a restaurant near the hotel, I decided to try this place after seeing its high review ratings and the appealing photos. The food turned out to be far better than expected, so I ordered various dishes paired with drinks, relishing the joy of dining after quite a while. I particularly appreciated the sushi selection, which included plenty of white-fish options. The rice grains were not clumped together, spreading gently in the mouth, which added to the overall excellent experience. However, the Keso Karaage squid legs were a bit too dry, and I thought the wasabi variety and aagedashi tofu would have been better if they had been crispier before soaking in the sauce. I definitely intend to visit this place again and plan to try other dishes next time. It’s a spot I highly recommend.

Google
I ordered the tuna poke and my wife ordered the fancy Seattle sushi. She raved about hers, and my poke was some of the best I've ever had. We were one of two tables at the time (shortly after traditional lunch time), and our service was attentive and timely. Even the two cocktails we ordered were good. I would HIGHLY recommend!

Google
Found this place listed on The Infatuation’s Best Sushi in Seattle list. Went on a Wednesday night and OMG was it loud. Large parties, wiling out, it was like college-town sushi restaurant vibes. Couldn’t hear myself think. Crispy rice with spicy tuna was good, ended up getting two orders. Yuzu hamachi crudo was not bad. Ordered the nigiri combo (chef’s selection), was a little disappointed by the chef’s fish selection offered. Did not feel like we need to come back here. The cocktails are not good, made me feel like I took a Time Machine to 2003. Ordered a Lychee Midori, it was the sweetest drink I’ve ever had in my life - couldn’t even finish it. Overall, meh.

my boyfriend took me here for my birthday. i had the chu toro nigiri, and the moontree roll (pictured here), and my bf got the red dragon roll. 10/10, some of the best sushi ive had

The food was absolutely top notch! Some of the best I have ever had! Service was excellent and fast! Prices reasonable, just a little loud.

Google
Unassuming, awesome sushi spot near Climate Pledge Amphitheater! We got sat right away at sushi bar, even though they were super busy. Our highball were stiff and the sushi was super fresh!

Luis Z.

Yelp
Great spot! Went on a Monday afternoon and nearly empty. The space feels good for a date night. Highly recommend the Hama Lava! Citrusy with a red miso sauce and a nice crunch with the fired onions. Services was great and very accommodating.

Yelp
Sushi goodness before Matt Rife at Climate Pledge... great walking distance to the arena and bomb ass food and drinks!! Got their old-fashioned whiskey and 4 sushi rolls total. They made a wrong roll so told us to keep it on the house and made a correct one. Expensive but what's cheap anymore these days in Seattle or anywhere else for that matter, right? Not only does it have quality/great food and drinks but the service was amazing and waiter was attentive! Would def be back again! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Let me start by saying the food here is pretty great. Creative dishes and quality ingredients. Where this establishment is lacking is the service. I eat at a lot of tapas restaurants. For me it's a nice way to dine as it's not easy to cook like this at home, you know 8-10 dishes. With this in mind, it's a dinning experience and the dishes should be delivered with intelligent design and coursed out. Not here, get ready to speed eat and have all the dishes hot or cold dumped on the table whenever the kitchen throws them out. Biggest richest dish came out first, what! Go ahead a torch my tastebuds. Place could be really great, but clearly management is not up to par.

Yelp
We went on a Friday night dinner and they do take reservations. It is a small place but has plenty of seating. Service is great and very fast. We were greeted as soon as we entered and the food was fresh and tasted good. Both the sushi we had which was the California roll and Seattle special roll were good and we also tried the gyoza. Highly recommend reserving because the place gets busy!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food and cocktails but parking was a nightmare!! Make sure you call for a reservation, even on a weekday, because this place gets busy.

Yelp
This was the first sit-down restaurant that I tried during a recent Seattle visit. The price appears to be more expensive and portions are smaller, but the quality and cuts were good, and the fish was very fresh. I tried their chirashi lunch special and every sashimi piece hit the spot. I just wish it was bigger because I could have easily eaten 2-3 portions.... Maybe it seemed smaller because the bowl they use is enormous.

Aster C.

