Stopped by this place unplanned after a concert at the Chapel, then got amazed by their Taco al Pastor and el Califa - Simply delicious! In addition, staff are friendly and the vibe is nice. A bit pricey but could be a great place to hang out with a small group of friends.

Great drinks, excellent tequila selection. Food is only okay. Maybe because we were at the end of the night but the tacos were a bit dry.

Food was meh, the tacos were not special, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere is good.

Best Carnitas taco I’ve eaten in a good long while. We discussed Mezcal varietals and had a nice sampling of the top shelf as part of the visit. Knowledgeable staff about tequilas and mezcals!

Cannot describe how happy I am this places exists. The good the drinks the vibe the service were all 10/10. In a place of overhyped bars, Mosto is worth all the hype.

Fantastic happy hour spot, especially on a Tuesday. Delicious margaritas and even better al pastor tacos. The space is small but we've never had a problem getting seated pretty quickly, especially if you don't mind sitting at the bar. Not recommended for larger groups. Service is friendly and efficient.

A solid HH spot for taco tuesday and cocktails. I've never been to a bar/restaurant with a taco grill right at the bar! It was really fun to watch them putting in taco orders while making libations. This spot is VERY busy, they have indoor and outdoor seating and trust me, almost always the tables are filled. Service is definitely on the slower side here, but totally understandable because of how packed this spot gets. Their tacos are small but VERY good and tons of flavors. I would also recommend getting their guac and chips...AMAZING and they give A LOT of guac.

The service was amazing super friendly bartender. We had micheladas (best ice found here in the city) the Al pastor tacos were delicious as well! Over we had a great time at Mosto we'll definitely be back soon!

I'm usually fine paying a lot of money for good food or ambiance but Mosto is not one of those places. We came here for a light dinner and was craving Al pastor tacos. So between two ppl we thought three Al pastor tacos, shrimp cocktail and a beer should probably be enough. The tacos were $5.50 a piece so i just assumed they were gonna be normal sized. But to my dismay when the "tray" of tacos came, my jaw dropped when i saw three teacup miniature sized tacos that look like they came out of those miniature food cooking videos on Instagram/tiktok. I actually thought our server was playing a joke on us bc this wouldn't even be enough to feed a small toddler. See the photo below, one taco was only slightly bigger in diameter than a saltine cracker. at this point I'm thinking, these tacos must be the best Al pastor tacos outside of Mexico seeing as how i am paying $16.50 for three bites. But again not the case. They were just okay and I was left wishing I went to chipotle or even Taco Bell instead. Also to add... at this price point I would much prefer Tacko or Nicks crispy tacos, which to be honest are more delicious and also better value. The shrimp cocktail was not bad but for $13.50 I expected it to at least come with some chips or crackers placed on a dish instead of a few packaged saltines. The service was good (hence I gave them 2 stars otherwise it'd be 1) but I wish they had warned me abt the size of the tacos. I will def not be coming back here as the standout item at Mosto was the saltines and I can get those at Walgreens for $3.

You have to make time in your schedule for happy hour at Mosto! Visited twice s both on Mondays at 6 o'clock and found seating immediately and their simple happy hour menu makes the choice easy! It's easy to chat across the table or meet people at the bar. Also would be a cute spot for an intimate birthday party or a first-drink-of-the-night spot for a date. The space itself is pretty small (5ish tables and bar seating by the window). The bathroom is inside tacolicious btw!

The green eyed guy that worked today during happy hour (Blaine I think is his name) has been the only welcoming and nice guy working at this place. He was busy but he was paying attention to the customers the whole time. Even trying to speak Spanish for latino customers. I love the food at this place but honestly the service is terrible. As a part of the LGBT+ Community never feel welcomed when I come to this place because of the attitude of the servers except for the one that I just mentioned. I don't like to complain but I think that the entire staff should learn about service from this server/bartender that I mentioned. I'm leaving a 1 star review so you can pay attention to this review but definitely 5 starts to this guy for his excellent service.

