This place is an awesome spot to plop yourself down and treat your taste buds to some sushi joy. The décor inside is so beautiful and artsy, complete with sweeping ceiling rails that add "texture," which I assume is restaurant-speak for "we wanted to look fancy and it worked." Honestly, it felt like dining inside a minimalist, stylish cloud.
We kicked things off with edamame and hamachi kama, both of which were delicious enough to make me question why I ever microwave anything. Then we moved on to entrées and sushi. I ordered my beloved Grilled Saba, which was seasoned so perfectly I had a brief emotional moment with it. And yes, I am an unapologetic sucker for Japanese ginger dressing, I would pour it in a cup and sip it like iced tea if it were socially acceptable.
The sushi? Fresh, delicious, and impressively fast considering the restaurant was busier than Costco on a Sunday. The service was also great, so many people checked on us that I felt like royalty or at least someone who tips very well (I do, thank you).
The one tiny downside: the prices. This place is definitely on the "treat yourself" side of life. Not quite sell-a-kidney expensive, but definitely "brace your bank account" territory. So maybe bring your appetite and your budget planner.
Overall: yummy food, great vibes, lovely people, slightly painful bill. Would I come back? Absolutely. Will my wallet complain the whole time? Also absolutely.
