Moshi Moshi Knife Sharpening

Dropped off three knives to be sharpened by Michael. He could not be more professional. Drop-off by appointment, excellent with communication, provides cost in advance of service, obtaining your approval, no surprises. He quotes by the inch to be sharpened. Reasonable rates. Michael is good at his craft. Great local small business. Tell your friends and neighbors!

Of course, my knife came ridiculously sharp. I’ve been having so much more fun in the kitchen just because of it. More unexpectedly, Michael is a really nice guy. He’s friendly and always looking for an opportunity to answer questions and give recommendations. And as a cherry on top, it’s reasonably cheap and fast. The work got done under a week. What more can you ask for?!

I scheduled a knife sharpening lesson as a surprise for my husband, and I don't think I'll ever be able to pull off a better surprise for him again because Michael set the bar too high. He LOVED it. Michael spent two hours with him, teaching him a bunch of sharpening techniques and other knife-related things. Michael is super friendly, personable, easygoing yet professional. Communicating with him beforehand was never an issue, and he was always quick to respond to my questions. Run, don't walk, to Moshi Moshi for all of your sharpening needs! He does rug-cutting scissors too!!

Got some of our knives sharpened by Michael, fabulous work and great studio! He is quick, professional, so friendly, and very good at his craft. So glad to have a local small business like Moshi Moshi to support the long life of our cooking knives.

Dropped two chefs knives, a pairing knife and a pocket knife at Moshi Moshi and picked them up today. Michael is/was super cool, chill and friendly. His prices are very reasonable and he has some knives for sale in his shop. Pictured is some newspaper I cut with the knives when I got them home. Newspaper is not easy to cut cleanly, as it tears easily, so to cut multiple slivers this close together... "Holy s&$@ these are super sharp". Thanks Michael/Moshi Moshi.

I'm a pretty serious home cook and I had tried sharpening my own knives a few times with a whetstone. I thought I had done a decent job until I took my knives to Moshi Moshi. Everything came back blazing sharp, almost dangerously sharp! I forgot how pleasing it is to have a super sharp knife do the work for you. Michael delivers joy in the kitchen, at a great price too! Having a loaner knife made it convenient to drop off all my knives at once. Seamless process!

Michael always does a fantastic job sharpening our knives. He’s also communicative, affordable, and helpful in giving us tips on how to make our knives last longer between sharpenings.