This is a solid Taco Tuesday spot! Al pastor tacos are $2 each every Tuesday 5-7pm. The al pastor here is super flavorful, tender, and juicy. I wasn't even planning on getting too many tacos, but I easily ended up eating seven tacos. The happy hour margaritas are decent, although not too memorable or highly exceptional. Each table also gets some complimentary fried chickpeas, which the server refilled for us automatically once we were running low. One thing I wish I had known earlier was how clubby the vibe here was. I came here to catch up with some friends, and we found it a bit difficult to hear each other over the loud music that was blasting. So don't come here expecting a chill, low-key ambiance, and you'll be just fine! All in all though, we still had a great time and devoured way too many tacos.

Mosto is first come first serve. Great spot for a group hang out. It can get busy so come early to score a table. I went to al pastor heaven and died because their Al pastor is so freaking FIRE. I ordered 2 and ended up ordering 3 more because it was that tasty! My only mistake was not making it to Mosto for happy hour!

Came to Mosto on a Sunday evening after a mezcal tasting event, as they were having a "post-event after party" with discounted drinks and cocktails. It was super packed so we grabbed seating outside near some heating lamps. We grabbed a few mezcal shots, which came with spiced orange slices, as well as the tacos for our group. We also grabbed hamburgers (which came with chips) and quesadilla (came in two a plate). For the taco and quesadilla plates, it came with their house spicy sauce which was delicious. I enjoyed my first trip here at Mosto and will definitely want to come back for good mezcal and mexican food!

dive bar feel with a spit and a grill that serves up TINY, but delicious al pastor tacos. at nearly $5 for each tiny taco, I only find this place worth it on taco tuesday's or during happy hour (weekdays 5-7). Now, they make a mean margarita which are perfectly fresh and balanced, don't be surprised if you end up getting more rounds than you expected- they are that good. I appreciate the roasted chickpea and pepitas that they happily deliver over once you're seated and the service is great. Great date night spot- especially since I never get phone service in there!

Tacos are worth the time spent looking for parking. The guac delish the service was great.

No because I am absolutely obsessed with the Al pastor taco and I'm not sure what to do with my life now. Came here for some very late night grub and it was beyond exactly what I needed. Some of the best tacos I've ever had. I will never ever forget

My favorite place in SF. I just love the energy, the ambience and the vibe of the place. The people here are also so great - Edwards and Jose in particular. The gringa al pastor is to die for. Amazing Mezcal selection. I bring all my friends here. Anyone visiting SF, this is a necessary stop. I feel like it is good quality Mexican food and great experience/ambience without compromising on authenticity. I go here all the time (for the past 2+ years) and it has remained my top favorite spot.

Overcharged and extremely rushed told that the flight was next-door false advertisement as well as overpriced. There is no reason why I should ever pay $90 for eight tacos never going again next time I will go to either a chipotle or a Taco Bell you will be pushed out as soon as you finished as well as overcharged for simple tacos you can get down the street at 24th St. I have never had someone snatched my plate so quickly as I finished will not come back again

Uh huh! Best place for taco Tuesday! Although, I don't even get the tacos! I don't know why I just like coming here on Tuesdays, though...just in case I do want a taco deal! At any rate, it is dark in here with good Mexican style music, and outside seating, and the bar and the serving staff are on their game! The Gringa Al Pastor (quesadilla w pineapple too!) just really melts in my mouth! I add that special salsa to it, and I am in a happy food coma! I end up getting a Michelada (after I've already had their house Margarita) to wash it down... But wait... My friend wants to split the hamburguesa, so we tried that last night as well! As we sat at the bar and watched Jose, toast/grill, that bun, while grilling the cheese with some of the spices... and we watched him grill the cheese with nopales (cactus) in it (for the vegetarian burritos) and sometimes even with the pineapple... We just felt like we were in a five star establishment with front row seats in the kitchen! I just love the vibe here. It just feels like I'm in a club with amazing food and music and cocktails all on a Tuesday night! I don't go to anywhere else on taco Tuesdays... And, like I said, I don't even get tacos! Haha Props to this place here. Edwards, the bartender, always make sure our drinks are made well, as well. We were very pleased with the service here, and I've become a regular over the last six months to a year now, (lost count!), but it's a deffo go to, even though it's on the other side of town for me!

