Mostra Coffee Wins Prestigious Roaster of the Year Award - Eater San Diego

"Carmel Mountain’s Mostra Coffee is celebrating a huge win today. The local roaster was just named 2020 Roaster of the Year by Roast Magazine. Featuring an open bar set-up, with San Diego’s only MAVAM espresso machine that’s built under the counter for a low-profile look, Mostra’s cafe also serves specialty drinks including the Bibingka Creme Brulee Latte inspired by a classic Filipino dessert as well as cold brew steeped with fresh coconut or mixed with homemade banana milk." - Candice Woo

Google
Great experience. This is (in my opinion) one of the best coffee shops in San Diego. The quality of the expresso is top-notch. The only downside is that the place is kind of small inside, but everything else is great.

I went on a rainy weekday and there were no orders ahead of me, but it still took about 15 minutes to get my coffee. The coffee was artistically prepared and the baristas were friendly. But don't be in a hurry if you come here. Cozy dark interior with limited seating.

Greg Metzger

Google
It's a coffee shop and the coffee is excellent, hands down my favorite coffee. I'm a big fan of the Campfire Mocha. You will likely wait for your coffee, minimal staff, always busy, but they are friendly and the place is comfortable.

Google
Amazing coffee concepts and good customer service. The cafe has a cool aesthetic and is nice enough to sit and relax in. We went 2 days in a row to try more drinks. A bit on the pricey side but the product was worth it. Staff was nice too.

Google
Atmosphere: 10/10! But the coffee, not so much. Ordered iced coffee, they literally dumped half the glass of ice in there. I was expecting ice-cold beverage, and It was not... taste was only okay too, definitely not worth the price tag

Google
One of the best lattes I've ever had! Can we just take a second to admire how beautiful my Creme Brulee Latte was? It was as delicious as it was beautiful! The toasted topping was incredible. I had mine with whole milk, but they do offer alternatives. Onto the atmosphere of the coffee shop - first off, it smelled incredible. The overall vibe was very cool. The baristas were very kind and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Overall I had a wonderful experience and can't wait until we are back in town to go again!

Google
Waited in line for 20 mins just to find out they ran out a bunch of items that I came for. And that happened 2 days in a row. Such a waste of time! Please get your act together and respect your customers’ time. Cold brew is very good, which is why they get 2 stars.

Google
"Mostra" is Italian for "show, exhibition or performance" and the four friends who founded Mostra certainly put on a show as they strive for excellence in serving coffee with a mission to make a difference both locally and globally. They source and roast high quality beans from the Philippines which I didn't realize was such a great growing region. Their head roaster, Nick Berardi was named the 2020 Micro Roaster of the Year - as in #1 in the US! Pretty darn impressive! This place has a cool, coffeehouse vibe with an eclectic decor. The juxtaposition of the high ceilings, exposed ductwork and distressed floors with ornate woodwork around the small two-person cushioned alcove booths makes for an inviting spot to enjoy some amazing coffee. There's a long communal table and benches in the center, with a number of smaller tables and the alcove seating. On my last visit, the super helpful barista helped with my debate between the campfire mocha and the crème brûlée latte, with the latter winning out. Opting for skim milk and half sweet was perfect for my taste! I look forward to trying out everything but honestly, I've thoroughly enjoyed just a cup of their regular coffee - it's sooo good. Note: these crafted drinks take time so grab a seat, relax and enjoy the Mostra experience!

Yelp
I decided to come in here to take an early morning meeting and here are the thoughts! 1) I would come here to study, there are plenty of outlets and reliable wifi. Seating was also available in the morning, which is the time that I came. 2) I am not sure if the ambiance is quiet enough to take a meeting, so maybe taking a meeting outside would be better in case you are looking for that. 3) TRY THE UBE LATTE!!! So beautiful, so amazing, and the best part was that it's not too sweet. Felt honestly a bit refreshing! Overall, this place has a unique vibe and folks here are really in tune with the fusion of Filipino flavors with coffee and is just really awesome. Would come back here to work again!

