Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this spot, especially after visiting QABH several times. I was excited for this location to open since we live on the Eastside, so I came to check it out recently with five friends.
The food is definitely not as good as the Queen Anne location, and the portions are tiny! We got the corned beef, and it was maybe 2 oz of meat -- I mean, it was a total rip-off for $20! I was shocked. Inflation is real, I guess.
But really, it's the service that disappointed me the most. The waitress would come to our table, ask if we were doing okay, take one person's drink order, and then leave -- never asking if anyone else needed anything or coming back to check on us. This was especially surprising since we spent $250 just on alcohol. I honestly regret leaving a tip. She even seemed surprised when we did -- after we paid through Toast, she hit "no tip" and said, "You don't need to tip?" Afterward, I wondered if the tip was already included -- in which case I definitely shouldn't have left cash.
That said, I do like the space more than the Queen Anne location -- it's bigger, nicer, and still dog-friendly, which is a plus. But the service and food portions really fell short. Honestly, the service at QABH has always been mediocre too -- but at least the food there is amazing!
