Phoenix’s Best Dog-Friendly Restaurant Patios | Eater Phoenix

"Everybody loves breakfast — even dogs — so take them down to Morning Squeeze. Pet parents can sip bloody marys and fill up on salmon eggs Benedict with chipotle hollandaise, while their dogs munch off the Tail Wagger menu. The Chowhound bowl comes with scrambled eggs, diced chicken, and made-in-house doggie biscuits." - Jamie Phillis

Went with a group (8 total) of friends who had recommended this place for breakfast and WOWZA! Everyone at the table LOVED the food (and drinks) they ordered and we ALL have different tastes. Very accommodating, staff was amazing. It was soul-crushing that I could not finish everything. Would go back in a heartbeat! Try the ricotta gluten free pancakes…life changing.

Google
I love this place for breakfast or lunch! Mimosas are great! The eggs Benedict was just perfect. Sit on the patio if you like to people watch.

Google
Destiny is the best! She recommended the favorites, and everything was DELICIOUS! Best breakfast/brunch ever!

Phil Graczyk

Google
Chicken is old and way too much breading. The food had no flavor. The fries were decent. Also the alcoholic beverages have maybe 1/4th of a shot. To put it simply, I’ll never come back here.

Tracie Stanley

Google
The best in Sunny Scottsdale AZ. Huge portions of clean, amazing made in house items. Delicious 😋 5 star . Look around at the other diners plates to see how hard it is to choose. Dog friendly too!

Google
Busy, but laid back place with friendly professional staff. Food portions are large proportions and uniquely tasty. Accommodated our group of 14 with advance notice and despite being busy on a Sunday, we got seated within 15 minutes of arrival. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Google
An absolutely delightful experience! Crazy busy on a Saturday, but got seated quickly, service was amazing but the food and drinks were absolutely outstanding! Portions were HUGE!!!

Google
The lemon ricotta pancakes are SO good! Massive, and delicious. The lemon curd they put on top is perfect - sweet without being super sweet. They’re so fluffy - can hardly believe they’re gluten free. Andouille sausage was interesting- mix of savory and sweet. Excellent place. Everyone was super friendly, food and drinks came quick. Was in at 8am on a Sunday — no line, but obviously on the early side.

Yelp
If you're looking for a vibrant breakfast spot in downtown Phoenix, Morning Squeeze offers a fun vibe and a diverse menu. During our visit, we tried the Biscuits and Gravy, which had great flavors but leaned a bit dry (we recommend asking for extra gravy to balance it out). On the sweeter side, the Butter Cake French Toast was a decadent treat--it truly tasted like cake! Overall, Morning Squeeze is a great choice for breakfast or brunch lovers, especially if you want a mix of hearty and sweet dishes. Just don't shy away from customizing your order to get it just right!

Yelp
We came here one morning after a great workout and before heading on a day trip! I absolutely love their setup with a large wrap around bar that sits both inside and outside. Their outside seating looks right out onto the strip and has heaters. We sat looking out on old town under a heater. They have a great coffee menu but I had already had one. Our waiter was also the hostess so she was busy but did great for being busy. I had the chicken and waffles with a side of bacon. The side of bacon was perfectly crispy and you got three big thick pieces! The chicken and waffles was AMAZING. The chicken was a big portion and their breading was phenomenal. It had a peppered seasoning that paired well. I also love how this dish came with eggs and you did not have to order them as a side. The eggs came perfectly over medium. I'm glad because sometimes they're not and too runny. The waffle was also thick and crispy but fluffy. Not too crunchy or too soft. My husband had the avocado toast and a side of Canadian bacon. The Canadian bacon was a good size and he enjoyed. The avocado toast was also a great portion. He only wished there was less arugula! I would definitely come back!!

Yelp
Consistently great atmosphere and friendly guests at the bar, great location, friendly service and consistent food. Would recommend more attention to dropping silverware as soon as an order is placed. Almost every time I'm there I watch my food get cold while people wait to ask for silverware. I've learned to ask for mine before my food arrives to make sure I have it, but this would be a great fix.

