"Iimori accomplishes the exquisite feat of combining two very special cultural influences across its two floors: European baking and Asian cuisine. The café downstairs offers the finest French patisseries, while on the first floor owner Madame Iimori serves up delicious Japanese fare. "Situated very close to the Festspielhaus (opera and concert house), the restaurant of Roomers hotel serves pan-Asian cuisine and a wide range of sushi. The menu reads, for example, "sake teriyaki – Scottish salmon, teriyaki glaze, sweet cucumber, rice". In a setting that is upscale and very much on trend, a young and enthusiastic front-of-house team provides competent service while maintaining a laid-back atmosphere." - Michelin Inspector

Google
Amazing food, amazing and attentive service staff. Amazing experience but the atmosphere/ interior were more like a office instead of a Japanese restaurant. Definitely worth a recommendation and the menu tasted great! The fish quality was really good.

A particular highlight was the personalized sushi menu crafted for our starters – a delightful and unique touch. The lamb chops are an absolute must-try, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Combine all this with the fantastic ambiance, and you have a truly memorable meal. Highly recommended!

Overpriced - Special menu ribeye had areas of tough collagen/tendon and was not good, costing 68 euros. Soy sauce-laden rice Sushi was of good quality but the rice was a bit hard. Service was good.

Freshest sushi ever!! My friend ordered chefs choice and I was just jealous of his food. We will be definitely going back. Staff were also very kind and nice. Reservation is a must!

Sitting jn this Japanese restaurant is like seeking for sweetness in momordica charantia. Having more than 50 empty indoor seats but we are still arranged next to a 3-children table. I started searching my inner peace and quiet cuz the outside would is just full of noise. I never expected to become a monk here in Europe. Tho we didnt order for more food, but extra proteins (bugs or flies) just came and shared the joy of food in an indoor area. Food is just fine.

We visited during the busy lunch hour, and the place was completely packed and quite loud. The food was underwhelming, offering more of a “foreign version” of Japanese cuisine rather than something authentic. Decent for casual dining, but nothing particularly special.

We visited Frankfurt the second week of December. We wanted to try sushi here so I just googled and Moriki came up with good reviews. I called to make sure they had table since we travelled with young children, but they were fully booked for the night. The person answered the phone sounded very nice over the phone so I decided to make reservation online for the next day, and I was glad I did. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience. The ambiance was fancy, definitely fit for a celebration/anniversary. I felt like we over ordered since we wanted to try many dishes here, but we didn’t regret it. All the dishes were delicious. Service was okay. It could be better since it’s pretty pricey here. Honestly, we were aware the dining service in Germany is different compared to the US so we didn’t expect a top notch service. I would come back if I ever visited Frankfurt again.

We had diner at Moriki. It was a busy Sunday evening, and the large terrace already full, so we went to sit inside. The waiters were good despite the busy crowd. We chose the Chef’s Specials menu of €115,- pp. - expensive but the experience made it so worth it! The menu consisted of five courses of which three consisted of two dishes each, the last two courses being the main and dessert. These first three courses were served on plates to share which made it even more fun. I cannot highlight enough how absolutely delicious all the dishes were!! Not very often am I surprised by new and exciting flavours, and Moriki totally blew me away with its Chef’s Specials menu. The sake my husband ordered was recommended to him by the waiter, and it went well with all the dishes. I saw that most guests ordered sushi platters, and we plan on trying those as well. The sushi that were served in the Chef’s Specials menu were very good.

Yelp
Have the rewrite this. My first review was an accident I meant for my favourite sushi restaurant in Dublin. Same name. Duh. The quality of the ingredients here are fabulous. The décor nice, casual enough for the price. We are on the patio because of the weather and Covid but inside looks really great also. The service was absolutely shocking. Bad, slow, rude so in reality I think management needs to pay attention but the cook's and all area's in the kitchen deserve 2 thumbs up. Will I go back? Maybe. Frankfurt has fabulous restaurants. Service is definitely very important to me. Make a reservation. Even in Covid the restaurant was packed and people were turned away.

Yelp
This place is a very modern Japanese/Vietnamese fusion restaurant located at the Taunusanlage. A lot of cars pass by though which can smell unpleasantly sometimes if you sit outside. I went here twice already and I have to say that the Sushi is more basic. The Vietnamese dishes are okay. If you want to eat Vietnamese food, there are better options in Frankfurt. However, I would highly recommend the starters which are really fancy. We had soft shell crab and some fish with truffel. It's a nice place to enjoy good food and good wine. The service is very friendly and fast. It is a very fancy and pricy place though.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place out ever since I saw it from driving by. It has got a little modern, coolness to the design. So we finally went there for lunch, but oh boy, I am disappointed. This is really NOT a real Japanese place. This is at most a fusion Vietnamese, Japanese resto. Food is really not fresh, lots of canned food has been used in our dishes, you can really taste the weird sourness from the cans. Then the sushi isn't quite at the right temperature.... We kinda just chucked down the meal and left as soon as possible and decided not to go back again. Thumbs down!

