I recently enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at Mosaic Bar and Grille with my amazing husband. The atmosphere was enchanting, with stunning views of the ocean that made our meal even more special. We decided to indulge and ordered the lobster sandwich and the lobster salad. Both dishes were outstanding! The lobster sandwich was perfectly prepared, with succulent chunks of lobster nestled between fresh, toasted bread. It was paired with crispy sweet potato fries that complemented the sandwich beautifully. The lobster salad was equally impressive—light, refreshing, and bursting with flavor. The combination of fresh ingredients made it a delightful choice for a sunny day. The service was impeccable; the staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect meal. If you find yourself in Laguna Beach, Mosaic Bar and Grille is a must-visit for an exceptional dining experience. We can’t wait to return!

Absolutely gorgeous setting- the views of the ocean and coast and grounds can’t be beat! It was a sunny Sunday lunch, but there were plenty of umbrellas to provide shade. Very good beyond burger and fries, but nothing super special. Service was less attentive (needed drink refills for a long time, for example) than you expect in a place like this. Hostess was very friendly and accommodating. They validated our valet parking, which was nice. Walking around after lunch was spectacular!

Beautiful Brunch-Lunch Spot right in the heart of the spectacular “Montage Laguna Beach” Prices are not cheap, you will definitely end up paying a good church of cash, but the view is just priceless. The Alcoholic Beverages and Cocktails are prepared just right, and the food is delicious. I personally highly recommend this place if you are spending the weekend at Laguna Beach or even if your just driving by for a break and a small delicious bite.

We met some friends for lunch at one place, but decided to go to Mosiac Bar & Grille and it was beyond Fabulous with the views of the ocean. The food was Excellent and Very Delicious 😋

Great location with excellent views and ambiance. Food and drinks are delicious. Tyler and Nick are some of the amazing mixologists in OC, stop by and ask for them, you will be lucky to enjoy their excellent customer service and sense of humor, along the view, the drinks and welcoming atmosphere!

This restaurant is part of a hotel-resort right next to Treasure Island Beach and really the only option for nearby eats that is convenient if you are visiting that beach. However, it is worth it. The food and drinks are soooo good. They are NOT cheap with alcohol in the pina colado and it was wonderful. Chips and guac were great. Chips were crisp and perfected with salt and the guac was obviously home-made. I had the lobster quesadilla and they were NOT CHEAP with the lobster. You get what you pay for with this meal. Fries were also golden and crispy with the right amount of salt. I would say overall it is pricey but worth it. OH ! And depending where you sit you can have a view of the resort and beach and water. WONDERFUL

First: I don’t like to leave negative reviews!!! But: We ordered: - guacamole 🥑 and Chips; we did not order but got a small cup of salsa We thought it’s part of the meal. . At the end the waiter Al. G. charged $6!!! - We ordered: Lobster Quesadilla: obviously it had more, lot more cheese than lobster! $36! It supposed to come with OUR CHOICE of: fries, sweet potato fries or fruits. The waiter did Not ask what we want. He brought out Fries!!! I am on the pretty healthy side so it didn’t really work for me. - Third order was: A Fish sandwich. Also came with Fries!!! I got cup of water. Asked for a Straw. Got it in seconds but: the waiter brought it out in his hand. Meaning: he held it in the middle and I supposed to put it into my water!!!! I don’t know what he touched before!!!! Germs, bacteria…. We said nothing. On top of these: we have not finished our lunch yet and he brought out the Check! I asked my son whether he asked for it: he said NO!!! The waiter also didn’t ask if we want any coffee or dessert! Anyway, I was so excited about trying this restaurant out. Now I am very disappointed! I was pissed for 2 reasons: #1: the Service, #2: my son tipped him accordingly!!!!!! Although I love Montage!!! Especially the espresso from the Bar from the Check-In area!!!!

We had a lovely late lunch with dear friends here, after spending a fantastic beach day. What a nice way to take a break and sit back for some delicious food overlooking the ocean and the pool. We ordered nachos to share which were truly special. They had pepper jack cheese, pinto beans, olives, avocado, green onions, sour cream, jalapenos and the option for chicken, steak, shrimp or lobster. We chose to not add protein and I don't think we needed it. I would definitely order again! We also ordered this awesome chicken sandwich which had a choice of french fries, sweet potato fries, mixed greens or fruit. We went for the mixed greens which was a really fresh and delicious salad that came with a perfect vinaigrette. We also had their ceviche but that was really just okay. It was definitely not amazing and I would not get again. We ended up feeding our little guy off of us which I would do again. Mosaic is EXPENSIVE (all caps on purpose) and the kids menu is no exception. Service was excellent and they refilled our water continuously which was great because it was really hot. Validation was included in our hefty albeit "worth it" bill and this was a terrific perk. While we were under the impression it would make our $30 parking half price, when we left we ended up paying the tip only!

