Morenos is HANDS DOWN THEE BEST liquor store in Chicago/Chicagoland area, and it's not even CLOSE. With nearly 1500 types of tequila ALONE to choose from, prepare to have your mind blown!!! There isnt a store coming close to Mike Moreno's Liquors, and I won't even get started on the beautiful speakeasy in the back!!! A MUST visit for sure!!! Just for the conversation alone, I love to visit!!!

I was really impressed with Moreno's Liquors! They boast a truly wide selection of wines and spirits that goes beyond the usual offerings. Whether you're into local craft beers, hard-to-find whiskeys, or a specific vintage of wine, chances are you'll find it here. The aisles are well-organized, making it easy to browse and discover new favorites. It's definitely a step above your average liquor store.

Beyond my wildest expectations. Mike is a gracious and knowledgeable steward, and our experience was heart-warming. A true Mezcal lovers paradise.

Absolute top tier experience, the word liquor store has the wrong connotation, these people know what they’re talking about and the speakeasy in the back is a vibe that’s the icing on the cake for the whole experience. Santana served a mean pour of G4 reposado for me that was excellent

My husband loves their selection of craft beers. We recommend Moreno’s to all our family and friends. Moreno’s is definitely a great staple of our community.

Unbelievable selection of Mezcal! Huge selection and and great help. I will definitely come back. They have their own mezcal and tequila collaborations. I need to learn more.

GREAT SELECTION. If you need to find hard to find tequila, this is the spot. BUT i notice the prices went up in tequila unfortunately due to the tequila boom and the standard Arrette is over $65?? Standard is a $25 bottle lol. Some of the prices need to be checked but other than that there's a large selection and will come across a gem. Great store regardless 👍

The staff were helpful and were able to quickly give me access to purchase Sam Adams Utopia. I was happy to find this hard to find item. Would definitely return.

(Reviewed during the COVID pandemic) Solid 4.5 stars if you are a craft beer fan! A large selection... plenty of non-Chicago breweries for variety... prices aren't bad...a few rare ones here and there... and some seasonal sales can be found. Be aware though.... if you're the kind of buyer that likes to talk beer with the employees, this isn't this place. Also.... aisles are close, so it's hard to properly social distance if it's crowded. But, definitely worth a trip to check out the beer selection!

Here's what you need to know: this is a review for the curbside delivery experience during the Coronavirus pandemic in July 2020. Great customer service over the phone. Easy curbside pickup - parked right outside the store, and my bottle was brought right to me within 2 minutes and placed in my car's frunk. Outstanding selection of spirits, including some very hard to find Japanese whiskey . Extremely reasonable pricing that make for great deals. Very courteous and friendly staff, both during the call and during the pickup stage. The store is at an intersection so parking is a bit tough, and you may have to squeeze your car around the crosswalk. I will definitely patronize then again.

Some of the sales are incredibly wild, but buyer be ware about the date of the beer! Some of the stuff on 50% off were older, a few months after the production date. Still, found some great deals within the giant selection and love making it out here for a beer haul.

Mike and his crew are some of the best around with regards to customer service, product knowledge, and just knowing what is trending in the world of all things spirits! I've had multiple visits where the Moreno's team has been more than helpful in finding that Uber rare beer or whiskey for me. Most recently, an incredibly helpful cashier took my call and even saved a very rare 4-pack for me. The craziest thing was I didn't even ask her to do it, but she just took it as it was the last beer on the shelves of its kind and she put it aside anyway. It's those small things that sets Moreno's aside from all the rest in Chicago. Their prices are fair and obviously their selection is second to none! Thank you for all you do for the community as well!

As a Peruvian, the fact this place carries Cusqueñas is reason enough to give a 5 Star rating. Their huge variety of tequilas and mezclas are unmatched but they honestly have everything you could want.

Great selection on beers and liquors from domestic to imports at great prices. They have plenty cold beers in stock and they have a back room full of beer at room temperature. Lines do get long here on the weekends and they have vendors here offering free taste samples all the time. Plenty of parking in their private lot behind business.

This is the binnys of the hood. They have the most diverse collection of beer and liquor from ur average beer to your most delicious craft beer. Tons of different tequilas .. great place . The staff is very knowledgeable as well .

