I would like to thank Morton’s Steakhouse-Charlotte for making our anniversary such a memorable occasion! I thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine, service, and ambiance! The waitress was phenomenal with her menu recommendations and was such a delight (as were the servers). Everything from entrance to exit was amazing! It is almost a month later, and thinking about our anniversary dinner makes me so proud to have someone who cares about the small details. Thanks again for making the small details such a BIG DEAL.

The service was great! Our starters arrived quickly and was delicious. We had oyster Rockefeller and crab cakes. For my entree I had the Christopher chicken and my sisters had lobster ravioli and steak. Overall we enjoyed the restaurant and the food.

My mom and I came here prior to going to see Wicked a few weeks ago. When we arrived we were told there was a wait for our table that we had reserved, which was fine as we assumed they were getting it situated. We waited at the bar. The bartender was patient while we figured out what to order; HIGHLY recommend the lavender cosmo. Now, when we were told our table was ready we had a problem: walking and martini glasses are not a great combo. Initially, the hostess didn’t understand having someone bring our drinks to the table, but once we were handed off to a different host he handled our drink with ease. So, why is my rating for service four stars? That comes down to our waitress. She was very nice but the service was lacking. It took awhile for her to check in for ordering our food and for receiving our check. In her defense, I think she had a large table she was managing with BUT she wore her stress on her sleeve. In terms of atmosphere, the dress code is supposed to be business casual or smart casual attire. This dress code was…not enforced with several people in shorts, t-shirts, and hats. Lastly the food: we got the wagyu filets with asparagus and fries. I’m not sure if this was our waitresses fault or whoever plated our dish but the steak was luke warm to room temperature. I love a good steak but for the price I was a bit disappointed. I’ll likely give this place another shot at some point, but as it stands right now likely wont be going back any time soon.

The jumbo shrimp cocktail was outstanding and the 14oz ribeye and 22oz bone in Ribeye were delicious. Spicy margarita and Smokey old fashioned were also fantastic, along with a lovely Chilean Pinot Noir. Chris our server went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed & I got a candle in my desert and a photo for my birthday. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We have been to Morton’s before in other cities (DC and Austin) and have NEVER Had such a terrible experience. First off - I have allergies we made VERY clear : gluten, dairy and beef. We did a reservation for 845 - it was dead - probably no more than 6 tables in the restaurant. Our service was extremely slow - our son was starving as he played in a lacrosse tournament all weekend. We chose seared scallops for me and our son decided to try the lobster Mac and cheese for an appetizer We chose two salads. Made it clear my salad to have no cheese (I was going to split with my son) - I did not tell the waitress she overheard it . Then ordered asparagus, Brussels and pork chop. My husband got filet My son got the way filet and truffle fries We also got a bottle of wine and cocktails. So: Round 1: ordered cocktails and they took the drink menu (first no no- as we knew we wanted a bottle of wine) - didn’t realized it was taken until we went to look. Round 2: scallops come out with a little side of greens with cheese all mixed in- have to ask a. Random person as we could not find our waitress. And then the scallops come out - burnt . And not nearly as juicy looking the second time. They could have made the greens on the side again (just fresh with no cheese.) -as they were set down the manager said “I didn’t try to make these look as fancy - just wanted to get them out to you” Round 3: we need the bottle - have to ask another random person for the cocktail and wine menu … they only brought cocktail and we didn’t even know the price of wines Round 4: manager comes out and we ask what the price is of the wine and he said “whatever the glass is times 4 - so like 60 bucks… fyi- one glass is 26- we just rolled our eyes- and still got it knowing - he was clueless” Round 5: salad comes out and they split my wedge into two (usually would be nice) however they added blue cheese on my son’s Portion (while not Allergic - he HATES blue cheese) - plus they never asked what he wanted for dressing … and they messed up on my dressing - I wanted balsamic and citrus vingerette on the side. They didn’t bring dressing for my husband on his chopped salad They brought one citrus, one Italian and red wine and vinegar I asked for balsamic and extra citrus My son wouldn’t eat the salad (he tried to pick off the blue cheese) - they ran out of balsamic … Round 6: we are ready to just get our meals and be done. Porkchop was fine , steaks were fine - son said his fries and cream brûlée was good. Brussels - soggy and cold Asparagus - no flavor and not good Here is the final round and kicker - The bathroom - was so beyond gross. 3 out of the 4 stalls unusable ! I was pissed by this point and took a photo of this - and will add. We have been to STK in charlotte - staff is better and so is the food - Usually Morton’s is a hit - AVOID CHARLOTTE MORTONS at all cost - Makes me worried to try a Morton’s again…. 500 bucks with tip for 3 people - you expect good service and good food - and the bare minimum - somewhere you can use the restroom and NOT feel dirty when you leave.

Disappointed with this location. 5 star prices for 3 star treatment. First, it was about 15 minutes before we could get a drink order in while dining at the bar. The place was maybe 20 percent full, but they only had one bartender making drinks for the restaurant, who was not the greatest at mixology or customer service. Second, I asked if the bartender if the restaurant would make the shrimp Alexander appetizer even though it is no longer on the menu. Every other time I have asked for that appetizer at another location, they have made it for me despite not having it on the menu. The worst part is the bartender never asked the manager or the chef before immediately saying no. This is unacceptable for a restaurant that advertises 100% customer satisfaction. The food was fabulous as usual. The Wagyu filet is one of the best steaks anywhere. Sweet, intense flavor from the first bite to the last. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The price is reasonable for how exceptional the food usually is. The loaded baked potato is awesome and what an upscale steakhouse baked potato should be.

From the very moment we walked through the doors at Morton’s, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The greeter, Lucy, set the tone right away—warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. That kind of first impression is what makes fine dining feel truly special. Manager David made sure everything flowed smoothly throughout the evening, embodying exactly what you expect from a fine dining establishment: professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care for the guest experience. Our server, Chris, was absolutely on point—knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and always one step ahead of what we needed. From start to finish, the service was seamless and elevated the entire dining experience. When you go to Morton’s, you expect fine dining and fine service—and that’s exactly what we received. A memorable night made even better by a team who clearly takes pride in what they do!
