The robin egg blue built-in bookcase easily inspires thoughts of renovating a 19th-century farmhouse and stocking it with vegetables you grew and canned yourself. There are breakfast options like a rich lemongrass pork egg sandwich and pillowy donuts, along with lunchtime bowls of curry and soup that are exactly what you’ll want when your hiking plans get rained out. There aren’t a ton of tables, so get here early if you plan to stop by on a Saturday morning, when there are more crowds hoping to snag a pre-farmers market treat. Food Rundown Morningbird Egg Sandwich After having approximately two bites of this breakfast sandwich, we sat in complete silence for a few seconds, then said, "that is amazing" four times in a row. Lee Vegetable Green Curry This coconutty green curry has a warm and comforting vegetable-filled broth. And it’s fun to dig around the bowl with your spoon like a gold rush miner, finding gems of sweet potatoes and tivoli mushrooms that are more stunning than a handful of precious metals. It’s very good, but we found ourselves wistfully comparing it to the breakfast sandwich like an ex that we remember a little too fondly.
