Very elegant steak house. Great service, great food. 3 people shared the Tomahawk steak, it was just the right amount...very good! We loved the appetizers and the surprise desserts at the end. Check out the photos.

The steak was a masterpiece, flawlessly cooked to perfection, while the truffle mashed potatoes were an indulgent treat for the senses. The food was soooooo good. The steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork. We got the crab cake and tried the meatballs for the appetizer AMAZING! Crab cake was filled with meat and not all that filler stuff and the meatballs were juicy. I got the 8oz filet and my boyfriend got the 16oz NY Strip very flavorful. It was my boyfriend’s birthday so they also brought out a huge freshly baked cookie with a cute candle and ice cream. 10/10 recommend. We enjoyed the pianist as well.

Consistent good food no matter what you get. This time around we got bacon wrapped scallops, and the 32oz tomahawk for 2 with a side of cream corn. Will always return!

Excellent, we had a wonderful time dining with them before a show at the neighboring riverside theater. The staff was incredible and attentive. The scallop appetizer was the highlight for me but the entrees are terrific as well. Large portions well prepared, highly recommend

I came here for dinner with coworkers and we left feeling satiated and happy about our meals. The service and food quality was exceptional. We ordered the French onion soup, old fashion, anchovies with Caesar salad, 16oz New York strip loin, 4 and 6 oz filets, lobster mac and cheese, Brussels with bacon, and broccolini. The dessert was complimentary, which included a big cookie crumble with a scoop of home made vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. I highly recommend this establishment. The waiters were very attentive and the presentation of the different cuts of steak was nice to see.

Fantastic place for Steaks. A classy interior where you feel instantly welcome. Someone is there to hold the door and the service was prompt and impeccable. Kate and her team were wonderful. I got a New York Strip medium rare and it was perfectly cooked, one of the best steaks I’ve had this year. Their signature prep style was delicious and the steak was served in melted butter making a dangerous combination that was amazing. Would definitely go back.

The steaks are always cooked to perfection, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing--ideal for the team to unwind after a game. We came here for my birthday. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. They wished me happy birthday right as we entered the restaurant. We wee seated upstairs. Our wait staff was Madddie and Ellee. They both immediately came over to welcome us. They brought a delicious bread- pretzel plate with regular butter and chocolate butter. It was delicious. We ordered- 1) 8 oz filet- it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. It had the perfect char on the outside and was cooked perfectly- medium rare on the inside. 2) Brussels sprouts- they were incredible. The brown sugar, butter, and bacon on them was so delicious. 3) Cesar salad was good. 4) chocolate chip cookie dessert- it was heaven on a plate. A giant warm cookie with vanilla ice cream and delicious chocolate sauce. It was amazing! Thank you to Maddie and Allee for treating us so well, and making our visit here amazing. They were so friendly and so attentive. I look forward to coming back here when we are visiting lovely Milwaukee.

1st time here!! Let me say the customer service is top notch!! Reminded me of the southern hospitality everyone I cane in contact greeted me and not over doing it!! Very genuine Ordered bruschetta which was good, my husband made a little mess lol We had the bread which was warm and butter creamy as it should be. I ordered the Lil mo the steak was soooo tender!! Best steak I have had. Also had bacon wrapped scallops which were good My husband had the 8oz fillet which was very good and side of lobster bisque which was very flavorful and lobster mac n cheese and creamy spinach (spinach was bland but I added salt and pepper) Also celebrated husband birthday and they brought out a new York cheesecake and real fresh strawberries with whipped cream (in my opinion way better than Cheesecake factory cheesecake) Very good 1st time experience

We loved the live piano playing in the background. Service was phenomenal. We had Adrian and Ashley as our servers we ordered Wagyu fillets. We split the double baked potato and for dessert we loved the cookie with ice cream. The old fashioned and French martinis were tasty too

If you take anything from this review, let it be this.... ORDER THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS!! I apologize for yelling, but it needs to be known. We went to Mo's A Place For Steaks for David's birthday and it was a perfect special event spot! Everything we got was delicious and so well flavored. It's up there for our favorite steak place in the city! Next time I would get the lobster Mac instead of the Pepper Jack, but that's just personal preference. The most outstanding part about this place is their staff. It's truly insane how kind and attentive everyone working was! They didn't know it was David's birthday but they just brought us a complimentary cheesecake at the end. It made our whole night! Truly can't recommend this place more! Sorry the photos suck, I'll just blame the lighting.