I really enjoyed getting some drinks and a bite to eat at Mosto! I think they were selling Tacolicious food as well, a little confused whether we were eating at Mosto or Tacolicious. We got the strawberry margarita pitcher and my friend also got the Papi Hemmingway (with mezcal). Both were good and pretty strong. The pitcher was enough for 3-4 people, which I'd definitely recommend you get. The food we got was alright. We got the MFC tacos (appetizer), a fried avocado taco, and the asparagus potato taco. The MFC tacos were okay, a 3/5 but the other two solo tacos were good. Unique vegetarian options that had good flavor. I'd recommend this place for some drinks out on Valencia!

Great tequila mezcal bar on Valencia. It's right next to tacolicious so you also see they cutting up the meat for tacos as you are ordering your drinks. FERRO'S LIL DEVIL was super smokey and strong if you're craving that for a drink. It wasn't my favorite but others in the group seemed to enjoy it. If you want something a little lighter I would recommend the SUMMER OF '93. The indoors space is pretty tiny and on the darker side so if you want a different vibe you can sit at one of their outdoor tables. I didn't get any additional tacos this time around but if you're coming here for dinner definitely try a couple to pair with their various cocktails. They also serve beer, wine, and non-alcoholic as well if you're not craving one of their cocktails.

I'm guessing they use tacolicious ingredients, cause my receipt itself said tacolicious. The taco was actually pretty good! The tortilla had plenty of corn oil flavor and the pastor actually stood out. Way smaller and less meat than a usual street taco I get, but overall it actually tastes good. They have a much wider selection of mezcal compared to most places. I like that they list out the tasting notes of every item. While I thought they would have a more rare or esoteric section, they do have a generous array of mezcal profiles. They do play the sound louder than I like. I wish they would lean in more to a cozy atmosphere rather than a nightclub/dive bar, but perhaps thats just me.

Call me a late bloomer but I recently discovered tequila. So when Mosto came out of hibernation due to the pandemic, my friend knew of my love for tequila and suggested we make a visit. My punctual self got here early per usual, why? To score us a table, ayyyyy! You're welcome. Complimentary fried chick peas - so good! I think I had like 3 plates of these Hamburguesa - my friend raved about the sammies here but since they no longer make them, I ordered the hamburguesa. Pleasantly surprised this was perfectly cooked and had good flavor. The housemade chips were very thin and lightly seasoned which were nice Mosto Margarita - refreshing, light on the tequila though Summer of 93 - refreshing, also light on the tequila Overall, food was good, drinks were light-- could've used more tequila, and service was awesome.

I really liked the aguachile and the tamalitos, but I do wish the portions were a tad larger. The cocktails were good, but this was my first time at a tequila bar so it was very cool to have all the options on the back of the menu. It would be nice to get a walkthrough of all the different options, e.g. an explanation of what raicilla or bacanora are. Music was on the louder side, would be nice if it were turned down just a bit. Service was good.

I really enjoyed the tacos here (as it's known for) and I appreciated the wide variety of them that they had. Personally I ate the fish tacos, carnitas, and beef tacos. They were quite tasty but a little bit expensive which was to be expected. Service was good. Overall not bad.

I always come for my pastor tacos here and margaritas! The service is incredible and I always sit next to the taco bar because the cooks Katherine and Jose are amazing! Come for taco Tuesday and try their trompo pastor tacos

Fantastic drinks, great michelada. Cool ambiance and good service. Food is a miss though, my friend and I tried most of the menu and it all was just very mediocre. Was loud on a Saturday night but a great time. I would come back just for drinks.

