Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria Barrington

This place is HUGE! Went to an event there with over 100 people and it sat us all with plenty of room to spare. We had the thin crust pizza and chicken fingers and brashetta which all were amazing! Cool vibe, lots of history. Good bar with average pricing on drinks. Plenty of tvs around bar and friendly service. Also the place was clean and tidy. Great job team and we will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Food was great...Service was not the best. We did have an issue with one of the drinks too. Pizzas were yummy, and the cheese bread was amazing!

Great restaurant we celebrated our mom's 60th birthday party here. Party hall with a screen, mics, mixers and great food. We had about 45 guests.

The service here was incredible. Our server was on top of filling drinks and updating us on the food while it was prepared. Ordered a deep dish well done and the crust was perfect. This is my new favorite.

Very Disappointing – Not Like the Photo Tuska’s veggie pizza was completely different from what was shown in the photo. I thought it would be a classic veggie pizza, but it came looking more like a dip. The vegetables weren’t even visible — they were hidden under the tomato sauce. It wasn’t just cheese like in the picture, and the taste didn’t make up for the confusion. We didn’t like it at all. It really ruined the meal.

We were there to celebrate a friendship farewell party. The food and service was buffet style, so the review is based on that. Food was great while service was average. Atmosphere was great as well , very sporty...

Went on a busy night so I can understand the service being a bit slow, but the food was great and the guy they had performing was entertaining.

We hosted a party in the private room, managed by Kim who with her many years of experience was able to keep track of the details that made the party a success. From tending bar to keeping an eye on the food needs, plus small details like fetching a high chair, she was amazing. Thanks to Alex for managing the room booking and the audio visual, very accommodating overall. I'd recommend hosting a party here, it's a great venue.

Katie R... was amazing. she met all our crazy requests and was delightfu! every time! She went beyond to make our night relaxing and fun. ask for Katie R!! but we have first dib!

We had an event in a private room last night and everything was amazing! Managing 50+ people with yummy dinners is no easy task. Thank you to Kim, Reanin (spelling) and Sherry for looking after us! We will be back!

We hosted a birthday party for 60 people at Moretti's Ristorante and Pizzeria in Barrington, IL yesterday. Everything was exceptional! Kim O. helped me with all the planning. Our guests raved about how delicious the food was. Drinks were readily available, and Kim and her co-workers were attentive to everything we needed during the party. When we have another large party, it will be here.

So this place is always a good meal. We had 4 pizza and two appetizers. And a dessert. So the bread this time was good. At another location I got it frozen so hot is way better. The spinach artichoke dip was liked by the whole table. I thought it tasted like Alfredo sauce so not my pick lol. We had a stiff bbq chicken pizza the Italian beef with sausage special one deep dish. The other side of the table had a thin and deep not sure what it was. The dessert was banana fosters cheesecake. Again a strange spice was in it. We were a large party and was put in a very loud corner. But the other table was very nice family. The service was fantastic the staff really works hard and seems to be a cohesive team. Definitely worth the trip

We got the wrong order again! Ordered two burgers $15.99 each one was correct and the other one was not, and they even forgot fries! I don't think the quality of the beef is what it used to be, it used to be really tasty. I think what's so upsetting is that when you order something like mashed potatoes with a chicken dish and it comes swamped in gravy, and you call them they do nothing about it. Restaurants like lettuce, entertain you will try to make things right and give you a free gift certificate. Really for the number of times we have eaten at this restaurant, which they can see on their screen, you think that they would give us a free gift card or tell us to come in and eat free. It's ridiculous. We are not going back.

Korrina was our waitress and she was awesome! You can tell she loves her job and made our experience incredible!

I loooooove Moretti's. It is the best pizza in Barrington & just such a good vibe. The cheesy breadsticks were so addictive I couldn't stop eating them. The thin crust is always perfectly crispy & I have never left here feeling dissatisfied. Service is always decent even when crowded.