So incredibly good! We came here for a friends birthday, and while I'm not usually keen on steakhouses (no beef eater), mos was a great one! I got the Sicilian chicken, Caesar salad. The bummer, they don't do upgrades to the Caesar, we asked for the upgrade in lieu of the house salad but were told it would be full price. The bread was so warm and delish, and the butter was amazing. We had a chocolate butter which was very dessert like, so I opted for the regular. Good to try though! The service was great, as was the espresso martini. We got a bunch of sides, the pepperjack mac was my favorite, as was the asparagus. Dessert was a cheesecake and fresh baked cookie, both terrific! Price wise, this spot is expensive. We spent over 1000 for 8 people, some of which didn't get steaks or multiple drinks. It's definitely worth it for a celebration or a fancy night out though.

$63 16oz new York strip very tuff and had a lot of side fat. Would not order again! Service was good. Ambiance was good. Wedge lettuce very small!Lobster Mac was ok not worth $30 was kinda small and tasteless definitely like capitol grills better.

We made a reservation for the lounge space which to our fun surprise had live piano music playing. My friend ordered a cosmo and I ordered a copilot sticking to my choice of gin cocktails for that evening. While her cosmo look pretty it was incredibly strong and did not taste good. This was her first cosmo but I've had a few cosmos over the years and while yes it's a martini full of just booze it shouldn't taste that way. Likewise my cocktail not featured in photos was also not good. It was also served in a pint glass which didn't seem right for a cocktail. Maybe I didn't like the gin used, not sure but I have yet to order a gin cocktail that I don't like. Our waitress was understanding of our comments as each drink had 2-3 small sips. We didn't ask for new cocktails to replace since we weren't sure what those would be like. Giving three stars still because our waitress was nice and understanding and the cookie we ordered for dessert really was a 10/10 nice and warm with chocolate drizzle and just the right amount of ice cream!

For the price the service was sub-par. Our server was inattentive and did not take care of us the way another server was taking care of his tables. She got our order wrong and was $50 more than it should be. She also brought us a desert I could not eat due to food allergies. I was very disappointed.

Service and food were both excellent! This is my favorite place to eat when I visit Milwaukee! Best steak I've ever had! And the restaurant itself feels fancy but comfortable at the same time. Love this place!

My family and I visited Mo's for my dads birthday. He's a steak guy and we wanted to go somewhere he could get a good one. I on the other hand don't eat steak so I usually go basic at steakhouses. We walked in and were seated promptly after using the valet. ( it was right out front and was $10 for anyone else with parking anxiety). The service was great from start to finish. We had calamari as an appetizer which was really good. It had a sauce drizzled over it which made it delicious. I ordered a side of Mac and cheese and lobster bisque while my dad and brother ordered steak, Brussels, and mashed potato's. I sent my bisque back as it tasted burnt but I enjoyed the Mac and cheese and it had a good about of lobster in it. No complaints from the boys about their steaks and we finished dinner with a delicious complimentary slice of cheesecake.

Always great, the foods amazing, the service is perfect and the atmosphere is stunning. Can't say to much more about it! You'll love it.

Our 30th Wedding Anniversary dinner celebration and the whole experience was simply wonderful. We had Wagyu filets, bacon wrapped scallops, and cheesecake as a complimentary dessert (they even printed a menu that wished us a happy Anniversary). Our server, Maddie, was well informed, helpful with suggestions, and very attentive without being intrusive--she added a delightful touch for the evening. The ambience is upscale and comfortable. Highly recommended all around!

The experience was EXCEPTIONAL! The servers (Adrianne and Olivia) took superb care of my entire table. Adrianne knew exactly what I wanted in a traditional dry gin martini.. The food was sublime! Everything was prepared at the highest level of the culinary arts. It was incredible. We will be back again.

We went here for dinner last night. Had the scallops crab cake Caesar. Salad and French onion soup. Everything was very good

