Be careful! Step away from this place! They are closing and they mix some cheap stuff still sell it higher price than the market. and also sell not even can wear without others help necklace. My husband bought it for gift and turned out it has issues. They refuse to return or exchange or even fix it. The owner said they are closing. They don’t do any repairs! So anyone who buy here be aware! The products is not warranted. And you might think that you are supporting a local business and you also got a good deal. But turn out they are closing the store for few months and always seems like have a lot of products. Do not be fooled by this place!!! Buying at this place is a joke.

they're super professional, friendly and very efficient! had my old watch chain replaced and got done in 5 mins. several customers stopped by when I was waiting for my watch and seems everyone was well serviced like me.

My family has shopped at Morrison's for decades. My parents, husband and I have purchased so many beautiful gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations for each other and our children. I can't say enough about the warm and welcoming customer service - it's over the top. Morrison's has a happy atmosphere; it's fun to browse and shop there. As professionals, Christine and Dave have also helped me with necessary repairs, sizing, cleanings, and customized jewelry designs. I trust them and take their advice seriously.

Dave and Christine are extremely personable and very helpful and knowledgeable. I’ve used them for jewelry repairs for 25+ years and Dave also added a diamond to my eternity ring when my finger size changed. My brother has bought different jewelry pieces for his wife for special occasions and they are helpful by phone and also mailing items as necessary. Highest recommendation.

My husband bought my wedding ring and two ruby rings at Morrison’s Jewelers. After 47 years, they are absolutely stunning I have also had my necklace made from my mother’s diamonds and wear it always . I completely trust them with my jewelry.

Morrison's is the absolute best. I love the owners as they really care about their customers and take the time to listen. They helped me and my husband find the most perfect necklace to celebrate our anniversary and a big birthday, and I am stopped everytime I wear it because it's a stunner. They share their knowledge and expertise without being pushy, and they really take the time to explain the benefits. I take all my jewelry there for repair even if I didn't get it there because I know I will get the best results. Also, they are so incredibly community minded and supportive, and I think that's really important to note. It's so wonderful to have found a jeweler I can rely on and go to for all these reasons. I brought in my grandmothers diamond ring and asked them to redesign it into two new pieces .. a bezel and pave. Both were perfect and I now wear them all of the time! I have had other jewelry repaired and pearls restrung as well here. They are very helpful, reliable, knowledgeable and nice people.

Shady proprietors. Avoid. After deciding on a specific pearl necklace, I returned to buy it the following weekend and when I got to the store, it was already gift wrapped. I was instantly suspicious and for good reason. I should have unwrapped it right then. When my mom opened her gift at home, it smelled of SHELLFISH. Previously in the store, it did not have an odor. Morrison's did not answer the phone and never returned any of my messages (they were very responsive before I made the purchase). Had I not paid cash and if I did not live so far away, I would have gone back in person (even though I would expect a hard pushback from the staff). I do not recommend this place. 2 stars because I'm partly to blame for being so trusting and naive.

This is the absolute best jeweler in the Bay area. They can re-work any jewelry piece to your standard and the quality of their jewelry is superb. Highly recommend.

Yes my husband is cheesy but he is also old school and believes in jewelery on anniveraries. Thank goodness for that. He is a Romantic!! For our recent anniversary, he took me here to pick out a ring. What a gem this man. The folks who worked here were very nice and attentive without suffocating us. We found a lovely ring that fits nicely with my wedding band. They have a nice range of jewelery but nothing low-end. Pretty high price-point so be prepared. The woman next to us was getting a watch repaired so I guess they also do repair work. My husband said he called in advance to ask about the types of rings he knows I like to make sure they carry them. They even sized the ring onsite and were able to make a quick adjustment. I wear it every day now. Old school customer service is warmly welcome these days!!

Where to begin!!! Morrison's is the best jeweler in the bay area by far. They do a great job at custom jewelry and are very patient with you in the process. Chris is so sweet and is very helpful finding pieces. I have a lot of earrings from there and a custom necklace that i love. My whole family has been going there for years. Wether it's for repairs, jewelry cleaning or custom designed pieces. I have a pair of gorgeous diamond earrings from here that are one of the top quality diamonds you can get. They are so beautiful and they sparkle in the light like crazy, i always get so many compliments. This business is also family owned which i love because i try to support small businesses as much as i can. Morrison's is seriosuly a hidden gem in Orinda!!

