Went for the first time for a birthday celebration. The food choices included one wagyu meatballs appetizer which were so big they could be a meal all on their own. It was plenty for three or four to share. The main dish choices included the miso marinated sea bass, lobster bisque and an 8oz filet with bordelaise butter, along with sides of huge asparagus, smoked gouda & bacon augratin potatoes and marinated Brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious except for the very burnt "marinated" Brussel sprouts. Each side was plenty for a party of three or four to share.
Desserts were awesome: creme Brulee and Morton's hit chocolate cake for the birthday boy.
The service was not on par with our expectations for a place of this caliber. We were the second party to arrive as the doors opened on a Thursday night. It was not an evening of full tables at all. Our waiter said his bus boy had car trouble. So we went dry on our drinks and went unattended quite often. It was very frustrating and a disappointment to our meal.
Plus, unbeknownst to us, there was a THREE COURSE meal special which our waiter never bothered to tell us about. We found it after we left!! He, also, was hard to find when we were ready for our bill.
We, also, noted the signage that says-- no street clothes allowed. Yet ppl were walking in with shorts, beach halter tops, flip flops, etc., so forget that sign. That drops the classy atmosphere from a five star. Sadly, not quite the fine dining experience we were expecting.