I was in a party of 4 for mom's 68th birthday. Reservations were easy to make. Dimly lit, beautiful decor..... elegance. (The ceiling had some obvious issues. On the second floor... surprise for the caliber of the restaurant but the beautiful none the less.) I'll start with the good....The main server, Katie was amazing. Attentive.. we were given menus with "Happy 68th Birthday Mom." Mom loved the wine selection. Katie presented steaks. Mom, who never tries new things, did. Katy is a keeper. Napkins and silverware were replaced right away. Service began a 5. Smiles. Good times. Katie began to get busy and there was an assistant server and things changed..... very patient because there were a variety of options on the menu and it was hard to choose. Second server: A entirely different attitude. No smile. Impatient. Brought us half of a bread basket and said the rest was in the oven. Never brought it. Me: What are my options for salad dressing? Her: We have 13. (Silence) Me: (surprised but not put off entirely).... what types of vinegarettes? Her: Gave me the 2 options. Mom: How is the salmon prepared and how is it? She recommends the pesto salmon. We explained Mom probably won't like it... and says the Salmon is just a plain piece of fish. (So mom needs more time because he mind was on the salmon and know she doesn't want to order because it now sounds appealing.) She comes back. Mom: How are the ribs? Her: Just some ribs. (Rudely, More attitude which made us all look up and not smiling) and walks away because Mom now doesn't want that. We are Mom looking deflated. I asked Katie over and couldn't really tell her the entire situation because I'm at the table so I'm trying to be discreet. Katie apologized. Talked to her. I saw her response. Katie apologizes profusely. Katie described in detail the ribs and Mom ordered them and her smile returned. She loved Katie and service was back on track.... Drink: Wine was amazing. The Starburst was ok.... Food: The Pesto Salmon was delicious. Perfect balance. Cooked to perfection. I didn't want to stop eating..... and that French Onion Soup!!!!!!! Amazing!!!!!!! My mouth is watering now thinking of it. Those "just ribs" were fall off the bone and Mom loved them. The steak was a little tough for me. I struggled with how to rate this. Katie was 5 star. The other server gave 0.5. ( She was right about my Pesto) I also would have appreciated a manager to come to the table especially with the complaint. They did give Mom two birthday treats. Her smiles returned due to Katie and the ribs and she felt loved on. Food: 4.5 My personal overall experience 3.5 I'm torn. Service is everything to me. I hated giving a 20% tip because Katie would have had to share. I'll probably order the soup to go. There is a lot of great competition in the area for steaks. I will not be back at Mos. Katie is a gem!

My partner loves a good steak. So, he wanted to have dinner at Mo's prior to a recent Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra performance. Because I don't eat red meat, I was reluctant to have dinner there. Once he learned that they have bacon-wrapped scallops as both an appetizer and a side, well, the deal was sealed. Their classic old fashioned was pretty good. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his filet and scallops. I had the pan-seared salmon and a side of Brussels sprouts with bacon and brown sugar. The salmon was basic and I was hard-pressed to find any brown sugar in my sprouts. The hostess, a young lady whose hair was on point, and our waiter, a cute and personable bespectacled guy, were terrific. If I'm going to spend $200 (or more!) for a meal for two people, I'm more inclined to try some of Milwaukee's newer James Beard Award-nominated restaurants. Nonetheless, my partner was happy and that made me happy. I'd give Mo's a solid 3.75 stars.

My boyfriend and I took a trip to Milwaukee and were excited to try a new steak house. We ended up going to Mo's are so happy we did! We made reservations online and arrived about 10 mins early and were seated immediately. The restaurant is beautiful and has perfect mood lighting for a date night. We came for an anniversary dinner and the table set with menus that said "Happy Anniversary" which was such a nice touch! We had complimentary bread that came with regular and butter of the day which was chocolate butter. I was not expecting to like the chocolate but it was so good! We also got complimentary salads with our entrees and the lettuce was so fresh and they have a large variety of dressings. When ordering our entrees our server brought out each cut and explained the differences. I'm not very knowledgeable about cuts so this was super helpful! I ended up ordering the NY strip with garlic butter and mashed potato's and my boyfriend ordered the ribeye with pepper jack mac and cheese. The garlic butter is game changer! Both steaks were cooked PERFECTLY and we were so stuffed. After we ate they brought us out a giant cookie and drizzled chocolate over the top for our anniversary. The cookie was AMAZING I can only imagine how good their other desserts are. To drink I ordered a red wine and it was also delicious, I only wish I could remember which one it was!! Overall, we had an amazing experience! This was definitely the best steaks we've ever had and we loved both our servers! The only con is we live 7 hours away :'( if I'm ever back in Milwaukee I'll make sure to visit again!

We dined at Mo's for a private small company dinner. A few of us split the porterhouse, which was decadent, and they cut it up for us so we could share easily. Luke & Max were our waiters and they were fantastic. Highly recommend!

We've been coming to Mo's for years for the food and the upscale dining experience. Last night, we went and for the first time, was very disappointed. The food was still excellent (filets etc.) but the service was terrible. Normally, the servers really add to the experience but we had two women last night that were clearly not trained how to serve in a beautiful steakhouse. Not once but twice, the server over-poured my husband's beer, spilling it all over - twice! When they brought subsequent drinks, they didn't take away the empty glasses from our earlier drinks - they just let them pile up on the table. They didn't bring our bread until after our appetizers. They brought our entrees very quickly after serving the salads so we had to hurry to finish the salads so we could eat the filets while they were still hot. Neither was attentive in any way throughout the meal. Friends have recommended Aria at St. Kate's hotel and we haven't gone because we've loved Mo's. Next time, we'll try Aria.

