Mootown Ice Cream Shoppe

Great ice cream sundaes with excellent service, every time. Mootown has a rotation of about 15 flavors of ice cream, and makes a great sundae. Of special note, they also have scoop-able cookie dough that can substitute a scoop of ice cream, or they will make you a cookie ice cream sandwich.

Excellent service and atmosphere. They even have card and board games for you to play while you enjoy your ice cream. Can't wait to got back again.

I've visited the shoppe twice in six days. Both times, I've purchased ice cream for at least six people. Today, that number grew by three! Word of mouth is something else! The ice cream is delicious; the staff is friendly and courteous, and I've managed to find parking directly in front of the store both times! (always a plus). I will be back soon, but next time, I plan to bring someone with me to help carry the order back upstairs to the office :-) Mootown Ice Cream & Desserts Shoppe is fantastic!!!

Great ice cream; they had the best coffee ice cream I've ever had. It wasn't too sweet and it had a really deep, strong coffee flavor. Butter pecan was average. Would like to go back to try other flavors.

Horribly disappointed in this place. I asked if you could get two different flavors for a single scoop and the woman told me I could get two mini ones. When I when to pay they said it was the same price as a double. That's ridiculous. I get less ice cream for the same price. When I protested they didn't offer any information or apology. Would have been nice to know that it was going to be double the price before checkout. I guess customer service isn't important to them.

I think their ice cream is top notch. There just aren't many hand scoop shops in this area. They could have better hours but that seems to be true of most businesses in Eastern Market.

I didn't try their ice cream, but I did ask for a cappuccino. Unfortunately, their employees on staff didn't know how to make one. My gf ordered an iced coffee. The drink tasted like it was made with day old coffee and the creamer had floating chunks in it. Overall disappointment.
