Fabulous accommodation, cosy rooms, comfy beds, very well appointed . Room is serviced and refreshed daily. Restaurants and Bars are on your doorstep. Short walk to ferry and tourist attractions. Salamanca Place Saturday markets are outside the door, lots to look at, food lovers paradise. Shopping is a 5 minute stroll to town. There is a fresh food/fruit and vegetable market/store a few doors up with everything you need. You can’t beat the location. Only downside is no parking on site, it’s a short stroll away and no room service. All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and accommodating . Would stay here again in a heartbeat .

My partner and I stayed for two nights and the pod room was just gorgeous!! We loved the greenery and rustic look. With modern technology in the room, it made it feel stay feel seamless. Bed was comfy, air cooled very easily and the cute apples were a nice touch. Big shout out to Tina who checked us out. She was super lovely and we had a sweet chat :)

We stayed at the Moss hotel for a week whilst visiting Hobart and were very pleased with the whole venue. The room was very well presented albeit,slightly"tired" and the staff were excellent. Although the area at Salamanca is busy and at times slightly noisy,our room was quiet & the king-sized bed was very,very comfortable.The hotel manager was great, he took the time to help us with hand drawn directions that were spot on & we could not fault the place.. a special "thumbs up"to Sheila at reception who did an| excellent job. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at Hotel Moss. Despite submitting a formal complaint to Hyatt, I have yet to receive a response. During my stay, I encountered several issues: - Broken Toilet Seat: The toilet seat in my room was broken. - Poor Housekeeping: The room was dusty throughout my stay. - Lack of Globalist Recognition: As a Globalist member of the Hyatt loyalty program, I was not offered any upgrade, despite this being a standard benefit. In fact, hotel staff seemed unfamiliar with the Globalist tier, referring to me simply as a "guest from Hyatt." The manager on duty informed me that they had never awarded any guests upgrades and even informed me he had a similar issue with a previous guest. It seems that with the recent Hyatt acquisition, the policies for upgrades will need to be reviewed with the team. - Disruptive Housekeeping: Every morning, housekeeping staff were extremely loud while working, even in hallways where the "Do Not Disturb" sign was clearly displayed on neighboring doors. - Unfulfilled Housekeeping Request: I requested housekeeping service at 12:00 PM and called down upon our departure from the room to ensure we would come back to a clean room. To my disappointment, upon returning to the room at 8:00 PM, it had not been serviced. Positive Aspects: - Friendly Reception Staff: The reception staff were friendly and acknowledged that the condition of the room was unacceptable for the price paid ($660). - Excellent Location: The hotel's location is excellent. - Comfortable Bed: The bed was comfortable. - Welcome Gift: I received a bottle of champagne as a welcome gift, which is a standard practice. However, the significant issues I encountered during my stay significantly impacted my overall experience and made it not worth the price.

Superb location in Hobart on Salamanca alongside the harbour. A beautifully styled and appointed hotel, with all the practical things you need in the room and in top class boutique hotel style. Even the smaller rooms were spacious. Cool and creatively stocked minibar. Near to restaurants and shops with the buzz of Salamanca but not noisy when you wanted to sleep.

Love love love the Moss. What an architectural gem. In the heart of Hobart and surrounded by shops and restaurants. The hotel boasts of character, warmth and the rooms are built up to the highest quality. Heated bathroom floors and thick wool carpets just want to make you stay .

MOSS Hotel was a lovely place to stay for one night in Hobart. Centrally located, with a clean and beautiful room and comfy bed. Our windows were double glazed, so absolutely no noise was heard overnight. It was somewhat difficult to locate, however the team did message 24 hours before to assist with finding the building, and parking was a little bit of a walk, but is expected given the location. Would stay here again.

Moss Hotel is a small super trendy super central hotel in Hobart. There are two locations near but not exactly next to one another. Check if you are booked into 25 or 39 Salamanca Place. Green walls dripping in ferns line the lobby and little spaces around the hotel. Subtle lighting and dark mossy colours plus big comfy beds create a calm and quiet environment right in the middle of Salamanca Place. Just outside there are many restaurants and cafes. The Mona ferry is almost at your door.