Do not take your jewelry here. They messed up my new engagement ring. My experience: 1 - Christine (one of the owners) sized my finger as a 5 but didn't ask me at all how I felt about the sizing. The ring came back way too small and hurts to take off now! Will need to get it resized again. 2 - When I picked it up, there were 2 small diamonds MISSING! See picture. They were cordial and offered to replace them for free. 3 - Picked my ring up again and unfortunately found another issue. 1 of the small stones they replaced had been poorly soldered and looks significantly worse from the other small stones and is unsightly to me. 4 - When I alerted them of 3 they did not seem to care whatsoever and could not articulate why the small stone was set so poorly. Looking at the owners responses to other 1 star reviews, I'm anticipating retaliation to this post. Throughout this process I tried to thwart my frustration and be as cordial with the staff as possible.

They took care of my Apple watch band. Needed links pulled out. I had them remove too many. I went back 2 days later and they added one back. No extra charge. Now they're helping me reset my mother's diamond. I've been a fan of Morrison's since my days at Cal.

I filled out the form on their website describing my project, and the page gave me a number that would be used to text me back. Nobody followed up, so I called them, and the fellow who answered wanted to about the work I wanted to have done. I told him I took the time to describe it in detail on their site, and he said "Well, my wife takes care of that, so I will let her know we have an internet request." I said don't bother.

I brought my watch in to get the battery replaced. It seemed to take forever. He brought the watch into a back room to change it. They charged me $35.00. Less than a year later the battery died again. I decided to take it to a tiny, small run down "mom and pop" jewelry store in Tara Hills and the guy changed the battery right there in front of me. He said the battery the previous jeweler used was very cheap and tends to leak battery fluid when left in too long. He charged me $8.00. Wow. I paid $35.00 in bougie-ass Orinda and $8.00 for faster, better service at the Vietnamese shop. I feel ripped off. Bougier isn't always better. The bougie places might be gouging you.

We got our wedding rings here and it was a simple and pleasant experience. My husband was getting his fathers ring, resized and polished, and I was getting a simple band for myself. I hey far more pleasant experience than our earlier jewelry shopping for our engagement rings. Definitely glad we switched and tried them. Will be going back. If I ever do any custom designs, I would 100% do that here.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Morrison's Jewelers in Orinda. I needed to have a family heirloom, a Jaeger LeCoultre watch, to be engraved to give as a gift. I did not have a lot of time and finding someone to hand engrave anymore is almost impossible and usually means shipping the item to the East Coast. I called Morrison's who immediately said they could help. I brought in the watch along with the written inscription in a particular type that I wanted to use. Morrison's was actually able to match the same type and amazingly they had the watch ready the next day. The professionalism and quality of work is unparalleled. I absolutely recommend Morrison's for any jewelry needs and especially when you need an engraving.

Had a wonderful experience today at Morrison's. I found a beautiful sapphire and diamond ring. The customer service was top notch. BTW, my husband and I bought our wedding rings 44 years ago at the Morrison's in Berkeley.

I was very nervous coming here for the first time to get an engagement ring for my girlfriend (now fiancé!!) and Betsy and the rest of the team were fantastic in talking me through getting my grandmother's diamond reset - helping me figure out what steps I needed to take, how to find an appraiser nearby, and helping me through the process of picking the new ring. They were able to get me the ring in around 2 weeks - right in time for our trip to Sedona where my girlfriend said yes! She absolutely loves the ring.

Morrison's is great. They have handled several custom jobs for me as well as trade-ins and purchase. Everyone who works there is very friendly and takes time with each customer. I have never felt rushed or pressured when shopping there. The latest thing they handled for me was redesigning annd building my wedding rings- Denise took the time to work with me on design and sent many option drawings to me- My new ring is beautifully designed and made. I am really happy.

Apologies in advance for this lengthy review, but I felt compelled to share. I had such a great experience with Morrison's - and actually, it was more of a journey! Denise and others there, came alongside me, and helped me create an awesome gift for my wife! It was the year of our 25th wedding anniversary. Over the years, my wife had been wearing her wedding ring less and less - 1) she was unable to wear the ring with the gloves required at her work, and 2) she had grown to prefer a different style. She talked about having her ring redesigned "some day". I came into the store thinking I would surprise my wife for Christmas. I met with Denise, and after 10 minutes with her, I quickly realized that I really didn't know what my wife would want. Denise sensed my disappointment and suggested that I just modify my gift: Instead of a new ring, give her the the opportunity to meet with Denise and redesign the ring as she desires. Well, that was the ticket! My wife loved the surprise on Christmas morning, and the outcome with Denise was incredible. Denise guided my wife through the process of determining what she really wanted in a new ring. Denise was attentive, confident, a great listener and an outstanding advisor through out. There were a few in-store meetings, text messages to provide updates and design mock ups. Everything was going great, and a new design had settled on. Unexpectedly, my wife started to have misgivings, now that this was going to be a reality - She became a little emotional about the idea of her original wedding ring being only a memory. Once again, Denise stepped up: In addition to us reusing the stones from the original ring in the new redesign, she offered to see if they could melt down the original ring and create a new band, that my wife could wear, when she has to wear gloves at work. What a terrific solution. Denise met us where we were, learned my wife's preferences and hopes, worked within our budget and kept her focus on us through-out. We ended up with more than we could have anticipated.

