Morning Service Coffee at Marsh

Update: This location (right on the bike path) has closed, and moved to another location that I haven't been to yet (Mellon Ave). Very tasty coffee right on the LA River Bike Path. I don't know about car parking, but it's easy to get there by bicycle. I had a flat white and it was excellent. Note they don't take cash. Card only to pay, but cash only if you want to tip the barista. Less crowded and more bike parking than the other places along the path - and the coffee is better too! My new favourite for my LA River rides!

Before Morning Service moved into Frogtown, there are a couple of coffee shops along LA River Bike Path and neither of them is good. So I was excited to see a new coffee shop on the trail, especially one with a beautiful patio, surrounded by cute little cacti. Morning Service is actually a PUQpress showroom so I'm not surprised that they seem to know their coffee. I had a cappuccino, a cortado, and a macchiato here from three different baristas and they were all on point, served in endearing handmade ceramic cups. The price point seems a bit higher than average though, especially given the less popular location. The shop just opened and is still figuring things out, including their cafe interior, which was more like a storage space two months ago but getting more like a cafe when I visited in August. It's now serving food from a food truck too.

If you are walking or biking the LA River path, this place is a perfect place to stop for a coffee, Gatorade or sparkling water. The river path fence opens directly to the shop, so you can pop off the path, grab a beverage, use the restroom and get back on the path. It's open from 8am to 3pm.

Really delicious coffees made by the nicest people!! Went on a Saturday and they had some fresh pastries available from Bread Lounge (chocolate cake and banana loaf were both delicious). Got an oat milk latte and a plain cappuccino - super smooth, neither needed anything extra, and this is coming from a person who often gets the most ridiculous vanilla-rose-macadamia thing on the menu 😆 Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating; really cute cactuses and trees around the patio that attracted some hummingbirds while we sat there. There’s a gate open directly to the LA River path so you can easily walk/bike in from there. On weekdays you have to park on Ripple and walk up the alley to the office compound, but on weekends you can drive right in and park at any of the spots facing the river.

A very hidden place but the staff is extremely friendly even on a busy day and the coffees hit the spot! Went with a bunch of Porsches for a car meet that spawned long lines for drinks but the staff was quick and always engaging.

The idea of having a coffee stop on the LA bike path is perfect. It’s really all I want in a cafe, a place to walk to, relax, and then continue walking and saying good morning to all the local bikers and dog walkers 🚲🦮 I really loved the interior of Morning Service, it’s very airy and bright and allows for plenty of inspiration and new ideas. They use a lot of natural materials and plants which I found very calming 🪴I also really appreciated how many magazines they had available to flip through! This cafe seems like a great place to sprout some new thoughts 💭 I absolutely LOVED the service we were greeted with. Our barista was so sweet and engaged in lots of conversation with us! She was so helpful answering all of our questions with a lot of enthusiasm. My girlfriend and I have stopped drinking coffee recently and so ordering matchas and chai teas have been our go-to drinks. We’re getting to know very well all the matchas and chais in LA and picking out favorites ☕️🍵 Morning Service definitely does it right with their teas, I really enjoyed my hot chai tea on such a cold morning and I am so thankful that I was able to taste a good amount of spice! Since it was cold, we should have ordered the matcha hot too but it was great iced anyway! There’s definitely a community that this cafe has become apart of and it always feels great to go someplace and feel like you’re apart of it. This cafe is great for bikers, walkers and runners alike and I would recommend it for anyone nearby! Notes: -It’s easier to park somewhere else and walk there! We parked illegally by accident, behind someone else’s warehouse. Since this cafe is behind the back of a lot of buildings, it would have been much easier to park and walk along the LA bike path to get there!

Delightful space and vibe by the river. Excellent iced vanilla latte and engaging service. What a unique treat this spot is for a peaceful respite or chat with a friend.

Pop up coffee shop by Be Bright co. at this location right next to the LA river. I had the honey ginger turmeric hot drink. Loved it! Good drink, and beautiful scenery! 👍🏻👍🏻