Yelp
Alison was lovely and helpful. She was polite, attentive, and offered fabulous suggestions. The hangover bowl and avocado toast were delicious. The latte was perfection and stayed warm until the end of the meal. Did not disappoint!

Yelp
I had a lovely brunch here with my best friend last weekend. The service was great. Our waitress was attentive and patient with us as we sometimes are hard of hearing. The fresh juice and fresh coffee hit the spot. I had the avocado toast and added poached eggs, which were perfectly cooked. The portion size is very generous, and we took some home with us. The restaurant itself has a beautiful outdoor seating area as well as plentiful indoor seating.
google avatar

Tabitha S.

Yelp
OBSESSED with the food here and the easy going vibe. It's definitely family friendly but they have alcoholic beverages as well which are fab. The food is just unreal! My friends and I stuffed our faces and left happy with bellies full.
google avatar

Yelp
New to phoenix and since had a break I wanted a Bloody Mary with breakfast. Well BINGO. Fabulous Bloody Mary and fabulous avocado toast. Now mind you this is a usual for me but not all bloody Mary's and avocado toast are created equally! In the area you would be a fool not to brunch here! By the way nothing like an amazing waitress like Sheila!

Michael H.

Yelp
Order the Biscuits & Gravy on two separate occasions. Both times, the biscuits were hard and dry. It is almost like they are old and stale. Even the gravy didn't want to soak in. Never going there again.
google avatar

Dahee K.

Yelp
Fun brunch spot, service was good, the menu had a lot of options. The food was alright, I look forward to trying different items on the menu that would elevate my dining experience. I ordered the Lox bagel + French fries. They have freshly squeezed orange juice which was a plus.
google avatar

Monica P.

Yelp
Great good! Good portions! Everything smelled so good as it came out. They were able to accommodate a large party. 45 minute wait. I wish they had a call ahead waitlist. But they do not. Lots of small outdoor tables 2 and 4 tops. Great for people watching. A car inside with tables all around. A few big bights and several 4 top booths. Lots of seating! Parking on the street. Lots of mimosa options. I would go back for sure.
google avatar

Valentina L.

Yelp
Alli and Terrance were soooo sweet I love them and I will going back for them like alli put up with us for like 4 hours but you guys should replace your limes and olives they looked spoiled!!!!!!!!!
google avatar

Bryce C.

Yelp
The food is AMAZING! Best meat lovers omelet I've had in quite some time. FULL of flavor. They clearly don't use low quality meats. Which unfortunately is the norm. I also had the butter cake French toast. It was divine! And my server Allie was phenomenal. Service is so lacking nowadays in most places and she definitely made the experience at this restaurant that much better!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was so delicious. When it finally came. We came on a Saturday morning so of course it was packed so we had to sit outside which was a beautiful view and we had a heater. But they did take a long time to get our food. They also ended up forgetting about us when we were out there by ourselves and the heater was turned off. I'd definitely go back but when it's less crowded.
google avatar

Julie C.

Yelp
This was such a great addition to our weekend visit. We popped in as they don't take reservations to my understanding. The staff was so sweet and we were able to grab a table out in front right away. They were even nice enough to turn off the heater as the day got warmer. The food was delicious and there were a ton of gluten free options. The breakfast cocktails were amazing also. I had an espresso martini and loved it.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
They are dog friendly and we had our pup with us, so we chose for seating out on the patio. Service was quick, and they were super friendly. Not a huge selection for the menu but there is variety. I got the Cobb salad which was enough for two people. My son got the meat lovers omelette and fries, he loved his omelette. We will be back again!
google avatar

Jaz R.

Yelp
the OVERNIGHT OATS!!! Do NOT come here without ordering - BEST oatmeal I've ever had in my life. He got the GC steak & eggs and i got the corned beef hash breakfast, both absolutely delicious ! The other plate we ordered is the stuffed French toast, wasn't gross but also not great at all, you can pass on that. Mediocre. Got the fresh squeezed strawberry OJ- YESSS! The servers are so cool and attentive. We walked here from our hotel so not sure how parking is. Great location in the heart of old town. The ambiance is super cute retro and bright. 10/10 for me!!
google avatar

Sol C.

