The Best Late-Night Restaurants In South Beach

"Open 24 Hours For late night sushi, all roads lead to Moshi Moshi on Española Way. Is it our favorite sushi spot in town? No. But it’s open 24 hours, and it’ll do the trick if you’re craving crispy rice or a spicy tuna roll when it’s past most people’s bedtime. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and also do takeout." - ryan pfeffer

Best Sushi in Miami... great vibe, great location, right in the middle of the action, but the food is excellent, fast and great service. Highly recommend. Pretty budget friendly for South Beach too. We did both sushi and ramen, loved both.

So far this is my fav spot in Miami! The food is delicious and the prices are great. Extremely nice and attentive staff. These people will never leave your table unattended but will also make sure you have that privacy since they have those comfy booths with enough space for 4 people. I loved that it wasn’t overcrowded and the music was not too loud. Their food is so delicious and I enjoyed mimosas. Very very nice. We had sushi, which were served with REAL wasabi (I could tell since it was definitely spicy), amazing steak (although the mashed potatoes could use some heating ), nice takoyaki and my favorite of them all - shrimp buns (I love fried shrimp with fresh veggies). I don’t know how but the miso soup was the best I ever had. My bf had an interesting tasty fresh sake cocktail and a beer+warm sake drink. Thank you!!!

Google
The service was great, very friendly and attentive. And all the rolls we ordered were fresh and yummy! Definitely a high recommend.

Food was great, especially happy hour in mid-afternoon, where alcohol is $4 and selected sushi platters are at $10

I live nearby and I come to Moshi Moshi very often. The servers are very nice (especially Jessy) and the fried rice here is great! I am giving this place 5 stars because of the food and the service by the servers. However, there are some managers here that don’t seem to be very welcoming. We asked to sit outside one night and the manager (Sato I believe) said the tables were reserved (it was not busy and there were about 5 tables open outside). Another night I ordered for pickup and my order was not prepared properly. When I asked the manager (Freddie I believe) to fix my order, he replied with “It’s already made”. Pretty surprising coming from the manager. Other than the unfortunate events with the managers, this place is great.

Great place that’s open late in Miami! The fried rice selections are so good! Definitely add it to your list. Shoutout to Jessy for the great service!

Absolutely delicious wagyu ramen and skewer (robata testing). The service was friendly and timely. Relatively affordable and good portions. Will come back!!

Yelp
Marie is the best server there on south beach location she was very nice respectful and helpful in anything we have asked ! She made my experience really nice. Thank you!!!!$

Yelp
Great Japanese food in south beach! Roland was amazing & super helpful. Recommend mango sake drink!

Yelp
After asking around, while visiting Miami Beach, Moshi Moshi was the winner for late night sushi! One local even advised us about their promo for crispy rice on Uber eats! So we ordered the bogo promo on Uber eats for the crispy rice and a few other rolls. The prices were great in general, but especially Miami! The rolls were fresh and delicious also! And how awesome is it to get something at a great price and yummy at 2 am! I was bummed that they didn't honor the bogo Crispy rice when I ordered two and expected four and the language barrier made it a hard discussion, so I took it up with Uber eats. But that didn't stop me for ordering another late night/early morning (4 am) sushi the next day, where I tried the promo again and ordered one crispy rice and did receive two. Promo or not, this place is a great option!

Yelp
Honestly my favorite spot in Miami, they're literally always open. Till almost 5 am you know how amazing it is after a night out with your friends? The service is quick, the ambience is nice and calm and it's always just perfect. I get the yellow tail all the times! Paired with their delicious chicken fried rice The beach one is my favorite cause it's just a cute spot you can walk around and get some ice cream for dessert although they already have a ton of options for dessert.

Yelp
My wife and I came to Moshi Moshi for our anniversary weekend as we stayed on the beach, and wow it was phenomenal. My ramen was spicy, savory and delicious, I'd definitely get it again. But the real winner... was the salmon. It was one of the best meals I've had in a while, it came with roasted broccoli which was superb and a homemade mash potato, also yummy. Check this place out ASAP!!