My friends and I went here for some late night food and drinks. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed it very much. Much of the food is done tapa style, you order a bunch of small plates and order some drinks to enjoy with them. For vegetarians they do offer cactus filling in their tacos. I thought the tacos were well made albeit a little pricey (but hey you're in a chic bar in the Mission so what do you expect?). The drinks were also well done and quite tasty.

What a fun spot for Taco Tuesday! They offer dollar tacos every Tuesday from 5 to 7, as well as happy hour drinks and bites daily from 5 to 7. Happy hour / Taco Tuesday is offered throughout the whole space and not just at the bar. I came on a Tuesday around 5:45 pm and was able to snag the last open table all the way in the back for my group of 3. For HH drink specials, they offer $7 margaritas and palomas as well as a couple of beers and a beer + tequila cocktail. There are two choices for the dollar tacos: taco el califa (nopales, queso qaxaca) and taco al pastor (spit-roasted pork, pineapple, onion). I had both the margarita and paloma as well as a couple of the al pastor tacos. Both drinks were pretty good and a great deal at $7. Tacos were small, as you can probably imagine, but tasty. The meat was a little hard but flavorful. You can see the spit-roasted pork at the front of the bar right as you walk in. Bathrooms are shared with Tacolicious which is right next door.

I recently started online dating again and needed to find a casual, no pressure bar spot to meet my Bumble Date. My date wanted to meet in the Mission District, and Mosto immediately came to mind! It's in walking distance to BART and two Muni bus lines, so travel was very easy. Mosto has a great selection of affordable drinks, including local beer, wine, and cocktails. Although I've had their amazing cocktails, including the very delicious Paloma (with mezcal), that particular night I got a pint of the Henhouse pale ale and then a pinto of Modelo Especial. I also love the food and had to get the al pastor tacos--a Mosto must and never disappoints. With dark walls and candlelight, the space feels intimate. The music and bustle of people (many friend groups and other people on dates) liven the bar. This place is hip without being pretentious, and I often come here by myself just to eat tacos and drink beer. Happy Hour is everyday from 5-7PM. You'll thank me later.

I've been coming here since they 1st opened. I came here before I ever went to Tacolicious. (Same owners and right next door) I love this place! I came here originally for the food esp the burger which Ill get to later...l never sat at the bar when I came cuz I didn't drink cocktails much and I didn't know anything about tequila or mezcal and I really just came here for the food (esp that burger)! Now I still come here for the food but also for the drinks, atmosphere and service. The service is amazing! The bartenders serve the food as well as make drinks and they are on top of it! Bar service doesn't suffer. The bartenders are fast and generally friendly and approachable. Josue is great! He knows so much about tequila and mezcal and can make great recommendations. Edward and Tyler are also great guys. Jose is the cook who worked here before the pandemic. He does amazingly well w the small flat top at the end of the bar. I esp love the tacos al pastor made the traditional way on a spit served w roasted pineapple. As for the burger...well here comes my only criticism...the burger is not what it used to be. Originally called quesoburguesa when I 1st tried it in 2013, It is a cheeseburger and the oaxacan cheese is 1st cooked rt on the flat top so it gets brown and and caramelized b4 the put it on the patty. They still do this and that's the good news.,However, now it's called a "smash"burger and they literally smash the burger several times on the griddle squeezing out all the juice and flavor. The last time I ordered it the woman cooking smashed it no less than 5 times!! I cringed each time! The meat was dry and had no flavor. A true smash burger is flattened only one time when the meat 1st put on the griddle. The old burger was so juicy that I used to hold it over the delicious potato chips knowing the meat juice would drip onto my chips. I still order it once in a while but I wish that who's ever in charge would consider going back to leaving the burger alone and leaving the juices and flavor in the meat. But I still love this place!

Some of the best tacos I've had in San Francisco. Came with a variety of delicious sauces. Tacos were so good I forgot to take a picture before I ate them all.