Yelp
Fun vibe, friendly service, kid friendly. Portions absolutely ginormous - they told us the omelettes are made with six eggs! I loved the smoked salmon Benedict, my kids devoured the beautifully layered yogurt parfait, and my husband's hangover bowl was great with the pulled brisket. Good coffee, too.
google avatar

Yelp
Favorite brunch spot. Got us seated relatively quick. Kory our server was awesome. Great vibe to have mimosas w friends.

Yelp
I came here for a late breakfast on a Saturday with a friend while visiting Scottsdale. It was such an adorable little spot! I got the lox and bagel which was delicious! My friend got the oats which I tasted which were absolutely amazing. I would definitely get those next time I come here. I also got a chai tea latte which was good too. I wish I had ordered something more adventurous but I was happy with my healthy brunch after our Camelback hike. Service was quick and friendly!
google avatar

Aubrey U.

Yelp
The service was great from the minute we walked in the door. Very cheerful and welcoming! We were sat immediately(no wait) in a cozy large booth inside. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. We ordered the fruit/pastry platter, the eggs your way, and the stuffed French toast. All of the food was delicious! Our favorites had to be the freshly made cinnamon rolls and the delicious jam that came with the eggs dish for our bread. I wish we had this diner in my city! We'd be here all the time.
google avatar

Marisa R.

Yelp
The food was good I got the barbacoa Benedict. The only thing I didn't like was the hashbrowns were kinda of soggy which I saw in other reviews as well but decided to try it anyways. The service was great. Luckily I went when it was t busy I saw other reviews say it takes a long time to get your food and what not but that was t the case for us. I think it really just depends on what time of day and time of the year you go. I went in August when there wasn't a lot of tourists around.

Yelp
We have visited this location many times and enjoy eating there, especially with their lighter meals. I always start up my meal with the fresh squeezed orange juice. It was not that today. It was so watered down. It was ridiculous. I should've complained and gave it to her immediately. I did drink about half of it and then commented to her that it wasn't the way it's been when I've been in there many many times, she went on to explain that they were having problems with the machine and it was probably watered down. She never offered to give me a free orange juice or take it off the bill it was ridiculous Especially when we're a good customer.
google avatar

Alexandria P.

Yelp
Food was really good. Ambiance was fun. Service was kind of lacking but it was a Saturday morning so they were busy and this was my first time in so I don't know if this is a regular thing for them or an off day. Would go back.

Yelp
We sat outside for breakfast, at the bar, in January! The space heaters perfectly balanced the temp w the fresh air. Our server was amazing-it's like she knew what add-ons I wanted based on what I was ordering so very smart and I appreciated it! Avocado toast (w/ egg on top? YES!). Hot chai (double shot? YES!). The staff had such a great vibe. It's relaxed, clean and delish! My first time in Arizona was magical and this experience was a contributing factor.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
Service was friendly and efficient as we walked in and during our meal. The outside patio was fun to hang out and listen to good music. I was disappointed in my bangin af burger, the burger was over cooked and there was hardly any sauce and it was bland however the potatoes were bangin. No the Green chili pork skillet was so delicious and flavorful so definitely stick with that!! Drinks were good and our waitress was sweet.
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
We sat at the bar, my friend knew the bartender, who was attentive and pleasant. I mean, sort of a bias interaction I suppose but I think she would have been just the same had I been on my own. I got the veggie omelet, I missed that there was goat cheese in there. It was like my mouth unwrapped the best gift ever! The rye bread was thicker than other joints, for me, that made it more enjoyable. My butter was the perfect temp to spread mmm, and the jam? Yum! Crispy breakfast potatoes are also always welcome. No picture, I ate it. All of it.