Yelp
A very nice meal at MORIKI in Frankfurt. Excellent appetizers and main courses. Very interesting sushi's. Dip into the " extreme rolls " list and the fancy stuff. But if you want to be amazed, stick to the appetisers list and order EVERYTHING. Don't miss the seabream carpaccio, the Corn and the beef tataki ! Have Junmai sake and a bottle of Weissburgunder at the same time. Great " lounge " atmosphere and great cocktails too.

Yelp
Ordered from Moriki during lock-down. Today new location, longer wait and smaller portions. Taste seemed also to suffer (one of the shashimi choice was a bit smelly (maguro). 35 Euro Chefs choice with 20 min wait after appointed time. Staff gave out a free beer for the wait, but overall disappointing. New location (less rent) missing top staff from flagship restaurant (?) with smaller portions, but the same price ... done it. Over it

Yelp
Every year, I experience a bit of Bill Murray's "Groundhog Day" experience. From January until April I am lost in trade-show-season, where each day is a repeat of hte last, and each year repeats the previous year. You'd think this would get annoying - and sure, it does a little. But what doesn't get annoying is the annual opportunity to eat at Moriki. I think this is year 6 or 7 in a row of our annual visit. And I am EXCITED. The service, food, wine and ambiance are wonderful. In a German city full of Euro foods, it's so comforting to know I can take clients here. Not that there's anything wrong with European food, it's just...just...I always want Asian food instead! And with Moriki I can get what I want. Hooray! Bill Murray ain't got nuthin on me.

Yelp
So, the next try by Miriki.. I've been in Moriki for lunch. The tables are too close to other tables, so not for a date. Lunch menu was good, but nothing special: Sushi were not better then at other restaurants, even worth then in Kamin, for example. So: meal not perfect (at least sushi), no private space like at the restaurants from the same price level (for example Zensakan is muuch more private). Why to pay more?

Yelp
Have been to Moriki with my colleagues a few times. The restaurant is more upscale but you definitely get what you pay for. The sushi is fresh, well prepared and great service. I have tried a good majority of the menu and have been pleased by everything that made its way onto my plate. Highly recommend for a nice night out.

Yelp
Very delicious food, sadly we couldn't eat inside due to the coronavirus regulations, but this allowed us to have a very peculiar experience by eating this relatively fancy food (crispy chicken rolls and miso duck) while sitting on a bench on the underground Taunusanlage station below the Deutsche Bank building :-)

Yelp
Omakase choice #1 Hot ozeki Sake Nothing to rave about. The omakase was a repetition of sake(salmon): 1 x negiri, 2 x sashimi and salmon miso pepper tempera roll . A few slices of maguro, walu and California roll. Complementary Hiramae and hamachi The sushi was fresh, but the quality was not so good. The fish did not give me that, "wow factor." It was just bland. All the fish was pre-cut ahead of time and not slice ala carte to order. Entree was pretty pricey for specialty rolls and main courses $15-30. Service was top notch Atmosphere was a bit cluttered. It was like walking into Macy's furniture store( couches with coffee tables). I would definitely come back for drinks and chill at the outdoor seating area, but won't be back for the sushi.

Yelp
First time I visited Moriki I thought it was way overpriced for sushi. Went again with a friend that recommended sticking to fusion plates a was a better experience. The food is good, I still feel is a place for corporates cards and be seen in Frankfurt.

Yelp
Definitely the best sushi I've had in Frankfurt. Not an inexpensive option, but worth it in my opinion. Five stars for the food and drink. Everything was fresh, well presented, and tasted amazing. Cocktails here are expensive, but very good. The loss of a star is purely for service - on our most recent trip here we were celebrating a wedding anniversary and I happily would have had five cocktails. Getting the second one took 40 minutes and several requests. Make sure you call for a reservation, last week a colleague and I walked in on a Wednesday around 8:30. All but 3 tables were empty and they told us they were fully booked and every table would be full within half an hour...

Yelp
In town for business today. Local partner booked lunch here. The food are delicious. The waitresses look like supermodels.

Yelp
Great ambience and layout. Loved the decoration as we walked into the place. The food selection was really broad and the food we ordered was very fresh. We were pleasantly surprised with the oysters which were a little pricey but excellent quality. Sushi rolls were also very fresh without any fishy taste and great variety. Would definitely be back on another visit but I think reservations might be needed during regular dinner time as we came after 10 and it was still packed.