Yelp
This was the third and final coffee shop I visited in San Diego County. Once again, the shop was recommended by few of my coworkers (all of whom attended UCSD) through their Yelp bookmarks. Mostra Coffee was founded by four Filipino-Americans in 2013. In 2020, Mostra Coffee won the "Roaster of the Year" in the Micro Roaster category by Roast Magazine. Mostra Coffee also won the United States Roasters Championship award at the 2022 United States Coffee Championships and won 3rd place in the Cup Tasters at the 2024 United States Coffee Championships. This Carmel Mountain Ranch location is the flagship shop with three other branches in 4S Ranch, Bankers Hill, and Torrey Hills. The new Mira Mesa location is still in the works as of October 2024. [Parking]: Easy & free plaza parking. [Amenities]: They have a long communal table and few indoor tables, but no outdoor seating. [Menu]: Their popular specialty drinks are inspired by Filipino desserts like bibingka crème brûlée latte, turon crème brûlée latte, coconuts cold brew, and ube latte (caffeine free). The Campfire Mocha Latte seems to be another popular choice, but somehow I ended up ordering a cold brew again for the second time in the same weekend. *** One Bra-zillion Coconuts Cold Brew (Brazil cold brew infused with Philippine coconut & vanilla bean, $6.85): I could taste a hint of coconut. The iced coffee had just the right level of acidity and overall it was a solid cold brew coffee. *** My instinct still tells me I should've gone for the crème brûlée latte or campfire mocha latte, but I will probably save them for next time if they ever decide to expand and open a location in Los Angeles County or Orange County.

Yelp
Mostra was one of the places I was looking forward to the most, but ended up being a bit underwhelming. It's a beautiful little corner spot with nice furniture and decor. But the service felt a little bit "uppity" and even the other customers too. I was really looking forward to their crème brûlée lattes! I was bummed to find out you could only get them hot, which is the last thing I wanted during the heat wave of a weekend, but I still really wanted to try it. There weren't any non dairy options either so I knew we probably wouldn't be finishing it. The Turon Creme Brulee Latte really nailed the turon flavor profile though, with house banana milk and a jackfruit syrup. The bruleed topping was the best part of the drink though so once I finished that part, the drink felt incomplete without it. Still giving 4 stars because of my husband's Blueberry Pancakes latte! I love when coffee shops do fruit flavored lattes and they really nailed the blueberry one. You could see the actual blueberry flecks in the drink and the flavor was so delicious and sweet. Would order that drink all over again!

Yelp
Stopped by here on the way home, I got the Creme Brûlée latte and thought it was perfect! Coffee is really good and strong! However, my husband, who is more on the sweet side, got the Bibingka Creme Brulee Latte and thought they both tasted really strong, so definitely ask for extra pumps if you're a sweet tooth. The Bibingka also has a heeeeeavy coconut flavor if you're looking at that one. Wanted to try the turon latte, but they were out :( Place has many tables, looks like a great place to study and cushions on the wall if you just want to chill and drink your coffee. They also have self-serve iced water available on the counter.

Yelp
Mostra Coffee was an interesting coffee spot. This place was recommended from a friend and so we decided to try it out! Another coffee hangout...I see people working, studying, and hanging out. This coffee spot has Filipino inspired coffee flavors. I had the chocobanana latte with cinnamon. The cinnamon was a little strong, but I can definitely taste the banana. It's an interesting flavor concept. I will have to go back and try some of the other flavors. I did have a chance to try the rice pudding flavor, which that was delicious.

Yelp
Their cold brew was great. Service and ambiance was amazing. Didn't love their latte (too sweet) and they weren't making the Vietnamese coffee that we wanted to try unfortunately!

Yelp
One of my Filipino friend groups via Insta shared a reel from this company. Of course, our eyes were tuned into their Filipino items. I had a hair appointment at Bellus Academy in Poway and mapped where there would be a closer Mostra coffee place. Found this location was the closest one. Very cute ambiance inside and great customer service. I decided to get an Ube Cookie and Bibingka Creme Brulee Latte (going all out with the Filipino items). The Ube Cookie was not too bad especially when it was warmed up. I was driving to pick up my daughter so I wasn't able to finish the cookie while it was still warm. I should have ordered a different drink instead of having two coconut items as the Bibingka one contained it as well. The coffee was actually pretty good. I ordered a decaf one. I had a chance to talk to one of the workers and asked what was the history of the Filipino items on the menu. She mentioned that the owners are Filipino and it started off in a garage not too far from this location. Now, they are getting ready to open their 5th location in Miramesa. I told her that it was my first time due to the Insta post and relayed it would be nice to have one in the North County like in the span of 78 fwy. I will come back and try their Mocha as that's my usual drink. I'll go to the RB location as that's the closest one to me.

Yelp
It's a cute coffee shop on the way from our hotel to my daughter's football tournament. I tried their creme brulee latte which they recommended over the coconut cold brew. I subbed almond milk. It was good. Not too sweet nor bitter. Hubs said the Vietnamese coffee was the worst he has had. My son said the ube latte (caffeine free with 2% milk) was just ok. Nothing notable.