Yelp
Great Japanese tapas spot! Small portions with lots of variety -- perfect for sharing. We tried a few small plates, they were delicious. The nigiri combo was amazing, with 8 different kinds of fresh, delicious fish. Everything we tried tasted great. The place is modern, not too big, with a good crowd and vibe. Service was friendly and fast. Highly recommended!

Yelp
We were grateful to have found this lovely & clean Japanese restaurant within walking distance of our Seattle hotel! Not only did they have the rare negi maki entree they also had green beans & salmon sashimi over rice. My favorite was the salmon! My wife was thrilled they had the negi maki too!!! We happened to be here at lunchtime. Leopard our waiter was great. He provided relaxed & friendly restaurant service here. He just so happened to be Chinese just like my wife! LOL yes they got to chatting where their family was from in China. The food was delicious & we were very satisfied! We would return absolutely! In fact my wife may want to come here on a whim one day! awww when is that needed next Seattle trip??? It was very convenient to have the Rabbit Rabbit Tea next door too! My wife was happy! She did happen to get her unsweetened passion fruit green tea drink! She was big smiles that day. Happy wife, happy life! Aw we are truly blessed.

Yelp
Moon Tree is definitely one of my favorite sushi spots in Seattle. The quality of the fish, the freshness, the taste and speed of service is fantastic. The Fancy Seattle Roll is my absolute favorite, the sear on the salmon is perfect. I also love their crispy rice with tuna. Karaage, crispy cauliflower and gyoza are some of my favorite apps. The mango lychee martini is outstanding. It's not a huge spot but the ambiance is nice and since service is fast the wait times aren't too bad, can also make reservations. Definitely recommend, especially if going to Climate Pledge Arena.

Yelp
I ordered the pork gyoza, Seattle Fancy Roll, and California Rolls all three were fantastic. I especially enjoyed the gyoza sauce, it had a unique flavor that complemented the gyoza perfectly. Overall, the experience was great. The service was friendly, and I appreciated that you can make a reservation through their website. They even placed a reserved sign on the table, which felt like a thoughtful, personal touch. I really enjoyed the sushi and will definitely be coming back again.

Yelp
The place is great! The decor is so cute and really clean. Our server was soooooo friendly. The sushi selection is so good and unique too! Super great little spot.
google avatar

Jackie Y.

Yelp
Overall the fish quality was nice! I did enjoy the salmon sashimi. The rolls had many unique flavors and their tapas also incorporated many ingredients. I was a little disappointed by the price for the portions given, but I guess that was to be expected in the Seattle center area. The service was good and the servers were really attentive towards us. The inside isn't too big but didn't feel cramped or anything.
google avatar

Marie R.

Yelp
We went here before a Storm game and allotted enough time before we wanted to head to the arena. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, crispy rice, baked mussels, fancy Seattle roll, and fire dragon roll. The crispy rice and Brussels sprouts came out super quickly, around 3 minutes after we ordered! Then the others came in shortly after. We're also not slow eaters so we were in and out in 25 minutes! I liked everything but the fire dragon roll was just okay. I still wouldn't mind coming back to try their other dishes! The service was not bad either! It's a solid spot if you're in the area and looking for sushi before a game or just have sushi cravings!

Yelp
Moon Tree Sushi And Tapas is probably the biggest thing I miss about Seattle. An absolutely solid sushi restaurant, I still miss their Asari Miso Soup with a passion. Moon Tree does all their rolls right, with high quality fresh ingredients 100% of the time and their tapas are mouthwateringly delicious. Seating is a bit tight and they're often very busy, but Moon Tree was our go-to after a long day and I highly recommend them both for their outstanding service and food. All in all, a definite must-eat if you're in Seattle!
google avatar

Yelp
Food and service was amazing. The place is cute and clean. Loved the music too. We went at happy hour and we got all of our food very fast. We got nigiri, takoyaki, agedashi tofu, yakitori, crispy rice, and hotate. Everything was stellar but I was surprised at how much we liked the crispy rice. We would definitely come again.
google avatar

Wendi K.

