We stopped by this place for lunch and tried two types of pasta — I had the pesto and my husband got the meat sauce one. The meat sauce pasta was absolutely amazing. Super flavorful, with a generous amount of sauce and really delicious meat. We added extra mushrooms and it took the whole thing to the next level — highly recommend! My pesto pasta was also very good — just a solid, tasty pesto pasta. I saw a lot of reviews complaining that the pasta was undercooked, but that’s just classic al dente. Ours was perfectly cooked. If you’re used to overcooked, mushy pasta, this might not be your spot — but for anyone who appreciates real pasta texture, it’s great. The vibe inside is cozy and gives off a nice Italian feel. Even the disposable tableware is thoughtfully chosen — beautiful eco-friendly utensils and plates made from recycled materials. It’s clear they care about sustainability. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back!

And most importantly, my sensitive-stomached boyfriend has never once complained, which is its own small miracle and the reason we order at least three times a week without hesitation (his favorite is the creamy dry beef). To the chef and owner, thank you for being absolute geniuses and ending my lifelong search for the best pasta. I've found it. This isn't just the best vodka pasta I've had in America--it's the gold standard. Trust me when I say, this is the best you'll ever have.

I've never been more duped by reviews in my life! Between the photos and the great things people said about this place, I expected it to be delicious. It was awful. Undercooked noodles in flavorless tomato paste. I suppose young kids who don't like any flavor *might* like it? Maybe all these rave reviews were written by children under the age of 12?! Nothing seemed fresh or homemade. Never again.

I recently visited this restaurant and was thrilled with their excellent pasta, especially the pesto! The taste was perfectly balanced, rich, and aromatic. I’ve only had take out from here twice but both times they were outstanding and it’s consistent. It’s a good amount of food for what you pay for and more importantly it tastes great! One thing that first timers should know is that the pasta is a different texture than most are used to since it’s fresh. I think that’s worth knowing ahead of time so it doesn’t come as a surprise! The food is great here. I’ve only had pasta but the ingredients are fresh, and executed well. In particular, I got a Gorgonzola pasta and the Gorgonzola did not overwhelm any of the other flavors. To me it seems like the people here really take pride in what they do here. Definitely a place I would recommend supporting.

I've visited More Than Pasta several times, and unfortunately, the experience has been very inconsistent. Out of the handful of times I've been there, I only truly enjoyed the food the first time. The vodka sauce pasta with veggies that I order is the same each time, but the quality has varied greatly, which is disappointing. The pasta itself is cooked perfectly, but the sauce tends to be overly salty, which I'm not a fan of. Despite this, I keep going back because that first experience was really good. The restaurant is small, with a few dining tables but mostly focused on takeout. The staff is friendly, and the interior is clean.

Our carbonara pasta with added meatball was overall good. The quality is good, the service was nice, and the meatballs tasted authentically homemade which was nice, but I was missing the “wow” factor and something to make me feel like I need to return. I’m a hard food critic- I need that wow factor. It wasn’t the carbonara I had in Roma. Enjoyable, yes, but I was not amazed. If you want pasta, give this place a try and support a small business at least :)

More Than Pasta delivers every time. The vodka sauce is rich and full of flavor, and the pizza is crisp, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Portions are generous, and everything tastes freshly made. Service is quick and friendly. If you don't know to order at the counter, you must not have eaten out before. The staff keeps things running smoothly and still makes you feel welcome. The ambiance is simple and relaxed, more casual café than restaurant, but clean and comfortable. It's an easy spot for a weekday lunch or a laid-back dinner. Much better than any chain sandwich shop around. Local food, made right. A GO TO PLACE!

First time visitor to the restaurant today. Everything was great. Timing for a pickup was perfect. The eggplant parmesan panini is very delicious. The veggie pasta was done very well and the taste was also great. We will go back again.

Unassuming spot that is great for lunch. It's fast food but doesn't feel like it. It's welcoming but efficient. Great alternative to the chain sandwich shops in the area. Sandwiches are served on soft ciabatta bread. They don't skimp on portions. They also have build your own pasta where you choose the pasta and the sauce.

