While the ambiance and service were great, the food was subpar. We started with the "jumbo" crab cake, which clearly was a typo because it was far from jumbo, more like "petite". We also had the bacon wrapped scallops, which weren't too bad.
From there we moved onto the entrees. Typically when I order filet mignon it melts in my mouth (like butter), but mine was overcooked (I asked for medium well) , which resulted in it being tough, not to mention bland. My hubby ordered a filet as well and while his was cooked to the right temp, it too was tougher than we are accustomed to and under seasoned. We also ordered the augratin potatoes, corn casserole and cream of spinach, all of which were just blah. I felt the potatoes could have been cooked a tad bit more. The corn casserole, although flavorful, was undercooked so we returned it for the creamed spinach. That was a huge mistake as the spinach was absolutely horrible. Imagine eating fresh spinach cooked in a watery sauce with no seasoning.
What the establishment lacked in culinary appeal, they made up with service and ambiance (thankfully). I'm on the fence on whether I will give them another go, as with a price point such as there's, you expect more.