Yelp
This was a new location that I was excited to check out, my first experience with Mostra was amazing and I was intrigued by more menu items! This location is much bigger than the location on bankers hill with more open space and seating options, plenty of people with computers doing work and the ambiance is very chill yet perfect as a workspace. The baristas were very kind to take my order as well as help me with the wifi, will definitely be coming back!!
google avatar

Tanushree G.

Yelp
Lovely ambience. Love their quick service and wide variety. Recommended coffee place!
google avatar

Kate T.

Yelp
The menu here is bigger than the Little Italy location. Not a fan of the crème brûlée series; they're too milky for my liking. The blueberry matcha is amazing though!
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
I ordered a blueberry latte and warmed up chocolate croissant. The blueberry latte was sweet and delicious but the chocolate croissant was over toasted and did not have enough chocolate. The staff member that took my order did not give off friendly energy. The shop was busy, several people with laptops. I would return for the delicious blueberry latte.

Yelp
This was my dad's favorite coffee spot. Today, I recommended that we go here because he enjoyed it and I wanted to share the deliciousness with my out of town family. Usually I would get their salted caramel latte or one of the crème brûlée drinks. But this time I decided to be adventurous and order the iced blueberry pancake latte. It was served beautifully with crunchy nugget ice. My aunt got me regular milk, but it's great to note that they have a big list of alternative milks as well. This drink tasted like a blueberry muffin. The blueberry powder and confectioners sugar on top of the latte was a lovely addition. In comparison, this reminded me of a latte that I get in La Mesa, at Public Square Coffee House. It reminded me of their Blackberry Lavender Latte in a way, I think it was because of the blitzed powders. My great aunt ordered a hot salted caramel latte. She said it was nice and strong, but the latte wasn't very hot. She said it was just warmed. My great uncle had a hot regular caramel latte with beautiful caramel drizzle decoration on top. He said it was good as well, but also hot as hot as he would prefer it. The service was great and the music wasn't too loud. I was surprised that there were actually open seating today! I loved the communal table it was nice and not cluttered. There's warm lighting inside which is lovely. And the bathrooms were clean and the lock works great. They even had a little advertisement of their strawberry matcha drink inside the bathroom. I highly recommend this coffee place to everyone. Especially if you have family or friends that are visiting, bring them here!

Yelp
We are from out of state & wanted to try their bibingka latte. They definitely had the flavor down but the coffee after taste, I wasn't a big fan of. The staff were super nice & friendly though!
google avatar

Yelp
What a cool coffee shop we stumbled upon on our way to The Stand. Well...we decided to stop by here after we ate our lunch. There's teas, coffees, and steamers. Pretty cool...any flavor adults have for their latte the same flavor comes in steamers for the kids! Today we ordered the campfire mocha (always need to try every coffee shops mocha) and one bra-zillion coconuts cold brew. Both were equally tasty. Service was fantastic. These baristas know their coffee, so way to go on hiring these employees. Ambiance is super cute. I wish we had time to relax and sip our drinks here. The booths look so cute to sit and hang out, but we had to get going. Maybe next time. Next time I am going to be daring and step out of my comfort zone and try the blueberry pancake latte and maybe one of their filipino inspired ones like the bibingka or turon. Wish there were more locations, but I will make an effort every time we are in Carmel Mountain to stop by! Thanks for the coffee!

Yelp
Came here for our breakfast coffee before brunch, and we ordered our usual drinks than their filipino concoctions you see everywhere on social media. We missed the memo, lol. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is decent, got 2 shots of espresso added and it kept my energy up there til 5pm surviving the safari. This was still on the sweet side and less coffee taste, so heads up. Very clean inside- shows how much they care for the joint. service straight forward and nice, they had banana milk on their menu but almond and chocolate Oat milk is where I draw the line for making milk out of xyz and other concoctions imaginable lol (respect my preferences). My sisters liked their choconana cold brew (not pictured) and the campfire mocha, both were balanced with sugar to coffee notes in my opinion. Will probably come by here again if in the area and to support filipino bidnesses.