Horrible food and bad service. First time there didn't know you had to order at counter. Woman working theere wasn't going to tell me unless I got up and asked myself. Ordered the lunch duo--chicken pesto panini and vegetable soup. Only time i've ever had vegetable soup with no veggies in it--just a weak broth. Panini was uneatable--weirdest chicken texture ever, like it had been cooked over and over. I've never before left a place with my meal completely uneaten. Needless to say, I won't be back.

I've been to More than Pasta a few times now and it's definitely a treasure in Park Ridge. Where do I start. THE BREAD. You guys. The bread is so good. I ordered the cheesy breadsticks and marinara and boy, they are cheesy. Tons of cheese melted on fresh, soft and buttery ciabatta slices. It can't get any better than that. These are actually quite filling on their own, but make delicious left overs. I've tried the rigatoni with vodka sauce once and it was good. I really enjoyed the sauce. I think the noodles were a bit thick/dense and heavy and had a slight flour taste. I only had the rigatoni once so can't comment if this was an off day or not, but I still liked the dish and ate it for three meals - yes, the portion is that generous. The second time I had fettuccine noodles with marinara sauce. I think I added spinach too. Wow! This time the pasta was amazing! Probably one of the best fettuccine I've had. Sauce was delicious and I cannot wait to have this one again. Now the star of the show is the CHICKEN PARMESAN sandwich. The ciabatta is amazing. You can smell fresh baked bread with every bite you take. It's warm and pillowy soft and the chicken is pounded thin and tender and the tomato sauce and cheese.. it's just so good. Not to mention it's huge. It's a great one to share with a salad or pasta, that is, if you're willing to part with the other half of your sandwich. The chicken pesto sandwich is also very good, but the chicken parm is #1 for me. If I ate pasta more, I would probably be eating here at least once a week. Lastly, prices are great for the portion you get. Try it!

Seating is tight in this eatery. There's loud music playing, a peeve of mine. I want to hear myself think or carry on a conversation without shouting. Prices are good. You pick your sauce and pick your pasta. Staff not the friendliest but not rude either. I got marinara rigatoni with mini meatballs, she got vodka sauce risotto. Both dishes were fresh and tasty and we got large portions. It was $30 for two meals and water, a decent value. Four and a half stars for value, four stars for the food, and three stars for the service, minus four and a half points for the music volume. Make it three and a half total.

Quick service. Tried both the risotto and the homemade pasta. The creamy carbonara was delicious. Nice option if you want a quick bite!

absolutely awful service. the food wasn't good at all so i asked the lady for a new one or id just pay for it and she give me and attitude. save your time and money and find someplace else.

Your pasta made to order. Form the rigatoni or fettuccini to the variety of sauces you can choose from. Pasta perfection. Mwah! I chose fettuccini with pesto sauce, and added green peas and mushrooms. No meat. But I could have chosen pancetta, shrimp, chicken, sausage, beef, prosciutto, but I had a hankering for a herb-y and meatless pasta. Love, love, love. My daughter chose rigatoni, with vodka sauce, and added chicken. I had a taste of it and I must say it was wonderful! My other daughter chose rigatoni in vodka sauce, with shrimp, sausage and mushrooms. Decadent! Highly satisfying comfort food :-) My tummy left happy.

I am pretty glad I stumbled upon this restaurant. I was out and about on a Saturday and wanted to have a quick meal that wouldn't break the bank. I decided to come here as the thought of homemade pasta sounded delightful. I ordered the mini meatballs with marinara and veggie marinara. Both were delicious! You can tell the pasta is homemade the moment you bite into it as it truly feels like you're in Italy. The food came out fast and also included a piece of bread. I asked for olive oil on the side for dipping. The employee who took our order was very kind. I really appreciated this cute little pasta shop. I highly recommend for anyone craving some authentic italian food!

