Moretina's Caddy Shack

Very inviting atmosphere with a laid-back outdoor patio that they just redid. They have a full bar that is a table top style in the very back patio and then they also have indoor seating as well. The servers are always very friendly and kind. The restaurant is always packed and the best sports games are always on.Dogs seem to be allowed on a leash on the patio only. We saw one when we were there.

A fee for card use and inconsistent taxes and price between menu and charges but the food was generously sized and perfect greasy bar food. Older working crowd- eclectic. An ok small dive with standard sticky wet floor. A good place to not be seen

Food wasn't that good. Typical bar food, but not as good as most. Service was simply awful, and the place wasn't busy. Even after asking for refills we didn't get them. Server just vanished and never came back. Our bill had one number on it, a total. Nothing itemized. It didn't reconcile with what we ordered, we had no idea where the inaccuracy was, but oh well. After paying, we had to go hunt down our debit card, because again, the server vanished. Won't go back.

Best bar ever, very dive bar vibes. You can get to know the servers and bartenders and they get to know you as well. Good food, good drinks, affordable (for downtown kc) and just great! I love when I go on the patio and someone has a dog out there, it makes me happy that they have a dog friendly patio, and it’s smart, having bar k so nearby!

A nice neighborhood bar to have a drink and watch a game. The pizza was great. I ordered the veggie pizza, add Italian sausage and provel cheese. *chefs kiss* I actually called the next day and ordered a couple pizzas for takeout and it was just as good as when I had dined in. My only complaint is there was only one server so it took forever to get anything from her because she was so busy. She did a good job given the circumstances, but definitely could have used some help.

Excellent gluten free pizza crust. Loaded with toppings. A typical bar. Only one women's bathroom stall. On a busy night that could be a problem. Nice deck for smoking or hanging out.

Great food we ordered different pizzas. The gluten free crust was excellent. They also have also added cream cheese to their toppings. Very good. Service was excellent, Lala was attentive and friendly.

Loved this place!! Pizza is phenomenal, service very good and friendly. Will definitely be back. The potato salad was awesome and a huge bowl! Loved meat pizza, and the sauce is my favorite around. I’d love to have some of that on pasta. 5 stars!

Stopped in for drinks before a concert..first time here! Beer was cold and servers were attentive and friendly! Local crowd where lots of people knew everyone but still friendly to "first timers"...we were delivered a round of drinks from a group we had just been talking to Pizza was a cracker thin crust and delicious!

Excellent pizza, great service, fun hangout, like the bars of our ( or least my) youth. This is one of the best pizzas in KC, and the price is great.

We always enjoy stopping in to this bar, on our party bus route. There's plenty of room for our usual group of 30. The pizza is amazing!! Service has always been great! They do a great job at handling our large group, while still attending to the other guests! Great job guys!

The pizza was delicious (meat pizza) but the beer tasted like the tap lines hadn't been cleaned for a while. Bartender women are nice and efficient, but sure like doing shots.

Ordered a salad to be delivered, was told 30 minutes and took an hour. They forgot utensils so much for tipping well.

Caddy Shack is a well-known and enjoyed local bar in Kansas City. You can find this sports bar in the River Market area. The best, most addicting pizza in KC. Service is impeccable. These girls keep you in check and do it with a smile. Just a local bar atmosphere but has a large heated back patio and multitudes of TVs to watch the games.

I was in town visiting and a few people that talked to recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Clean, TVs everywhere, Amazing food, great prices, and the staff, awesome! Huge s/o to LaLa. Cant wait to come back

Classic Kansas City hangout. We sat inside but they also have a nice patio. I LOVE their pizza - definitely add the provel cheese on top it's so good

Amazing bar pie and can't wait to try more! Also it is mandatory to get the provel! It's like a mixture of provolone and cream cheese had a baby it was delicious!

Love Stock Hill. The food was good. The service was great. We had a bad table, but they moved us to a quiet table so I was very pleased. Thank you Stockhill. We will be back.

What a fantastic hidden gem. If you love a good diver bar (for just a bar experience alone), this is a great place. However, the pizza here is fantastic! This is a no-nonsense old school place with clientele to match. Lots of older Italian gents hang out here and there's tons of fun conversation... but you have to try the pizza! I really love their veggie pizza, but their plain cheese pizza is great too. There's something about their sauce that just gets me. I love Caddy Shack and if you're not into dive bars, that's cool too. Just call your order in and pick it up hot and fresh (my orders are always ready in the quoted amount of time).