Yelp
3.5 Stars Solid spot for sushi. Menu had a large variety of items. A bit higher price point wise for the quality but nothing crazy. Fancy Seattle Roll was fine ($18). Nice presentation. Stylish interior. Polite Staff.

Yelp
Went to Moon Tree for happy hour on a Tuesday at 3 and it was empty so we got seated right away. They have a good happy hour menu! The star was the Las Vegas role which we loved and was on the HH menu. We also ordered the crispy spicy tuna roll and we were not a fan of all. It had no flavor and we didn't like it at all. We also ordered the pork riblets which we loved. The meat came off the bone but it was a bit dry, we wish there was more sauce. Overall good place for happy hour in the Queen Anne area.

Yelp
Nice place for sushi. When I am traveling to the West coast, I always try and find a good local sushi restaurant hoping that they offer a selection of items that are not available on the East coast. This restaurant was just a 10 minute walk from my hotel and the pictures on Yelp looked great. When I arrived at 5pm, the restaurant was about 10% full. Since I was alone, I sat at the sushi bar. The chef was friendly and he explained what fish was in the case. It was a nice selection, with only a few West coast items. I ordered the omakase for $75 which came with an appetizer of pickled cucumber and shrimp, soup and 12 pieces chef's choice. I was kinda surprised when the 12 pieces were served all at once. It was very well prepared and very fresh. For dessert, I ordered an Aji sashimi, one of my favorites, that is had to find where I live. It was also very good. The service was very good as my glass was never empty. The beer was nice and cold. There were several other items that I viewed that looked very good. The place was 70% full when I left. I would return.

Yelp
Moon tree sushi and tapas has excellent service. The waitstaff is very attentive and professional. I've had a lot of sushi from different restaurants in Seattle and I cannot say that this was top three. I do not recommend the oyster with the, I forget the name of what is on top of it but check out my pictures. It's that tongue like stuff, that sea urchin. That's what it is. I don't recommend. Great location and excellent drinks though.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing service. We ordered an assortment of rolls, halibut, salmon tempura, sashimi. All were amazing. I'd only skip the akataka roll (it was underwhelming, despite the price). Will visit again.

Yelp
Phenomenal! I've been wanting to try this place for a while now, and now I know why. we stopped in here for dinner before Cirque du Soleil and were pleased that there was no wait. Fast forward 10 minutes and there was a line down the sidewalk. Pro tip: get here early! This was the perfect combo date spot for me (who loves all things sushi) and my dude (who doesn't like raw fish). I was able to satisfy my cravings, including a fresher-than-fresh order of hamachi nigiri, a plate of their crispy rice topped with spicy tuna, and a sea bream special with a delightful, citrusy sauce. My date ordered some delicious, crispy fried green beans and chicken yakitori. We loved that everything came in small, tapas-style portions so we could share. I also enjoyed a hot sake, and the dude lived that they had Bodhi on tap. The service was also very fast (my food arrived faster than Taco Bell - not even kidding)! And the ambiance was casual, but still nice enough for a date night. It was also only about a 2 minute walk to the Climate Pledge Arena so we didn't even have to move the car.
google avatar

Daniel K.

Yelp
My wife ordered Asari miso soup and I got the regular miso soup. The only difference is that her soup had clam and mine didn't. I wasn't really feeling the soup but my wife enjoyed her soup. We had 3 different roles, the Fancy Seattle, super moon and fire dragon and I will say that I was impressed with their rolls. The only disappointment is that they don't have much option for tempura rolls, and give you a tiny bit of wasabi. Other than that everything was amazing. The service was great, they were attentive and helpful. The ambiance was great and we enjoyed it as it made us feel at home.
google avatar

Kymberly I.

Yelp
Pretty good find! I found this place by walking around the hotel I was staying at. I just so happened to stumble on their sign advertising their omakase. When I went into the restaurant, it looked a lot smaller on the outside than it was on the inside. I ordered the omakase and for the price I paid, it was pretty good. I do wish that they replaced the California roll with something else. But the other nigiri pieces were really good.
google avatar

Nikita B.