I was visiting Chicago and just landed and made it to my hotel. I was hungry to say the least, so opened up uber eats and saw this almost 5 star pasta place. I ordered the pasta with beef and it was so yummy. Hearty and flavourful, the 2 things I look for when eating pasta. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because they do not offer gluten free pasta or alternative pasta options from gluten pasta.

I gave this place a second chance after DoorDashing pasta from this place. The pasta came cold and rock hard. That was 4 years and I gave it a second chance today. I dined in and was not let down. The pasta came out steaming hot and saucy. It was so delicious and the man serving me was incredibly nice. I would go here again but I wouldn't DoorDash from this place.

I ate there twice in person a few months ago and it was really good. I ordered the vodka sauce rigatoni both times. This time we ordered fettuccine with marina and meatballs for pickup and was disappointed. The sauce lacked flavor, and tasted like plain tomato sauce straight from a can. I couldn't even eat it. We called to complain and were told that is how they have always made it. Will never go back.

This place is so gross.. I entered and said it was our first time and ask what was most popular.. He says everything..Well as a foodie and I rarely write bad reviews that is the worst answer to give ! We ordered three pastas and none of them were good..The pasta was really hard and old.. save ur money!!!

Chicken parm sandwhich it was huge. Chicken was great, juicy not dry. Sauce was perfect nothing extraordinary. The focaccia bread was delicious and finished the sandwhich up well! I'd definitely recommend. Brought the second half to work next day for lunch and was satisfied for entire shift! My girlfriend got the vodka fettuccine pasta and she enjoyed it, also finished the rest the next day for lunch. Can say staff was just a little bit rude, when I asked for a fork. It was left on the table by the entrance, but from where we sat it looked like a coffee mixing stick

Heaven is a place on earth located in a cute little shop in northern Chicago, Illinois. The food is to die for prices are fair the place is very clean the silverware the give you is plant based. Tried More than Pasta today. Interesting concept. Small restaurant in a relatively busy area of Park Ridge. Restaurant has a number of tables inside. They have a menu where you can choose Rigatoni vs. Fettuccini for the base pasta, and then they have a number of sauces to choose from, as well as other dishes including sandwiches, cheese bread, etc - I picked the Rigatoni with Ragu. Not bad. Very fresh, it was literally steaming hot. The ragu wasn't a ton but overall the dish was good and pretty tasty. I also tried the cheese bread - it was different than I thought it would be - it was bread with melted cheese on top. Pricing was average - $14.99 for the pasta dish. Restaurant was clean. Staff was reasonable. Parking is mostly street parking in front of the restaurant. Overall I think it's a place worth trying!

I tried the chicken parm sandwich made with organic chicken and focaccia bread. I truly enjoyed everything about the sandwich! The bread was the best part.

Stopped here whilst I was out running some errands because I thought fresh pasta would be a nice treat, and it was on the way from where I was going. They also offered curbside pickup, which was really important to me. I got some regular old linguine, but it was really good. I love the way fresh pasta tastes--but remember, it cooks super quickly! I'll definitely return when I am nearby to pick up some more. I'm hoping to learn if it's possible to freeze it (and how), because I wouldn't mind picking up a few extras whilst I'm there to have in store.

I am stuffing my face with the creamy dry beef prosciutto with a fettuccine base. I wanted even more protein so i added the Italian sausage but the pasta would've been sufficient with just the prosciutto. don't get me wrong the Italian sausage is delicious and a perfect pair with the creamy sauce but the prosciutto is a dream alone. I praise this pasta place for the one reason that they offer many beef and options to traditional pork protein choices at authentic Italian restaurants. such as the menus options of beef sausage, prosciutto, and ground beef for the sauces. Now people like my mother can eat at this place and enjoy her meal without having to wonder what it would taste like with some proper beef cuts on her pasta. My mother doesn't eat pork like many muslim and jewish people in the Chicagoland area. Since we hold a predominant influence on the areas around Chicago it's nice for places to offer more meat options than the traditional pork. i can't wait to try the shrimp pastas and other menu items. A review on the pasta alone: This place reminds me of the fresh pasta i have tried at places like Quartino, Sapori Trattoria, and even the fresh pasta at whole foods when bought and used to make some yummy home cooked pasta. Definitely gets an A+ in my book. KEEP IN MIND GUYS I GOT THIS FOOD THRU UBER EATS AND IT WAS STILL DELICIOUS can't wait to dine in!