My wife and I were visiting the Montage for our wedding anniversary this weekend. We had been to the Mosaic Bar & Grille in the past and enjoyed the experience. On this visit, we asked the hosts if they would be able to accommodate a party of two for lunch. We were told that a table would be opening up in 20 minutes and to share a phone number so that their staff could call us once the table was ready. After going back to the hotel lobby and waiting for almost 40 minutes without any phone call or messages, my wife and I decided to go back to the restaurant to check if the table was ready since plenty of time had passed. We asked the hosts if the table was ready and they confirmed our name. After a brief check, one of the hosts informed us that that unfortunately a table was not ready and that we would need to wait another 30 minutes before being seated. Although we explained that we did not have time to keep waiting for a table since we had a babysitter and could only spend so much time at lunch, the host just apologized to us and did not attempt to reconcile the issue by accommodating us or offering a complimentary meal/drink. We quickly decided that we would be leaving the property and went to a different restaurant nearby that could seat us. It was not until an hour and a half that we received a call from Mosaic by which time we were seated at another restaurant and being served an appetizer. Extremely disappointed with Mosaic's poor customer service. The arrogance of their staff in thinking that peoples' time is an afterthought because they are employed at the Montage Resort is an embarrassment. Prestigious places like the Montage should be renowned for customer service. This experience leaves a sour taste and dampened a special occasion.

I've been coming to the Mosaic since I was a child. This is a must-try spot if you're in OC. The view is breathtaking, the food is delicious, the service is always top-tier. Everything on the menu is great but I have an obsession with their seasoned french fries. At the very least, come visit for a cocktail and an appetizer while you enjoy the scenery.

My sister and I came here on a Monday and we ordered a hummus plate sort of dish and the ceviche. Both had good flavor. I wished that the hummus plate had more tomatoes and cucumbers instead of celery but that's honestly not a big deal. The beer was good, my sister got a piña colada and that was really really delicious. The ceviche was good and had serranos which added a nice spice. The service was a bit lacking. We needed to flag our waitress down to order and later to get the check, and this took quite a bit of time. There were long periods where she did not check in with us and we would've probably ordered additional drinks if she had. It seemed like she was quite busy so this was not a fault of her's but likely insufficient staffing and management issues. Nonetheless it was a bit frustrating. This restaurant is great if you're spending time at the pool, though, and had a good variety of items. We lounged by the pool the entire time we were dining. There are also tables with a nice view of the beach and ocean. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of money, though.

Every time I have a friend that comes for a visit out of town or even out of the country mosaic grill is where we pop into.. It's not fancy, which is great . You can have salads Aji, tuna pasta, burgers nachos, however. What fascinated us on Saturday was the extensive collection of clase azul tequilas... and if you want a quick tutorial head to the bar at mosaic grill, the bartenders are so informative. He told us everything we could possibly know about this particular tequila. Of course we had to then have some and ring the bell ! The sunsets are extraordinary from this vantage point of the hotel so if you ever have a chance to come at sunset, have a great meal something to drink it's beyond spectacular... or you can do what we did we had a cocktail and then we had dinner at the loft which is also connected to the hotel... Either way you're going to have a great time ..

We came here for drinks and appetizers before dinner. We were staying at the hotel and wanted to enjoy the water while having some refreshments. The service staff was nice but I felt like there were often times we were needing something and couldn't find them. I'd think they'd be a bit more attentive with the pricing here. I got the frosé all day and it's definitely a strong drink! If you want something refreshing, strong and frozen then get this. We also got the calamari and ahi tartare. We really enjoyed both dishes! The ahi was light and refreshing but I wish the wonton chips were a little thicker or crispier because some of them were very crumbly. The calamari was nice and crispy and I liked it best with the marinara. Overall, a nice spot if you're staying at the hotel and want more casual food! We also ate at the Loft for dinner and I thought the food here was better than at their nicer restaurant. I'd rather have had dinner here.