I probably would have never visited Caddy Shack if my wife's hair stylist, who is located in the Little Italy neighborhood, hadn't told her that their Neapolitan pizza is the best in the city. This is a classic neighborhood dive bar where you expect good food, drinks and fun. Well, within 10 minutes of our arrival on Saturday, a brawl broke out in the bar. Some dude had been drinking alone for most of the afternoon and started to show some attitude. After a few WWE bodyslams into the wall, he was escorted out. The manager later came over and apologized for the scene, saying that rarely happens. Most of the Yelp reviews told us to order the Meat Lover's pizza, but we were super pleased by the Supreme, with Pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushroom, red onion and green pepper. Beyond the incomparable thin crust, is the sweet tomato sauce, which some have described as spaghetti sauce. When we return, we might order something with less toppings to really appreciate the crust and sauce. But before the pizza arrived, we tried an order of the hot wings. Last week we dined at Al's in Parkville and said they had the best wings in town. I'm taking the championship belt and awarding it to Caddy Shack. As my wife commented, the place is small, and when the food is ready, it comes out pronto. That made those wings taste even better. This place has a following, be it baby boomers, bikers or millennials. We can't wait to come back!

We came to the Caddy Shack to order some items to go since they are open late including the kitchen! Inside it truly looks like a dive bar, but not in a bad way. They had a good amount of people in there, and a small line for to go orders. Food: We had a Large meat lovers pizza and tater tots. I mean look at the picture... the pizza was just as good as it looks! I appreciated that it wasn't drowning in red sauce, but had toppings on toppings! Even though we took it to go.. we both had a slide before getting back in the car lol Service: We were immediately greeted and offered menus! Once one waitress left another one came and asked if we needed anything. Then, we ordered and the bartender came over to make sure we were good and taken care of! I can definitely see that they pride themselves in service, which I believe is the reason they had so many people in there at 12am ! I will be back to try other items when I can't find food after 11pm in KC!

The food is always amazing as well with the service! 19 TVs in the building so never missing a game that's on!

Great little bar/pub! Lots of TVs to watch the games and plenty of good food and drink options. I enjoyed the southwest rolls and a salad while my husband had the bacon cheeseburger and we both left very satisfied! Servers were fairly attentive and the food didn't take too long.

Great little spot! Classic dive bar feel with awesome bar food. Prices are fair, service is good to grumpy depends on who you get, but they all move quickly! Clean and fairly updated inside plus they love to decorate for holidays! Whatever you do get there early for lunch.... Cause it fills up quick. Especially on Taco Tuesday....but don't order the tacos cause it will just mean more for me!

I you were looking for a blue collar neighborhood dive that cooks up a good pizza pie, among other items, then you have found it. The menu is similar to what you would find at a neighborhood bar and grill or sports bar, but the place is known for its thin crust pizza and its sweet sauce. It's a little bit different than the normal marinara sauce, but it really hits the spot. Sodas and a fully stocked bar of adult beverages are available if you're thirsty. All of it is served with a special neighborhood charm. The restaurant offers up a nice little patio if you want to sit outside and catch up. There are tons of tvs inside that are playing your favorite game, especially if it's the Royals or Chiefs.

The Caddyshack is the quintessential dive bar. It has everything that I love about a dive bar - dimly lit, the worn in feel, popcorn machine, coffee pot. The drinks are cheap, the service is friendly and great, and the kitchen has late hours. The real star here is of course the pizza. The St. Louis style pie has a fervid fan following for a reason. The toppings are great quality and well seasoned. The mozzarella and provel is gooey and abundant. The meats are bursting with flavor. And the cracker thin crust is crisp but dense enough to support the generous toppings. And then there's the sauce with its signature sweetness that works in contrast to the robust seasonings and melty cheese. Overall, few places better when you just want a pizza and a few beers.

Pizza toppings are very high quality and plentiful. Sauce is a bit sweet for my taste, but still not too overpowering.

Average bar, nothing special Dive bar feels. A lot of tvs. Air circulation was nice. Came on a Friday, not busy at all. 9 minutes to be greeted, I ordered on the spot. Ordered the works pizza. Waited 25 minutes for a large thin crusted pizza not sure why it took so long !? All honesty it was average. Third place to have pizza. Trying BBQ tomorrow hope it's better than the puz

Came here for pizza as a recommendation by a bartender. Did not disappoint! This place still has serve yourself popcorn that we love. The jalapeño pepperoni pizza was delicious the sauce is a bit sweet, the jalapeño's are hot, and cheese is to die for. The jalapeño poppers were good and worth ordering. Jackie provided excellent service. She was awesome and made some amazing green tea shots! Definitely recommend if you are in town and like a dive bar with some good grub!

The.Best.Thin.Crust. I always ask for well done & the crust is almost cracker-like. You get more topping taste & not filling up on dough. Nice patio but I wish it was non smoking. Great local bar

Walked on Snake Saturday it was a lively crowd, friendly people, made new friends whom offered me their seats. Atmosphere is like a home town everyone knows your name sort of place. Being new to KCMO it seems like the place where all the beautiful locals come to have fun. Highly recommend.

Best pizza in Kansas City!! St. Louis style with a special homemade sweet tomato sauce that is unique to Caddy Shack. Very clean interior and frequented by a lot of neighborhood regulars. It's a great place!