Really loved this location, building is newer on the inside than the one we frequent. Service was great, we had Kyla at the bar taking care of us while we were waiting for a print order to be finished up the street and she was great. Super knowledgeable and great with our little ones. The Ahi Tuna on special was great if you're stopping by soon I'd give it a try.

The food was good as always. I ordered takeout. They forgot the French Fries that I ordered for my daughter... all she wanted... I understand that forgetting an item can happen. I called to tell them about the missing French Fries. The person who picked up the phone said that they could give me a credit to my account. I told her I do not have an account and just wanted a credit done on my credit card. She said the manager could not do this because my account was closed. I have been in retail and know that if they really wanted to give me a credit to my credit card they could have done it... worst case void transaction and put the order in again without the fries. Transactions are not closed until end of evening. Wish I could get the credit to.my credit card I stead of having a Tab for whenever I go back???

We got the pizza with the stuffed Asiago crust. We ordered pepperoni and mushroom. The sauce was light and tasty. They are very generous with the cheese and ingredients. It was cooked perfectly. The asiago in the crust is nothing short of amazing. There are lots of pizza choices in the Chicago area, Moretti's stands up to all of them. Would give more stars if possible!

Great place for food and listen to great music. Been here many times. It gets better each time They make best chocolate martini

I must say, this location does the Friday fish fry very nicely. The order consisted on Five breaded fish "planks" and fries. The fries were seasoned well and crispy. The fish pieces were cooked well and stayed crispy until I made it to the final two pieces (the bottoms got a little soggy from the plate). Probably would work better if they were plated on top of the fries. At any rate, I truly enjoyed the food!

The food is excellent! Been to many Moretti's locations in the burbs. They all have a great sports bar atmosphere. However this one is massive. Service is good. I think its average because of the size and how busy, how long it takes for complex menu items take to cook. Staff have always been nice. The food at this location is the star! Highly recommend the Brick Chicken! The pull apart cheesy bread is awesome too.

We went here today for a baby shower and they did a FANTASTIC job! It was a great environment and the pizza was spectacular! The bartenders were fantastic and friendly, which is always a plus. Absolutely recommend!

Customer Service is not so excellent it's acceptable. I guess there are more options to explore best food.

Moretti's is an Italian restaurant in Barrington, IL. They have specials during the week and the 1/2 off pizzas with purchase of drink (dine in only) on Tuesdays caught my attention. It was lively on the inside both times I went and service was friendly. There are a few tvs around on the walls to watch different events. I indulged in the 14" vegetarian deep dish pizza the first time. I thought it was pretty solid especially for the price. The crust was buttery and slightly crumbly. There was plenty of cheese and vegetables. I was a little apprehensive about asparagus on my pizza, but it worked out well. Everything was cohesive with a good flavor profile. Half of the pizza got me to a really nice place hunger wise. The 2nd time I came I ordered a 16" thin crust pizza with ground beef and mushroom. It was not as good as the deep dish. I don't think the same pizza dough works as well in thin crust form and the flavor fell flat compared to the Tuscan vegetarian pizza that I had the first time. They were not strict about ordering a drink for the special this time. The deep dish pizza was nice and I would order it again!

This rating is not for the food, but for the managers attitude towards the customers. We drove 30 miles to this location to see our friends band play and to watch the Blackhawks game. We watched the first period of the game, then they shut it off for the Bulls game. We requested to have the Hawks game out back on, but they said that someone requested the Bulls game. So in other words, screw everyone who was watching the Hawks. Well the Bulls game went to halftime and the Hawks game had 4 minutes left, so I asked if we could watch the last 4 minutes of the Hawks game. The manager said she couldn't do it because someone requested to watch the Bulls, even though they weren't playing at the time. I said that was ridiculous because they were not even playing. She just turned and walked away from me. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location. The managers attitude really sucked and she treated us like crap. If you're going for the food, I have no complaints about that. But if you have any special requests, don't expect anything from the management. The customer service stinks.