Yelp
What a find! We don't come to the city often but when we do we love to try new places and this place hit the spot! I was so impressed with their customer service, quality of food, and the ambiance inside! My favorites were the crispy rice and the salmon tempura. Our rolls were also delicious - i highly recommend this place if you haven't already tried it!
google avatar

Yelp
First time visiting this restaurant. Great location-close to seattle center. Ordered Tuna poke bowl ( there is also an option for salmon). The flavor, rice , cucumber and seaweed was great. Tuna was fresh but very small cubes and totally amount was small. Was quite disappointed with the sashimi salad. Salad and dressing was okay. But there were only 5 pieces of fish and not the best quality. Would not ordered this again. Miso soup came with both entree and was flavorful. Service was decent. The restaurant was a little dark for lunch despite the windows. Tables are quite close to each other. Maybe be loud if it is completely full.

Yelp
first time to moontree after being brought here by my girlfriend! the ambiance was cozy, the service was good and the food waa great! had to vlog about it on tiktok!

Yelp
My husband and I were staying in a nearby hotel and walked over for what turned out to be the best meal of our trip to Seattle. We had the coziest lunch on a rainy afternoon, it feels like such a nice neighborhood spot. The crispy rice nigiri alone is worth the trip. The menu has a roll for everyone without being overwhelming.
google avatar

Bb Yesi R.

Yelp
Good service. Dim warm lighting. Small intimate space perfect for dates or if you're feeling like you wanna treat yourself or whoever you go with. Not your average sushi that's for sure. There are some classic flavors as well as some more unique ones. The crispy rice is tasty. All the dishes we tried were nuanced and had a good balance of bold and delicate flavors. Really really tasty. Will be coming back.
google avatar

Abraham R.

Yelp
The sushi was very delicious and so amazing quality. They have excellent flavor and well-prepared too. The rolls were so good and very amazing. Well-presented too. The server was absolutely incredible and attentive. The restaurant was decent and has great ambiance. The nice setting was fantastic. Perfect spot for dates!
google avatar

Yelp
Seattle-worthy sushi for sure! Takeaway: the fish was excellent quality, but the sear felt inconsistent throughout the rolls, so some pieces were tastier than others. We got the Fancy Seattle roll, Lobster roll, and vegetable tempura. Both did a great job using flavorful sauces and butter (in the case of the lobster) without overpowering the innate flavor of the fish. The salmon in the Fancy Seattle roll was great quality, but weirdly enough, the pieces on right side tasted super smokey while the left-side pieces were imo closer to perfect. Similar story with the lobster; some pieces were perfectly tender, while others felt chewier. Both tasted great, but I liked the lobster one a bit less; to be nitpicky, it felt like eating lobster pieces alongside a California roll, instead of one cohesive flavor experience. All that said, I was in a silly food critic mood when I was there. If you're just looking for a place to enjoy sushi, you'll like Moontree!! But if you're willing to travel a bit farther to cap hill, I still hold that Momiji is my favorite sushi spot in Seattle so far.

Yelp
We were blown away by Moon Tree Sushi and Tapas. We were very hungry when we came in to order so we were very happy that everything came so quickly. It was a warm day and were eating fish so had a glass of cool Chardonnay for $9. It was perfect. My wife had the Sapporo and enjoyed it. We ordered the Salman Tempura bowl, the Jalapeño Hamachi, the pan seared sea scallop, Hama Lava Roll, Fire Dragon Roll and a Moontree roll between my wife, son and I. They were all delicious! But still a little hungry, we repeat ordered our three favorites: Jalapeño Hamachi, Salman Tempura and the Moontree roll. The scallop was great too, it's just expensive for so little a bite: it was oh so yummy though. My very favorite was the Jalapeño Hamachi; it was screaming good! We all three hailed it the favorite. Service was great. Always friendly always eager to serve and a little humorous. They kept the water flowing; I did say it was a hot day, so we appreciated the water. We were in Seattle four days and had a lot of great food, but Moon Tree topped our list. Next time we're in Seattle, we are there! Note: You will spend over $200 for three people easy, but it's oh so worth it. Just a heads up.

