The Best New Bakeries in Puerto Rico Are Creating New Traditions | Eater
"A longstanding bakery in Gurabo that represents the island’s industrial baking tradition, where mass-production methods and shortcuts like heavy use of shortenings and rapid-rise techniques have historically dominated and shaped many bakers’ early training and expectations about how bread should be made." - Camila Merino
Local bakery to get the best pan soboa in the area.
Breakfast sandwich was good and coffee was excellent.
There are a few key suggestions that the place needs:
There wasn’t a menu and need to speak to the cashier to know what is available. We ordered a typical PR sandwich and had to change our option when the kitchen stated they ran out of steak.
While they are economical, no pricing is posted. For someone who is not from the local area it was odd not know how much I was going to pay for my food.
Aside from that, there presentations was on point and food was delicious.

We can't believe we went there Saturday at 12:30pm and they doesn't have any sandwiches or food for lunch because kitchen was already closed. Aren't you a bakery? What in the world?

Went by recommendations and it was worth the trip. Excellent bread, great service and atmosphere, accesible prices and pretty well kept. The Cuban Sandwich above the rest, and the tortilla sandwich superb. During covid 19, you have to take take temperature and sanitize your hands. Deffenetly recommend this Bakery.

Its an okay bakery to get a nice size sandwich. Accessible prices and good customer service. You can order ahead and won't take long for tour order to be ready. Need more parking space. Its known for the best sobao bread in the area and it shows. But when you order sandwiches in the sobao bread it doesn't get toasted well and it gets soggy in the majority of the bread. Coffee is so so. Need improvement. Overall is a good bakery.

Yelp
Gracias

Yelp
Lucky that this place is so close to where we were staying this weekend. The pastries were all great but the real winners are the breads and sandwiches.