I used to love this place. Last time I ordered from there I had the worst experience. I waited over an hour for a thin crust pizza. It was a Monday night around 8pm. The place was dead. I I had to ask several people for help but no one helped me. Some manager finally said he was going to help me and comp my pizza after waiting for an hour. He just walked away and never returned. I reached out to them and they never responded. The pizza they sent me home with was undercooked. Just absolutely terrible experience and they don't care at all. I had my last two birthday parties there (party of 14 people) but we will not be returning. Don't waste your time with this place.

After trick or treating, we stopped at Morettis for dinner and drinks. I flew in from Florida to surprise the kids for Halloween. I ordered a Goose Dirty Martini. This is what I was served. A dirty Martini on the rocks in a rocks glass no olives. It took me a minute to grasp wtf actually happened. How this got past a bartender without questioning the inexperienced server. I wasn't pissed so when she finally came over about 10 minutes. I asked for another glass. I would just pour it myself at the table. After another 10 minutes, she brought a soda glass with straw. I'm still not pissed just slightly irritated because I really wanted that dirty Martini after trick or treating in a freaking blizzard ( I'm from Florida). She came back. I just returned the entire drink and asked for a bartender to remake it. I politely explained to her why martinis are usually served with NO ice. She was sweet and said Oh that makes sense." She said when I put it in, it had to options rocks or up. She laughed. I laughed. She comes back with Martini glass, not chilled, no olives. This was no joke about an hour after we arrived. The bus boy came to deliver food. I asked him for some olives for my Martini. His response was sorry I couldn't serve alcohol . We left a great tip because this really had little to do with the server, but it had everything to do with management and bartender!

No clue why this place would get a rating less than 4-stars. Got there early on a Saturday night for a surprise birthday party. Hostesses were more than accommodating and really made sure we had a great set-up for our family party. Food was good, everyone was happy with what they ordered. Drinks were on point. By the time we left at 630pm, the place was packed, brimming with high school kids, families, couples, and older folks out for a good time. One story of note: I've never been here before, but it looked like they hire a lot of local BHS kids. I love that. One of the young men (16-17yo maybe) spilled a few fries and chicken fingers when he put the tray down. He served the rest of the food, apologized, and practically ran to replace the order. Less than FIVE MINUTES later, here he comes with a whole new plate...we got to keep what had not spilled. Kudos to that young man and the management who trained him! Overall, they went above and beyond for our family!

The live music ruins what is a great place with a solid staff and an amazing bar. PLEASE STOP THE LIVE MUSIC!!!

Thursday evening we were seated and no server came for 15 minutes or so, when the waitress finally came she was very unfamiliar with the specials, soups, almost everything. She said she was new, two weeks new, should be familiar enough for the specials? Had the 10 inch pizza, five dollar wines and was charged 18 for two five dollar drinks. Got that corrected, place was not overly busy and seemed that all servers were huddled together at the register. Had the the chicken and Caesar salad, food was 4 stars. I think more training is needed, required for the young servers if the restaurant wants people to keep coming back.

We have been going for half price pizza on Tuesday for a few months now. Service was very good at the bar at first but it appears the good bartender is no longer there. Now the last few times the bartenders 2 blonds are not very welcoming nor attentive. Never check on you or for that matter even smile. Today got our pizza wrong after repeated it twice to make sure. Maybe you should write it down. Not sure if we will be coming back

We attended a party there a couple weeks ago for our friends that recently got married. While the food was delicious and the ambiance stunning I just have to get this off my chest. The woman that was serving the party with dark short hair, is so rude. I don't think she should not be in her line of work if you can't answer simple questions with out an aire of annoyance about you.

Good pizza and salads. Service is fantastic. We booked my father's memorial luncheon in their private rooms. Food was great and service staff were so accommodating. Highly recommend.

Place was empty on a weekend. Should have been an indicator. Ordered a salad for me and a burger for my husband. Food came and server disappeared not to be seen again. My salad was missing 3 items!! No tomato's, no olives, no avocado. It was a burrata and tomato salad - with no tomatoes. As we could not find our server , or any server, ate the tiny salad with missing main ingredients. Finally tracked down a server 15 min later. Told him what happened and he said he will tell the cook. Didn't comp or fix the issue.