Yelp
The moment you walk in, you felt like you're in a neighborhood coffee shop. It has a great ambience to study, work, or chat with friends. Right when I got up to the register and I was immediately acknowledged by a barista. I ordered one of their Filipino flavor lattes, bibingka crème brûlée latte. The milk is infused with Philippine coconut and vanilla bean. Sorry for those that are lactose intolerant as this is dairy milk only. I love how the top is caramelized to give it the sweet taste. However, I felt I tasted more milk than the espresso. Next time, I'll ask for a double shot. Overall it is a good drink and I will order again. Next time I may try their campfire latte. Sounds interesting and anything with graham crackers can be dangerous in a good way. The menu is on the pricey side. I paid a little over $7 for a regular. This is expected for a speciality coffee. Got to support your local small business.
google avatar

Athena A.

Yelp
I was disappointed to see that they use chocolate syrup in the mocha instead of a chocolate powder for an Italian named coffee shop. I had to get a latte instead. The seatings are limited and not everyone can sit due to the crowdedness of the place. Overall, it's a very cute and thoughtfully designed place. I recommend visiting when it's less crowded.
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
I popped in here after a lunch meeting recently to grab a latte and catch up on email. I ordered the Blueberry Latte. It was rather good. The staff suggested it after I asked which to order between it and the Lavender. I tried to go back for a second drink before leaving but the new person asked us to wait a minute twice while she spent 3-4 minutes trying to unscramble some mess she got herself into. Then the payment terminal locked up on the main register, moved to the second register and continued to have issues there as well. I took it as a sign and headed out. Would like to come back and try something else. I enjoyed the interior but think they should have power to the big center tables as well as the little cushioned cubbies behind it.
google avatar

Mikayla M.

Yelp
I tried the creme brûlée latte and wanted it iced but they could only make it hot (not complaining just informing) and I really liked the crunchy torched sugar on top. I would try the bibingka creme brulee latte next time or an iced latte option. There was a super long line when I was here Sunday morning but the drinks came out relatively quickly. There is a lot of indoor seating here so this is a nice place to hang out if you want to drink your coffee there. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in San Diego.
google avatar

Yasmeen E.

Yelp
The cashier was really kind and friendly! He knows his regular customers' orders which shows that he's personable. I am new to Mostra but my usual order anywhere is an iced chai latte. So I ordered that, but the drink was soo grainy I couldn't finish it :/ I'm sure they have good drinks but I probably wouldn't order there again since I only drink tea/chai lattes. But the vibe inside is nice so it could be a good study spot.
google avatar

Claudia A.

Yelp
We ordered Vietnamese coffee and it was ok. It was much sweeter than expected or desired. The place was cute and had a lot of character. Customer service was ok, nothing special.
google avatar

Vidya P.

Yelp
Wonderful and friendly baristas. Very cute indoor area - love the decor. The drinks are great - love the creative options they have available. The outdoor seating is great! Would recommend.

Bruce W.

Yelp
Almost an hour to order. Staff moves at a snails pace or slower. Good stuff but they need system. Watched many people leave.
google avatar

Maria Elena G.

Yelp
The coffee is AMAZING and their customer service always exceeds my expectations!! Vietnamese coffee is epic!!
google avatar

Marichelle D.

Yelp
I ordered a Matcha Latte w/Almond Milk & shots of espresso, extra hot and it was AMAZING! The baristas were really focused on making drinks on this busy Sunday morning. I loved the atmosphere. They had few intimate bench style seats recessed into what looked like an old book case. Very laid back feel and clean. They also had a good amount of tables & seating for a coffee shop. A little on the pricey side but they have great coffee.
google avatar

Elmira R.

Yelp
Mostra Coffee is a delightful spot with a lot of charm. The staff are super friendly and remember regulars' orders, which makes you feel right at home. The inside has a cozy, stylish vibe that's perfect for studying or just hanging out. The decor is really cute, and the drinks are always on point. Plus, the outdoor seating is a great place to relax. Definitely worth a visit!
google avatar

Charles H.

Yelp
I expect the coffee products are good here, but I never got that far. I want to say that many people enjoy having a relaxing conversation over a cup of coffee. I'm here to tell you that's NOT happening here on weekend mornings. It's rather small inside with a high ceiling and hard surfaces everywhere, which all serve to create a loud din. There are few tables and you can't even escape to a table on the patio outside because there is no patio, more of a sidewalk. And no tables So I guess just get it to go...I'm sure that scenario is fine.
google avatar

Tammy S.

Yelp
My go-to coffee place for those early mornings. Love the vibe, music, and people here. I can't get enough of their crème brûlée latte with almond or oatmilk. Hot tip: sign up for their rewards program and get those free drinks. We usually put in a mobile order to pick up on the go, but to redeem your rewards you need to order at the register after signing into the key pad to see them. Enjoying my on-the-house latte now as I type!
google avatar

Eva G.

