If this Michelin star food, wow. The place idyllic, the staff were a delight, but the food and the cost were a joke. £350 for two for a tasting plate of 7 courses, of which i can only say were average at best. One course, the main, of roasted duck, my wife could not eat, and i could not chew enough to be able to swallow. The canapes were fine, but not exceptional: the rest, apart from a risotto, which was excellent, were just about ok.
I did mention the chewy duck I returned to my plate, and the waitress did say she would mention it, but there was no response. Giving us a water carafe with chips around the top is not what you should see in Wilf's cafe, let alone a supposedly top quality restaurant: I wish I had taken a photo of the duck and the carafe.
Finally, not sure how they can charge £14 each for two 125ml glasses of wine, no better than what you would pick up in a supermarket.
Glad I had the experience. I won't ever return
