"Moran’s in the Arena District is a good place to pregame with fellow Crew fans on their sunny patio. There’s plenty of space to hang out indoors as well, plus multiple flat screens, and an impressive draft list. Pair your beer with fried sauerkraut balls and spicy mustard, or the buttermilk-fried spicy chicken sandwich. Moran’s also stands out from other sports bars in town thanks to its generously sized salads, which are served in laughably large metal bowls. We like the one that comes with that same delicious fried chicken, or the spinach salad loaded with bacon and honey mustard dressing." - erin edwards

Came here for lunch on a recent trip to Columbus and we were all so glad we picked it! I got the spicy chicken sandwich and it was so good! Loved the sauce on it. My mom has a food allergy and they were able to accommodate her with no problem. She got the chicken salad sandwich and sauerkraut balls and said it was really good. We had 2 kids with us and they both liked their food and the place. Service was great as well. I would definitely recommend!

Truly enjoyed my visit to Moran’s. My wife and I dined here during a convention on a Saturday evening and it was surprisingly easy to be seated. We both had a different pasta dish (spaghetti and meatballs and the rattlesnake pasta) and they were both fantastic. The mozzarella sticks and drinks were great as well. The atmosphere was great, staff incredibly friendly, and prices were very fair. Will certainly be returning on our next visit.

Well Friday night at 5:30 and the place is empty should says a lot about this place. I questioned my gut instinct and decided to eat there anyway. I should have listened to my gut. I ordered a fried chicken salad, that was a mistake. The salad was flavorless and the chicken was hard and chewy. I also ordered French fries they came out hot and were tasty. But one can’t really screw up fries. I was welcomed upon entering and seated promptly and service was fine. The inside was your typical bar and grill nothing flashy. The men restroom need a makeover. Also, QR Menu sucks.

A large group of us reserved a table for 20 for a late dinner after breaking down our booth at the convention center. We were pleased to find a table and ice waters waiting for us. The food was delicious and it came quickly. The menu offers a good variety and everyone was happy with what they ordered. We liked it so much, we went back the next day before heading to the airport.

Google
A restaurant next to an arena, you never know what you're going to get. This is a solid establishment. Great service! Jaime S. was fantastic and attentive without making us feel rushed! Pictured are the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had. Also the Lynne's Chicken Sandwich and the Front Street Burger. Both Sandwiches were delicious!!! Won't hesitate to return.

Google
Service was good, I sat at the bar, wasn't very busy. Mozzarella sticks were awesome, I got fish tacos it was the spacial, it was fried cod which was good, but the taco it self was a little bland. It had chopped up radish and a little cilantro and a little dap of sauce. The tacos were big so very filling that was a plus.

If you've never been here YOU'RE MISSING OUT!!! They have specials every day and they have amazing Mac N Cheese. It's not overly priced, and every time we've came here the food has been hot, we've gotten it quickly. The staff are very nice and they always have sports on the Tvs. Lots of drink options. This is best place to eat by Nationwide Arena BY FAR!

I stopped here for a bite to eat with a co-worker for lunch. We were quickly greeted and seated by a very friendly hostess/server. I liked the design aesthetic (elevated pub-esque) of the place and the brightness, thanks to the large windows. I ordered an Iced Tea and the Front Street Chicken Grill sandwich (grilled chicken breast, topped with mozzarella, sautéed mushrooms, sliced smoked bacon, and honey mustard dressing). It sounded great - but, that was about it. The food came out suspiciously quick. While I was excited about that, I was a underwhelmed when I took a bite and the chicken was cold in the middle. The chicken had that kind of mushed rubbery processed texture (think nuggets without the fried breading to mask it). But, the saving grace of my meal was absolutely the fries. Maybe was an off day, but I cannot recommend this dish.

Yelp
I have visited Moran's Bar and Grille several times now before attending an event at Nationwide Arena. The place is always packed when I have visited. I usually visit with another friend. We check with the host and try for a table. We find out a wait for a table is about an hour. Then somehow luckily find a seat at the bar. We order right away thinking its packed and food will take forever. Then somehow. Every time. The food arrives as if by magic in like 15 minutes. I'm not sure how they do it. If the food tasted like it was microwaved it would make more sense. However, everything I've had there has been tasty. So I guess it's magic. On my last visit I ordered the Lynne's Chicken Sandwich which comes with blackened grilled chicken, caramelized onions, avocado mousse, Monterey jack cheese, and smoked bacon and sriracha mayo on a butter-toasted bun. The chicken was very moist and I loved the avcocado mousse combined with the bacon. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Came prior to an event at Nationwide, obviously it was insanely crowded. They have a nice patio area with plenty of seating. inside is a bit on the small side. We had a bit of a wait, so we chose to grab a drink from the bar and wait outside. upon getting seated we had a very attentive server; drinks were kept full and we needed wanted for anything. We started with the cheese logs. These were HUGE and full of flavor, great marinara accompanied. I ordered the Chicken Caprese Sandwich as my main. It was good could have used a sauce of some sort in my opinion. Fries were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The star of the show was the cheese logs. It is a must try if you go!