Yelp
i am so happy to have found you! One of the best food spots in South beach area. Came here with my girlies and enjoyed everything. On our way to a cruise we had lunch, mimosas and leftovers. The kimchee fried rice was excellent. The flavors going on up in their fantastic. Next comes the fried shrimp again perfect. Accompanied by a chipotle aioli for dipping oh my! So good. Everything was 5 stars and the young ladies helping us was kind and on it! Our drinks never were empty ! I literally can't wait to come back. I don't need any other places to eat but this one! Standing ovation here!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Really enjoyed our meal at Moshi Moshi! We've been eating here on most yearly visits to South Beach and they never disappoint!! It is tucked away next to some *bigger and louder* restaurants. So if you're looking for a more quiet eatery just pop inside to eat instead of sitting at their outdoor seating. The Happy Hour menu has a nice mix of drinks and food items! We tried 4 of them (see pics) and now I want to try the rest of them! Server and staff were all very attentive and friendly! Definitely looking to going back in our next trip. Note: the dry beer was very refreshing in my opinion, I'm generally not a beer drinker especially if it's heavily hoppy...but this one was not. The Sangria was nice and sweet with a good amount of fruit!

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of Moshi Moshi! It's such an adorable and relaxed spot to hang out at, especially late at night since they're open until 3 AM. They don't serve alcohol, but they have a great selection of wine, champagne, and sake. And let's talk about the food - it's all amazing! The shrimp was so plump and flavorful. Seriously, Moshi Moshi is a must-visit in Miami!

Yelp
Best spot for sushi on South Beach. Prices are decent and service was outstanding! Warning: if you get a booth you will be sitting crossed legged on the floor in your socks. It's not a bad thing, just harder for bigger and older people (like myself). Give it a try!
google avatar

Yelp
Every single thing we got was so delicious!! You can see from the pictures the size of the signature rolls which were the moshi moshi roll and the unagi tomago roll - compared to the traditional shrimp tempura roll. The signature rolls are HUGE! We also got the chicken yaki soba noodles dish since the person we were with doesn't really like sushi and it was just as good! The service was really nice. We had a great waiter who was very attentive. You can sit in regular tables or booths. In the booth you have to take off your shoes which I thought was a cool touch. First time l have come here but I will definitely be going back. The table behind us got the crunchy rice roll and they said it was excellent , with that said I definitely know what I will be ordering next time!

Yelp
Decent sushi, good prices for Miami Beach, good customer service and conveniently open when other restaurants weren't. I would likely visit here again for a quick lunch stop.

Yelp
This is a GEMMM of a place. The red dragon roll had to be the best roll of my life (i am a sushi lover and this has topped EVERYTHING)!!!! The food was incredible and when I tell you it literally came out 5 minutes after ordering-and look at all of the food me and my boyfriend got. The service was incredible, Marie did an excellent job- water was always filled, always being checked on, and food came out very quickly. She did an excellent job and packed up my ramen for me. Definetly check this place out if you're looking for good quick service in miami- also it's open till 5 am. Great place.

Yelp
Juliana was on her FEET. She catered to us and checked in. A very efficient server. The food was absolutely amazing, I highly reccomend Moshi Moshi and Juliana as your server!!
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
Such a cute little place on south beach with seats outside but inside is so gram-worthy so highly recommend checking it out. The sushi rolls were decent and they had a really good selection: the portions were massive. But what you cannot beat here is the happy hour! Omg, it is so cheap for drinks and food during happy hour. Our bill was embarrassingly cheap for all we ate and drank. Service was super attentive too.
google avatar

Jasmin H.

Yelp
Awesome Happy Hour prices and items! Their Lychee Sake Cocktail is the bomb. If you are into Sake or not it's a must try. The Sushi and Rolls are fresh. Great location!

Yelp
Not only was this place open late, it was also extremely great and can't wait to visit again when back in Miami. The service was awesome and friendly. From the front staff to the waiters, just all ensure you're having a good time. The food was very good! The pork buns, the sushi rolls, and the ramen. Great menu options and all extremely well made. It's also dim lit and has a certain intimate ambiance that closes the night out very well. I highly recommend coming here after some late night bar hopping or just to have a casual late night dinner with your friends. 10/10 and will def be back! See y'all party animals there!