This place is right next to Tacolicious and shares an entryway with them too. I'm sure there's some competition there, and both places have great food, but so different! I came here for the drinks and more traditionally portioned tacos. Their hot sauces or salsas are so good - green over the red. Bartenders serve both food and drink by the bar, where their meat is sliced and regrilled, so you can I imagine the excitement seeing some tacos being plated for you. Definitely recommend!

We have been coming for a while now since I work nearby. The tacos never disappoint me. The drinks are also always on point. Highly recommend it!

Nice cozy bar on valencia with tasty cocktails, good service, and...an al pastor spit? How do you expect me to say no to that? Finished off the night with a mezcal tasting. Would come back.

New favorite HH spot. $8 margs every day from 5-7? Awww yeahhhh. But seriously, this is a deal that's hard to find in the city. And on top of that, your marg isn't coming from a pitcher of pre-made stuff and I was very happy with the balance of liquor to mix-ins. It's the little things, ya know? It's also in the heart of the mission and very easy to hop from bar to bar. Will certainly be back, Mosto!

Came here on a saturday evening with around 15 people with no reservations. We were kind of a mess of a group of people but the host accommodated us since the tables did not answer their confirmation text. We took 3 outdoor tables and ordered many drinks and some food. I was surprised at the great service considering we were so many people and kind of annoying. It was also my friends birthday and our attentive server, Quinten was great. There was an error on our part and he even comped the drink for my friends birthday. The complementary salsa was BOMB and the servers kept refilling our chips& salsa. (i felt bad cause we ate so much free chips/salsa) but hopefully this great yelp review will be enough. Thanks for the great night!

Love the happy hour here. Cheap & delish Palomas and the cubana is yum yum. Pretty small space and hella dark - better for the summer when there's still sunlight.

Still got its charm. Management has changed, menu has changed and quality and flavor have only gotten better, prices a litter higher as well. Been coming for 4 years now and it used to have my all-time favorite cheeseburger.. menu changed, burger just got better! HOW?!?! 4/5 Crab tostada- fresh chilled crab meat, crunchy tostada and nice colorful veggie on top, it was really good but let's call it what it is, it's a bite 5/5 Burger, trust and get it, they have now added ham to it and it elevated the flavor 5/5 ceviche is dime a dozen in this area but you killed it with the sauce, its acidic, spicy, savory, sweet, and some tequila? I couldn't get enough One burger, a mini tostada, and a ceviche with tips clocked in at ~$55

My favorite happy hour in SF, my favorite Taco Tuesday in SF, my favorite tacos place in SF period. As much as burritos are all the rage in the Bay and particularly the Mission area, there are many times I don't really want the rice and beans taking away from the essential flavors. The happy hour and Taco Tuesday menu doesn't have too many options, but what they have is all you need. Two taco options: al pastor and cactus. I tried the cactus and I am definitely not a fan, but if you don't eat meat or want to try it out, go for it. The al pastor tacos though are on point, the best tacos I've had outside of Mexico and SoCal, which is really saying something. And they're only $1 on Taco Tuesday! Definitely get the al pastor torta as well, can't come here without getting one of those. My go-to each visit is usually 3 tacos and 1 torta. Also a margarita and paloma, each has the option to add tequila or mezcal. I'm almost pained to write this review because when we went yesterday, it was wayyyyy too crowded and food was backed up ~15 minutes (they only have one rotating spit for the pork and a small pan area) but I think everyone deserves to know about this amazing location.