Mmmm, beer. I was in search of a specific beer and Beermenus directed me here. It's not terribly far from home and it's not quite k-town (the only place aside from all of Pulaski I try to avoid), so why not? Well shit. I'm in love. I'm not even taking into consideration the drive down 26th street to get here (mmm, tacos), I'm talking solely the selection of booze. Craft beer, macro beer, 8 million types of tequila (just a guess, might be a smidge off) and pretty much anything you could ask for in a liquor store. While I was wandering around I came across bloody mary salt, and not that snooty stuff Binny's sells. I found the good stuff, right there next to the Michelada mixers. When I walked up to the counter with more than enough beer, the girl smiled and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I got down to the nitty gritty and she gave me the info I needed. Done and done. I've found a new liquor store to fit into my rotation, because my check-ins don't make me look like enough of an alcoholic. If I wasn't so secure knowing I buy more than I drink, I'd feel self-conscious about this, but I don't. Anyhow, Moreno's is legit.

This is THE place for tequila. They've got the biggest and best selection I've seen, with some really rare stuff. Best of all, the prices are great!

Came here looking for rye whiskey to make an old fashioned. Was a bit lost as far as what would be the best option but Daniel was a huge help! If you are looking for great selection and knowledgeable staff, this is it. This will be my go to from now on.

Mezcal and tequila galore!!...they have an amazing selection of whisky, craft beers and wine. But what makes this place even cooler is that ,it is family owned and been in the industry for 40+ years. My favorite place to get my stuff.

This liquor store is seriously such a hidden gem. My husband and I caught on after a friend let slip something about his "secret" liquor store location and have been frequenting Moreno's ever since. Their craft beer selection is out of this world and it's a MUST for any special releases. While all the other sheeple are waiting in hours long lines at Binny's or other well known liquor stores we're getting right in and out without missing a beat on any of our favorite beers. I am seriously hesitant to even write this review in fear of it catching on too much and not being our craft beer sanctuary but I feel I need to give props where props are due. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and are open to conversation, feedback, and special requests. What more can you ask for?!?

On my way to Colorado Springs from Canada and I missed my connecting flight. I was stuck in Chicago until 5 pm the next day. Took a taxi to Moreno's because I heard about them for such a long time and given the fact they don't deliver, if I was going to purchasing anything, I had to travel there myself. I picked up a bottle of Rey Campero Chato; a Moreno's exclusive. This complete's my collection. I would have bought more as they had an amazing selection of Tequilas and Mezcals but I had already had my quota for bringing booze back duty free. I was greeted by who I think was the owner. Very nice gentleman. The staff were extremely helpful and the lady at the counter was super pleasant. It really is a shame they don't deliver. They had so many interesting clay products (jarritos) but again, I only had so much space in my luggage. I plan on visiting Chicago again soon and Moreno's is definitely on my list of places to visit.

An amazing independently-owned liquor store that caters to everyone--beer nerds, cognac and tequila aficionados, locals that come in for a six pack of Budweiser. It's a really special place that has all kids of stuff you won't find at Binny's. Super helpful staff are more than happy to chat and share recommendations. A thoroughly enjoyable trip to the liquor store today.

They have some great stuff! Tons of gems that I don't see in other places and they had great customer service. The brewracho event was pretty good but just one suggestion for the event. When you release the whiskey there were some animals snatching it out of people's hands as soon as it was on the shelf and a couple of times snatching it from the hands of the employee. Maybe for next year you can have people take a number, start a queue or even have a small game like rock paper scissor tournament. It would make it less stressful and maybe save some people from fighting over stuff.

Only place in the area that has a excellent craft beer selection. Wine section is well above average. Pricing is extremely competitive. This is by far the best liquor store for miles. Just picked up a six pack of pinner for 6.99 most places sell it for 10.99

A great neighborhood liquor store. An enormous tequila/mezcal selection. I'm a rum drinker and wish they had a bigger selection on that, otherwise, awesome place.

Tequila enthusiasts paradise!!!... I mean really! this place has a large variety of tequilas ever created, even Tequilas that are only sold in Mexico. In addition, rare Tequilas (I believe also from Mexico) are displayed in cabinets. This place is huge, seriously it's about the size of an average Mexican grocery store. The staff is cool, prices are reasonable, and surprisingly this place doesn't get packed (I was here on a Saturday night) like other liquor stores of this size. You can find anything (The "Corona Familiar" have a fridge of their own) from 40oz to rare hard-liquors. By far this is the biggest liquor store I've been to, in the west side.