Yelp
This place has been around for years and I finally got a chance to drop by and enjoy a coffee beverage! Yay!!! We chose the Bibingka Latte and the Honey Lavender Latte w oat milk. Both were very delicious. I actually liked the Bibingka ( coconut vanilla ) more. Look forward to trying out other beverages and items when I'm in the area.
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
Stopped by for my weekly caffeine fix and tried the campfire mocha. For a 12 oz, it was about $7 w/o tip. A little on the pricier side but the quality was there (and with inflation still on the rise it's somewhat reasonable). The drink was a bit too sweet for my tastebuds but it was still delicious and sure did the trick to keep me up to run my errands! The baristas here are very sweet. And very skillful! Check out how pretty my drink is below ;). The stores decorations are festive (Halloween decorations are up right now) and they even have some fall drink specials out! The overall ambience is welcoming and relaxing. Would come back again to try something else.
google avatar

Sanji S.

Yelp
A great gem of a coffee shop in the Poway area! Love the ambiance on a rainy day. They have very unique latte creations which you'll definitely be paying for in the price but it's good. For a fast pick me up get the Vietnamese Coffee.

Yelp
Was waiting for "The Stand" to open up for lunch and thought I'd swing by Mostra Coffee while I waited. I loved that they had a wide variety of Expresso drinks that are Classics, Creme Brulee Lattes, Signature Lattes, Cold Brew, Tea, Hot Cocoa and Steamers. What intrigued me is that they carried Fiipino inspired flavors like Bibinka Creme Brulee Latte and Turon Creme Brulee Latte. I had a hard time deciding but finally gave in to the Turon Creme Brulee Latte. It featured a jackfruit syrup and house made banana milk. The Turon Creme Brulee Latte was a nice warm Latte with that hit of banana milk taste. I loved how different it gave that turon vibe and so unique. I really need to go back for the Bibinka Creme Brulee Late. I absolutely love Bibinka as a dessert! Mostra Coffee is inviting with such a large area for seating whether its a large table or a single "booth" that was cozy for my lonesome self. Everything was clean and such a chill vibe. Prices range depending on what you order. It can be as low as $4 to as high as a little over $7. Not only is it a chill vibe, the people work there are friendly and pretty quick even with as many orders as they get. Two thumbs up for Mostra! Hopefully I'll be back in the area soon to grab some caffeine here ;-)

Yelp
Quality coffee in north county San Diego! Mostra Coffee is unique and inventive, and has some of the best coffee around. After all, they were named the 2020 Roaster of the Year by Roast Magazine. As I made my way through the doors to Mostra Coffee, I was immediately enveloped by the welcoming and mood-enhancing aroma of their freshly brewed coffee. And then my eyes were drawn to the beautiful floral artwork on the digital menu board and the large letters along the large wall that define what Mostra means. Truly, Mostra is nothing short of a winning performance because their coffee has great body. Of course, the packaging was super cute - I had to buy both Ghost Bear and Yellow Catuai. At the shop, I ordered a cup of their signature hot Bibingka Crème Brûlée Latte and Turon Crème Brûlée Latte. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the Turon Crème Brûlée Latte - and I am usually not big on Turon or jackfruit. Both were delicious! I would love to come back and try their Campfire Mocha or the Blueberry Pancakes Latte. If you want to try what a winning coffee tastes like, head over to Mostra Coffee. (You're welcome!)

Yelp
Super busy and loud coffee place. Coffee was good if you're into super sweet concoctions.

Yelp
I come here for only one thing: Vietnamese Coffee. It's a nice spot with a great ambiance. Their customer service is always above and beyond expectations.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Carmel Mountain serving very unique crème brule coffee where you have delicious caramelized crunchy sugar on top of your latte. The coffee itself is medium bodied and not acidic at all. It is very smooth and the barista made the coffee in perfect temperature so it practically slides down your throat. They also have other crème brule that's Philippine inspired with banana milk that was also delicious. If you are looking for a unique coffee drink, definitely give Mostra a try.
google avatar

Camille H.