Yelp
Not really much great to say about this restaurant. Waitress was incredibly rude and clearly didn't want to be there. I mean she aggressively said she didn't want anymore tables (we were there at 6ish on a Saturday night....) and when the poor host sat her section she gave up the tables. I've been a server and hostess before and I know there are good and bad days but this was so incredibly gross behavior and so unprofessional. Hostess's/bartenders were actively talking crap about each other loud enough that tables by the bar could hear. We got the spinach and artichoke dip and chips were incredibly stale. We also got the special of steak and frites which were a small piece of steak, garlic fries and a piece of bread for $32.99... incredibly over priced. I got a fried chicken salad which was good and large sized. We absolutely will not be returning. So unprofessional and rude staff.

Jantz V.

Yelp
Fantastic little spot nestled between a multitude of sports bars and nationwide arena. Stopped here for dinner before the DMB concert and it couldn't have been better. The Cajun shrimp appetizer was very good and the grilled chicken rigatoni dish was absolutely delicious. If ever back in the area I'd definitely consider this a top spot.

Yelp
My husband and I visited Moran's a few weeks ago for dinner before an event downtown and were really happy with our experience. The place was packed, so we were worried it might take awhile, but service was quick and friendly. We were seated much quicker than they estimated and someone was at our table for our drink order right away. Drinks and food were so good! We split a fried chicken salad, mozzarella sticks (they were huge!), and jalapeño cheddar hush puppies. Everything was really good and flavorful. It's definitely open and loud-ish, so not a place to go for a quiet intimate date, but it was a pretty nice place to spend a meal before a show. Based on our experience, I'd recommend checking it out!

Anita R.

Yelp
I got the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich with a garden salad without the bun!! It was delicious. I went here last night the before going to Highball Columbus. The service and ambiance was good.

Lee Ann P.

Yelp
For a sports bar, this place is honestly pretty dang good. We came before a blue jackets game, which is obviously their busiest time being in the arena district and the service was still great. They have a pretty decent beer, cocktails and wine list. My husband and I split a bottle of wine that was great and fair priced. We all got the pretzel and an app and it was awesome and I love that for once they gave you enough cheese! For my meal I got the fried chicken salad and the chicken was delicious and this thing was massive. My husband got the general tso's chicken and raved about it too. Definitely a great option for some elevated bar food

Joey R.

Yelp
We had a group of 30 of us that were attending a conference in town, was trying real hard to find something that everyone would like and was decently priced and could hold us all. We came in and couldn't have been happier! They took care of us so good! Accommodated us with great attitudes and the food was fabulous! Mozzarella sticks were epic, pasta made in house was superb! Chocolate cake for dessert! 5 stars! Will come back!

Anna C.

Yelp
Servers and host were friendly however the grilled chicken on the salad was not good, also the bacon dressing that came with it (thankfully we got it on the side) was not appetizing. The rest of the spinach salad was good. The kitchen closes at 8 so make sure to come before that if you're looking to eat. The place was clean and had a sports bar feel which was enjoyable, however will likely not come back for food.

Bryan S.

Yelp
Really convenient location, northeast of Nationwide Arena and west of the Columbus Convention center. They have a nice patio and a decent interior space (3 star). The burger and fries were excellent (4 star) and the service was pretty good (3 or 4 star). They had a QR code for the menu but the cell service in that area is weak so it didn't work. They have printed menus but don't use them because people "have stolen them in the past."

Casper Z.

Yelp
Moran's Bar and Grille is my favorite restaurant that I visited during my time in Columbus. The pastas are fantastic, and the sandwiches are of exquisite flavor. The service-- incredible. We got our food very fast and the waiters were very nice. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the outdoor seating has an amazing view of the city.

Alisha S.