Yelp
After a hell of a night out, I was looking for breakfast restaurants around the area where I could get a hefty, comforting meal. I specifically wanted a chilaquiles, which is my go-to. Candidly, I would've tried another local breakfast spot, but they didn't have what I really wanted. I mean, why settle for less? I saw Morning Squeeze's menu online and immediately zeroed in on the chilaquiles. It had everything I was looking for... chorizo, eggs, Rojo sauce. Done deal. I arrived at Morning Squeeze around 7AM on a Wednesday morning. Such a cute spot, and a popular one at that! There were several guests sporadically around the restaurant, but there had to be at least 20 people already, and the place had just opened. I loved the vibrant colors and orange motif they had going on. Alright, so I didn't get my chilaquiles. Apparently, they ran out of the ingredients to make the dish, so I got the carne asada benedict since I was still feeling Mexican flavors. The best thing on the dish was honestly the rosemary potatoes, which were nicely seasoned and crispy on the edges. The benedict was simply not good. The chipotle hollandaise was bland. The carne asada has the texture of burger meat rather than steak. The poached eggs weren't created equally. One was cooked all the way through, while the other had a picture perfect runny yolk. Customer service was great though. Super friendly staff, and food came out fast.

Yelp
Will be back!! Service was quick, the food was amazing, and we didn't have to wait in long lines. The inside of this restaurant had Arizona vibes where there was cool & colorful artwork everywhere. They had plenty of food options on the menu & it all looked delicious!!
google avatar

Jonathan L.

Yelp
Came in on a Saturday morning. No wait at all. Waitress was helpful and had good recommendations. I went for the dill pickle Bloody Mary while my friend got the bacon one. I liked hers more. The brunch punch was like an orange creamsicle slush. I ordered Chilaquiles and I prefer hash kitchen's, but it was good. The chips were fresh, and the green on it was refreshing with the heavier chorizo and oils. Food came out quick and nothing was bad at all. Pleasant spot, but I wouldn't take it over Hash Kitchen's food.
google avatar

Asal N.

Yelp
Fantastic! Loved the coffee and overnight oats! Music is a little too loud. The service was great even the place was super packed.
google avatar

Rebecca C.

Yelp
INCREDIBLE, CREATIVE menu options. It was so hard to pick just 2 menu items! If you're trying to find a BRUNCH spot in Scottsdale, look no further. The spring menu's French toast with orange creamsicle was so DELICIOUS, FILLING, FLUFFY, sweet yet also savory, and came with an actual creamsicle! The chilaquiles were some of the best we've had in Arizona! The chips maintained their crispness, and the chorizo, crema, veggies, and avacado, blended together amazingly. Really large portion size as well. The menu is a bit confusing in regards to ordering sides, so definitely pay attention to that. I thought my entree came with a side but it didn't! However the prices for everything were so reasonable, that my meal with a side was still less than other Scottsdale brunch places. For drinks, we went non-alcoholic and tried the OJ and a strawberry banana shake - both we could tell were freshly made! Even though it seems really busy, service is pretty good. We were seated in almost no time (even though it looked like there could be a wait). Go earlier rather than later for weekend brunch!! We were able to be served rather quickly, and paid and left in a decent amount of time. Outdoor and indoor seating!

Yelp
It was PACKED and I highly recommend reservations. I can't imagine what it's like on a weekend, because we came on a Wednesday and I'm shocked at how crowded it was. That being said, while the kitchen was a bit slow and backed up, the food was still pretty decent and the drinks were great. Six of us had breakfast before a ride to the airport, and despite all of us getting our food at different times, and our server being a tad bit aloof, we did end up getting everything we wanted and it was fairly reasonably priced. We are a share share that's fair team, so I was able to try some pancakes (that didn't taste like anything), bacon (very crispy), green chile pork, and chicken and waffles. They were all pretty standard, but overall good. The drinks are fun - you can get a double, and I got a bloody mary with spicy stuff - highly recommend. It was like Jamaican jerk bacon - I'm not sure how to describe it but I want to know how to make it at home. It was a good place to have a farewell breakfast, and I'm glad we went.

Jean-Charles N.

Yelp
Amazing chain looking a lot like Snooze in San Diego CA We had the Carne Asada eggs Benedict and Chilaquiles. Both were amazingly tasty

Wendy G.

Yelp
Busy spot but great food!! Fresh squeezed OJ and pastries right in the middle of Old Town.
google avatar

Megha D.