To be fair, I'm not a big fan of mezcal or tequila, but even so I think this is an awesome spot to hang out in. Little on the small side, but there are some tables in the back where you can seat a decent size group of people. Music was not recognizable, but all of my friends and I were a fan of the music choices and pretty much Shazam'ed the whole night away. Seems like you can order things from the Tacolicious menu (right next door) but we only looked at the drinks. Can I first just say that the mezcal menu is HUGE (think 6+ pages)? It's a shame that you only get the mezcal menu upon request, because I think this is the highlight of this bar. The servers are huge fans of mezcal and will walk you through this menu and answer any questions you have for the curious mind on mescal (from how it is made to different styles to stupid questions on difference between mezcal and tequila). We were aided by Christian Arizmendi, who was very knowledgeable on mescal and gave us 3 different ones to try (one smoky, one fruity, and one more herbal and vegetable tasting). He sat down at the table with us with the three bottles and explained the differences between the mezcals he brought. He even served us one for free, a mezcal de pechuga, which included goat meat drippings. Another cute thing here is that the ceiling is lined with glass jars and you can leave messages (almost like a time capsule) in them upon request (no charge). My three friends and I did this when we went last time. My advice when you come here: order mezcal; not tequila or any familiar cocktail you usually order, but MEZCAL. Come in with an open mind and pick the waiter's brain a bit and explore the world of mezcal. Even if you don't like the drink, like me, you at least will walk away impressed by how knowledgeable the staff is on mezcal.

We bought a $21 per person deal ($54 with tax and tip) from Sosh. The deal includes 3 tequila cocktails tasting and a taco. We ate before we got there since we were just getting one taco and can't really drink on an empty stomach. We went in, told the bartender that we were with Sosh and were instantly seated at one of the bar tables against the wall. The decor was interesting and it wasn't too loud in there. We were promptly given the menus and a few minutes later, were given our first drink. I thought the first two cocktails were good, but not very inspired. They almost tasted alike. I could not really discern the St. Germain from the second cocktail. My husband and I did not like the third cocktail (Tomato Salad) at all. We've both had good mezcal before (from Acme Bar in Berkeley), but have only had it neat. The mix just did not work for us. We ended up not finishing it. As for food, it was a little ridiculous. The al pastor taco was miniscule, maybe 3 inches in diameter. Might as well charge more and make it a bit bigger. My husband had the pastrami taco which was more expensive but it was bigger. He liked it as he is a big pastrami fan. Service was fine, though it would have been nicer to have had the drinks explained by the bartender/server. I really liked not having to deal with the bill. We've done this before using Open Table and found it to be convenient. All in all, we won't be back to this place. The cocktails were not out of the ordinary except for the Tomato Salad which we did not like, and would definitely not be back for the food. There are so many good taquerias in the area that I can't think of any reason to spend $2.50 for such a small taco.

Was so excited to bring my friends to Mosto this past Friday. Been here several times, as I used to work across the street and always had great experiences pre-covid. This time the service was awful! We ordered drinks and food, our food came and the drinks came 20 minutes later. We had to get up and ask for our drinks, the server/bartender (Michelle?) worked with zero urgency and was so dismissive. The whole reason we went there was to celebrate my friend signing a lease on an apartment nearby and I wanted to take her somewhere that I thought she'd like. I love this place and really expected much more since they reopened.

One of my favorite spots for a tasty drink. I have been going to Mosto for 3 years now, since I moved to the city and will never stop going. For drinks I always get something from the special menu (the yellow one in the middle of the big menu lol) and my favorite drink are the I-Grade, La Paloma and this new one called Todo Mejor - it really makes everything better, specially for spicy drink lovers. For food, definitely get the tacos, their pastrami and al pastor with pineapple are my favorites. The bartenders are sweet and the guy who actually creates the drinks is one of a kind - SUCH an AMAZING person and you can ask him anything about any drink, he will help you out. Love you Mosto, soooo much!

The have a big selection of Mezcals and tequilas, the mix drinks are pretty good The tacos: well they are a single tortilla taco, good amount of meet in them, I've tried the pastrami taco and the al pastor, pastrami a bit salty, but nicely cooked, the al pastor was pretty good.