Yelp
I have never been here before and thought I would try it out before the CBJ game. It's a 5ish minute walk to the arena. You don't have to cross any streets to walk from Moran's to Nationwide. I do recommend getting here before 5pm at the latest on game days if you don't want to wait for a table. It fills up fast! I ordered the Cajun popcorn shrimp appetizer. It was absolutely delicious. Big enough to eat as a meal, but not too big that I couldn't finish it all. It comes with fries and Cajun mayo. I don't eat mayo, so I ordered buffalo sauce to dip it in. 100/10 recommend. The bartender (I forget her name ) was extremely sweet and attentive even though she was slammed with a full bar plus making drinks for the patrons at tables. She did great. It's a small place, but the staff seemed very put together and quick! The only downside I would say is there was no happy hour while I was there. Not sure if I missed it (which is fine) or they just don't have one. I feel like if they did have a good one, they would do well.

James J.

Yelp
Close to convention center. Reasonable prices and great menu choices. The server staff were friendly and attentive to my dinning needs. The ambiance was that of a sports bar. Great for casual dining.

Robert J.

Yelp
The wings are good. Food comes out fast. Friendly service. We do work happy hours here and I come from time to grab wings for lunch.

Anna H.

Yelp
We came to the area to grab a drink before the James Taylor/Jackson Browne show at NW Arena. I was hoping not to go to the R Bar, so this newish place was a pleasant surprise. Very nice space and a more upscale than expected. The service was good, and we had a nice experience sitting at the bar. We drank and each had an entree. Mine was the Chicken Caprese Sandwich with fries and was pretty, pretty good. I would get it again. A nice spot and I hope they last.

Annie A.

Yelp
Went to get food before a Blue Jackets game.. they have a pretty good menu but I made the mistake of getting the taco salad. For a $15 salad, you don't really get your moneys worth. There were about 2 pieces of lettuce in there and not a lot of toppings. The shell was less than half way full. Other than that, the service and atmosphere were good.

Andrew K.

Yelp
Hours are never updated, restaurant will be closed at random times with no updates anywhere. They'll happily accept your online order and let you sort the rest out later, though. Food would be 3/5 stars, but the service issues have been historically so bad that I can't recommend Moran's in the least.

Aubrie H.

Yelp
We didn't even know this place existed until recently. We were walking past and were interested in the special they had listed on their sign. We were able to walk right in and sit at the bar. The bartender allowed us to try a couple samples of beers on tap before we made our decision. For lunch we decided on the Hawaiian chicken sandwich and the grilled Cajun grouper. Everything come out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Between the service and the food I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Jack M.

Yelp
Really cool place right in the middle of everything. I had a grilled chicken sandwich that was perfect! My wife had an awesome burger. Service was attentive and friendly. Liked everything about this place. If I lived closer would be a regular!

Melissa D.

Yelp
Came here for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised how good of quality the food was. Started with mozzarella sticks, which are hand made - delic. All their dressings are home made and our entrees were really great quality. For the price we were very impressed! Wish this was in Grandview ;)

Jorge C.

Yelp
Great food and service. The ambiance is great for group gatherings. The price for drinks was welcoming.

Neeha P.

Yelp
If you're heading to a blue jackets game, this is the place to stop at for dinner before! It's walking distance to the arena. They had a few veggies options for me, so not bad! I went with a mushroom veggie sandwich which was yummy and filling! My side was the Mac and cheese which was so good and creamy! Our server was so kind and funny, she even remembered my friend from when she visited prior. I will definitely be back to try their other veggie items and I think this will be my go to before games!

Keenan T.

Yelp
It was busy. We had a high top with view of the (empty ) heated patio. The teriyaki sandwich was missing teriyaki and was quite spicy. It felt the chicken breast had been cut down significantly to reduce both size and cooking time. The fries were crisp and plentiful. The sauces with the chicken tenders were quite watery.

Co M.

Yelp
If I pay $13+ for one more chicken sandwich that comes out being thinner than a piece of paper I'm going vegan. And it wasn't just $13 here, mind you. It was like $16. Ridiculous.

Hannah B.

Yelp
Nice outside patio with heaters for when it's chilly outside. The decor really hasn't changed since it was half pint (previous establishment) we sat outside. Service was fine. Nothing great and had to ask for water refills. I got the Cajun grouper with a side of vegetables and a side of Mac n cheese. My grouper was delicious and the Mac n cheese was very good!! Vegetables were fine. Hubs got the Hawaiian chicken sandwich, recommended by the server. It wasn't that good. The chicken was cooked well, but it lacked a lot of flavor and fell apart. The chicken to bread ratio did not make sense and it made for a messy meal. I would not recommend this sandwich. Overall, decent experience and I would return.

L M.

Yelp
Great for a group of 8. Perfect spot to eat before a Columbus Fury match. Hawaiian chicken sandwich and chicken tenders were delicious! Other meals our group tried looked great, too. Attentive service!