Forty-two years ago (when Morrison's was on Shattuck in Berkeley)I brought in a few modest pieces I had inherited from my grandmother, for repair. A few years later came the add-a-pearl gifts for a niece. These were all small purchases. Morrison's was unfailing gracious. Fast forward to eight years ago and the Orinda location and I'm back asking for pieces I inherited from my mother to be redesigned and re-set. The designs were beautiful and gave the stones a second life. Next, Morrison's worked with my adult son to design a beautiful engagement ring for his fiancé, all while he was out to sea. In more recent years I've been shopping there for myself, with Morrison's sourcing. I couldn't be happier with their process, advice and ultimately my purchases. Thank you, Morrison's for forty-two wonderful years!

I love Morrison's! I just recently had them re-imagine a diamond solitaire bracelet into a necklace and I'm thrilled! Before that they restrung a turquoise necklace adding a new clasp for a gift. They have done this a few times for me-updating pieces so they are current and secure. They have been repairing and recreating my jewelry and watches for over 30 years now and they are always friendly, professional and realistic. I'm so grateful they are here in Orinda.

This jeweler is fantastic. When you walk in the door, you are given very pleasant personal service by attentive and knowledgeable staff. I just stopped in to have some adjustments and repairs done to the watch band of my Omega. The tension of the clasp was adjusted and the band was resized by removing a link. The staff goldsmith did both quickly and with care. This was done free of charge. Old fashioned service in the best sense. This is the kind of place you go for jewelry and service when quality and attention are important. You really feel like a VIP here. Thank you for the great experiences!

I love this jewelry store! My husband bought my wedding ring from Morrison's when it was located in Berkeley 26 years ago. They have carried the legacy of Great customer service to Orinda. We have continued our relationship to buy and repair our jewelry. The staff answers our questions and help us with designs. Morrison's has a wonderful inventory of beautiful jewelry. They are prompt with communicating and make every effort to get you whatever it is you want at a reasonable price.

DO NOT GO HERE! Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. It seems that if you don't look like you don't have money they will not give you the time a day and treat you horribly. The woman Kris who is the owners wife always has an attitude right when you walk in. I was looking at engagement rings had an appointment with them they couldn't even get out samples or do the magnetic thing that they usually do when someone is looking for engagement rings. it's supposed to be a happy experience they couldn't even do that much. I had them size a ring down, they had a week to do it and when I came in it looked like it was only cleaned and nothing else was done. When I asked for the piece they cut out, he said it was so small they didn't have it (meaning they really didn't do anything). Then when I had them take a diamond out of a ring that I previously owned they completely cut the gold around it and when I went in to get it he threw it on the table like it was nothing just because I was asking if they could continue to resize the ring sooner since they already had it for a week. Kris and her husband do not know customer service and treat people like crap unless they know you have money. Kris even said when I was leaving we work with people with millions of dollars all the time and they've never had a problem. That's how they treat customers. LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING! DO NOT GO HERE! You can say I am a rude customer and lie through your teeth, but the fact is you couldn't even provide any examples of anything that I did and are sitting here trying to bad mouth my name cause you don't know how to provide good customer service. Your wife kris is one of the worst people anyone has ever had to work with and I have heard this from numerous Orinda customers. She got upset last week when I politely said I would prefer to wait for you who I was in discussion with the whole time and had an appointment with. That is so childish and unprofessional to get upset over that, 98 years and now you have your wife creating a toxic work environment. Nice job! Maybe nepotism is just not a good look on you.

It's funny. I go to the reviews and try to read the bad ones first so I can see how true they are. I was actually motivated by the reviewer who said they treat you poorly when you look like you don't have the money to shop there because I'm definitely a person who looks like I can't afford a cup of water. All I have to say is that person is full of . We knocked on the door as you normally would at a jewelry store which for me, I expect especially now days.... So from the start we were on track. The woman behind the counter immediately greeted me and asked what I was in for, not if I needed help. On a good trip still. Next; I told her my simple story and not only did she recommend things, the woman who I know from the Yelp reviews to be one of the owners jumped in to help while my bum looking self showed zero indication I could pay anything. On top of that, I'm with my business partner which most would say we may look semi unsavory being tattooed and in work clothes, dirty, they even showed us Rolexes and all types of jewelry indicating, THEY LIKE THEIR JOB. I'd recommend them to anyone. I'm glad I was randomly looking for a gift the day I went in, and even though it's not my normal jeweler; I'm headed back to shop here soon. Oh, and I love dog people so Harley definitely made me feel at home. To all the 1 star reviewers, I can debunk all of your experiences with one visit. From one family business owner to another, I appreciate the experience and am glad there are folks like yourself carrying on your families tradition.