The food was good but the service was just awful. The waitress had zero idea how to use their POS, got our order wrong multiple times (we ORDERED two, RECEIVED 3, and apparently got CHARGED for 4 until we told her it was wrong) then it took her 10m to figure out how to remove it and I think it's still wrong but we were tired of dealing with it.l and just wanted to leave. Then when we tried to pay the system wouldn't authorize it took another 10m for her to have to go find someone else to do it. She was super nice but boy was it a mess.

Love this place. So happy I found it! The vibe is so warm and inviting and cool and happy. The bartenders and servers are all so real and amazing. My new happy place! Yay.

This place was pretty good overall. I liked the atmosphere, our server, and my spicy margarita. I LOVED the two house sauces. We ordered three things but the taco al pastor is the only one I'd definitely get again. I tried the crickets just to expand my horizons...boring and not good. The ceviche was tasty but TINY for the cost. I think I had three small bites sharing with a friend. :(

Tequila and I are NOT friends. I don't trust him. I think he gets a kick out of embarrassing me in public. Friends just do NOT do that. The first time tequila and I met, I belligerently chanted out loud (over and over again) how my friend was going to get some nookie nookie that morning...in front of the girl he just met....in front of table of 10+ people at 3 AM. The second time at a Vegas Bachelorette party, my friend, the bride-to-be found me on the floor with two Palazzo security guards hovering over me snickering. Apparently, I was trying to get into our hotel room, gave up because I couldn't open the door so I ended up sprawled on the floor like a hobo. I think being on the right floor would have helped. FAIL. My friends now write "Please Return to Palazzo Room #" on my arm." No joke. These days I avoid tequila like a plague. That was until hump day arrived. Looking for a post happy hour spot, Mosto was the closest place within walking distance to where we were according to my Yelp app. All I have to say is Yelp made me do it...again. How many tequila shots do you need to feel tipsy? TWO! How many shots of tequila do you need to get the party started? FIVE! How many shots of tequila do you need to feel invincible?? A WHOLE BOTTLE! ;D I usually prefer my tequila in a margarita or plain in a shot glass with lime. But Mosto is a place where you should do BOTH, not either. Or you could just spend the extra $$ for a tequila flight -- 270+ tequila choices line up the wall and yes, you will have a hard time choosing so ask your bartender for recs. We had the Fortaleza reposado and this is clearly top-quality tequila, it is spicy and rich, none of this Patron stuff. Down that and follow it up with the housemade "sangrita" chaser or the escabeche "pickle-back" and you'll be saying: "ay carumba! una mas por favor...." After you get the booze taken cared of, place an order for the $1.50 Al Pastor tacos. El senor will expertly carve the meat pieces off the rotating grill. He tops it off with grilled pineapple, radish and salsa. I realized that getting 4 isn't enough because they are so, so good! (but so, so TINY!) Friday nights are packed! You'll be elbowing your way to the bar and fighting for the few coveted seats. But the drinks and bites are worth it. If you end up standing with your margarita in hand, look up at the ceiling and count the seemingly endless rows of mason jars that adorn it. There are 3000+ of 'em. My number could be off. You know, tequila shots and all.

Stefanie C. and I went out for a drink and catch up session. We found this place which seemed pretty popular and new (less than 200 reviews at the time of writing). We came early - probably around opening and there were plenty of open seats. I ended up getting this delicious watermelon drink - really refreshing and delicious. I'm a super fan of it - that and tequila. The place is well known for its tequila drinks as well. We ended up sharing a pastrami taco since we both couldn't resist the delicious smell of food. It was delicious - definitely something to get if you're in the area, great new spot in the Mission. Protip: get a drink and a taco!

This place has a nice vibe about it, maybe it's all of the glass jars on the ceiling, not sure, but it's good! The food here is yummy, so make sure you order some tacos (at least) if you are going to be drinking here. My favorite is the pastor but I also liked the pastrami because it's a little different than the usual. As for drinks, well, I'm not an expert here because I don't drink so often but I like the Paloma here a lot! It's yummy, not too sweet but also palatable for someone like me who isn't the biggest fan of the taste of alcohol.