Yelp
We came for brunch on a Saturday morning and I loved that we barely had any wait! There was plenty of parking too on the street. I had chilaquiles for breakfast along with the Huck Yeah drink. Service was a bit slow, especially for a not peak time. The food was good, although I wish the portions were a little bigger. My drink was also delicious and I loved the jam! Overall Morning Squeeze was a decent spot and had a versatile menu.

John T.

Yelp
Went for breakfast a week ago. Service was non existent. Steak and eggs were disappointing - steak was much smaller than just a month ago. Noise level was unbearable. Everything was disappointing.
google avatar

Layne D.

Yelp
Morning squeeze has a pretty decent menu that includes breakfast essentials. If you're hungry and just need to fuel up it will get the job done, I'm just not sure that anything really stood out to us. The lox bagel was just okay. It was pretty basic and I wasn't a big fan of the texture of the bagel. Something seemed off but maybe it was just a bad batch. Bacon wasn't underdone which was good but it was also just okay. Not bad but I don't know that I would be craving it again. Breakfast potatoes were well seasoned. The scrambled eggs were good. We tried a mocha and although a bit too sweet it was better than expected.
google avatar

Emily P.

Yelp
I've always gone to the morning squeeze in Tempe, and the Scottsdale location is not much different. Great service at the bar, they didn't have blue cheese dressing so she recommended getting the ranch with blue cheese crumbles which worked well enough. As always, parking in old town Scottsdale is rough, so be prepared to do a few laps.

C M.

Yelp
Since moving here I have been trying to find a new brunch place, and this is it! I've seen lots of great reviews about their fresh squeezed orange juice and the awesome patio, so I decided to give it a try! I tried the orange juice along with their Squeeze Tacos, yum! The service was great and I can see why people come back. The menu included the option for hashbrowns or fruit for almost everything, which was nice! Their hashbrowns are not super burnt as I know some people prefer, but that was okay for me. Lots of cocktails to pick from for a good time! Overall, this was a great experience and I'd definitely recommend this to anyone in town searching for a nice breakfast spot!

Yelp
Stopped in with my work team for breakfast before our flight on a Wednesday. It was packed! The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing but felt a little crammed. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very busy so she took our order and was gone quickly. It was very impersonal. Sadly, one dish was delayed, the simplest dish of all. We almost got through our meal before my colleagues dish was brought out! Major pet peeve! The good thing was the waitress was willing to subtract it from our bill which was a nice. I ordered the Mile High, which was just an omelette, and a pancake. The omelette was good, nothing really stood out about the dish. The pancake didn't taste great, it was a bit on the salty side. Everyone else enjoyed their meal, there were no additional complaints.
google avatar

Jimmy K.

Yelp
Was rocking on a Saturday morning. Good place to grab some early morning alcohol. Waitress was nice, a little slow to come around, but plenty of people working to keep things straight. As for the food, I ordered the steak and eggs with a side of biscuits and gravy. It's a steak at a breakfast place, they cooked it right, just a little bland but for a breakfast place it was ok. Potatoes didn't have much flavor, and not quite it was cooked all the way. Biscuits and Gravy was inedible. Biscuits were hard and the gravy was not very tasty. But the coffee was delicious! Worth giving another shot and maybe going with something else.

Greg G.

Yelp
The breakfast food and service is fine, but the hyped dance club vibe and LOUD music are completely unnecessary
google avatar

Kirsi D.

Yelp
We sat outside which was awesome. I had the veggie omelet which comes with goat cheese. The omelet was very thick and fluffy. And the cheese was delicious. Service was a bit slow but it was friendly.
google avatar

Aaron W.