Met up with the ole Fire Dept Crew & Friends. (Been too long), we agreed to meet at Moretti's on Wool Street. Ordered their Grilled & Fried Calamari before and they were tasty. Tonight it was Hydration, Blushing Russians & Two orders of Pizza: Sausage & Garlic and a vegetable medley. Crust was crispy, sauce was equally spread with plenty of toppings. It was a blast catching up. Mangia & Cheers!

This place needs serious help. We live in Barrington, and as much as we support this restaurant, 50% of the time they screw it up. The bartenders are a total crap shoot, the kitchen struggles to get food out, the servers seem to think that their job is to entertain each other. Shameful. Clean it up Hoffman. This place is a real failed opportunity. Go to Ciao Baby. Better food, better staff, and a better pour, too.

21st Century Dads Foundation held a celebratory event at Moretti's Barrington. The venue was perfect, the food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. Kudos to David Yunez for making everything just so.

GARBAGE I ordered this rare and it came out drier than jerky. The waitress was fantastic but the filet mignon sliders were drier than the Sahara.

My review is not about the food. Food was good and anyone would enjoy it. My experience with the hostess and waitress was unbelievably disgusting the way they treated us, not sure why we were being rushed out and unable to enjoy the music and football games We were a party of 14 and needless to say we're spending quite a bit of money but the waitress was rude and the hostess was even ruder the bartender did apologize for their behavior and asked us to stay and enjoy. It's is a great place to go and enjoy good food just pray you don't get these 2 horrible employees or sit at bar bartenders are fun and friendly people.

Bad experience on multiple fronts. First, we were seated and not greeted by a waitress for 15 minutes. After having our drink orders taken, our drinks were brought back for another 15 minutes. Everyone requested a water in addition to their other drink - the waitress brought one water back, and after asking for the remaining 3, only brought 2 more for the entire meal. Food: 3 out of 4 people had an issue with their meal. I ordered a wrap with fries. They literally brought the wrap out on a plate without fries lol.... everyone instantly noticed... how do you not catch the fact that the plate is just a wrap with half of the plate empty. They brought fries out (20 mins later). Another person requested a salad with a different dressing, the salad was brought out with the wrong dressing. The correct dressing didn't come out for 5 mins while everyone else already had their meal. Also, the soup that came with this salad was cold. Someone else got a meatball sub, which they said was actually pretty good, but their fries were completely cold. The waitress and staff in general just seemed extremely disconnected and careless. Even when something wrong occurred (clearly a lot), their urgency to correct the issue was literally so bad. The only person who did their job well was the bus boy. Really poor. All of the waiters/waitresses were very casual and spent a lot of time chatting by their register, all while we always had something we were waiting on to be fixed that was done wrong initially. Bad vibes, probably a training/management issue in the end.

Food is always great! Service hit or miss. Absolutely did not appreciate four guys vaping at the bar tonight without anyone telling them to step outside.

Went in last Tuesday for bingo and pizza, food was great staff was better. Kyla , julia and Ron very attentive. Recommend the think crust !

When my family was looking for a place to hold our baby shower, a pizza place wasn't exactly our first choice. But we had a lot of people coming in and didn't want to deal with catering, so Moretti's actually worked out nicely for us. They have two large party rooms upstairs with TVs for showing off things, extra long tables, and right off the train station for people coming in from the city without cars. And they have food beyond pizzas. At first we thought we would need both rooms, but as our guest list shrank a little we were able to fit into the larger one. Our party was at 11 but we were able to come a little earlier to decorate and set up a photo backdrop. We put out our centerpieces, a few signs for games to play, and we were ready to go just as people started to arrive. Since it was lunch time there was a little coffee and water station set up which was nice to break up the crowd a bit. We were assigned Terry and Kim who were absolutely perfect in helping us out, and the party wouldn't have gone off as well as it did without them. I think my college friends alone used up every high chair in the restaurant, but they were able to fulfill all our requests promptly and even made sure my wife and I were comfy with drinks and answered all our questions. When one of my cousins was late due to a family emergency, they were nice enough to prepare him a plate of food which I really appreciated. Speaking of, the food was all great, mostly because we picked it - who doesn't want buffalo wings and calamari at your baby shower? I liked the Italian beef and my wife really enjoyed their mashed potatoes. I also heard lots of rave reviews for their vanilla ice cream. Overall, even though we packed it in a bit, it was a perfect day and a super fun party. Kim and Terry definitely went above and beyond, and I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a small venue for their party.

