After two weeks at hunt camp in Missouri, we decided to treat ourselves to Morrie’s Steakhouse in Sioux Falls on our way back to Washington state,—and it was an experience to remember. Despite our less-than-polished attire (sweatpants and hoodies, straight from camp life, but hey at least we were clean and smelled nice 🤷🏼♀️), we were welcomed into this elegant steakhouse. Admittedly, the hostess gave us a bit of a glance—understandable given the upscale atmosphere—but once seated, we felt completely at ease thanks to our phenomenal server, Erin.
Erin truly made our evening. She was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, answering all our questions with patience and providing spot-on recommendations. Her genuine kindness and top-tier service erased any worries we had about not “fitting in.”
And the food? Simply incredible. The steaks were cooked to perfection—exactly as ordered—and the French onion soup exceeded even the glowing reviews we’d read online. Every bite was a testament to the restaurant’s reputation for excellence.
Morrie’s is now a tradition for us whenever we pass through Sioux Falls. We might consider packing something a little more polished next time, but honestly, there’s something charming about showing up in sweats and hoodies after camp—it adds to the story. Either way, we’re looking forward to our next visit to enjoy this first-class dining experience again!
