Morningstar Buoy Haus Beach Resort at Frenchman's Reef, Autograph Collection

Outstanding! I was a bit hesitant to come here as I had seen some negative reviews but I just don’t understand those reviews now that I have stayed here.||The location on the beach is incredible. We had an oceanfront room and you could hear the ocean even with the doors closed. You can see the ocean while lying in bed when you wake up in the morning. Outside on the balcony is a brand new couch and two chairs. Even the non oceanfront rooms are extremely nice. Since the entire hotel was rebuilt everything is new and the rooms are decorated and finished so nicely.||We never had an issue finding a beach chair or a spot by the pool. There is an area dedicated just for Buoy Haus guests and guests from the Westin can come over to use the main beach area. Again, not a problem.||The restaurants were all fantastic.||The check in and check out process was warm, friendly and quick. There was always someone to help with baggage or getting us a taxi.||We have not stayed in a hotel like this, for this price point, on the ocean. Much better to come here than places like Miami. Will certainly be back.

This resort was at the top of my list. Everything about it was perfect. The restaurants were so delicious. The closeness of the water to the rooms made it so easy to just step outside the room and be on the beach. I loved the theme of the resort. The black and white colors and the boutique feel of the smaller size. I’m already planning my return trip!

The rooms, location and ambiance were amazing! I go on vacation to relax and not get up at the crack of dawn to scramble for chairs by the beach/pool. I didn’t have to do that here (thankfully)… The resort is new and has a modern vibe. The views from the lobby were breathtaking. I thought that the staff and service were excellent, as well. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. There was daily maid/turn down service. We even got a special dessert/note in our room, as we were celebrating my daughter’s graduation (thanks Karima!) My one knock on this resort would be the food, or lack thereof. They were frequently out of items…that was a common occurrence. One night we waited in the lobby restaurant for almost forty five minutes to be served, just to be told they were out of our order. If that issue were fixed, definitely would rate 5/5.

MY Stay here was absolutely exceptional. Chefs kiss! Loved every single day at Buoy Haus. The privae beach is beautiful, the food is all glorious at ever restaraunt, the pool is beautiful. Me and my lady even snuck in the pool after hours around 1am and no one bothered us. shhhh!! |This is the kicker.... I wanted to do a fishing excursion then come back and have my catch cooked for me on the beach. I knew this would knock my ladies socks off. Knema Willett was adament about making it all happen for me even though i tried to put this together only one day before my trip. She stayed on top of everything even with me not having a signal on the plane and even with her being off the day I arrived she was very adament about getting in touch with me in multiple ways (phone, email and calling my room phone) and coordinating everything betwwen the captain of the boat and the head chef at Luna Mar which prepared my catch and sides for me and my lady. She gave suggestions to all of the best restaraunts and the local beach and scene for us to party with the locals. Ms. Willett was my go to but the entire staff was friendly and helped with everything I needed. Even the occasional watch out for this or that when giving suggestions, showing they cared for our safety and well being. This was one of my best trips ever. Thank you Knema for going the extra mile for me. As men they want us to do all the plannig and yu my dear made my experience so easy. Thank you thank you thank you so much

The stay was phenomenal! Karimah was extremely professional, did an amazing job from start to finish and truly ensured that that our stay was one to remember. She provided great customer service, recommendations on where to go and what to do and shared everything that the hotel has to offer. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the rooms are large and the sound is so peaceful. We definitely will be back again!

Love love love this property! Had a wonderful start to our honeymoon here. Staff was wonderful and the beach was so nice. We had a great room with an ocean view. Would definitely stay here again! You can access all of the amenities at the Westin which is wonderful.

The location is amazing. The beach is beautiful and the activities provided at the beach are extremely convenient. Unfortunately, our room had many broken items that weren't addressed. Also, the staff closed my tab at the poolside restaurant on two occasions and tipped themselves without my permission. Service in general isn't great. They have a very laid back approach, so don't expect drinks or food to arrive in a timely fashion. There were a couple of days where we couldn't even get a beach towel. The food is expensive and not worth the price- same for The Westin. But if you stay here, you won't have many options to eat unless you want to take a taxi or rent a car.

My husband and I stayed here a week before Christmas and absolutely loved it. We can't wait to return. This is not a "happening" place...it is a place to relax and unwind in a magnificent, quiet setting. We ventured over to the Marriott property next door for dinner one night and we were so happy we had opted for the more quiet Buoy House. The staff is super welcoming and friendly, and our suite was amazing... it even had a Christmas tree! All the furnishings were new and lovely. Staff did tell us that they were low on kitchen/wait staff, so the wait for service/food was indeed long, but the food was very good. The blender wasn't working so we could not order the drinks we preferred which was also disappointing.They welcome you with rum punch and they have towel service at the pool, although he told us he would come back with towels after covering our chairs but never did (too bad because i had a generous tip or for him). The gym is excellent and the property is very clean and beautiful. Finding enough good staff seems to be the main challenge here, but that said, we'll be back for more peace and tranquility.