Yelp
came here as it was really conveniently located for a concert i was going to at climate pledge. the restaurant was bustling, so i had high hopes. i was actually a bit disappointed in what my table ordered. the crispy rice seemed a bit stale, and didn't have that crunch factor im typically anticipating. another one of our specialty rolls was actually wrapped in radish/daikon instead of rice which i was not expecting at all. it was great to try, but i probably wouldn't come back again.
google avatar

Emma M.

Yelp
We loved this place! We shared 2 rolls and the spicy edamame. The service was great and fast. It was the perfect early dinner for us near our hotel. The vibe was cozy as well.

Thomas K.

Yelp
All of the offerings we tried were fresh, properly prepared, and professionally served. Make a reservation--We booked a Thursday afternoon pre-ballet table for 5:45, and by 6pm, the restaurant was packed! And deservedly so. This is everything you want in a sushi restaurant. Atmosphere was cozy and friendly and the neighborhood felt both vibrant and safe. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Pratima M.

Yelp
A cute spot for sushi tucked into the heart of Queen Anne -- it's located super close to Seattle Center, and we stopped by for a late weekday dinner. The staff was really friendly and attentive and the food came out super quickly -- we stuck to sushi this time, but would love to try the tapas in the future. We got crispy rice and three rolls to share and that was PLENTY filing -- my personal favorite was the Lobster Roll! It was so unique and tasty, and I can't say I've ever tried a lobster sushi before. In general, the rolls felt a bit heavy on the rice side and one of them had a bit too much sauce for my taste BUT the fish itself tasted fresh. I'll definitely be back to try more rolls!

Yelp
My first time today. Excellent friendly service and the sushi was great! Fresh and large pieces of Nirgiri. The Clam Miso was incredible!! AAAAAA++++++
google avatar

Madi L.

Yelp
Delicious sushi, quick service, friendly staff, good vibes inside! We went at 4pm on a weekday and was in and out within the hour. The service was quick and very friendly! We got 3 different roles and all were very fresh and delicious. Menu had a few staples and a few unique rolls - definitely missing a couple staples I would've loved to see but good variety!!
google avatar

Geri Ann B.

Yelp
What a gem of a place! The ambiance was soothing yet fun, the service was attentive and friendly, but most importantly, great Japanese bites and drinks! What a nice menu of Japanese small dishes, not just your standard appetizer fare like takoyaki and agadashi tofu, but a truly nice and broad selection of unique vegetable, seafood, and meat dishes. I've not seen ribeye negimaki at typical Japanese restaurants in town, so I knew this place was the real deal. Even their signature rolls were different from what I've seen in most Japanese restaurants in Seattle. Their sashimi (true test of fish quality) was clean, fresh, and had good mouth feel and flavor. We hardly come into the city anymore now that we've migrated to the burbs, but we will make excuses to come back here again. Moon Tree joins Kokkaku in Wallingford at the top of my Japanese food fave list in Seattle. Yum!

Yelp
We split 3 rolls for 2 people and got the fancy seattle roll (5/5), in&out roll (5/5), and moon tree roll (2/5). Each roll was about $17-$22 and was easy to order for pickup. The restaurant also has a lot of other stuff on their menu but we only got sushi.
google avatar

Stacey P.

Yelp
My friend, me, and about one hundred other people thought it would be an excellent idea to go to Moon Tree Sushi immediately after seeing an event at Climate Pledge Arena. Thought it would be good to wait some time as the parking garage emptied out and upon entering I laughed because every seat was taken except one and a quick glance around confirmed that everyone came at the same time since no one had neither food nor drink in front of them. I was even more impressed of the calm, cool, and jovial behavior of the service team. Their restaurant was just filled in a matter of minutes and yet they didn't break a smile. I imagine their proximity to the arena makes them professionals at this surge madness and they surely showed it! They sat us at the last table and immediately sprang into action. It was as though this was standard operating procedure as there never was an overt wait for anything. Everything was delicious. The food was great. The drinks superb. The fish nice and fresh. It was a great meal!
google avatar

Yelp
This cute lil' spot needs a 6th star for great service! We went here in search of a better version of a black cod situation we had at a previous establishment, and found a worthy successor! Not only was it cooked to perfection, but the miso sauce was nice, with a gentle kick of ginger to make the palette happy:) My partner had both the Salmon and Hamachi collar and both were top-notch too. The servers were super friendly and efficient and the ambiance was warm and inviting after a walk in the rain. Truly a trifecta dining experience with the food being the absolute brightest star.