Great service. We had 8pm reservations 10/1 Crab cake and meatballs as apps were AMAZING. My bf got the 8oz wyagu with lobster tail and we shared a baked potato. I got the sea bass ALL AMAZING to this restaurant

Dined with a friend while visiting MKE for work The hostess was super pleasant which started our evening out perfectly. Our server Mo (yes his name is the same as the restaurant) was super attentive to our needs. Mo assisted us with wine pairings to compliment our steak choices. Will, additional server kept our meal rotation going smoothly, bringing the food and clearing the area timely. To our surprise Mo & Will delivered a complimentary dessert to help us close girls night in style. We enjoyed half a pour to indulge our brownie ice cream dessert. Although our plan was to enjoy dinner at a local MKE dining establishment, Mo's A Place for Steaks helped us have an experience one that was truly enjoyable and memorable. Side note valet is provided as an option to avoid finding a place to park.

Some friends treated us to a birthday/engagement celebration dinner here, and we both remarked at how long it had been since we had dined here, and it was a very welcome return! The staff were extremely helpful and efficient, from the incredibly friendly hostess that brought us upstairs to meet the rest of our party (and congratulated us on our upcoming nuptials!) to the team of servers and support staff that managed all of the aspects of our meal. The appetizers were all excellent (meatballs and scallops), the entrees exquisite (pesto salmon for me and sicilian chicken for my love), and the bonus skillet cookie at the end was the icing on the cake!

My husband and I went for dinner to celebrate our birthdays and 1 week of marriage. Amazing to say the least. We both had the wagyu filets, Mac and cheese and broccolini. Steak was cooked to perfection. The staff picked up the tab on our cheesecake and chocolate cake. Cheesecake was probably the best I've ever had. Atmosphere was definitely more serious. The dining room is a very mature feeling. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable which is expected in that type of restaurant. Definitely not your average dinner spot, more for special occasions. Have already recommended it to many friends, we will definitely be back.

We had a great time at MO's last night for supper! All 4 of us had different entrees and all were amazing! I tried the Wagyu steak for my first time and it melted in my mouth it was so tender! Sides were great as were the drinks and service. Suggest booking a reservation in advance! Enjoy!

This is the only place my very picky Missouri father has loved. Since moving him up here a year ago, we've tried several steakhouses to try and get him that Missouri beef quality. Being vegetarian myself, I have no idea if the steaks here are good, personally. However, I trust my meat and potatoes dad. He's in love with the place. The staff is very kind and professional. The valet parking outside makes the journey downtown easy.

Great service and delicious food. We were seated upstairs which offered less crowding and ability to carry a conversation among our party of six.

My sister came in town and where she live there food isn't the best so we decided to go to one of our favorite places. this is a places we have eaten at several times and have had great service but last night not so good our food was cold , our waiter and waitress didn't come check on us and I do believe my steak was not the correct one I ordered. I was not happy at all

If you want a great meal, this place is a must! Amanda and Lulu were our servers and took great care of us without being intrusive. 4oz. filet was perfectly cooked, the sides of mushrooms and broccolini were enough for 3 people to share, and the Bauman baked potato was the bomb!!!! Also had sea bass. Excellent! Ambience was perfect. We had a window seat, there were twinkle lights inside, plus a piano player. Fantastic!

We love eating at Mo's. The service is second to none. The way the steaks are prepared they hit perfectly medium rare for us every time. The Waygu steaks are our favorite choices and take flavors to a new level. If you want a non steak option the Sea Bass is my choice and really enjoy it with a nice white wine. Mo's will have some reasonably priced quality red wines so watch for Jamie's specials!. Can't say enough about the service, whether in the bar or at a table they make you feel like family. Ready to go back!

Went out to eat last weekend and noticed a hair in my food I told the server right away she had a attitude about it and told me it was mine I wanted to talk to the manager and he seemed careless it was a bad experience for me and my family won't recommend if you want to have a quiet dinner also my steak was cold waited almost a hour another thing I went to the women's bathroom and it was dirty no toilet paper

I met some fam here for dinner. Mo's is a steakhouse on Plankinton near Kilbourn in DT Milwaukee. We started off with the calamari app ($15). It was pretty good, but I have had better: 3.5 Stars. For my main, I had the surf & turf ($60 | 4 oz filet & lobster tail). For sides we had lobster mac & cheese and asparagus. They also had a ribeye for $60. First of all, the steak was okay. It seemed small and the taste was basic. Likewise, the lobster tail was dry: 3 Stars. Our sides were also just okay. The lobster mac wasn't over the top vs Mastro's, and the asparagus was pedestrian: 3 Stars. Regarding the ambiance, there is a bar straight ahead as you enter. To your left are a number of tables of two and four. Upstairs are larger tables for big parties: 4 Stars. So why the 5 Stars you say? Well the waiter from Team #4 had just gone to O'ahu. We shared some stories and he gave us a cookie and ice cream on the house! In addition, the waitress on Team #4 was super nice and took a pic for us: 5+++++ Stars. Mo's has okay food compared to other steakhouses. However, the fantastic service sets this place apart from the others.