Yelp
Very cool Japanese fusion in a nice atmosphere. The food is delicious. Also everyone speaks English.

Felicia H.

Yelp
Not really impressed. I can in and was told I couldn't sit on the patio or the bar because of the rain, what rain? Anyways, service also disappointing. They speak English. However, I did feel not welcome. Not once did anyone ask did any one ask how I was doing, did I need anything, did I enjoy my meal. Chef special was nothing "special" just salmon and then all the way around. Overpriced and Overrated. I live in L.A. and trendy doesn't equal = snobby Only giving this three stars because I guess technically nothing was wrong, but nothing was right either.

Yelp
The food was not bad, it was okish, but I would not classify this as Japanese restaurant. This is a fusion restaurant, that serves not bad food, but not good either for the price they charge. Had some appetizers: hamachi ponze (no rocket science there, you have to really be bad to mess that one up), agedashi tofu, salmon skin salad, errrr big problem, they dont know how to do it! Salmon skin was extremely chewy! This suppose to be crisp!!! Main course: Garlic rice, which had no garlic flavor, just oily .... The grilled cod, the longer I ate it the saltier it got, thank god the sauce was on the side.... The nigiri, fish was okey, although a lot of the fish was pre-cut, sign of not true japanese kitchen .... And the rice, hmmm the one who made the nigiri just compiled the rice together and put the fish on top of it.... We were sitting at the bar....and was further amused by how they were making the rolls and nigiri .... Clearly not knowing the true technic of a sushi chef... All these things together, This restaurant is trying to be an upscale restaurant, charging the price, but lacking the services and true refined food. ....And for me too salty. Will I come here again? Nah, I would prefer to go to Iwase...

Hugh F.

Yelp
The sushi pizza appetizer was shockingly good. The ambiance equally impressive. The seaweed salad as good as it gets. Nothing really negative on the menu.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Frankfurt. I love this place for lunch and dinner. For lunch you can have a lunch menu which is different from the dinner menu. You can come here with kids, which is great for parents looking to eat in a " fancy" place with kids. The cocktails here are amazing. The sushi is amazing. BUT you need to reserve in advance. It will be nearly impossible to get a table without reservation, maybe for lunch it won't be that hard but for dinner you need to reserve, sometimes even few days in advance.

Yelp
Excellent food and very nice atmosphere. Open kitchen, so you can watch your sushi being made. They have a nice terrace, but I prefer to sit inside. I like the style of the interior. Both, sushi and dishes are good. Preferably go there for lunch. In the evenings it's sometimes a little crowded.

Yelp
I think it's overpriced. Ordered sushi set Nigiri. With that price they don't even have the rice done rightly. All the ingredients are not in good quality. The price goes mostly to decoration of the restaurant. I'd rather say it's a fancy restaurant from outside and decoration. Won't choose here again if you really eat authentic Japanese food.

Yelp
My favorite japanese restaurant in Frankfurt. Design and ambience are great and the quality of food was excellent. The mixed drinks both alcohol and alcohol free are excellent. The staff was young and the servers were very helpful. English was not a problem. Parking garage is available about 2 mins away walking to the left of the restaurant if your facing the front which is convenient as any other parking will be hard to find. Make reservations here as the restaurant has been full every time I have been to it. I recommend trying a variety of appetizers as they are all very tasty!

Yelp
Pretty good sushi place right in the middle of town at the base of the Deutsche Bank towers. Very well designed and inviting. Price-wise towards the higher end of the spectrum. Place was completely booked out the night we were there so we sat at the sushi bar. All the chefs are Japanese as far as I could tell. This is hopefully a good sign. Nevertheless, none of the service is. Fairly young staff and I found that they could have been a bit more attentive. Were polite but a bit disorganised and slow. I'd come back as the quality of food was high and I enjoyed the ambiance. Hopefully service steps it up a notch though to match the price-point.

Yelp
By far my favorite sushi place in Frankfurt! It's pretty hard to find decent sushi around here since I am from Chicago and can't beat some of the best rolls I've had BUT this place is truly amazing!Delicious rolls and lots of variety to choose from. I love the spicy edamame as a starter!! Been here several times and the service has been great! The drink menu is awesome, lots to choose from. Pricey but I would definitely recommend this place.

Adi F.

Yelp
There is not a single Japanese in the staff. The food is OK as fusion cuisine goes, but priced like an original Japanese restaurant. While I was sitting at the bar trying to eat they had a dozen people pooled up right behind me yakking away very loudly without any respect for the other patrons. This would be unthinkable in a real Japanese location, especially since the staff did nothing to calm those people down in any way. It was a very unpleasant experience and I wouldn't recommend going here. Plus they charged me full price in spite of my complaints about the noise and the stale beer!