Yelp
Awesome place for a late night craving after partying in Miami. Food was great the soup was on point. Service and ambience was awesome. I had a lovely time there after my girls night out with my girls.

Yelp
My husband and I have been searching for an amazing spot for Japanese food since coming back from Japan. This did not disappoint! I fell in love with takoyaki in Japan and this is the most authentic I've had, if not better than the ones I had in Japan! It's a must try! We also had the dragon roll(not in the photo) and it was amazing! My husband had the pork gyoza and grilled shrimp and said it was some of the best as well! Our waitress was very sweet and made sure to check on us consistently, also we loved the traditional seating as an option! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I stumbled upon Moshi Moshi looking for a sushi place for Sunday night dinner. We actually happened to be walking by on our way to another restaurant and the menu as well as some of the plates of sushi on the tables outside caught our eye. What a great find considering they are open until 5:00 a.m. and have a happy hour with $4 cocktails from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. 7 days a week! The menu has a lot of Asian fusion items including ramen, noodles, sushi, and fried rice. There's something for everyone. My two friends felt like noodles and I felt like sushi so this was the perfect spot for us. The sushi was really fresh and they had a good combination of traditional roles and unique roles. One of the more traditional type sushi rolls was the crispy rice which came with six pieces and the rice on the bottom was not fried all the way around. It was a long piece of rice which was fried on all sides and then cut into six pieces, so the individual pieces were not fried on the sides where it was cut. We liked the preparation this way because it seems like a more appropriate level of crunch than some of the other crispy rices we've gotten in the past where the crispy rice is a little TOO crispy because it's fried on all sides. One of the rather unique roles I tried was a salmon lychee roll and the sweet and savory combination was unusual yet delicious. Higjly recommend! I also ordered a couple pieces of sashimi, which were of ample size, but they only come one to an order so they're a bit pricey. The service was fantastic! Super attentive and perfectly timed, and they took away the empty dishes quickly to make room for all of the stuff we ordered. We sat outside so I didn't get a chance to check out the inside, and the ambiance for the outdoor tables is to be expected from sidewalk tables. The tables are not in an enclosed area so there's a lot of people walking by which makes for good people watching but isn't necessarily intimate or private. Pricing is as expected in South Beach, definitely not cheap but not super expensive either. Sashimi runs $3 to $6 per piece depending on what you get, while most roles were in the teens. Our bill came out to about $80 per person including drinks and including tip (18% included). I would highly recommend Moshi Moshi if you're looking for a casual sushi or Asian spot with a large menu selection. We will certainly be returning quite often for late night bites and happy hour!

Yelp
Soooo fresh! We got the shrimp tempura and salmon roll. Both super fresh and came out in less than 10 minutes. The service is fast & has friendly staff. The ambiance is nice, you can people watch while sitting outside, theres a lot of people walking, music playing, miami being miami. This is a cashless restaurant so plan ahead!

Yelp
Sushi was really disappointing. Poorly made, the crab role had generic crab salad on it. Would not recommend.
google avatar

Najwa G.

Yelp
The best part about Moshi Moshi is that it's one of the few spots open late night in South Beach. Don't expect the quality of a late night sushi place to be great, but it wasn't bad either. Just play it safe with classic rolls versus any specialty rolls and you'll be good!
google avatar

Ann I.

Yelp
Food was yummy! I had the wagyu beef fried rice. My complaint was the amount of beef given. I had a heaping pile of rice but only 6 small pieces of beef, 2 of which were all fat. The 4 pieces I had were delicious but not worth the amount I paid. I ended up eating the rest of the rice with the shrimp wontons. Those were delicious as well and aptly priced. sErvice and ambiance.. A+. Would I go again? Yup, but I probably won't be getting the fried rice.
google avatar

Kathleen R.

Yelp
These are the biggest sushi rolls I've ever seen! They offer plenty of vegan options, though it'd be even better if they were clearly marked. I've been to both this location and the one up by 79th st, which has a more extensive menu, but I still found lots of choices here. I went for the vegetable roll and seaweed salad - both delicious. The decor gives off a Japanese dining vibe, complete with tables where you take off your shoes to sit. There was even a tableside magician, adding to the entertainment. Service was helpful, and I was amazed at how quickly the food arrived!