Tom S.

Yelp
We popped in for a late dinner while we were in Columbus visiting our daughter and son-in-law. Lexi C was our server. She was prompt, very friendly, and attentive. Our dinners came out quickly and the food was very good. We enjoyed watching the music videos from the '80s and '90s while we had our dinner. Lots of memories. Very nice. We will go back again next time we're in town. THANK YOU.

Hailey D.

Yelp
Came here on a Monday night and it was dead. I got the Lucile Logan drink and it was delicious! We got the soft pretzel and than I got the grill chicken salad. Soft pretzel was good and the salad was okay. This was very average food but they had a nice patio so if I wanted American food I would probably come back.

Kristen B.

Yelp
Went for a warm day in March for lunch outside. Great salads and fantastic service. We will be back!

David B.

Yelp
Made arrangements for a Bus group of 42 people at Morans today We were late due to traffic however The staff at Morans never missed a beat. Great atmosphere great service and wonderful meals. Not one complaint was heard This is a great Bar and Grille Thanks for your hospitality

K V.

Yelp
We decided to eat here before the blue jackets game on Saturday, January 6. We were seated quickly and waited on. we had the pretzel for an appetizer. It was and tasty but lacked salt. we ordered a bacon cheeseburger, chicken tender basket and a half rack of ribs meal. We all ordered water to save money. The ribs, chicken and burger were good but the fries were so hard you couldn't eat them on everyone's plate at our table. I wanted to mention it to our server, but since my daughter was paying she asked me not to. Now I'm voicing my displeasure because our bill was $68. I'm not sure how it was that much and of course she didn't ask for a receipt. For a meal like this I was disappointed.

Kelly H.

Yelp
My life-long friend and I went for some food and drinks on October 26 of 2021. I got a burger and my life-long friend got a spicy chicken sandwich. ...... The chicken sandwich was medium rare. Pink on the inside! So my friend asked our kind server if the chicken was raw. To our surprise, our server was very apologetic and gave us a lot of fries and told us, "it will be free, I am so sorry!" Elated, we decided to leave that issue at the door. Until the manager comes to tell us that our meal will not be free- and that we must pay for our raw chicken sandwich. Come to Moran's for "ok" burgers and raw spicy chicken sandwiches!! You won't find it anywhere else in town!

Julie D.

Yelp
Stopped here before a concert at Nationwide arena. It was busy considering there was also a football game that night, but we didn't have too long of a wait for a table. Our waitress was so friendly and a ball of sunshine! I wish I remembered her name. The food came out pretty fast. My boyfriend got a burger and I got the portabella sandwich. My sandwich was SO good, holy moly. The balsamic marinade was so flavorful! The fries were exactly what you want fries to be too--crispy and fluffy and not too thin. Boyfriend said the burger was nothing too special, but not bad! Docking a star because we waited quite a while to pay, apparently their card system was down. But we still made it to the concert on time so all was well!

John A.

Yelp
Burger came out in 2 minutes and was cold. I think it was sitting in a pan for a few hours and they heated up for 10 seconds and served.

Natalie D.

Yelp
Their service is always great-- attentive staff and they're always willing to make recommendations on drinks or meals! Haven't had an appetizer or main dish that wasn't good. Food comes out quickly and correct. They have a great happy hour as well.

Rusty B.

Yelp
The food and service was great. I recommend the jalapeño hush puppies. Oh. My. Word. So good.

Rob D.

Yelp
Came in during happy hour and really enjoyed my experience. The bartender was very polite and attentive . I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and it was definitely one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Extremely fresh! The fries are pretty basic but they have a huge variety of alcohol and two decent IPAs on tap. I would definitely recommend for after work drink and eat or even a paste night kick it.

Janie R.

Yelp
RUN. The worst experience, my friend and I decided to try the place before a concert at kemba live. We were greeted by a man behind the bar who simple said food or drink. Then stare at us blankly. It was terrible!

Christie F.

Yelp
We visited before the Barry Manilow concert. Had read good reviews and decided to try. Defiantly took the advice from the reviews and tried the mozzarella sticks. Awesome (would rate a 5). I did the Oriental salad and my friend the grilled chicken salad. Both were excellent. Oriental salad dressing and ingredients were great. Large portions and very fresh. They were out of Moscato wine and suggested the Reisling instead which was ok but not the best. The only true thing I would change would be that it was very warm in the restaurant and this was before it got crowded. I heard two other tables say the same thing about how warm it was. Overall, very good and I would go again the next time I am at the arena district.

Kevin K.