Come for the view and some drinks but not the food. Like others have said: way overpriced and slow service with not all staff wearing masks. Had the Mosaic burger at $28 and it was fine. Not worth the price though. Service was pretty slow throughout the meal. Outdoor dining available

Was excited to try this place after trying out the spa. We stopped by for lunch on a Tuesday and it was easy to get water view seats for two. View 5/5: Water and lawn views while you enjoy your food no complaints. Food 3.5/5: We ordered the ceviche for an app and were very satisfied. Was probably the highlight of the meal. Generous portions of shrimp soaked in lime and topped with fresh avocados. Served with generous portions of fresh tortilla chips. For mains we ordered the swordfish tacos and the lobster quesadilla. The lobster quesadilla was tasty with a warm grilled tortilla bread and melted cheese. The tacos were underwhelming lacking flavor and on the dry side. Drinks 3/5: margaritas served out of plastic cups assuming because the restaurant is adjacent to the pool. Drinks were average at best. If you're looking for good food and drinks with water view I would recommend Blu180 at the Ritz which is not far away from this place. Still worth checking out if you're staying at the hotel or using spa services.

Today was a great day to come out and visit in the Montage Hotel in the pool area near the spa for some R and R. The pool attendants are wonderful. I had the chopped Lobster Salad and iced tea. The salad, which was a steep $40, had one huge piece of lobster with chopped romaine lettuce, diced mango, and Sun-Dried Tomatoes on it. I feel that the salad fell a little short. I hardly tasted any dressing, and for $40 it better be real flavorful. The iced tea was refreshing. The service was excellent. The calming ocean atmosphere was a rewarding experience. They start serving food at 11am daily, so be sure to grab a lounge chair early for the perfect spot for the ultimate sunbathing experience. This wasn't my first time at Mosaic, so don't order the Baja fish tacos, it's mostly dry, but do try their shrimp cocktail or their burgers. Those are your best bet! This place is ultra pricey, so you have been warned..

Omg what a wonderful Hotel the Montage..loved the view, atmosphere and wish I could stay there . My friend and I decided to have few cocktails and appetizers at the Mosaic. Let me put it this way, as much as the day and weather were perfect, so the drinks, the food, the staff... and very special thanks to our Haley our server. Thanks you were awesome!!

I had heard that the Montage Resort was a nice place to go to enjoy the beach views and food. We visited the Mosaic Bar & Grille and yes the view was amazing but the food, service, and seating was not what I expected based on the prestige of the Montage and prices. It is not acceptable to say I'm paying for the view because I'm paying for more than that. The burger was good, but the lobster roll for the price could have been a little bigger. We had to ask for drink refills and it wasn't that busy. The seats cushions were wet and didn't realize it until after we ordered. It was cold and when we asked for a heat lamp they offered us an old dingy looking blanket. When someone came over I asked to be move to the table next to the heat lamp and instead they did bring a heat lamp over to our table so that was appreciated. When I think of Montage I think of luxury and with this experience I would question paying the price for a stay. A few suggestions for management because it starts from the top and setting a high standard. I would suggest warning the guest that the seats may be wet due to weather conditions, replace the old blankets with new ones, based on weather conditions have heat lamps at each table and have staff offer this option to the guest, speak with staff to observe drink replenishment and check in a little more.

Great poolside restaurant in the most beautiful setting and views. Love coming here for lunch with my family. The food is simple and delicious with unique flavors. I ordered the lobster quesadilla and loved it. Came with fries and some sauces. The froze was very refreshing and delicious. Great customer service as always. Can't wait to go back.

This is a phenomenal restaurant overlooking the ocean at the Montage Hotel!! We had shrimp ceviche and a delicious healthy salad without cheese!! Great sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean!!

See that the hotel for a few days with my friends and we ate here for breakfast every day. Food is amazing in the view is fun matched. The staff is amazing. Megan, my waitress every morning, who was always sweet and started my day off with a smile. Definitely with highly recommend this place for try.