Yelp
I got a blueberry matcha latte with almond milk and it was awesome! It tasted like a blueberry muffin. I hadn't seen that available before so it was very unique and I'm glad it lived up to my expectations. I went early so it was very quiet and low-key. My drink came out quickly, staff were friendly and helpful, and it's really cute inside.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm not a big coffee drinker, 'cause a quarter cup of coffee can keep me wired all day. But this place is so cute! Their honey lavender latte is one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had! They also sell these huge jugs of cold brew, that make for an excellent gift! And on top of that, they have pretty good-looking servers, my husband even agreed. ;) If ever around or passing through, you can be sure I'll stop by again!
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
This review is solely for their coffee beans - first off, the best coffee beans I have tried so far! I am now a die hard Mostra fan. I've had many different brands ranging from the generic ones you see at markets to higher end coffee beans but Mostra's Ghost Bear blend is truly the best. I also recently tried Mama Bear and Papa Bear and those are yummy as iced americanos or lattes. I order consistently from Mostra's website every time close to running out of beans. I really like and want to continue supporting local coffee roasters, especially those that are women, immigrant, and/or minority-owned so buying my beans here was the best idea I made this year. Just got the 2.2lb bag of Ghost Bear and I grind the beans fresh every morning. The staff was nice enough to include a lil note which made my day :) Nothing better than looking forward to a fresh cup of latte to wake up to and start your 9 to 5! Also love that they have Filipino based drinks - that's so unique and have not seen that before. Definitely have to try their bibingka latte next time I'm in the area!

Yelp
The Vietnamese iced coffee is our go to! So sweet and good value. The iced blueberry pancake latte was pretty good and not overly sweet. Their croissants are huge and fluffy! The most expensive croissants but worth it. A few tables and booths but the booths don't have tables.

Yelp
5 stars from me because not only the matcha iced latter was great, their services was AMAZING! Thank you for the staff for being so helpful on my first time here, going to come back next time when I'm in town. DIdn't even know they were establish since 2013, ten years ago and I'm thinking where have I been? I don't know what type of ice they used but today was hot and I wanted more iced in mines and let me tell you, it kept my matcha icy -cold for at least 1hour because after getting this my bestie and I headed over to Costco; on which I left this drink in the car. Came back about and it was still cold and not water down that much. Love their decorations and the vibes of the place is a great place for studying or catching up with your bestie over coffee. I love the mudroom nook where you can sit and wait for your drink to be done. I got the matcha latte iced and my bestie got the blueberry matcha which I'm going to get next time!

Yelp
I love coffee which is why I loooooove Mostra. It's really clean when you go inside and has enough seating for you to grab a chair, open your laptop, and start getting to work. There's a really large table in the middle for sharing some space with others or if you're there with family. I usually get a cortado and a house coffee. I love when you can get a coffee and have no need to add cream or sugar and Mostra does it right! They also have an iced Vietnamese that I get on a regular basis for mobile order. As for the service, I've always been super thankful that the baristas are extremely polite and helpful. Highly recommend, I get a coffee here at least once a week

Yelp
Mostra was recently recommended to me as one of few favorites in the San Diego area. Since purchasing my own espresso machine, I've been a bit pickier when it comes to trying out new coffee shops. I was neither impressed nor disappointed with Mostra. It was simply average to me. I purchased one Iced Blueberry Pancake latte and one Iced Cookie Butter latte w/ half & half as my milk alternative. Both were not too sweet, very creamy, but the espresso taste was very faint. I already had my coffee fix earlier at home, otherwise I would've added another shot to each. The cost of the drink, milk alternative, and additional shot make me hesitant to come back. If you like to really taste the espresso, I advise you to add another shot to your latte.

Yelp
This is probably one of my favorite coffee shops!! My favorite part about this coffee shops is the noise of the airplanes going over because I'm an AvGeek! The coffee shop itself inside has a very elegant vibe to it since all the colors inside are cohesive and vibe well! I love their custom built espresso machine it makes delicious coffee! My favorite coffee is the dark chocolate mocha latte. Some of the other Filipino inspired flavors are really good as well such as the bibinka latte. One of my favorite cold brews is the Vietnamese ice coffee! The staff are really friendly and are always happy to give you some recommendations according to your preferences! This is definitely one of our family favorite coffee shops!

Yelp
I wanted to like Mostra a lot because the drinks sound so good but every time I've had them they're just decent. It's not a coffee shop I'll go to on my own but if someone suggests it I won't say no. I've had just their beans before and those are excellent! I was also super disappointed that they HEAVILY sweeten their matcha. I wasn't aware and ordered one and couldn't drink it. (I'm one of the freaks that takes matcha fully unsweetened).

Yelp
Super interesting spot, incredible coffee! The inside is decorated in such a unique way. Lots of interesting paint, wallpaper, seating areas, and kind of an industrial or steam punk vibe. Fun place to try something different and the flat white was superb.