Yelp
Great food. Well executed. I have been for lunch several times and had salads and sandwiches. You can't go wrong!

Carl M.

Yelp
Fantastic food and very friendly service. Highly recommended this place. Very nice place inside and on the patio with a friendly atmosphere.

Natalie B.

Yelp
We enjoyed grabbing some drinks and appetizers here before going to a concert at Express Live. We were able to be seated right away. Patio is nice. Our server Mark was friendly and helpful. Drinks were reasonably priced for the area and our apps were tasty. Would definitely visit again.

Mark H.

Yelp
This is a hidden secret. I would not recommend with an event at the Arena unless you arrive 2.5 hours early. Any other night fresh tasty salads, superlative food for an establishment that looks like a bar, and an above average craft beer on tap selection. Not to mention multiple screens with sporting events.

Fawn C.

Yelp
Moran's Bar and Grille is a new addition to the Arena District. Their location near Nationwide Arena makes it an easy stop off before or after Columbus Blue Jackets games, and that is how I stumbled in one night last week. Full disclosure, I did have a couple of beverages at the game before heading into Moran's for the first time. Take that as you will. We were looking for a place that was still serving food. All the employees were welcoming and completely accommodating from beginning to end. We were able to place drink and appetizer orders quite quickly. Due to our earlier night festivities we were all starving. The server quickly delivered two sides of fries just to get us started along with our drink round. She could not have been happier or friendlier. She dealt with our boisterous stories and laughs, she was patient when we were indecisive about what additional food we were ordering for the table. She checked back often. And here is the real kicker, she never rushed us out. I'll revisit this in a moment. We ended up ordering just a bunch of additional appetizers to share as our actual dinner. We went with chicken tender basket, mozzarella sticks, and jalapeño cheddar hushpuppies. This food also seemed to arrive to our table promptly, and that is saying something after a couple of drinks, a CBJ game, and being starving. So their kitchen is on point! Everything was good. I truly believe that is steps above The Half Pint that previously was in this same location. I would call it upscale bar food at its best. The mozzarella sticks and the jalapeño hushpuppies were phenomenal! Remember earlier when I was raving about the service and saying that they never rushed us. Well, we must have ended up staying for a while and we were having such a great time laughing and catching up we didn't realize we were the very last group in the entire restaurant. They never made us feel like we needed to hurry or get out. They were nothing but kind, gracious, accommodating, and efficient. I can not rave enough about our unplanned first visit to Moran's last week after the Jackets game. It was a top notch experience. If you happen to be in the Arena District and you are having a hard time deciding where to stop for a beverage or some above average bar food, try Moran's. I truly believe you will be pleasantly impressed.

Gary C.

Yelp
So glad this place is open. Great location and nice bar. Unfortunately the beer is on the flat side. They need to adjust their CO2 regulator. When they do I will be back.

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Game night you need to get here at around 4:00 or no later than 4:30. The hostess seating us was unfailingly polite and friendly despite the busy pace of opening night for Blue Jackets. Our waitress was really great, taking our quickly and checking on us throughout, all with a smile. Their food is typical bar food that people want (maybe a smidge better with big salads) but their margaritas are almost perfect. They need just a splash more alcohol tbh. Their mix is house made, not the syrupy gross mix typically served. Lots of disappointed people turned away who just want a quick beer before the game. They need to work on a better seating strategy, perhaps opening a beer station on their patio?

Kris R.

Yelp
Exceptional! From the moment I called to make a team reservation for 30 and the owner encouraged me to tell the parents to join the fun, I knew we were in good hands. We showed up with 30 hungry hockey players/coaches just after a game and at least that many "unexpected guests/parents". The host managed the "chaos" with diplomacy and efficiency. Everyone was seated and thoroughly enjoyed their meal. At the end of the evening, the host told us that this is the "restaurant of champions"....turns out he was right! Our team went on to win the state high school hockey championship. We are sharing the glory and thanking Morans for their contribution to a magical weekend.

Nicholas H.

Yelp
Came in for a drink and the service was great. Jensen the waitress was so nice and kind. Will be back!!!

Joe M.

Yelp
We had a party of 2 on a Sunday at 6pm. We stood at the hostess area for 10 minutes while waitresses walked by many times, we were never greeted, and the place was only half full. We proceeded to seat ourselves at the bar, where the bartender never acknowledged us for 5 minutes. He finally went to fill an order for a waitress and he loudly said to her "I don't know why these people sat down, I am not going to help them". When I asked why not, he said he was too busy. They also had no AC on a 90 degree day. We left. Awful service and rude bartender and waitresses. Stay away