Yelp
I love their eggs Benedict and hot vanilla latte. Service could be a little better in terms of speed. When being attended to, though, they are present and helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
Had plans to dine at another spot in the area, but the wait was more than we wanted. On our way to the highway, we spotted this place. They have outside seating and at the time, they had open tables. We turned around and decided to give them a try. They offer cocktails, smoothies, soft drinks and hot drinks. I had a strawberry mimosa. Tried the Steak and Eggs along with the Meat Lovers omelet. The potatoes were cooked just right; soft and seasoned well. Wasn't a fan of the blistered tomatoes that accompanied the Steak and Eggs. The steak was okay. It had more fat and gristle than I would have liked, but it didn't lack on being well seasoned. Enjoyed sitting outside at one do the high top tables. The view was nice, weather was perfect. It put me in the mind of being in close proximity to a beach. The colors are bright, fresh and welcoming. One thing I struggled with was my seat at the high top. I'm not sure if they are BBJ (Big Booty Judy) friendly. Ha! I ate halfway standing up during my meal because I felt like I kept sliding out my seat. I could never get comfortable. Because we were on a schedule, I didn't put up a fuss. Overall, nice gem in the area and suggest giving them a try.

Yelp
Made a reservation for 9 am and arrived right on time. We were quickly seated and water delivered promptly Place is wide open to outside and it was a beautiful day It was pretty crowded and had a nice vibe to it with a huge bar and plenty of half moon booths We ordered the cali Benny and the green chili pork skillet Benny was tasty but a little cold for my wife. She likes her food hot, really hot. My skillet was great, eggs over easy and plenty Of cheese. It came with a hatch chili corn bread and smoked agave butter that blew my socks off. Drinks were really good too. I had the You're bacon me crazy and my wife had the Big Dill and both were awesome. Really enjoyed the whole experience and would recommend!

Yelp
Everything we tried at Morning Squeeze was delicious! We had the seasonal carrot cake french toast, chilaquiles, hot coffee, and pineapple juice. The carrot cake french toast was super sweet but just like carrot cake in french toast form. The carrot shreds, candied nuts, and cream cheese filling made for generous toppings/fillings in this flavorful dish. The chilaquiles were more like breakfast nachos, as the chips weren't soaked in any sauce, but it was a delicious entree and great for sharing. The pineapple juice was surprisingly delicious, as some pineapple juices are thin or flavorless. This one was rich and tasty, though the pineapple juice did confuse us by looking like freshly squeezed orange juice. The wait was a bit long but expected for a Sunday late morning in Old Town Scottsdale. In the meantime, it was nice to walk around the area. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was cute and peppy. The place also seems to have some great natural light, though we sat outside on the patio. The patio does seem to be dog friendly, as we saw multiple friendly dogs spending time under their tables. I will say that parking might be difficult in that popular area, but we walked over and didn't face any struggles there.

Yelp
Celebrating one of my sister's birthday today. She is 16. Omgerd time flies! Morning Squeeze is a good breakfast place to go to and the servings are big! (Not all photos were shown in our party, since we had two seperate booths) And the best part. I keep watching the kitchen since we sat in front of it. I saw the expeditor and chefs and waiters/waitresses. The expeditor is the one that reads the order and tells the chefs which order is supposed to go next and get it cookin. I kinda miss working in the kitchen as I did culinary arts back in the day but the dedication and hunger that these chefs show is far beyond than what I could have done :) good job ya'll! Thank you for some good food!

Yelp
This place has been on our radar for a while now but certain circumstances have prevented us from trying the closer Tempe location so we decided to give the Scottsdale location a shot. We're glad we did. The bestie and I pulled up at around 9:45ish thinking since it's a popular brunch place in old town Scottsdale, you'd think it'd always be busy and there'd be a wait. However, we were pleasantly surprised when there was no wait at all. We were seated immediately and outside at a quaint spot where we got a great view of the happenings on the street outside the place. I'd also like to note that right as we sat down, a crowd had started to accumulate outside so we're glad we arrived when we did! Our waiter was phenomenally friendly and everything went smoothly. I ordered the overnight oats and the bestie ordered the breakfast tacos. She said hers was everything she wanted in a meal and my oats were perfect. The perfect consistency, perfect flavor, and perfect toppings. The fruit was just the right amount of ripe and they certainly didn't skimp on any serving sizes in this dish! The agave gave the oats a tasty, sweet flavor. Compared to other brunch places we've tried, the wait for the food was a little longer but the food was impeccable so it was worth it! 10/10 will be returning for more.