I can honestly say that I have never been more pleased. Val and Alicja work as a team to bring you the best in service and one of a kind masterpieces. I am currently having them work on my third custom ring (I only started the first one a few months ago). I took many of the plain pieces of jewelry I had, that I no longer wear, and had them creative dazzling unique one of a kind jewelry, true pieces of art. I consider myself very fortunate to have found Morrison Galleries. I have not only gained great jewelers but life long friends. Their prices are fair and the work they do is beyond AMAZING. You can trust them to have your best interest at heart. Everything they create is done with the finest materials, craftsmanship, and LOVE.

Excellent experience with Morrison's! My fiancé had purchased my engagement ring here in June and he told me how accommodating they were throughout the whole process. Apparently the shape I wanted (elongated cushion) isn't very typical, but they flew several diamonds in that fit the shape and quality he was looking for so that he would have multiple options to pick from. Once he selected the diamond, my fiancé frequently checked in with David on its progress of being set and he said David was so kind and patient with how anxious he was. When he picked up the ring before proposing, they gave him champagne and balloons to say congrats, super thoughtful! The ring is absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be happier! I came in to get it resized along with a family ring and got to see the shop for myself and everyone was as kind and patient as my fiancé described. They resized/appraised my engagement ring at no cost because we had purchased it there, and gave a reasonable price for resizing my family ring. They gave both rings a fantastic shining as well because they were absolutely SPARKLING when I picked them up. Can't say enough good things, absolutely recommend coming here!

I've always appreciated Morrison's; over the years I bought a beautiful watch for my husband for our anniversary, got watch batteries replaced, purchased watch bands, etc. Recently Morrison's helped me repair jewelry I'd inherited from my Mother that had a lot of sentimental value. Chris is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and has an eye for style. I left with bracelets and rings beautifully updated, repaired, sized, and cleaned. I can't thank Morrison's enough and highly recommend them!

I came in with my your daughter to give her her first charm bracelet and they spent tons of time with us making sure it was just the right fit. Although it was not a high price ticket item they treated us like we were the most important people there. Wonderful !! My family has been to Morrison's three times for watch services. My watch needed a battery replaced, which they did for $10 while I waited. A year later, my 15 year old got off the school bus and walked to Morrisons for a new battery for his digital watch; they didn't take his money. Yesterday, my now 17 year old son brought his Skagen watch to have a failed clasp replaced with a part supplied by Skagen. He had just asked for an estimate because I forgot to give him money that morning to pay for it. Morrison's fixed it on the spot and didn't charge him at all. Such kind and generous service to our youth and our community is much appreciated. I have always been an avid supporter of small businesses, particularly those in my community, and businesses like Morrison's is the reason why I do so. Thank you!

I have a great swiss watch that had the clasp fail. I had it in my desk, then car for over a year as I wasn't sure where to take it. I stopped in Morrisons and asked if they could repair it. The man behind the counter took a close look, said "we can fix this" and walked to the back of the store. I came back in 3 minutes and said, "here you go". No bill, no charges, no attitude. I was floored, thankful, and grateful. The cost to me, a yelp review. Consider these guys for your next Jewlery purchase, no matter the size or price. I have a feeling you won't be let down.

i brought in my swiss, Omega, lady's watch for repair. This was my 3rd jeweler. Not only was the bid competitive with the other two, but ultimately, they fixed it for free! There was no service charge after all was said and done. They found the problem, provided an estimate for service. Then, began fixing it and the watch worked without any hint of the original estimated problem. I couldn't have asked for more honest, approachable, courteous jewelers. I will definitley refer (ACtually, I already have!) people here. My only issue is the store has very short hours. They close by 5:30 each day. But worth planning to visit. There are lovely items for sale and service is great.

After looking at three other jewelers for my wedding band, I serendipitously ended up at Morrison's and I'm so glad I did! Betsy helped me find exactly the right ring. She helped me through the process of finding rings that I liked and never pressured me to buy (which I appreciated). Morrison's made a special order so that I could try a ring they didn't have in stock, and when I decided to purchase it, they made sure it arrived several weeks before I needed it. Morrison's staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and their prices are very reasonable. They always offer to clean my other jewelry when I am in the store at no cost.