Yelp
I recently ordered delivery from Moshi Moshi in Miami, and it was a letdown, especially considering the price. The packaging was a disaster, resulting in a messy presentation of the sushi, which detracted from the overall experience. The most disappointing part was the spoiled Uni, which, at $10 per piece, is simply inexcusable. This issue appears to be a recurring problem based on other reviews I've read. The restaurant's claim of offering authentic Japanese cuisine felt misleading, as the excessive use of mayonnaise overwhelmed the natural flavors of the sushi, compromising the quality. The ramen we ordered was also a disappointment, lacking the depth of flavor one would expect. The only silver lining was the restaurant's customer service; they issued a refund for the Uni without hesitation when we called to complain. Given the myriad of dining options in Miami, I recommend exploring other sushi restaurants instead of settling for Moshi Moshi. The quality does not justify the price, and the overall experience was underwhelming.

Yelp
If you are in the mood for sushi or other Japanese food, then I would highly recommend Moshi Moshi. They are upon until late at night/early in the morning, which is so convenient for vacation time. The ambience was wonderful! It was dark, but it was well lit in the correct places. The booths (if available) provided some measure of privacy without being too isolated. The food was amazing! We loved everything we tried. From 4p -7p, there is a happy hour menu where certain dishes (like lychee roll and chorizo fried rice) were $10. Drinks (like lychee sake and mango sake) were $4 These prices are amazing! Also, they aren't miniature portions. They are the full sized portion as if you paid full price (unlike other happy hour places). Of the drink menu, we really enjoyed the mango sake. It was a thicker consistency (mango pulp/pureed) with such the perfect amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. Overall, one of the most best places we tried while in town

Yelp
Came here for ramen on a Thursday evening. They are conveniently located and open until VERY late. My mom and I had the ramen and started with the chicken wings. The wings were so good - I highly recommend them! Now for the ramen - the egg was not soft boiled, the pork was too greasy with more fat than meat, and the broth was overly salty. The service was great the ambiance for the restaurant is warm and welcoming, but I couldn't overlook the quality of the ramen unfortunately. I may be back if I am in the area for a late night bite in the future. I should also mention their "booths" have floor seating - very cool! But not my thing at 10pm lol
google avatar

Claudia D.

Yelp
I loved that the tip is already included in your bill and anyone that was available would take your order order or serve your food. It made the whole experience very quick and easy. I also loved sitting outside in the sunny but chilly weather. The sushi was delicious, there's so much more on the menu I'd like to try. The tuna was so fresh and delicious as well.
google avatar

N. Danny S.

Yelp
$4 beers for happy hour, can't go wrong! For my entree I ordered the robata sampler. I really enjoyed this, I love having variety in a meal, so getting like 6 things was great. Don't forget to squeeze the lemons on everything! It really helps bring the flavors through. I liked everything, but the meats were kinda tough and a little over cooked for my preference. I wish you could specify the cook level on these. Service was friendly and attentive. They have both inside and outside seating. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and I will definitely come back again next time!
google avatar

Sofia O.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance and very attentive staff. However the food leaves something to be desired. Hot tea is served in a mug. Food tastes prepackaged. The chicken karaage seems tempura battered. Ramen broth seems to be made same day. Boiled eggs are not marinated nor runny. I've had better but it filled us up. Thank you for the service.
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
Good portions but pretty salty food in my opinion. Ingredients were fresh and the chili oil was interesting, in a good way. It was nutty almost like spicy sesame oil without the sesame smell. I liked it. Our fav was the spicy creamy shrimp(under tempura), it got pecan in it. I imagined it to be like walnut shrimp, which was. Except different nut. Drinks were actually not good, strawberry pocky drink sounded interesting but it wass... not good. Two bathrooms, one is hard to close bc of a curtain. the other has a door indicator telling you whether its in use or vacant (my fav type of indication).
google avatar

Sohan G.

Yelp
Trash sushi I recommend walking up a block and getting authentic sushi from Hiro Sushi. This is definetly drunk food. Sushi servings were small and didn't not taste that great.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick lunch on a trip! It was so busy I didn't even get to see the inside! They say my group outside which was fine. The service was ok! The food was ok! I'd stop back for Ramen!