Great pool side restaurant and pool side service! Dined at the restaurant and had pool side service several times while staying at the Montage. Simple menu with a wonderful selection of items for all. As a vegetarian, my options were a few salads, the Impossible Burger, the Superfoods Bowl, the tacos with tofu and the Avocado Pita. I had the tacos and the bowl (a few times since it was so good). My bf had the chips and salsa w guacamole, swordfish tacos, salmon tacos, lobster quesadilla, Cesar Salad and a few Bloody Marys. Everything was outstanding! Although we loved everything, the highlights were the guacamole and Superfoods Bowl. The guacamole had chunks of onion, tomatoes and avocado in it and appeared to be seasoned with lemon and salt. The tofu in my bowl was perfectly cooked and seasoned with Cajun spices. The edges were crispy and the center was smooth and firm. Service both at the restaurant and by the pool was remarkable. Poolside, for both Saturday and Sunday, we were fortunate to have Renzo as our server. Renzo was top notch! He was friendly, professional, hyper-attentive, personable and helpful. He even remembered our order from the prior day. Camela, Renzo's sister, was a doll and wonderful! She was super friendly and helpful. She kept us well hydrated. As for pricing, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for... amazing service, outstanding food and convenience = higher prices. If you're staying at the Montage and lounging by the pool, you definitely have to try their poolside service.

I'm hands down addicted to the blackened tofu, especially on the tacos!!! They are delicious. Not to mention the sweet potato fries! BOMB.com I can't leave this review without giving a shout out to the amazing Team. Under Paul and Cody's Leadership, the entire crew from Jessica, to Saul, Ruby, and the list goes on and on but seriously the entire team is amazing. Trust me, give this place a try and you won't be disappointed.

Excellent service, amazing food with a beautiful view. The shrimp ceviche, chicken tortilla soup and grilled fish tacos were fantastic.

Currently this is the only place that was open for lunch at the Montage in Laguna Beach. We decided to take my dear friend out for her birthday lunch and it was so beautiful to be out! It was definitely a mini vacation for us at least for a couple hrs. It is pricey but worth the view and atmosphere. Go there early to make sure you get a table.

This place is great to have lunch at on the patio on a sunny day. The food is delicious, a little pricey but you're basically paying for the ambiance.

We were there on Sunday afternoon. Not too busy. Service really slow. Overpriced food. My burger was dry, French fries really hard to eat... we had to ask for a drink menu, for napkins, for utensils. Are you serious? The only good thing was the view

Alec G was my server and he was beyond Amazing!!! and he took care of me like no one else!!! This place has the best views and ambiance!!! The vibe was awesome. If you really want to impress someone, come here!!! The lobster nachos were the best! The drinks were also top tier!

Came in for lunch and drinks with a few friends. Haley took such good care of us. She was very attentive, polite, and accommodating. She even brought over an umbrella as the sun shifted throughout our lunch. The appetizers are fabulous, we started with the chicken nachos and ordered some ceviche later on. The lobster quesadilla is a must have. If you're in south laguna, this is the place to go to enjoy an ocean view and soak in the sun with delicious food and drinks. Make sure you ask for Haley on the weekends!

Had a Terrible experinence in this restaurant today,the manager is very rude and disrespectful person,though one day before we checked that the restaurant was first come first serve basis,the whole restauarant was empty he was not giving us a table and was making us wait.It's a shame for such a high class hotel restaurant.Never recommemd to anyone else.

Leaving this review for the spa pool: Luis and Jose and everyone who worked the spa pool on 5/27/22 made my experience phenomenal. Luis and Jose were the two employees I interacted with the most and their customer service is top notch! They're very personable, fast, and efficient and they go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. I can't wait to return and I hope to have these two gentlemen serve me again.

Dont waist your time here! They need to do a way better job on customer service and attention to detail. Food was ok. We order the donuts as the dessert but for $14 they look good but taste was a no no.

Great service! Hotel and restaurant! Very good food (lobster rolls were fantastic!) Incredible ocean view! Had an overall very pleasurable brunch for the wife's Bday! After lunch you can walk cliff side or make it down to the beach. Highly recommend this place!

Nice and relaxing outdoors seating with a lovely views of the beach. Food and service was great! A little on the pricey side, for the drinks is fairly small size but definitely love the vibes, the view and the chill ambience here. The restaurant is right by the resort pool, when we had our lunch here there was a musician playing/singing some reggae music that we got to enjoy on the background as well. That was really nice!

Huge portions. The staff had the service you expect from a restaurant at a 5 star resort. Beautiful views. Food was alright but nothing great for the price. Not mad about the choice but also not impressed.

So disappointed in the food. $100 later for 2 people. The salmon Caesar salad was not fresh. The salmon had no seasoning, so bland. I could have made my own salad. I frequent this place often, but it seems during this pandemic they got lazy and sloppy.

The service and view were fantastic (thus the two stars), but I'm confused about the quality of the food. With all the available resources and accessible expenses, they serve paying customers expensive and tasteless food? Hmm. Sounds like this place is just fo' sho'. My family and I ordered the arnold palmer, calamari, blackened halibut sandwich, mosaic tacos, teriyaki chicken sandwich, and sweet potato fries. Most of the food arrived cold or at room temperature, and everything except for the calamari was flavorless. We left disappointed and dissatisfied.