Love Morettis in Barrington! We went in last Tuesday and had a great experience. The bartenders Kyla and Julia were fantastic and very attentive!

Very bad experience. Visited this place in July. Came in for large pizza to go. placed order with some redhear teen. Paid for it and said will come pick up pizza in 20 minutes. Came back and was told I paid accidentally for someones order that was dining in there. I asked the red headed teen how dit it happen and she said she did it by mistake. So now the other party has my credit card number since she gave them my receipt. Lol. I was livid. Then I ask to speak to the manager and he was not apologetic to me at all and defended the teen who gave away my credit card number to another party. He gave me my pizza, said he will try to void out the first transaction. Charged me again for my pizza and to make matters worse charged me Sur Charge lol not sure what for and did not even say thank you. All these mistakes and he scolded me telling me to give the teen a break. I got CHARGED SURCHARGE FOR ORDERING 1 pizza to go. I called later another manager and needed to know why I was screwed around and got charged surchrged. he was very apologetic and ended up voiding everything and comping the pizza. Finally some good service and my credit card was clear of being charged twice once for someone elses meal and my pizza. Pay attention to your bill. Make sure there is no surcharge and your bill is correct. As teens in there will make you pay for someone elses meal and give away your credit card information.

I have no idea why the reviews here are so bad. I have never physically been to the store but I always love to order there because there pizza is decent, and their chicken wings are amazing.

The food is versatile and consistently good. We order their pizza, sliders, pasta, and my favorite is the salmon with the relish. The ambience is kid friendly and the service is nice and reliable. This is our go-to place in Barrington when dining with a group.

No complaints. Everything is always pretty good when we come here. Salads are fresh and pizza is good. My preference is the thin crust and would recommend the burrata salad and get the tiramisu for dessert. Grilled squid is also a favorite of mine too. Price is $$.

I've been to this Moretti's location numerous times as well. On Saturday night they offer a live entertainment. This past Saturday Entertainer Nick Sanchez was there and he did a fantastic job singing (as always). Moretti's meatball appetizer and meatball sandwich is fantastic and same with their french fries. Their chicken avocado sandwich is really good too. Their prices are reasonable, especially for this area. There is also ample parking. Moretti's has a large cocktail, beer and wine selection, an ample bar area and a nice outdoor seating area in the summer. I will definitely be back!

A big shout out to Sean for helping us to plan a wonderful 15th birthday party for my daughter. The room was beautiful and a perfect size. The food was really good, and a great deal for all that we got. Kim, our assigned server, was attentive to our needs. She made the day so perfect for us. Nick was very helpful as well. I couldn't have asked for a better venue for my teenage daughter and her friends. I highly recommend Moretti's for a fun birthday party venue!!

Simply a great place with a great thin crust pizza. I ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza. The pizza had plenty of ingredients, cooked to perfection, cracker thin crust, tasty crispy pepperoni, great sausage and very good sauce. Very enjoyable pizza. I did carry out because of COVID, but it looks like a very nice place to dine in inside or outside. Nice looking patio! I will go back!

we were highly disappointed in the entrance staff to begin with as it took a few minutes while they were chatting to attend to us getting our request for a seating. the appetizers were less than generous Portions for the amount of money spent. the waiter was very slow and was cleaning multiple tables while we were just trying to be efficient and get our orders in at the same time as drinks. our pizza was overdone, and my bacon was under cooked. the waiter recognized it was undercooked c but nothing offered to cook it longer.z in leaving trying to get a check, the manager ignored us. it will be a long time to try them again. And we love the ambiance as a family friendly restaurant.