Yelp
Had 4 sushi rolls and 3 of them were amazing. Don't recommend the cream cheese roll but that may be personal preference. Service was really good, very attentive. Would go back!

Yelp
Undoubtedly my favorite go-to neighborhood sushi spot. Exceptional sushi, fresh fish, great service and clean. Love Moontree!

Yelp
Came here after the raving reviews On Sunday around 6:30pm. It was busy and I was excited to have a cute sushi spot on my list. I am disappointed to say that the entire dinner was devastatingly disappointing - would not recommend. Either we chose all the wrong things or general sushi standard is poor around here. The Blackwoods Amber was 1/3 foam. Our server didn't come around much and didn't help out much. The fact that they thought a glass full of foam would be perfectly fine should've told us how the night was going to go. Salmon tempura was yummy! It was the best thing during the meal. The bite pieces were fun to eat and the crispy bits got my appetite going - but in the end it had to work extra to satisfy my hunger that the other items fail to meet. Super moon was super bland. It's five shrimp/salmon pieces wrapped is some radish thing (?) and it looks like creative interpretation of raw ox tail that you get from the grocery store. It's mediocre for the look and not worth getting. Nigiri combination was also weirdly bland. Someone else in the review said the fish here had no taste. These fish also felt like they had no taste but I think the bigger problem is that the rice had no taste. Honestly what a disappointment for a common 8 nigiri and roll combo. My college neighborhood has better sushi than this. Eel and avocado roll was also no better. There was too much rice for the amount of eel or avocado. Had to depend on that eel sauce to get a glimpse of what it could've been. When we got the check we didn't know it was online payment only. If it's not, then our server never came back to us to take our check. They didn't explain anything - not the payment, not the sushi pieces, not much of anything really. Why bother come here when you have better sushi (both fish and rice), better beer, and better service elsewhere

Yelp
I've been wanting to go hear and lucky enough I finally made it! I came on a Saturday post-lunch hour around 2pm and was easily able to get a table for two. I was looking to east something light so I was so happy they had tapas! I ordered shishito peppers and a salmon roll. It was the perfect amount of food! The peppers were so good, covered in a sesame, oyster, soy sauce and cooked to a perfect texture. The salmon roll was just what I needed - a simple six pieces of rice, seaweed, and fish. I wish I was hungry because I would have loved to try more of their tapas and specialty sushi rolls. The restaurant itself was relatively busy for the late afternoon time. The service was great! Our server kept our water glasses filled and it didn't feel like she was rushing us at all, which I always appreciate. I would love to come again, maybe during their happy hour!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here on our second date and we can't stop coming back. It's definitely not the cheapest sushi place around here, but the quality of their food absolutely reflects the price. The service is nice, but the freshness of their fish and the way they balance flavors in their rolls is where they really shine

Yelp
Stopped here on our way out of the city back to San Francisco. Was overwhelmed with how delicious the food was and fun we had in the space. Our wait staff was fantastic and made exceptional suggestions. The namesake roll was our favorite nut the crunchy rice and edamame didn't disappoint. Would love to stop in again next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Absolutely scrumptious. The restaurant ambiance is soothing and quiet, so it was perfect for a relaxing meal after a busy afternoon. We ordered the salmon skin salad, yakitori, shishito peppers, crispy rice roll, and Irish roll. The seasonings on the tapas were perfectly balanced so the freshness of the ingredients was evident. The sushi was not dry and lacked an overtly fishy taste as I have experienced with some other sushi restaurants. Their soy sauce is delectable too, you can taste the umami.

Yelp
Good service and delicious. Each roll had a good umami flavor. After ordering, food came out in roughly 15 minutes when the restaurant was full. The Las Vegas (fried roll) was our favorite, but all of them were amazing; I wouldn't change our order.