I live in town and use to come here all the time. Unfortunately the food is now horrible and the drinks way over priced. My ceviche was mostly smashed up avocado and no mango and very little fish. The chips were horrible. I've had better food at Taco Bell and I hate Taco Bell. The garnishes in our drinks looked old. My friend had a wedding here today and I dropped in while they were getting ready. All the food they brought in was blah and boring. Very disappointed. The food had no flavor and was horrible. Drinks were so so. The positive is the view and live music.

The only thing I enjoyed about this restaurant was the view. The food and drinks were extremely underwhelming and did not reflect the quality one expects with their high prices. The tables are way too short for the height of the chairs and I had to bend over my entire meal so my back was hurting by the time we finished. On top of everything, the valet was $25 which is apparently the discounted price for dining at Montage, usually it's $60. The Ritz Carltons valet is only $8 and the restaurants are way better with an even nicer view, so I know where I'll be going in the future.

Excellent food and views. Great ambiance. The ocean views are great and service is on point. Highly recommend our favorite server, Saul. Went there every day of our 8 days. Especially enjoy the shrimp cocktail with extra horse radish on the side and the Pole bowl has excellent Ahi tuna.

I absolutely enjoyed my dinner in this beautiful restaurant. Although their menu selection is quite limited, I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the variety of food items on the menu. The menu serves anything from Ahi tuna bowl to nachos and filet mignon. See pictures. Outdoor seating only. The view is spectacular onto the garden and the ocean. There is life entertainment on the weekends as well

I came here for my birthday at the beginning of the month with my dad and we had such a lovely time. This was our first time going out for food since March, and I couldn't have imagined a more amazing experience. We had a 5pm reservation. They are operating completely outside, and the water, and view is GORGEOUS! The servers are wearing masks and gloves and they were very efficient. We ordered two salads, an order of calamari and two cocktails. The calamari was incredible and we both remarked that even the Caesar salad was delicious! You could tell the dressing was fresh and full of nutty parmesan flavors. This was our first time at Mosaic, and we will definitely be back!

Mosaic Bar & Grille is our favorite lunch spot in Laguna Beach. My husband and I love the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, which are huge. I also really like the salads and my husband really enjoys the tuna poke. The service is also outstanding, especially Saul who is extremely attentive who always appears at the  perfect time to take orders and pour wine. Highly recommend!

View is extremely nice. But rest of the experience WAY below expectations. The food, drinks were SO mediocre and ridiculously expensive ($8 for watered down iced tea, $32 for lousy fish tacos). And there was loud Caribbean music (a guy playing steel drums) that cheapened the experience. Waiter friendly and polite. And with validation, parking was $25 plus tip for valet. Total rip-off.

Loved the view and ambience and live music! but dining experience was horrible! our waiter was great but no sure what was going on with the kitchen staff. Food was cold and fish was undercooked. The food took over an hour to come. Not recommend!

It is a beautiful place to grab a bite with a gorgeous ocean view. We ordered a turkey sandwich and shrimp tacos. The food was good. The only thing was the wait - on that day they had only one kitchen serving the bar and the pool area, that's why our order came out only 45-50 minutes after. But they were nice and gave us some chips and salsa so that we can munch on and also validated our parking. It was very very nice from the staff to do that. If we are in the area, we will definitely stop by again.

Nice spot at a gorgeous hotel. The food is solid. The service is excellent. The views are insane. Good mix. And, the fresh cold pressed juices are not to be missed.

Huge shout out to Nick and Tyler for their amazing bloody marry skills and great conversation. Was so nice to have such fantastic service and even get greater with champagne after my boyfriend proposed on the beach! Thank you so much for helping us celebrate and making a great day even better!

My husband and I take our 2.5 year old daughter down to Mosaic quite often, as she loves to visit the "Ochen"! The entire staff at the resort is incredible, but the staff at Mosaic always goes above and beyond! The food is wonderful, their Blackened Tofu makes a great addition to their Caesar salad or substituted for the fish in their tacos! Saul is the kindest and always makes sure we are taken care of! Cody does a great job managing the flow and ensuring the guests are having a great experience! And the view...you cannot beat it! The overall experience is worth every penny! Highly recommend for family lunch, happy hour, or a special Friday day date!
