Morimoto Doha

We chose Morimoto at the Mondrian Doha to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. We set the tone for the evening with a relaxing ESPA wellness massage at the hotel beforehand, which made the transition into dinner feel seamless and indulgent. We opted for the Sushi & Steak Night, featuring a premium sushi selection alongside Wagyu beef steak and tiger prawns, and the food was truly indescribable. The sushi platter, highlighting tuna, eel, and octopus, was extraordinary, each piece showcasing impeccable freshness and balance. The Wagyu steak was cooked perfectly to our exact preference, rich and tender in every bite. Dessert was equally delectable and beautifully presented. What elevated the entire evening even further was our waitress, Soniya. She was incredibly attentive, warm, and highly professional, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout the night. In fact, all the staff managed by Filip were equally polite, and the service overall was impeccable. The restaurant itself is stunning, with a beautifully designed interior, perfect lighting, and a wonderful atmosphere. The DJ played an impressive Afro House set that subtly enhanced the ambience. Her mixing skills felt a bit underappreciated, as many guests didn’t seem to notice. Still, the music choice added a refined, modern energy to the space without overpowering the dining experience. We cannot wait to return, especially to try the ramen next. As a couple who hunts for exquisite ramen around the world, Morimoto is now firmly on our list of must-return destinations in Doha. Highly recommended.

Sonia was an amazing waitress. She was very helpful choosing the right beverage pairings, and made accommodations based on our needs. She was very prompt & attentive or letting our drinks get too low. Charles was great as well! His description of each omakase dish was insightful and knowledgeable. His handiwork with the table side wasabi & yuzu was impressive. They made our anniversary experience at Morimoto Doha an unforgettable one!! This is a must-experience restaurant if you’re in Doha.

We had such a fantastic time. We ordered the rolls and ramen menu with the cocktail pairings. The service was top-notch, our servers had great humour and a genuine desire to help. Nothing was an inconvenience, especially when we kept switching out certain mixes we weren't keen on. All of the food and drinks was good, and the venue itself was beautiful. An outstanding service that left us buzzing.

The service at Morimoto Doha is truly exceptional, warm, attentive, and seamless from start to finish. A special mention to Mary, whose outstanding hospitality made the experience even more memorable. The ambience is beautiful and elevated, making the whole evening feel extra special. The food is absolutely amazing, with every dish beautifully crafted and full of flavor. Overall, it’s an outstanding dining experience that I would highly recommend. I’m very happy I celebrated my birthday dinner here. Thank you, Morimoto team, for the sweet surprise!!!!

We celebrated our Christmas and Anniversary here at Morimoto and we really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Special thanks to Ms.Mary who was really accommodating and super friendly, she recommended the japanese steak which was superb💯💯💯. This is a must try, we'll definitely comeback!!❤️

I had a truly perfect night at Morimoto, from the very first moment until the last bite. From the hostess desk, I was welcomed by the two beautiful ladies, Islem and Favour, whose smiles and professionalism immediately set the tone for the evening. Passing by the bar where I was seated, I was warmly greeted and served by the talented bartenders Reka and Stanley, who made sure my drink was flawless and the atmosphere even better. A special mention goes to the manager Philip—his constant smile, positive energy, and presence throughout the night made a real difference and showed true leadership. When it came to dinner, everything was exceptional. My lovely waitress Maria was outstanding: her attitude, attention to detail, and the way she explained and served the dishes made the experience even more enjoyable. The food itself was absolutely delicious—beautifully presented, perfectly balanced in flavors, and honestly worth every bite. Morimoto is truly a place to be and dine in. The team, the service, the food, and the overall experience reflect excellence, and they genuinely deserve all the awards and recognition they’ve received. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

We arrived at the restaurant at 7:00 p.m., yet the sushi was not served until 8:20 p.m. My daughter was on the verge of falling asleep. The restaurant clearly accepted far more guests than it could reasonably handle, resulting in an unacceptable delay in service. While the sushi rice itself was of reasonable quality, the sushi as a whole was deeply disappointing. The fish was dry on the surface and lacked any sense of freshness. A significant portion of the sushi rolls was left uneaten. The steak was equally underwhelming. The quality of the meat was very average, lacking any richness or aroma from fat. The exterior was not properly seared or crisp, and the internal connective tissue was clearly noticeable and difficult to bite through. We ate only about one-third of the steak. The soy sauce was completely lacking in aroma, and the wasabi was clearly not freshly grated but an industrial, mass-produced product. It is difficult to understand why a restaurant would choose to serve such wasabi—or how this establishment could possibly be recognized as a Michelin-rated restaurant. The service staff were polite and repeatedly apologized for the slow pace of service, but apologies cannot compensate for such fundamental failures in food quality and restaurant management. I sincerely regret choosing this restaurant for a family dinner.