Welcome to Mo's, so far one of my favorite steak joints in Milwaukee. I've been here about 4 times now, and I've sat in all different areas of the restaurant. On that note I wouldn't want to sit in the bar near the Piano again. It was a bit loud and did not allow much for conversational privacy. But then again, it was in the bar area‍. I've also used Open Table to make reservations and have never had issues. So far the customer service piece has always been impressive. My experiences with the wait staff can be described as fun, attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The last time I was here the server could have been a stand up comedian. His engaging personality and quick wittedness really made our dinner so much more pleasurable. I ordered the 4 oz. Wagyu Filet and the server immediately recommended to have it butterflied. I also ordered a side of sautéed spinach while my friend ordered the grilled asparagus. He had the 8oz. filet Mignon. We both agreed that the tenderness and flavor were outstanding. The veggies were tasty, and I am a person who struggles to consume veggies, so if I like them then they were exceptionally good. We were discussing dessert when out of nowhere the server brought a "complimentary" trio of cheesecake, chocolate cake, and some type of whip in between the two. I wasn't sure if this was what we were thinking but we went with it. Honestly both the cheesecake and chocolate cake together where OMG good. I have to say it was the perfect ending to a very tasty dinner and a good sharing portion for us. On a last note I did indulge in the Mo's Elderflower Old Fashioned w/Maker's Mark, St. Germaine, Bitters. They say it's a Floral Twist on a Wisconsin Classic. It was very hard to refuse a third glass because I liked it so much, but I would definitely not be walking out of there if I didn't! . Keeping it classy! Go ahead and give Mo's a try when you're in Downtown Milwaukee. It gets busy on the weekends so plan to make a reservation.

Our waiter Luke was FABULOUS!! He took the time to explain to "my Luke" and I, what he would recommend & we went with just that!! Portions are large so splitting a dinner if you don't have a huge appetite is more than okay. We even took some back to our hotel. We always ask the locals what they recommend for brunch the next day and Luke was awesome with tang as well. Friendly, romantic, delicious...can't beat it!

Overall, Mo's was worth it for the price! I went for an anniversary dinner and got the salmon and lobster mac n cheese. Both were amazing and good portions- especially the pesto salmon! We also got a complementary plate of dessert for our anniversary which was amazing and the wine servings are generous. Service was pretty good with quick bussing and resetting!

One of the best steak joints in Milwaukee, this is a category with very stiff competition. The service is stellar, even during Downtown Dining Week when some fixed price choices are around 50% off and elite restaurants are much busier than usual. Highest quality steaks and salmon. Excellent cocktails without sneaky hidden upcharges. If you know what wines cost in wine stores, then it can be hard to order their better wines here but the wine list is sterling. Is it better than Mason Street Grill, is it better than Rare? Well I can't afford to eat at the three often enough to decide but these are the three 5-star steak places in town.

Although I don't live here any longer, I've eaten at Moe's many times. It used to be the prominent steak house in the city. It's long fell off that perch. Quickly surpassed by Carnevor and Rare. Feels like it needs a reboot. It's underwhelming and there's better choices that will be memorable.

I don't usually review a restaurant starting from the service, as I think food is what really matters. But I am impressed by the service here. From the valet staff, host at the door to my server Kelley and Danny at the table, everyone is so friendly and professional. Ok back to the food and drink, Kelly introduced different beef cuts to me by actually holding a plate of beef. How cool it is! I ordered the Dainty Lady and a half bowl of brussels sprouts. Danny brought me the salad and bread with two butters after just a few minutes. Bread was warm and soft with a bit of nice crunch outside. Salad was okay - decent size, nothing really special. My fillet and scallops were nicely cooked and well seasoned. They went very well with my wine. Perfect sized. I did enjoyed every bite every much! And shout out to the brussels sprouts sautéed with bacon and brow sugar. So delicious! The bacons were so crispy and not oily at all. I am sure other side dishes are yummy too, but you can't go wrong with the Brussels sprouts. Overall, it was a delightful evening at Mo's. An upscale steakhouse, but also a true friendly neighborhood restaurant.