We came in here, meeting friends from out of town for dinner. We were welcomed and helped through the menu. Between the four of us, we ordered two different tortellini's and two different panini's. All were amazing, and the two pastas didn't make it into a doggie bag. I enjoyed a chicken pesto panini for lunch the next day, and after a few seconds in a microwave, it came out nearly as good as the first time around! Win-win! Prices were in line as well, and this small footprint restaurant could easily fill a larger venue with the quality of their food!

My wife and I came here again, hoping to enjoy another dinner. I ordered the creamy dry beef and my wife ordered the creamy peppered shrimp. My dry beef tasted like beef jerky and the small bits of meat were very tough and didn't taste good. My wife liked her pasta and the bread with marinara sauce was good. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with our order.

I ordered the fettuccini with vodka sauce with shrimp and oh my god. It did not disappoint. I wanted to stop eating so I didn't get that carb lag, but I could not stop I ate the whole serving. The sauce and shrimp was just too good. I loved every bite. My one complaint is the bread. I think condensation during delivery made the bread not only hard but chewy. Which I didn't end up eating.

Pasta itself was good however the pesto was on the drier side and very salty. I would comeback to try other flavors. I liked the texture of the pasta, you could tell it was homemade. We also got the creamy spinach salmon which I did not try but was told it was less dry. But there was no spinach or chucks of salmon as pictured on yelp.

They make their own pasta and the sauce is really good. Vidka pasta is my daughter's favorite. It you cant eat carbs, you can choose lettuce instead of the noodles/pasta. Quite interesting taste since the sauce is hot but glad it is a choice if you just want to try.

Awesome place, modern, cozy. Our 2 and 4 kids loooove to eat pasta and dine in. not just thay make pasta from scratch bit they are using organic chicken for our favorite pasta. pasta is usually done in 5/6 minute and portions are big. If you like Europian flavor for both interior and food this is right place for you!

Couldn't resist and had to order again!!! This time we tried the Vodka rigatoni and the Arrabbiata rigatoni and of course couldn't forget the chicken parmigiana sandwiches. I loved both pasta dish's. They always give a great portion so you have leftovers and you can tell how authentic everything is. I love how ALL of food is just soooooo fresh. If only I could afford eating out everyday.... I'd definitely order from them few times a week for sure. So far my top favorites are obviously chicken parmigiana sandwich and for the pastas I really did enjoy the homemade vodka sauce with fresh homemade rigatoni pasta. I can't wait to try more items on the menu!

Great Reviews so I decided to give it a try. Ordered online for pickup and walked inside the narrow restaurant with tables on both sides of the aisle to the counter. One of the men inside was very nice and handed me my To-Go bag containing: (1) Creamy Organic Chicken (1) Italian Sausage Gorgonzola The pasta in both dishes appeared to be fresh with decent flavor however the chicken pieces didn't look very appetizing. I took a few bites of the chicken and it tasted just as odd as it looked. After the weird tasting chicken I opted not to eat the sausage as it looked suspect as well. Lesson learned - listen to my intuition. I was sick 10 minutes after eating

Consistently amazing place that keeps you coming back for more! I get the rigatoni with vodka sauce and shrimp. You can taste the high quality of the ingredients and will always notice the pasta really is fresh and homemade. The staff has always been friendly, and prices aren't too bad. Portion sizes are good. I wish I could try different menu items, but I'm so obsessed with the vodka rigatoni it's hard to deviate from my favorite. The inside of the restaurant is pleasant and it is the perfect spot to grab a quick bite to eat.