So this place is good in the hood. And by that I mean it is a real liquor store that has a good selection. Not just your stereotypical Tecate and Corona. Since I don't drink anymore it is sort of wasted on me but I like to look at the pretty bottles. Prices are alright, they have some obscure tequilas. They also had a pulce tasting last Friday which I did not take advantage of....but I guess if you like tequila this would be the place to go. Parking is horrendous but that is to be expected on 26th street. Pull up and put the hazards on, you probably won't get a ticket. Most people seem to chance it. Lines move pretty quickly so make your selections before you get out of the car. There is a lot around the corner but it is easier to get out on the street....

If there's another store in the Midwest with a better selection of mezcal, raicilla, tequila, and other artisanal agave spirit, they've done an amazing job of keeping themselves hidden. Moreno's is the best -- in terms of selection, in terms of price, and above all, in terms of customer service.

Huge selection of tequila, mezcal, rum, and other spirits. Mr. Moreno (father) is very personable and helpful. While there are many reasons to visit Little Village, this place is a destination, in and of itself.

Moreno's Liquors is an exceptional business. I could list a few reasons why I drive 25 minutes to this place when I could easily go next door & pick up bourbon & beer. One reason is their friendly and engaging attitude toward their customers. Moreno's is a family run place and they truly invite you be a part of their business by returning to tasting events or simply asking questions to recommend new drinks that you might be interested in. They have tequilas, wine, rum, GREAT craft beer selection, & bourbon all at a great price. Please stop by Moreno's & check out this wonderful staff. & don't forget free parking in the back for 30 minutes.

I do enjoy their selection of craft beer BUT they ( girls at the cashier ) need some 101 customer service classes. As I am looking for what I would like to purchase, a store clerk begins to follow my boyfriend and I around the store. She then asks us if we need help with anything and responded no. However when we did ask for a specific item she replied " if you do not see it , we do not have it". So much for asking what we needed help with. I am sure I have eyes to see for myself but thought someone that worked there could help me. It's a shame that Mike Moreno Sr. and Jr. put forth such a vast effort to provide such selection of craft beer and spirits for there customers for then to receive such disappointing customer service.

Fantastic craft beer selection. Not close to home for me but definitely worth the trip. Excellent prices, everything here is probably a dollar or two cheaper than the binnys. The three employees that were there were VERY helpful and kind. They have made a new frequent customer in me! I splurged and will definitely be back soon!

Absolutely love this place! They have such a wide selection of wine, liquor, and beer. The staff really helps you pick out what you're looking for based on your preferences and they have the best prices. This store has also been around for almost 40 years, so they know what they're doing! They do tastings, they look for the best prices and they have such a unique variety of liquids that you can't find anywhere else. It's pretty easy to get to and easy to find, plus they have some parking in the back. We love coming here since they're so involved with the community, and they're so friendly! I just love that they know what they're talking about and they're constantly doing activities, from tastings to celebrations, to just talking about the amazing liquors they have in the store. They've got really strong relationships with their partners too, which explains the great prices. I'm not really a tequila fan, but Mike, the marketing guru and liquor afficionado from the store, introduced my husband and I do some amazing tequila that was smooth and didn't have that punching after taste. Great service, selection and prices here! Love coming back and buying in bulk since I know I'll get the best!

Moreno's has an amazing selection of craft beer and 'hard liquor', if they don't have something they'll get it! Not to mention their prices are great. A must try is the Dobel Maestro Moreno's version, it's delicious and smooth for the bargain price of $29.99! Last but not least, customer service is top notch.

Found Through Beermenus looking for a specific beer, walked out with a shopping cart full of craft beer. Mike Moreno himself (im assuming) helped pick out some top notch craft beer. Very knowledgeable in craft beers. If hes this good at knowing about craft beers I can only imagine what he knows about his tequila and wine. Great Staff, great selection! Make a day out of it to go down there, eat some local cuisine, pick up some booze.

While visiting from Washington, D.C. I was on the hunt to find a good liquor store that carried a large selection of imported tequilas. Someone recommended Moreno's Liquor Store and it was instantly love at first sight/visit. Not only did they have a large selection, but they have knowledgeable staff, and GREAT PRICES! My fiancé and I even created a new margarita which we named the Millionaire Moreno Margarita (M3). Not sure what their store motto is but they should consider "Every City needs a Moreno's Liquors Store" or "Where Tequila is cheaper than Water"
