How it Feels to Go on Hunger Strike | Eater

"The neighboring historically Black men’s college was included in the policy response to student-led protests at the adjacent campus, receiving a share of the annual meal allocations implemented after hunger strikes and national activist pressure highlighted campus food insecurity." - Stephen Lurie

Run-down buildings, in the hood, and not built up. Very small. Trouble with the air conditioning. Talked badly about other HBCUs during info session . Why dont graduating leaders reinvest in upgrades?

I am very Disappointed in the number of Black women that have talked down, belittled, and berated my son even in my presence. I just don't understand why, but it was definitely Something out a horror film. Ms. Gunter, why is that necessary? Ms. Marilyn, why is that necessary? It's NOT. I had to ask for them to watch their tone. They simply could Not. It shows who they really are and it's sad. Our children deserve to be spoken to like they are already Greatness....like they are brave human beings that can achieve anything. It really made me want to look elsewhere. This type of behavior is unprofessional, intimidating, and definitely unnecessary. Why would you even want to have such a reputation? I just can't figure it out. Maybe people and staff there are afraid of them, but I'm not.

I had an amazing few days at Morehouse. It’s an institution where at each turn you are immersed in deep history, relentless promise, and innovation. The students were amazing - so much future leadership potential it’s inspiring. The bashes school was great - really enjoyed talking to their faculty and learning more about their work. Despite it being a rainy couple days when I was there, we explored a lot of campus. Very walkable, parking didn’t seem as bad as some college campuses can be. Campus was very clean, felt very safe, and had a good assortment of amenities. The bookstore had a decent selection of merchandise.

I went to Morehouse! It was a great decision. If you're in my former shoes wondering about whether you should go, choose Morehouse. The teachers were dedicated to seeing me grow, and they pushed me. I am still close with many of my Morehouse friends to this day! Go to Morehouse...it'll change you for the better.

We took our children to visit Morehouse with a summer camp. The tour was phenomenal! Made me wish I would have done undergrad there.

Yelp
Here on campus for a summer mentor program for my high school student. This campus is absolutely beautiful. The mentors and staff are so professional and helpful. This program is a great opportunity and we are thankful for it. The history of this school, and the surrounding schools, is evident everywhere you look. You can't help but feel proud as you stroll the grounds. Parking was super easy to find and it is only $1/hour. The campus is very clean. I love all of the flowers I see planted everywhere. We passed a greenhouse while on a tour and it was gorgeous. There are murals and monuments all across the campus. It's all stunning. The kids thought it was cool that there are four schools all here in this one area. Walking through and crossing onto another campus was cool.

Yelp
A much anticipated experience for my Grandson- Khari Jones at 11:00 am on Wednesday July 25 th was enhanced by the knowledgeable staff and volunteer tour leader during our campus tour! My grandson flew From Chicago and enjoyed the wonderful tour and informative presentations during the tour! The information on financial aid, academic requirements and historical aspects of the College was excellent! Respectfully, Dr Patricia Brumley 305 6138421

Yelp
This trip was honestly a blessing to me and my family. We actually got a chance to tour the historical Morehouse College. As my son is considering his future choices of furthering his education career, Morehouse was definitely a ride to remember. This Homecoming weekend gave me life! It brought back so many college memories and I was glad to partake in the festivities.

Yelp
I am writing this review as a visitor to the campus, not as a student. I was here to attend a graduation event (for a summer program) and had never been to the campus before. Fortunately, an employee of the college gave me some advice on where to park. Because it was a special event, we could park on the street outside the venue instead of in the lot at the entrance to the campus. There are many "entrances" to the campus, but many of them are blocked off to create controlled access. You should go thru the main gate. The venue was great for the venue being held. Love the history of the place.

Yelp
Good ol' Morehouse. There's just so much I can say about my Alma Mater. Looking back on it after graduating almost 6 years ago, I can truly appreciate everything the school has done to prepare me for the world. The faculty at the school truly care about each student that passes through their classroom doors. There are still professors that I keep in touch with today. And the bonds that are created with fellow students from the first day you step onto campus for Freshman Orientation till the day you walk out a graduate are priceless. And not just with Morehouse Men, but with all the students in the Atlanta University Center. People think that b/c the school is a Historically BLACK College, then there's no diversity. This couldn't be further from the truth; there are people from all walks of life attending the school who all offer something different to enrich the school's culture. I couldn't recommend this school more. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to the myself or the alumni association so we can tell you what it means to be a Morehouse Man. "You can tell a Morehouse Man, but you can't tell him much"

Yelp
Extremely unorganized and when their mistakes are brought to their attention nothing is done. Worked with Christine the admin to the president on several occasions. She is hostile and completely unprofessional. I submitted a formal complaint and to date nothing was done. Morehouse gives a good appearance that all is well but when issues occur that are attributed to their mistakes they do not address them and cover them up. Morehouse exhibits discriminatory and classist behaviors which should never exist at an HBCU. It appears that if parents are not alums, politically connected, large donors, or friends of the president (Dr. Wilson) your issues will not get resolved.

Yelp
If you are considering Morehouse College, please consult a Morehouse Man (graduate). I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Morehouse and will continue to promote to aspiring collegians. Among several good qualities, Morehouse is a top feeder of highly selective grad programs around the country: Harvard, Duke, Penn, and UChicago, to name a few. The student body in very competitive; after graduation several of my distinguished classmates matriculated and graduated from Harvard Law, Penn Medical, UChicago and Princeton. Several others are completing Ph.D programs. Also, the alumni network is very strong---please also see the list of prominent alumni. Regards, Morehouse Man Duke Alum