I've ordered multiple times from here because they have really good vodka sauce. The pasta can be a little too al dente at times but the flavor of the sauce made up for it. Ordered yesterday and when I got home I opened the container and it had a strange smell. It was similar to when you open an old container of food. When I took a bite it tasted the same. I called the store and was told I was wrong because everything is fresh and I'm mistaken. Also they couldn't do anything without the manager and that he would need to see the videos to make sure it was made correctly. Needless to say never got a call back and I was pretty upset that no one even reached out. I was even more mad about the way I was treated than the food being bad. Needless to say it was definitely the last time I get anything from there.

We had the organic chicken pesto panini and the chicken parmesan panini. For organic chicken, the price was really good. The food came very quickly. The pesto sauce doesn't have nuts. So, this is a great place for people with nut allergies.

best vodka rigatoni in the park ridge area. darko, the owner, is a friend of mine and he is consistently working to make his business the best it can possibly be. i luckily work right by more than pasta and have it whenever i can. it is SO undeniably good!! i crave it constantly, thank you darko and lazar for bringing some authentic italian cuisine to the suburbs, it was much needed.

I went to this place for lunch, and it was great. At first glance, the restaurant is gorgeous, with vines over top and well thought-out decorations on walls. We got the beef aged sausage vodka pasta and the chicken pesto panini. The pasta was great, with rich sauce and al dente noodles. The sandwich was well toasted and delicious. I would highly recommend!

We ordered Rigatoni with vodka sauce. The sauce did not taste like vodka sauce, not much flavor at all. The rigatoni was mush. Total waste if money, went in the garbage. We also ordered chicken pesto panini was pretty good, but the bread was not.

More than pasta was okay. It honestly could have been better as the idea of a place like this has a ton of potential. We came in on Sunday around noon and nobody was around. Ordered the Primavera pasta, basil pesto pasta and the grilled cheese. The basil pesto was incredibly salty, almost to the point of being inedible. I also think adding some goat cheese in there would have elevated the dish. The Primavera was good, I enjoyed the sauce but the veggies could have been fresher. The grill cheese? Oh gosh, out of this world yummy. I loved every bite of it. They do give bread with the meal and I appreciate it but i think it would be better if it was toasted or grilled. Hint hint! I will probably return to try more things. I do hope the other dishes are better. Give them a shot my friendly readers

First time here today with my mans. The person who took our order asked us if it's our first time! He explained the menu! Our food came out in like 5-10 minutes! I ordered the vodka rigatoni mushroom, was really good and the texture of noodles were Fantab! My man ordered their marina with sausage with fettuccine noodles! Comes with two slices of bread! I would come back! Pretty good for a little place in downtown park ridge!

This place is very tasty. I will definitely be coming back for more! My wife has shrimp risotto and i had shredded beef pasta and sun dried tomatoes. If this restaurant was down the street I would probably gain 5lbs! It's definitely worth a drive; we're about 20-25 min away. :) One more note: the shrimp was tender and not overcooked. Yes!!!

More Than Pasta is a great little pasta place!! We ordered an assortment: pasta marinara, vodka penne, shrimp puttanesca, and cream sauce with prosciutto. All were delicious and great for leftovers!! Would recommend!

I've been working in Park Ridge for about 4 months now and I came across this restaurant one day after work. It's such a cute place with great customer service and AMAZING food! I would 100% recommend to anyone who LOVES pasta like me. If you don't like pasta, there are other options as well. Such a cute date spot as well.

Best pasta place ever. So delicious. Instantly greeted at the door and owner helped me and my bf to pick food. I got the mac and cheese and my bf got the vodka pasta with beef. We fell in love. Cute atmosphere too. Definitely would eat here again and would recommend to anyone in the park ridge area

Delicious yummy goodness Wow!!! I ordered, after much debate, the pasta w vodka sauce, added spinach & 'shrooms. It was excellent! Homemade pasta was very toothsome - cooked perfectly al dente, and the sauce equally good! Excellent flavors that stand up to any white tablecloth restaurant! Great value for the buck - I've got leftovers for tomorrow! Yaaass! I'm thinking of the carbonara next....

Great place to pickup pasta at a reasonable cost. Service was good, has three or four small tables inside and a few outside during the summer. Had fettuccini carbonara that was really good. Portions are fair.