We've heard great things about the pizza. So we ordered. It was fine. Not necessarily off the charts and certainly not bad. That said, the sauce is sweet which is not something we liked.

They have the Best pizza in town, great ingredients, great crust, old fashioned quality pizza. The staff, was nice. Overall great local bar atmosphere.

I am kicking myself for not coming in here sooner. I was pleasantly surprised by this off the grid dive bar (close to the River Market). We got pizza which was great, a burger, also great, and the atmosphere was perfect. It was chill, quiet, and just a fun Tuesday night. On a day that isn't freezing, the patio looked like fun and had lots of seating, ambiance lighting, etc...The TVs inside would be nice for watching game, and the service was good and timely. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because of the Happy hour...wells for $4?? Seems a bit high to me considering other specials in the area. Overall, we will most definitely go back!!

The best pizza ever. Thin crust, great sauce, toppings galore. But the best part is the happy hour is legit and they are minutes from knuckleheads and sprint center. What does that mean? This is our go-to spot before and after concerts. Let me reiterate the important part here. Best pizza in KC. Second favorite is the gooey, melty cheese in the toasted ravioli. Side note: Don't get your expectations up for fancy ambiance. It'sa hole in the wall, dive bar looking place. But don't let that scare you off. I brought my high-expectation-type family and they loved every bite and want to come back. Update: 5+ visits later the pizza is still amazing. My family from NW Missouri still talks about this place. We will drive from Shawnee for this pizza and my boyfriend regularly surprises me with this knowing how happy it makes me!!

So it is an American tradition to get pizza and wings. I say nay nay! Jalapeno Poppers are the new wings. Especially the one's here. They are perfect golden and they go big on the filling. Their standby is Ranch to serve with them, but I always get Blue Cheese. I will also add their Blue Cheese has real blue cheese chunks! (JOY!) Also Richard (AKA The God of Pizza) informed me they are a from scratch establishment. Who knew?! Every time I talk to the gang here, I learn something new and WOW. They have become a once a week staple for us.

We love coming here and always make it a point when we come from lawrence to goof around in kc for the day. Love the pizza and service. Vivian is just awesome.

Came in because we saw they had toasted raviolis but the pizza stole the show!! I got a thin crust with sausage mushroom and pepperoni.. #foodporn to my eyes and my stomach!! I wish I lived around here so I could keep coming back.. but I guess my waistline is glad I was just visiting :)

Stopped by here with my beautiful wife and our oldest son who was in town visiting. We had been to the Negro League Museum and worked our way back home via south side breweries. The food that was coming out of the kitchen looked awesome. We will be back to try it. We had already eaten this day. The beer and service was awesome. Will definitely be coming back here.

My favorite chill bar in the city. It's not a dive, upscale, or chain-like place either. It's a perfect Midwestern spot to grab a drink and eat some pizza/food with friends. They serve my favorite pizza in Kansas City. If you don't like some sweetness in your sauce then you won't like the pie. If you do, you're gonna love it. We often go here after we've had a few and it's never too full to find a seat. They have all the usual beers on tap and there's a great outside space to enjoy the weather at night or during the day.

Taco Tuesday here is an absolute must in life. Once you go here and try just one $2 taco then you too will find yourself trapped in an endless loop of coming here every Tuesday for the rest of your life. I'll see you there...Tuesday.

Slacked on photos tonight because I was busy eating the hot food burning my mouth because it was so good. We went to Moretina's Caddy Shack tonight and it was excellent. We had their honey bbq wings, corn nuggets, a pizza & Italian steak sandwich. And I'd got back and eat it again. Their sugu (red sauce) is sooo good. I highly recommend!! Its a sports bar & very relaxed

Yep, it's a dive bar, but OMG is the pizza great! Most would call it a "dive" bar, but it better fits the description of a neighborhood bar. With a humble appearance, inside it's a friendly place owned and operated by a longtime "neighborhood" resident (and maybe a few generations before). Relaxed but clean, the service is always above what would be expected, and first timers are welcomed as well as old hands. A full bar with typical neighborhood bar liquor selections, wine and draught beer brands you would expect, and bottled premium beers, you should expect to be covered while you chat / dine / watch the game / or shoot a game of pool. Smoking is allowed in the fenced outdoor patio area (complete with propane heaters for the winter months), and table service is provided throughout the property. And now the pizza: First, I love pizza! Thick, thin, or whatever crust, I am there! Caddy Shack pizza is a thin crust, style with the most authentic Sicilian sauce I've ever found! Added to that is the option for "Provel" cheese rather than the usual provolone cheese usually found on pizza. My advice is to go with the Provel, it's smoother, and has a much more "complementing" flavor. It is my favorite pizza in Kansas City (right after my mother-in-law's authentic Sicilian Pizza - using her mother's sauce recipe. Street parking is available, and I've never felt "unsafe" either walking from my car or leaving my car their for the evening. Prices are right, beer's cold, service is great, and the pizza is outstanding - what's not to love!