We only did carry out due to COVID. I got the Italian Beef with hot and sweet peppers and extra au jus on the aide, my bf got alfredo with chicken and we got the bruchetta appetizer to split. 4/5 - Bruchetta: it was good I'd say pretty average nothing outstanding, but I am satisfied that everything was packaged separately so the toasted points were still crispy. My only complaint was I wish there was more fresh basil as we only got 2 leaves for 4 pcs. 4/5 - Italian Beef: like the appetizer everything was packaged individually again which was great. I unwrapped a decent sized beef, added the hot peppers and sweet peppers and drenched it in juice. I think what I really liked was the fact they gave me 2 cups of juice so I could really make this sandwich wet! It also came with a side of fries... but by the time we got home the fries were not so great... but you could tell if you had eaten them there, they would have been crisp and fresh instead of an almost stale taste to them. All in all my beef was good, also so big I was able to get two meals out of it 4/5 - Chicken Alfredo: I can't say much for this as I didn't eat it but I was told it was good and he would get again. His only complaint was the garlic bread that was just not great almost like eating soggy stale bread. He let me have a bit of it... not great at all. We barely finished the 1st pc and opted to throw the 2nd one away. But he also had leftovers for another meal as the portion was big. 0/5 - Curbside service: The website and our order said to call when we got there... upon arrival there were signs pointing to where we could park for curbside which we did. Then we proceeded to call to let them know we were there. That's when things went down hill for us. After listening to numerous menu options we choose the best one suited where we a girl picked up and told us to "please hold" then we waited for 10 mins listening to the chill elevator music on the other line. Finally we heard a click and we thought yay, but we were wrong it went to just endless ringing for an additional 5 mins... after that we heard a click and we were hung up on... we tried calling back but when we did and we pressed our #2 it told us that our selection wasn't available.. like what? It just worked! Kinda hangry and greatly annoyed at the curbside pick up I had my bf pull around to the entrance so I could just walk in. Thankfully I had brought a mask as sometimes for curbside I get forgetful. 2/5 - Pick up: Grumpily having to resort to pick up I went in to get our food. There I waited as the hostess took care of some people in front of me then got to the counter. The nice thing was the food did not sit out it was in a warmer and a fridge up at the front. As we were now going on 25 mins after the initial pick up time due to the phone fiasco, at least we still get hot food! Yay! All in all, I was not the happiest camper with how pick up turned out and getting the food almost 30 mins after pick up time when it was actually ready on time. But the food was decent and we would give it a shot again. Next time knowing better to do curbside and just go in. So yeah I'd recommend them. P.S they do offer dine in and its such a huge place you don't have to worry about being in close proximity of another group. Multiple rooms and floors it looked like they were spreading out people everywhere! Which since they have the room I applaud them for it.

Arrived exactly at time of reservation for 4 adults, 6:45. Were seated in 5 minutes. Had to ask for a server as no one had come to the table. Ordered drinks at 6:55, ordered food shortly thereafter. Asked for service several more times as NOTHING had been brought to us. Nicely complained to manager at 7:30, who responded rudely. AT 7:36 we left , still having received nothing - no drinks, no food, no set ups, no service at all. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Won't be going back.

Way too loud. There should be some relief from the live music volume when you are seated outside of the bar area. Thin crust pizza and fried calamari were tasty, but my husband and I didn't feel great later in the evening.

This Location in Barrington has the worst bar server I've been to. Bartenders won't even look at you, they will keep passing by you, and ignore you until another server finally sees you. They ignore you for almost 1/2 an hour until they start servicing. They have these two blonde women servers one taller and the shorter who are so unenthusiastic as a server. Very unhappy and not so friendly. We have been giving this place a chance for the last 2 months to see if service will get better. Obviously, nothing has changed. So we finally decided to go to the Morettis in Hoffman Estate, what a difference! The bartenders even remembered us from the last time we were here in this Hoffman Estate location. They were so quick to serve and acknowledge us right away. They were so friendly and very nice to serve us. This location will be a regular bar now. "Forget you Morettis in Barrington"! We will never be back there!