I had the best experience getting a wedding ring at Morrison's. They have a wonderful selection of men's bands that are high quality and extremely reasonable. I had been to at least two other big name jewelry stores whose rings were twice as expensive, and no better in quality. Betsy was extremely helpful in advising me on various rings. I'm so happy with the one I chose and would give Morrison's my highest recommendation.

I love Morrison's Jewelers! They made me a custom designed dragon pendant. Sounds crazy, I know. It is perfect and a beautiful depiction of the beast! Gold dragon watching over a beautiful tanzanite. Go there!

I usually go to San Francisco to the whole sale stores, but need a small repair job done and didn't feel like driving to the city. Was surprised to find the jeweler to be fast and efficient. My repair was done in a day and it was an excellent repair.

Stopped in on Tuesday after deciding to get a late holiday gift for my wife. Dave worked with me on selection and educated me on what I was buying. He then made sure the gift arrived in time so I could pick it up today (Saturday Christmas eve). Great experience and great service.

I have been a customer of Morrisons going back to the 70's, when their store was in Berkeley. My initial contact was because they were local and could work on my watch (it's an old Bar Mitzvah present). As a result I have purchased all my "important" jewelry there, so when my pal Diane and I agreed to get married over the summer, I knew I would go there. That is because Co-owner Chris was wearing this knock out necklace with stars and diamonds a few years back when my watch required servicing. I knew Diane was not a wedding ring kinda human (she did as a matter of fact ask if she had to wear one?) so I always knew should that time come, I was getting her one of those necklaces. So, I went to Chris and she tried to track one down, but they were no longer being made. So, she and fellow conspirator/owner Dave had their jeweler design one for us, at an amazingly fair price, and the results did indeed knock Diane's eyeballs out of their sockets. Thanks Dave and Chris. I was already a customer, but now we are mates!

I had a tangle in my necklace. I was heartbroken that I could not get it fixed. I took it into Morrison's and they fixed it with no charge. So kind of them. They are great!

I went to Morrison's with my 35 year old Seiko which works perfectly except when it needs a new battery which I assumed it did because it had stopped working and it was about time. The young lady took it to the back and returned in 5 mins and said it would need a complete overhaul and it would be about $250.00 and unless if has sentimental value it wasn't worth it! Than was a bit harsh. So I picked up my watch and went to my regular watch repairman who has been servicing my watch for 25 years and he fixed it and I got a new battery for $65.00. (It has been working perfectly ever since - about 10 days). So unless you wish to be overcharged you might want to try The Tick Tock Shop in Palos Verde Mall in Walnut Creek. A wonderful honest business man who seems to really enjoy his work and does not need to overcharge his customers,

I have bought quite a bit of jewelry here. An engagement ring, a duplicate engagement ring when the first was accidentally left in a hotel while on vacation, and his and hers wedding bands. All were custom made and they made the experience one of the funest things I have done. Even though I have moved away from the bay area, I will always come back to Morrison's for my jewelry needs.

I stopped into Morrison's for the first time yesterday to see if they had a pin to fix a broken watch link. After taking it to their back room for several minutes, the jeweler returned and handed me my watch with the link repaired. Then, he refused to take any payment for it. How often does that happen? I've been charged upwards of $30 in SF for this exact repair before. Not sure when I will be buying any jewelry next, but I know where I am going when it's time. Nice to see that pride in service has not completely disappeared yet.

I went in for a simple new ring design, and it took 5 weeks! Everyone I spoke to kept passing the buck saying they weren't familiar with the job. The owner, David just kept apologizing saying he wasn't in the store because he was going through a nasty divorce. When I finally met him five weeks later I was floored to meet him in ripped jeans, an old t-shirt, and reeking of cigarettes and beer . He just kept apologizing about how long it took and how he was going through a a divorce . We thought it was highly inappropriate and were a little afraid about my ring which was too big, so we had to leave it again to be resized. It was easy to recognize that we were clearly taking up too much of his smoking time, as he ran out to smoke again ,before we had even left his sad store. I would never return nor recommend, the smell on his breath alone spoke volumes.

I've been in a few times for minor repairs/adjustments to my jewelry and they've always offered very good advice/options and have been very reasonable. Very impressed and satisfied and really appreciate the 'over and beyond' service while delivering quality products!

Our family has been going here for generations and it never disappoints. On this occasion we had a special request to create a custom engagement ring from raw gold, a first they said. David helped guide us through the process with ease and the final product turned out perfect. Great customer service and even better jewelry.