Yelp
Once again, I wish you could rate with half stars on Yelp because I was really conflicted between 3 or 4 stars for Moshi Moshi. I visited with a group of work friends a couple nights ago and while we did enjoy our visit, we just weren't blown away by the food. We were seated right away upon arriving even though the reservation was for 2 and we showed up a group of 5 - I felt like that was very accommodating! The restaurant is a cute, small spot with fun neon signs for decoration and friendly servers that took good care of us throughout our visit. For the most part, the food was fine to good. The only item I did not continue to eat was the wagyu tacos because the meat was very chewy and the texture wasn't appealing. My favorite item was the fried pork gyoza, which had a salty and savory flavor in a well-cooked dumpling. We tried a lot of other items including nigiri, several sushi rolls (spicy tuna, Moshi Moshi, dragon roll), shishito peppers, ceviche, warm mushrooms, and stone-cooked wagyu. Everyone seemed content with the food, but for me I want my meal to be something special! I want the food to be so yummy that I feel like dancing! Moshi Moshi was a solid meal in a cute spot with good service, it just wasn't great, ya know? Anyway, that's why I'm going with four stars!
google avatar

Levette D.

Yelp
Ordered via Uber Eats. They were moderately priced for Miami. Packaged well. I ordered the 1/2 grilled Lobster and I give it a 3/5. The lobster was seasoned well but a bit overcooked. It came with home made potato purée which unfortunately tasted like boxed potatoes and maitake mushrooms which I'm sure would have been good but mine were cold. I also ordered the risky rice roll with jalapeño and tuna tartare which was cooked to perfection. The rice was perfectly crispy and the tuna was amazing. The combination was a 5/5. All in all I would try other items on the menu but with so many places in Miami to eat I doubt I will likely return.

Yelp
We sat down and ate at 2:30am. WHAT?!! Miami is built different, cause this quality food at that time is unbelievable to me. Firstly, the restaurant is a very cute aesthetic, with dim lighting and neon signs everywhere. Secondly, I went here initially to pick up an Uber Eats delivery order (we just flew in so we were gonna bring it back to our hotel) but after seeing the vibe we wanted IN. The staff was very nice enough to seat us and even serve us when we changed our mind. What's cool about this spot is you can mobile order your food and pay for it on the spot. When I come back to Miami, I'm coming here!
google avatar

Nasha P.

Yelp
It was my first time coming back since the changes. I think it changed owners since I was here last which was like over a year. Now you place the order online with your phone and pay and they bring the food to the table pretty fast and it seems pretty efficient. Both times I've gotten a ramen soup and it was good but the second time it was a bit too salty. Either way I like this place and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Came across Moshi Moshi while heading to Espinola Way. The place is unassuming from the outside. Besides a few tables outside and a menu posted on the door, you could easily miss the restaurant. The interior design is cute with some neon lights and cute backdrops. Walk in and you're greeted by the hostess which will inform you that Moshi Moshi is a cashless and tipless establishment. You do your own order and pay for your food in advance. Ordering involves scanning the QR code posted at each table, adding items to the cart, and checking out. Since you're doing all the work, it makes sense for the place to be tipless. My group came hungry so we ordered an assortment of menu items and dined family style. * Lychee Salmon Roll * Pork Tonkotsu Ramen * Red Dragon Roll * Moshi Moshi Roll * Shrimp Shumai * Tuna Tataki * Mimo Roll Everything was super tasty and portions are quite big. The most unique roll was the Lychee Salmon Roll. I didn't think I would enjoy it, but it turned out pretty tasty. I wouldn't say anything, in particular, was exceptional, but I would say everything was pretty solid and affordable.

Yelp
I LOVED THIS PLACE!!! Liked ! Liked ! Liked ! Liked ! Liked ! Liked ! Liked ! Liked ! Liked ! Liked ! OPEN LATE - this was such a gem of a find at 2am! We'd gone to a club with a good show and horrible food. I was starving but to find this was chef's kiss!!! Delicious food Disliked - Disliked - Disliked - Disliked - Disliked - Disliked - Disliked - Edamame was dry.. still good and edible but I'm used to it being a little juicier. The Bao buns where too hard/tough. The fillings' flavor was delicious, especially the crispy shrimp. The texture was like the perfect crisp and the sauce and veggies were yum I was really greatful for this late night find. Disliked / Disliked / Disliked / Disliked / Disliked / Disliked / That there is not one in ATLANTA!! Hahaha There wasn't really much I disliked during my visit. It was an in and out experience, delicious food and I raved about it later.

