moriki

"Situated very close to the Festspielhaus (opera and concert house), the restaurant of Roomers hotel serves pan-Asian cuisine and a wide range of sushi. The menu reads, for example, "sake teriyaki – Scottish salmon, teriyaki glaze, sweet cucumber, rice". In a setting that is upscale and very much on trend, a young and enthusiastic front-of-house team provides competent service while maintaining a laid-back atmosphere." - Michelin Inspector

Good restaurant with fresh fish and quality rolls. We didn't book a table on saturday night but found a seat at the cozy bar. It's good when the customer is at the head of the service, but this is not about this place. The restaurant is very stylish and cool and the staff enjoy it and the customer is just an addition to the furniture. But give it a try.

I had an amazing dining experience. Located within the stylish Roomers Hotel, the restaurant’s setting is perfect, combining a chic atmosphere with a modern Japanese menu. The sushi was fresh, expertly crafted, and beautifully presented. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable.!

Great location at the Roomers Hotel, nice ambience in the restaurant (inside and outside seating), very good food, AND quite average service. Waiter forgot to order portions of our selections for starter and main course, also forgot to order one of the drinks we requested. Approach the experience with patience and you’ll likely enjoy it (if you get what you order).

Amazing, good looking and aromatic food. The waiter had patience and took his time to recommend items out of broad food selection. Also good list of foreign drinks (Italian beer for example) and sake selection. Would recommend in a heartbeat!!!

Scallop and asparagus was great! We didn’t have sushi but it looked good.

I was staying here in the hotel and trying to get over my jet lag. I found that miso soup helped my upset stomach. It was nice that they had room service to bring this up to my room and I could access the full menu of the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was extensive. There was something for everyone and I was able to order an omelette from the chef. You could even make your own mimosas or screwdrivers if you wanted. For dinner you could either order the international meal menu or their Japanese menu. Because I was here for two weeks I got to try a lot of their menu and it was all good and tasty. Even if you are not staying at the hotel this is a good restaurant to try.

Yelp
The food was amazing and my waiter/bar tender was phenomenal! It was a solo trip for me during my birthday weekend and I wanted a chill vibe, Moriki is super chill.

Yelp
I really, really miss proper sushi. This is suppose to be a "higher end" restaurant, and I was so excited to finally have some good sushi again. But the sashimi platter for 28€ ($33) looked and tasted like the #safeway pre-packed sushi. Total came out to 75€ (~$85) + tip. For what you see on the photos. Which is on the higher end for German standards. (For that quality probably even high for #californian ) Anyway, I liked that this place had valet, very nice service & free candy. What I would recommend is to not order the sashimi and just get rolls instead. I would give 2 stars, but because of the nice service I give an extra star. IG @livatravel

Yelp
I ate here twice while staying at the Roomers Hotel, and highly recommend. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the ambiance is really fun and hip, and the food was really quite good. The first night I had the omakase for one, and everything was really, really good. The nigiri and sashimi were delicate and fresh, and the special rolls had not only a ton of flavor, but really interesting textures (some crunch involved). That and some warm sake (fine, and a Japanese whiskey) made for an excellent meal. The second time I had gyoza and some hamachi crudo to start, and then a spicy tuna roll. The gyoza were good but not great, but presented in a really unique way with some fried panko, I think connecting all the dumplings. The hamachi was excellent and I really enjoyed the roll as well. It isn't an especially quiet place, with the clubby music going on, but if you're looking for some really good Japanese food in a fun atmosphere and are staying in the area, definitely give it a try!

Yelp
This restaurant was conveniently located inside of the Roomers Autograph Collection hotel that I've stayed at a couple of times while visiting Baden-Baden. The restaurant is very clean and modern. I moved to Germany from Hawaii a little over a year ago haven't been able to satisfy my sushi craving...until now! I've dined here a few times over the last month and the sushi and sashimi was soooo good!! The only dish I didn't care for was the agedashi tofu...it was different from the ones I'm used to in Hawaii and Japan. I'd say that the prices are good for what you get. I'll definitely dine here again!

Yelp
Definitely recommend the shiitake mushroom soup for a starter. Sushi was of the highest quality.