Yelp
Loved the vibes and colors! Staff was welcoming from the moment we opened the front door and they were attentive throughout our time there. They also have a few traditional tatami booths, which makes for a more fun and unique experience. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. Their ramen broth lacked depth and their sushi quality was grocery store-grade.

Le H.

Yelp
I'd give this place 0 stars if I could . I ordered from Uber eats , My order was almost $100 for 3 items . I asked my driver to get some Siracha since there was no option on Uber eats (to go with my shrimp fried rice ) . They refused the request and told him I had to order it on Uber eats . I called to speak with a manager and he seemed to not care . I think it's absolutely ridiculous that they couldn't provide Siracha after I spent $100 and ordered fried rice . The food was mediocre and the rice was salty. I'll never order from this establishment again . I am big on customer service and this is very disappointing

Yelp
Vacationing in Miami for a few days the best thing about it was the food!!! And Moshi Moshi didn't disappoint!! Delish sushi, great service, decent prices, and the area that it's in is very eclectic with shops all around!! Wonderful area to walk and dine in!!

Hanan R.

Yelp
Not sure what the hype is about.. dragon roll was awful, first time I had a smelly shrimp tempura. Yaki soba noodles were lacking all kinds of flavor and seasoning. The jb tempura roll was actually good. Place was pretty empty when I went and I still ended up waiting almost a half hour for my to-go order.

Yelp
I came here on a night where the weather was bad and wanted some nice warm food. We were seated quickly in a cozy ambiance. Our waiter came and gave us water and was nice. Our food was okay, but nothing to brag about. One thing that sucks is that you're not able to pay in cash here
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
A cozy, reasonably priced Japanese restaurant open late. I had the ramen and some sushi. The ramen was okay-- not the most flavorful or authentic. I would recommend going with their sushi which was good for the cost.

Yelp
Traveled cross country to come to this restaurant. Just kidding. But it sure felt like that when I finally landed in Miami. Took a cut rate flight, from California to Miami and the flight was not only long, change of planes in Chicago, but also after midnight arrival and even later than that. Not amused. My layover in Chicago was supposed to be 1 hour and 16 minutes, instead it was 15 minutes. No time for the bathroom and no time for food. Kinda pissed really. However, how upset can you really be when you know that your final destination is going to be Miami? And because the airline got me safely to my destination, I will forgive them. It was an all day flight, running through airports with luggage, bags, purse, security check, different airports...hat etc..made for a very frenetic day. On top of that, I had had no replenishment of my daily needs. By 3:30AM I finally acquired the rental car which blossomed into a van, (how'd that happen???).... so now I'm driving a "schoolbus". Still really can't complain about anything except for the fact that I was: Famished, Anxious, AND Tired Every cafe, restaurant, every possible place was closed for the day, CERRADO. FINITO. It was either order food to be delivered or go hunt for some. I opted for the HUNT. Found out that the the good ole Moshi Moshi was still open & ready for my business. They were pretty much the only ones left. I would have had to leave Miami Beach to find someplace else and I wasn't willing to go that far. Good Ole Moshi Moshi... after 25+ no maybe close to 35+ years... they are still here and still serving fantastic asian food even to this day. Almost a 24 hour food place. Or at least serving until 4AM. How many restaurants in Miami Beach can honestly say that?

Yelp
I had a huge crispy rice craving which led me to come here. It was worth it and the service was great. I came at happy hour and ordered the salmon crispy rice, lump crab roll, and a sangria- total with tip was $30.

Yelp
Touchless and cashless restaurant. Moshi Moshi uses a QR code for you to review menu options and to place an order. Right next to Espanola Way. Outdoor and indoor dining. Neon lit interior with cute signs like, Hello Gorgeous. Open late. Limited sushi options. Ordered the sushi platter for 2 with brown rice. The brown rice tasted very gluttonous and the fish was only ok. Not as fresh as I would have preferred.
